Sorry for taking so long! (A freaking month!) Anyway, this one took a little while to write since I wanted to make it longer than the others since is the second-to-last chapter! Yes! The next chapter is the last one! Anyway, hope you enjoy it!

*

The grin couldn't be wiped put of my face. It has been there for the whole 2 weeks. Nothing, nothing could anger, annoy, or make me sad. I was so happy.

Jake started thinking it was becoming creepy.

But, you can't blame me! She loves me! She loves me! The best part is that she said it first. I have been waiting for those words to come out of her mouth for long. I'm just not happy about the way - or place, situation - that it happened it. But, nonetheless, it still has the same meaning to me.

But, not everything is ok.

"Are you sure about this?" I ask her as she climbs on my car. She looks at me with a forced smile on her face. She slowly nods before slamming the car door close. I sigh, there's no way to convince her of staying anyway; she already made up her mind.

"Don't worry, I'm ok. We're ok. Just . . . " She says, trailing off. "I can't live with my father, not now. I need . . . I need to settle with my sister and find the time and energy to understand his new relationship." She explains as I start the car. I feel a pang on my heart at hearing her voice; it sounded so broken. I want to help her, to make her happy as I am. And apparently, living with me and my mom is what she wants. To get away from her father.

And I respect her decision on doing this.

Even though it makes things harder for me. I mean, having her the whole day at my house, probably alone because my mom is always out; that requires a lot of self-control, something I seem to lack when Ace is near me.

"I love you." I blurt out randomly, tasting the word and letting them roll out of my mouth. It sounds so good to say it. I look at her from the corner of my eyes and see a smile dancing on her lips.

"I love you, too." She says, slightly laughing at the randomness of my words. But really, she should expect it. Now that I know how she feels, I am saying it everyday, reminding her how much I love her. Besides, it feels good to hear her say it back. "Drake?" She says after a few minutes of silence in the car.

I nod my head, signaling I'm listening and make a 'humph' sound.

"Have you . . . Have you talked to Liam?" She asks in a quiet voice. I frown, I mean, Liam is her friend; isn't she suppose to know where he is or talk to him? At least almost 2 weeks have passed since the hospital thing, I thought they would have talked by now, although I don't even know why they are not talking to each other. She just told me something happened and she couldn't face him yet, but she wouldn't tell me what and would grimace every time I asked her about it.

"No, I haven't. Shouldn't you talk to him?" I ask her, restraining myself from looking at her and taking my eyes off the road.

"You wouldn't understand, I can't talk to him."

Once again, I frown. She's probably right, I would probably not understand their argument, but as much as I don't like Liam, he was the reason I was with Ace. He kind of kept me going when I gave up and took care of her when I broke her heart. He was important to her, and whatever is that they were fighting about, it was probably hurting both of them. And I didn't like when Ace was hurting, but she wouldn't let me do anything, and I don't even know where Liam lives to go and talk to him to solve this.

I don't say anything, now wanting to pressure Ace into telling me; she should trust me to tell me later. The ride was silent from then on, but I didn't mind. I was happy with my thought, although the majority of them involved Ace.

"We're here." I announced after a few minutes more had passed. I turned to look at Ace and saw she was falling asleep leaning on the car window of her side. I smile, it was such a long time since that I had woken up to her sleepy face and I missed it. I can't wake her up.

I made my way to her side and opened the door slowly so it wouldn't startled her. I catch her before she fell. I take her into to my arms bridal-style and she puts her face on my chest, nestling farther more. I'll come back later for her stuff. I started to talk to the front door of my house. I bit my lip as I tried opening the door without dropping Ace. I sighed in relief as I successfully opened it and closed it behind me without dropping her or waking her up.

As I quietly started walking up the stairs, my mom appeared from the kitchen. "Hey, what's that in - oh, it's her. Ok, I'll be quiet. Bye! Oh, wait! There's dinner on the fridge. I'll be going out tonight with some friends. I trust you two to not do anything in appropriate ok? At least be safe, ok?" She babbled on. I almost dropped Ace as my mom told to be safe. Seriously, are we really going to have this conversation now?

"Mom!" I whispered-yelled at her, turning red from embarrassment. I felt Ace stir on my arms, wrapping her own arms around my neck.

"Ok, ok! Have a good night!" She said as she laughed to herself, walking back to the kitchen. My mom, I swear, I thought as I shook my head. She - I - just . . . Ugh, she was so . . . So weird sometimes. I cleared those thoughts as I gently put Ace on my bed, dropping a warm blanket over her body.

Before I left the room, I looked at her face. Her eyebrows were furrowed together, like she didn't like whatever she was dreaming about. She curled up in a fetal position, maybe due to the coldness. I swallowed hard, she got me hard. She's my everything, and if anything happened to her - and god forbid - I hurt her, I would die. No, I would first feel pain and then die. I sighed loudly, deciding between laying next to her or just going downstairs until she woke up.

I stayed with her. I couldn't help but to smile as she shifted her body to fit in mine in the middle of her sleep.

She fit perfectly against me.

I woke up something tickling my face. I scrunched up my nose, wanting that to go away. I brought my hands to my face to be greeted by hair. I opened my eyes in confusion. I smiled as I saw Ace against

my chest, her hair sprawled on me.

I lay back down, putting my arms around her body to bring her closer to me. After a few minutes, I got up slowly, trying to not wake her up. I walked to the nightstand and checked my phone; 7:51 pm.

I looked at Ace one more time after writing a note saying I had gone out and was coming later then slide out the door of my room, closing it behind me.

I dialed Jake's phone number an pressed it to my ear.

"Hello?" He greeted with a groggy voice, he must have just woken up.

"Hey Jake, I need your help for something." I said, walking down the stairs.

"With what?" He asked more awake this time.

"I need Liam's home address."

I parked my car in front of the house Jake told me. I didn't exactly know what I was going to say, but I had help Liam and Ace's relationship, as much I would hate another guy being with her, I know he is someone important to her. And it's hurting her the distance they have now.

I walked to the door, knocking once and then twice until Liam's face appear in front of me. His face was full of surprise as he frown.

"Hey, Drake." He said slowly. "What are you doing here?" He asked, opening his house door, giving me space to go in.

"It's about Avery." I notice his face changed completely, his eyes wide.

"What? Something happen to her?" He asked urgently.

"No . . . It's about what happened between you two that made you stop talking to each other."

"I don't think you want to know, Drake."

"I'm sure I do." I said sternly. He had to tell me, if I could help her, I would. And he was the only thing hurting her right now.

He was hesitant at first, but after a few minutes of silence, he finally spoke. "I love her. . . And I want to move on, she's with you and she loves you. I can't be with her when I now she's with you, it hurts me too much. She knows I love her, and I don't think she took it very well." He grimace at his last sentence.

His words were new to me, I had never actually thought he loved her, maybe liked, but not love. "Oh," was all I could say at that moment. I felt bad, I mean, if I his situation, it would destroy me to see Ace with another guy. It would hurt me a lot. "I'm sorry," I finally said, not meeting his eyes.

"It's ok," He smiled weakly. "Just . . . Take care of her, ok? Just tell her that she will always be a great friend to me."

I nodded, not being able to say anything else. I turned around but was stopped by Liam's voice. "And Drake?" I turned around again, facing him. "Thanks." He said.

I nodded again and turned to the exit.

"Ace? I need your help with something!" I yelled as I tried to cook the dinner, but failed miserably. I can't do this!

"With what?" She yelled back, poking her head on the kitchen. She chuckled as she saw me with a frustrated face and all the utensils sprawled on the counter and the dinner practically made ash. "Here," She said, moving me out of the way. "I'll do it, go . . . Go, do something else."

I frown, "I could help you know." I said, facing her. She smiled.

"I love you, Drake," She said, making my heart skip a beat. "But you can't cook to save your life." She finished.

"Fine," I huffed indignantly, I sucked, but not that much. "Do it yourself."

I walked back to the living room, picking up my phone. There was a new message, from Jake.

Dude, we need to have a guy's night out. We haven't have one of those in a long time.

I smiled as I replied with a sure as Avery appeared next to me.

"What?" I asked, raising my eyebrows in questioning.

"I'm done with the spaghetti." She answered brightly, her eyes twinkling excitement.

I chuckled, she was so happy she could cook and I couldn't. Please, that means she can cook more for me, it's a win situation for me, I don't know for her. "Ok." I answered.

We walked to the kitchen and I sat down on the dinner table as Ace went back to bring the food. When she put the plate in front of me. My eyes got wide as I saw it, damn it smelled good.

She smiled proudly at me as I swallowed the first bite. I rolled my eyes but kept eating, nether less.

"I love you," I said after a while of silence. I saw her smile softly, her eyes shining.

She leaned forward, and I couldn't help but to put my hands on her cheek and softly caresses them. "I love you, too." She replied.

I finally connected my lips to her, enjoying that I finally had the girl I had always wanted; Avery Jones was mine.

And I was hers.
