"Don't be ashamed to weep;
'tis right to grieve. Tears
are only water, and flowers,
trees, and fruit cannot grow
without water. But there
must be sunlight also. A wounded
heart will heal in time, and when it
does, the memory and love of our lost
ones is sealed inside to comfort us."

EVERETT P.O.V

"Guys its late and she is not back yet, please let us go and check" January said.

"You know where she'll go, it's not possible...." Ben said and shut his mouth quickly when everyone from her pack gave him a piercing look.

"Where will she go?" I asked him but there was no reply.

"Where does she go?" I asked again in a scorching emphasis.

"Swimming" Keith said.

"Swimming? She will be swimming for ten hours?" I snapped at him.

"She loves swimming" he said shrugging.

I seriously didn't appreciate the way he took this matter so casually. He didn't seem the least bit worried.

"Templar cannot swim" Terence snapped.

"Yeah well, she learnt it" Ben said.

"Can someone explain what happened today?" Terence asked again.

"She killed a rogue and she lost control" Keith said again shrugging like it was a no big deal. I was pissed off at him and went to punch him. Terence understood what I was about to do so he held me back quickly.

"Bastard" I growled at him. "She is your Beta" I said and he chuckled finding it humorous.

"That is why I'm saying, she'll be back" he said smiling confidently. "Give her some time"

"Ten hours is more than enough" I yelled.

"Well, the last time she took eighteen" he said growling and I stopped fighting Terence, when his words started sinking into me.

"Last time?" I whispered. "She has lost control before?" he sighed and nodded.

"How does that happen?" I asked him.

"It's her wolf" Sveta spoke and I looked at her questioningly.

"Her wolf isn't like us" she said and I didn't miss the glare Keith gave Sveta.

"Because she shifted late than all of us?" Terence asked curiously.

"Maybe" Sveta shrugged.

"Why did she shift late?" I asked her.

"It is something that we cannot question" January said. "It's beyond our imagination" she said and looked away and I saw the light tears coming from the corner of her eyes. That showed the memory was painful for her.

"Since she shifted late her wolf was curbed inside her for two long years. And we all know how a caged animal reacts when it comes out all of a sudden. That is what happened in Templar's case." Sveta said.

"What happened when she shifted?" I asked Keith. "You were with her right?" I asked him.

"It's not my story to tell. If Templar wishes then she will tell you" Keith replied.

I was about to ask him more because clearly everyone are hiding something, but Sveta spoke again. "Even now she doesn't shift quite often and so, her wolf feels it is being suppressed. So the animal side found a way of its own, it started taking control over her when she is in her human form" she said.

"It means whatever happened then, wasn't her doing. Her wolf is quite feisty and I'm sure one of those mutts provoked her" January said.

"You said it has happened before?" Terence asked to no one in particular.

"Yeah. It has" Cam replied. "Last time it took around twenty five of us to hold and calm her down but today, thanks to you, she got back the control before she could destroy everything" He told me.

"I had taken her blood sample a few years ago and did some research about this however I ended up with nothing different. That is why I think Templar loses control only when it involves these rogues. Yesterday was the first time I saw her almost losing control" Sveta said referring to the incident with Teresa. "She was about to shift and it scared the hell out of me".

"What's wrong in her shifting?" I asked frowning. "And I know all of you are involved in this. Don't even think about lying because I had seen you all yesterday silently praying that she shouldn't shift" I yelled at them.

"Nothing's wrong, she doesn't like shifting... much" Cam said.

"Why?"

"It's her decision" Keith snapped at me and I growled at him.

"Not shifting?" Terence asked. "Why?"

Suddenly there was complete silence. No one answered for long minute.

"True, I've never seen her shift and I don't even know what color is her wolf" I said glaring at them.

"Black"

"Brown"

"Red"

These were the answers I got from Cam, Keith and Ben. I narrowed my eyes at them.

"You... you were asking about... uh... Templar's w-wolf?" Sveta asked me nervously.

"It's a light color" January said quickly.

"Yeah.... Uh- very, very light color" she said and gulped.

"That's right, light color" Ben said.

"Yep... light color" Keith said everyone in their pack was nodding continuously while I frowned at them. Fuck, light color.

"What about these rogues?" I asked them. "Are these the ones your pack is after?"

"Yes" Cam said.

"Not all though, only two. Rest I think were hired to do the work" Keith said.

"Who two?"

"Barry and Greg"

"How does Templar know them?" I asked frowning, I didn't like her involving in murders of rogues and it bothered me a lot seeing her today.

"Look, can you ask these questions later, we need to find Templar" Keith said quickly changing the topic.

"Funny... you weren't bothered about finding her earlier" I snapped.

"I ob.... respect her wishes and so I told you not to" he replied through his teeth.

"Her wish?" Terence asked.

"I respect all her... decision. Why do you think I didn't kill you both?" Keith asked Terence and me to which we both growled loudly. "It's because my..... Beta.... asked me not to" he told and I growled.

"She won't be your Beta for long" I told him to which there was growls from everyone in their pack. "She is my mate, she will stay with me" I snapped.

"Why don't you post in the dailies that she is your mate?" Keith asked sarcastically and I glared at him.

"Seriously don't know how someone as good as Templar got you" he muttered scowling at me and walked out of the pack house.

I was pacing back and forth in the living room of the pack house when I heard a howl coming from the woods that made my wolf perky.

He knew it was my mate and I bolted out of the room quickly.

January too got up but someone held her arms and stopped her.

I caught her scent in the middle of the woods. She must have sensed me because I heard sounds of leaves shuffling behind a tree.

"Templar?" I called her.

"Don't come close... I am not wearing anything" she whispered still hiding behind a tree.

Immediately I removed my shirt and handed it to her.

"Take it" I told her and She took it. I waited while she was putting on my shirt.

It was tempting for me and my wolf to look at her but I knew now was not the right time.

She was still not coming out of her hiding so I decided to check on her. I felt like someone stabbed my chest when I saw her leaning against the tree trunk, hands behind her back and crying with her head bent down.

Immediately I pulled her and hugged her tightly. She started sobbing in my chest loudly.

"I'm sorry; I'm so sorry..." she kept on saying continuously in a muffled tone.

"Hush... It's okay" I soothed her rubbing her back. Her hair was damp implying she was in the water before she came here.

"I didn't mean to... I don't want to hurt you" she told me crying and I couldn't help but chuckle, this girl whom I've hurt a lot in the past didn't want to hurt me.

It only made me feel a lot guiltier for what I've done in my past.

I kissed the top of her head and pulled away to notice how dull and pale her skin was and how shadowed her eyes were from all the crying. She was drained and looked ready to sleep.

"You are exhausted" I said and bent down to lift her up in my arms and carry her to my home.

By the time I kicked open the door to my room she was already asleep.

I gently laid her down on the bed and got into it. I threw my arm around her slender waist and hauled her up against me. Her face was buried on my chest while my chin rested on the top of her head.

"Goodnight" I whispered after kissing the top of her head and let myself drift to the most peaceful sleep of my life.

TEMPLAR P.O.V

I nuzzled myself closer against the wonderful scent that was hitting my nose.

"Hmmm...." I mumbled thinking about Everett whose scent is similar to this.

Smells like Everett?

I opened my eye screaming loudly and went rolling on the bed. I was about to fall on the ground but was stopped when two strong hands held my arms and pulled me back to the bed.

Sighing, i looked at Everett who released his hold on me after placing me back on the bed. A very shirtless Everett.

I sat up straight staring at his half naked body.

His powerful chest, his perfect abs, toned muscles, tanned skin. Damn him for looking so hot!

My heart was banging inside my chest as if I was running a marathon race.

"Like it?" I heard him asking and I unconsciously nodded my head.

His chuckle snapped me out of my view and I glared at him. "Where's your shirt?" I asked rudely.

"You are wearing it", he said and I looked down and realized I was wearing his black shirt.

"Oh" I said and saw him smirking. "I'll go get changed" I said and was about to get off the bed when he caught my wrists and pulled me towards him wrapping his other hand around my waist.

He laid me on the bed with him above me and started kissing me hungrily to which i responded. I pulled away to catch some air but he continued kissing my cheeks. He trailed hot kisses on my neck and I immediately pushed him away before he could reach the spot where he would mark me.

I tried to sit up but he didn't let me because he roughly caught my waist and placed me below him.

"Are you trying to refuse the bond?" he asked me looking dead in the eye.

"No" I said and shook my head to prove my point.

Why would he ask that? He is my mate. I knew and started respecting it after recovering from the original shock.

He got up and went to sit on the corner of the bed facing opposite side.

"Rett" I called adjusting his shirt that I was wearing but he didn't reply. So I went and sat next to him.

He wasn't looking at me, so I slightly bumped my shoulders against his muscular arms.

"Why do you keep running away?" he asked me, his voice hurt.

"If I don't you'll mark me and I told you I don't want you to mark me, yet." I replied honestly

"Why, Because of yesterday?" he asked me and I flinched.

I don't remember anything what happened yesterday.

Nothing.

It was like I wasn't even there.

I remember growling at Barry and then I can't recall what happened. The next memory I have was looking at the dead bodies and Everett whose eyes were complete dark.

I must have hurt him but there were no marks on his body now unlike Jan and Cam.

I remember looking at Jan and saw all the wounds I had caused in her body. I had hurt my own friends, my own pack.

What a bad Alpha I am?

My hands were filled with blood and I recall washing it again and again in the ocean to clean everything off me.

I was inside the water, sobbing. I didn't want to go to the pack house; I was scared to see the hurt look in their faces, especially Jan.

I didn't even want to be with Rett because I had hurt him too but my wolf was craving for him and it was impossible to calm her anxiety. So, I had shifted and howled, calling for Rett.

I had also decided I wouldn't tell him about being a white wolf. I am scared for him, though he could take on those rogues I didn't want him being involved with Glen.

So I had left it on the moon goddess to decide the right time for it which I hope will be only after I kill Glen.

So, I will tell the truth to Rett only after Glen's chapter is completed.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when Rett grabbed my waist and helped me sit on his lap. He was kissing my tears.

"It's okay.... No one is mad" he told me soothingly and kissed my brows. "Sveta told me" he said and I stared at him.

"What did she tell?" I asked wondering whether he knows I am a white wolf.

"About your wolf" he said and I gulped. "How you don't shift often" after he said the last part I sighed. It was true why I lose control like that, but the worst part I don't remember anything.

"Oh?" I said. It was also true I don't shift often.

Since I hide the truth of being a white wolf I rarely shift. I shift only when I am in our pack. This was the first time I shifted while in other pack.

"You didn't hurt anyone... you killed a bloody rogue and I must admit I don't like watching you kill anyone" he said and I chuckled grimly.

"I have killed wolves before" I said and he stared at me. "All bad rogues" I told him to assure that I didn't kill any pack wolves. Igor doesn't count to me as a pack wolf.

"You have been trained to kill them?"

"No. I decided to train myself to fight and be defensive" I told him smiling.

"Who trained you?"

"Myron did the most of it however Mike and Cam also helped"

"Myron?"

"Oh! He is the Alpha of the Firelight pack and a good friend too" I told him smiling.

"I know who he is" he said growling. "When did he train you?"

"Few weeks after I shifted. Why?"

"He doesn't have a mate" Rett told me frowning and I narrowed my eyes at him because I knew where he was getting with this.

"I told you he is my friend" I said growling.

"I know how rough the training will be" he snapped at me and muttered something about killing Myron.

"Don't worry about that Myron was not that rough, he would-"

"Oh! I bet he would have gone all easy on you" he told me growling and I growled back at him. That was a lie, Myron wasn't soft with me. His training was harsh but totally worth.

"How dare you? He is my friend" I said and tried getting off his lap but he didn't let me. "Let me go" I yelled at him.

"Don't" he said and nuzzled his nose on my neck and I calmed myself by closing my eyes.

Few minutes later he pulled back and chuckled when he saw me frowning at him.

"You are cute" he said and kissed the tip of my nose. He was still shirtless and I was tempted so I leaned forward to kiss him but stopped when the door to the room was pushed open.

I felt Everett's chest vibrating because of the growl that was caused my Jan's interruption. I got up from his lap and looked at her.

"I am telling you, you didn't hurt me at all. I will even raise my top and show you the proof but only after he is gone" she told me pointing at Rett who was glaring at her.

"And why are you glaring at me?" she snapped at Rett to which he growled again.

That was when a look of realization crossed her face. "Oh! Did I disturb something?" she asked me smiling and I blushed.

"If so, I am not sorry" she said smirking at Rett and I couldn't help but chuckle while he continued to growl and scowl at her.

She took hold of my hand and dragged me towards another room and I shook my head at Rett indicating not to stop us.

"Are you okay?" she asked me when we were sitting on the other room bed.

"Shouldn't I be the one asking that?" I told her grimly. "I am really sorry, I couldn't-" I started sobbing.

"It's Okay. No one was injured badly. Barry, Greg and their team of mutts are dead. Case closed."

"Greg?" I asked her confusedly.

"When Keith inspected the bodies he found Greg" she told me.

"Two more to go" she told me beaming.

"They are the worst" I said disdainfully.

Felix and Glen are the lead among those rogues.

"Chill, we will kick their asses" She said getting up and started making her way towards the balcony.

"It's been long time since we had gone hunting isn't it?" she asked smirking and I smiled at her. We would always do this back in the pack house.

I went to the balcony with her and looked down. The distance was not as much compared to the seven floor house in the house but it will still be fun.

"Ready?" Jan asked me and I nodded at her.

She jumped off the balcony shifting into her black wolf in the process before landing on the ground. I jumped right after and sat on her back.

'Ride along bestie' I said to her but she howled loudly at the sky and started running towards the woods. I saw Rett and Terence standing near the doorway and I waved at them.

Immediately everyone from my pack in their wolf form was behind us.

I looked at them guiltily but none of them seemed to remember what happened yesterday. They were all focused on hunting and so we all went to hunt... nothing actually because every animal was an extinct species for Sveta.

However, I had fun chasing wild animals with my pack.

I knew Jan did this to distract me from yesterday's events and I was happy for that.

I also knew everyone in the pack were pretending like nothing happened yesterday for me and I love them for that.

I love my pack, my family.
