~Liam's P.O.V.~
I was blinded by the sun as I walked down the sidewalk back to the hotel. The rest of the conversation with Bella was a blur. I was still a little surprised that she was moving on from Niall so quickly. She caught me up on her life in L.A. She was debating weather to change careers or not. I honestly thought she should pursue singing or musical theatre.
After we finished catching up, Bella headed home. She had a lot of work to do, and some decisions to make. Now I was walking down the sidewalk. Everything had been peacful until know. I heard a shriek from a girl, not to far behind me. "IT'S LIAM PAYNE FROM ONE DIRECTION" she yelled for the whole world to see. That got the attention of some other girls. The hotel had been so close.
Soon, I was surrounded by girls, and being bombarded with questions about things.
"Are you and Bella together?"
"What happened to Chloe?"
"When is the new album coming out?"
"Can I have a picture?"
"Please sign my picture!"
I tried to get a few pictures, but I didn't answer any of the questions. I walked at a brusque pace to the outside of the hotel, the girls followed like a pack of hungry wolves. I went inside the hotel before they could ask for anything else. I Love our fans, but sometimes, they can just get a little to much. Sometimes I just need a break from being famous. I shook off the questions as I rode the elevator up to our floor. I needed to change and get ready for dinner.
I stepped out of the elevator, and waked down the hallway. I slipped the key card into the hotel room we were sharing right now. Niall was in their on his phone. "Hey" I smiled. How was I going to tell him. I was just getting on friend terms with him.
"So, I was thinking we could invite Bella to dinner. Maybe Emily if Harry wants to or-"
"Niall, Bella is going on a date tomorrow night" I blurted out to him. Niall stood their, showing no emotion. "Niall?" I asked, not sure if he heard me. "Are you.... OK?" I asked him worried.
Niall snapped out of his thoughts. "That's great" he forced a fake smile. I've known him for almost 3 years. I can tell when he is lying. "We aren't dating, so it doesn't matter" I could see the pain in Niall's eyes as he spoke.
"I don't really think she likes him" I told him. "I mean, apparently they had a thing going on when she lived in Oregon, but she broke it off when she moved to London but-"
"So they've..... you know.... done it?" asked Niall.
"Um.... Niall I think she was like 15 when she moved. I doubt she actually had sex with him-"
"I know' Niall interrupted. "That is a silly question isn't it" he sighed. "Where are they going to?" he asked curiously.
"I don't know but-" I was cut off my the sound Niall's phone ringing. He glanced at it. I could see out of the corner of my eye that it was Bella calling. "Um... I'll just go meet up with Harry for dinner. You take your phone call" I said. I didn't want to be here for the awkwardness.
As I closed the hotel room door, all I heard was Niall say "Hello?" into his phone.
~Niall's P.O.V.~
"Hello?" I said into the phone, even thought i knew it was Bella.
"Hey Niall" Bella's voice ran through the phone. "Um.... I don't know if this would be awkward for you or not, but I have a question" she said.
"Ask away" I said, scared of the question.
'Well, I decided I would try getting into a program so I can major in vocal performance." she said. "I need to do a duet with someone, and I was hoping you would be willing to do it with me. I would ask Emi- I mean one of the other boys, but we aren't that close. And none of my other friends are that.... talented when it comes to singing" she explained.
"I'd love to. What song is it?" I asked her.
"Candles, by Hey Monday. The audition is next week, but I was thinking we could get together to practice it" she suggested.
"Sure, how about tomorrow" I said, not thinking.
"Eh.... I don't know exactly how to tell you this Niall. I have a date tomorrow. It's just a friend from Oregon that moved out-"
"I know about it" I told her. 'Liam caught me up on all of it"
"Oh..... are you OK?" she asked me.
"Yeah, i'm happy for you" I said, my voice cracking. I wasn't. Neither of us said anything.
"Ummm..... I should probably go" I said standing up. well this was awkward. "I was supposed to meet the lads for dinner. We have an interview tomorrow"
"Ah, yeah. I have some stuff to finish for school." she explained. "Well, I'll call you later" she said. I didn't say anything. I was afraid that if I opened my mouth, I would admit that I missed her, and still loved her. "Bye" was the last thing Bella said before she hung up the phone.
She moved on. I was starting to think that it was my turn to move on as well.
~Bella's P.O.V.~
The day after I talked to Niall on the phone, me Maddie, and Emily were sprawled out on the couch together. Hunter sat on my lap. We were waiting for the boys' interview to be on. "Wow, this is dejavu" Emily pointed out. She was right. It seemed like just yesterday, me Emily, and Rebecca were waiting for the interview to start as we sat in London.
"yeah, but those were different times" I reminded her. "Everything is different this time around" I knew I was right. Things between our group would never be the way that they used to be. Emily opened her mouth, but before she could comment, the boys came on the screen.
"I am here with ONE DIRECTION!" The excited young female interview screamed into the microphone. "Please just go down the line and state your names" she said.
"Liam"
"Zayn"
"Louis"
"Louis is hot" Maddie commented as she put her head on my shoulder tiredly.
"Harry"
"Harry is hotter" Emily commented.
"Niall" They both turned to me as if they were waiting for me to say something about Niall, but I just kept my eyes facing forward at the TV.
"So boys, how are you enjoying L.A. so far?" she asked, getting closer to Zayn.
"It's amazing" Liam commented.
'Yeah" Harry agreed. "We are loving this warm weather. We are also getting to reconnect with some really good friends" Harry said. I could practically feel Emily smiling beside me.
"Does this 'Friend' happen to be someone by the name of Emily Myers?" she asked. Harry blushed. She held up a picture for the camera. It was Harry and Emily in the park. "Apparently she is an actress, signer, and dancer" she said. Harry looked shocked for a second, but then remembered that he was on TV.
"Um.... yeah. That's my girlfriend. Emily." he said. I could feel Emily get a little bit nervous.
'I haven't told him yet" she whispered to me. I could tell Maddie hadn't caught on to what the interviewer had said, because she was still looking at the TV, absorbed into the interview.
"It's fine. He probably thinks its just some kind of mistake" I turned back to the interview after I said this.
"So, just go down the line and say if you are single or not"
"I'm single" Liam started. No pang in my heart.
"I'm dating. My girlfriend is Eleanor" Louis said, with a sad look on hsi face. I bet he was remembering that El was going back to London soon.
"My girlfriend is Perrie" Zyan said with a wink.
"I'm obviously dating Emily" Harry said with a cheeky grin.
"I'm single" Niall said. And for some reason, this made my heart ache. I liked Logan. However, knowing that some other girl could come and kiss Niall maybe even..... get farther. I shook this thought off. I had a date tomorrow. I was supposed to be excited.
A/N:
SEE No cliffhanger again. A lot of people complained about that, so I decided not to for a few chapters. Anyways, I GOT A CHAPTER UP!!! I feel like i'm on such a role lately with my updates! I am definitely going to be updating tomorrow, so that is another chapter to look forward to! Anyways, thank for reading the chapter!
