Being best friends with the alpha of my pack had its perks. Right now one of the perks was letting my wolf out and run freely among the woods in the middle of the night.
I loved the way the wind blew against my fur and the way the sky looked as the moon shone above me through the trees.
'We are almost there' One of my Best friends Drew, mind linked me and my wolf grew excited. We were all racing to the lake that separated our pack from the boarder. Our Alpha my best friend Hayes, his two Beta's Colt and Tyler were along with us, and of course Drew and Daphne, who was Tyler's mate and were all my best friend.
As soon as we got to the lake we all drank from it quenching our thirst. The distance From the pack house to the boarder was a good distance so we were destined to be very thirsty by the time we got here which we were use to because We did this run every night together.
'You got water on your little Wolfy face.' Colt teased me through our mind link when he saw me lift my muzzle from the water. I watched as His big brown wolf dipped his nose in the lake and rubbed against me making my silver wolf body back away.
'Stop it!' I laughed.
'He just wants an excuse to touch your soft ass fur, you know that angel.' Tyler told me something we all knew.
'Of course! we all know' Daphne added and we all laughed through the mind link. 'Let's shift back.' Daphne suggested to us all. 'I want to lay under the moon.'
We all listened to Daphne's suggestion and went behind separate trees to shift back into human form and re- dressed ourselves since we always kept extra clothes out here for this specific reason.
After I put my shorts and shirt on I tied my long hair into a messy bun and walked over to Hayes while passing Daphne and Tyler who were cuddling in the grass.
Hayes stood in front of the lake watching the sky. He didn't bother wearing a shirt only jeans not that it bothered me if you know what I mean. He had the type of abs and muscles that you want to lick maybe even suck on if he'd let you. Which he would love for me to do that to him.
"Of course I would." I was startled by Hayes's deep chuckling voice.
"Sometimes I forget you guys are always listening to my thoughts." I rolled my eyes.
"Yup!" Ty (Tyler) agreed while sitting with everyone else. I rolled my eyes once more.
Since we are all in the same pack we are granted the luxury of talking to each other through mind link and reading each other's minds and if you wanted privacy from someone in the pack from reading your mind Then you can simply block people out.
It sounds easy but I'm the only one who doesn't know how to block people out and the boys won't teach me because they love hearing my thoughts, especially my dirty ones.
"I came to see if you were alright." I told Hayes as I stood next to him watching the moon. "You seem...distant."
He was usually cracking jokes with us all like usual. But tonight he was quiet and separated himself.
Hayes looked at me intently. His deep voice boomed with seriousness.
"Something doesn't feel right tonight." He peered around us suspiciously.
Just as he said that a snapping sound came from the same side of us in the woods. Immediately the boys stood in front of daphne and I, providing some type of shield from whatever was lurking on our territory.
'Wolves.'
Colt told us through mind link and Hayes nodded because he already knew. His entire body language changed as he switched into Alpha mode and I could read his thoughts clearly.
He was on high Alert and would snap a wolf in half without questions asked if they tried to attack me or daphne.
Thank god it wasn't rogues though. My wolf was going crazy inside of me suddenly and I don't know why. She was uneasy and excited for some reason and then a strong delicious scent invaded my nostrils. My heart beat sped up rapidly and my body felt like it was on fire. A good fire.
"SHOW YOURSELVES INSTEAD OF HIDING IN THE SHADOWS." Hayes shouted and the scent I smelled grew stronger and my wolf went even crazier as these mystery wolves stalked out of the woods.
Hayes kept me behind him when he felt me shaking, he and the boys realized what was happening to me before I did. One of the wolves coming towards us was my Mate. All of us except Tyler, couldn't wait till the day we found our mates and now I have found mine. I was exhilarated and terrified of who my mate was and I began thinking would he even except me when he meets me because even though it's frowned upon, mates get rejected all the time.
Five guys emerged from the woods looking defiant and simply BAD. It was like the wind stopped when these guys showed themselves to us. My breath caught in my throat when I saw the guy in the middle. At first glance I knew he was my mate. I felt it and my wolf knew it too she was howling inside of me with joy and want. She wanted to be wrapped up in his strong embrace this instant.
I whimpered quietly at the sight of him he was a Greek god. Tall, His hair was short and darker then the night and I couldn't quite make out his eye color because I stood behind all of the boys. I just knew He was the definition of hot and i melted just looking at him.
"Well well well, if it isn't Alpha Titus." Hayes smirked walking forward.
"Alpha Titus?" I repeated in my head. I've heard of him before. He and his pack were known to be vicious murderers and simply bloodthirsty. They were dangerous and namely had the biggest pack ever. No one knew how many members Alpha Titus had, rumors of the numbers always changed.
I was scared out of my mind of him
yet hot heat kept forming between my legs just at the sight of my handsome terrifying mate.
When I looked up and saw Hayes standing near them I could tell Titus's entourage didn't like Hayes standing so close to Titus and that made me instantly not like them either.
"What are you doing here? I thought you and your mutts weren't coming until next week?" I rolled my eyes at Hayes's mutt comment. Why did he have to start something by saying that? I didn't even know Hayes knew Alpha Titus but listening to what he just said, they must have spoken to one another before.
A sexy musical chuckle came from my Mates mouth and I almost moaned. He had to have one of the most sexiest chuckles on earth and I was getting even hotter just by hearing it.
"I come and go as I please." My mate's deep voice responded so smoothly that a purr left my lips and I quickly covered my mouth with my hand.
Shit shit shit.
Alpha Titus and his entourage all looked towards my way suspiciously. "Who is the girl?" Titus demanded, His voice booming and my body shook in pleasure. Oh god this guy was gonna kill me just with his voice. I was glad they couldn't see me though because colt and drew were blocking me and Daphne protectively.
"None of your fucking business." Hayes spat cockily. "You can take your mutts and go to your pack house now that I know you are here." Hayes commanded in his Alpha tone but Tittus nor his friends didn't budge.
Another chuckle flew out of my mates mouth and I almost passed out.
"My wolf is telling me she is my business." His voice turned ice cold and serious. Another whimper escaped my lips and Alpha Titus's wolf responded with a pleasurable moan. Both of our wolves knew they've found each other.
"Let me see your face sweetheart." Titus called out to me and I whimpered again in pleasure and I swear if he continued to talk to me like this I would go to him.

"She's not your mate." Hayes scoffed. "She's mine."
Hayes words must have pissed my mate and his friends off because they viciously growled when Hayes said that. "Don't you claim what's mine." Titus growled.
"I will gladly wrip Your throat out right here right now and take my mate, pleasure her and mark her in front of your fucking face." Titus stated with so much venom in his voice that I believed he would do exactly what he said. I wouldn't dare put my pack in danger because I won't willingly go to my terrifying mate so if I had to go him in order for them to be safe then I would go.
'I'll go' I told Hayes through the mind link and he immediately growled in defiance.
'NO' Hayes responded with anger laced in his voice.
'Yes' I groaned. 'No fighting. I don't want you and the boys or Daphne getting hurt because of me.'
'He won't touch us' Hayes growled lowly. 'He's on my territory. Your not going with him, you don't even know him.'
Hayes turned to look at me giving me a harden stare and I nodded. I didn't know Alpha Titus. For all I know he could take me with those scary looking guys and kill me or something. Yeah, the rumors I've heard of him had me scared shitless of him and his wolves.
"Stop fucking talking to her through mind link." Titus sneered angrily. "She's mine, I can feel it and so can she. Give her to me or I will take her. You decide." Titus cockily stood there calling the shots like i was some sort of property he wouldn't back down from claiming.
'He's fucking scary Hayes' I groaned because his angry voice was enticing and scaring me at the same time. 'I can't go with him, I can't'
Hayes nodded at me and looked towards Titus again. I could tell Titus was becoming impatient.
"If you calm the fuck down and stop scaring her maybe she would want to go with you." Hayes snarled and Titus immediately looked my way.
"I don't mean to scare you love." His face went soft at the thought of scaring me. "But you are my mate and your Alpha won't recognize that. I've waited too many years searching for you, wanting to feel your lips against mine and your body underneath me as I pleasure you until your screaming my name uncontrollably."
"Shut up with your disgusting words" Hayes growled Disgusted.
"My mate loves it." Titus smirked. "I can tell by the way she's moaning and purring for me." And he was right. My body was calling out for him and if I could walk over to him right this instant then I would but I was stuck in place leaning up against Colts back.
I couldn't move my body at all. Titus's words, his voice had me paralyzed.
"I'm going to sneak you into the van Commander X is bringing right now." Colt whispered to me and I nodded. Hayes and Titus were to busy making threats to realize Colt was carrying me back into the darkness of the woods towards the now awaiting van. Daphne followed behind us and I almost forgot she was even with us.
X was in the driving seat waiting Patiently as Colt opened the door as he put the both us in the back seat.
Daphne closed the door and sat in fear. I've never saw her this scared in the past year that we've known her.
"Whats going on?" X asked us as he began driving.
"Alpha Hayes only intructed me to meet you two in the woods."
"Angelina has found her mate." Colt mumbled referring to my real name as I lay across his lap. I began regaining myself since we were distancing from my mate. My paralyzation was fading since I couldn't hear my mates sexy voice anymore and my wolf was furious with me.
"Wow congratulations." X smiled at me. "Who is it and why are you running away from him?" He asked confusingly while occasionally staring at us from his mirror.
"Because it's Alpha Titus" Colt growled.
Mentioning his name answered X's questions and a look of horror flashed across his aging face. Our entire pack seemed to be afraid of Titus.
'HES COMING' Hayes's voice flashed through our mind link In a panicked tone just as the entire van flew sideways tumbling over and a bunch of loud howls surrounded us.
