(A/N: So, before I start our beloved chapter, has anyone ever watched Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet? It's only thirteen episodes and has no manga yet (kinda like Psycho-Pass but, I love it none the less) but, I loved the main character and the ship- *fangirls* It's too cute! Otherwise, I also finished Kill la Kill and I was listening to Ambiguous the entire writing of this chapter... GAH! I WANT NEXT WEEK'S EPISODE TO COME OUT!!! GRAY VS SILVER, LIKE FUCKING NOW! Anyway, instead of listening to my ranting, please enjoy the chapter and don't forget to ask questions in the stuff bout me book and requesting in the one-shots book!)
July 16th
~Lucy~
"We got all ten of them back but, these two..." Gray trails off when we reach the last two orbs.
"One of these belongs to Aries." Loke said.
"Unlike the souls, these are objects. We can't break them here. Just grab them and let's get out of here." Gray grabbed both the orbs and stuffed them inside his bag.
"Hai." Loke grabbed Mavis.
"Rosy. Let's go." Erza grabs Rosemary's hand and we quickly try to find an exit.
"And where do you think you bastards are going?" Sara laughs, blocking our exit.
"Move! Aisu Meiku: Sunō Doragon!" Lyon summoned a huge ice dragon to attack Sara, creating a diversion for us to move.
"You little bitch!" Sara touched the wall and it began to explode.
"Now, now! Did you really think you could win?" Alyn appeared and summoned tornadoes.
"Hyōma no Gekikō!" Gray froze the spell and we continued to run.
"Don't run from me, Titania!" Neo Minerva snatched up Rosy and a little girl appeared.
"Now, all of you will die all over again!" the little girl began to glow blue.
This is it. We have to stop them.
But... How?
A clap.
It echoed in the halls.
"Good job, everyone for cornering these fools."
That voice.
"Goodbye, Lucy."
N-No... It can't-
"Master! You've awaken!" a girl with green hair appeared and bowed.
"Chinori, reincarnation of Kyoka. It's nice to see that you're just as useless as before." his voice erupted, cold.
"Master, forgive me for what I've done. I shouldn't have abandoned my post and led those humans here." the girl begged.
"You're right." he suddenly grabbed her face and smiled.
"You shouldn't have."
And the girl's body burst into flames.
~Wendy~
Chinori's screams were horrible to hear. His hand crushed her as the flames continued to turn her to ash.
This person...
He can't be...
~Gajeel~
This can't possibly be him.
~Gray~
He is not my brother.
~Erza~
He would never do something like this.
~Lucy~
Her screams stopped and he dropped her burnt body.
"Lucy... Why do you look so frightened? After all, I'm not going to do that to you. It would kill his spirit too quickly." he smirked.
"Don't speak using his voice!" I shouted.
"E.N.D.!"
His smirk grew wider.
"Dearest Lucy remembers my name! I'm glad! Now, Natsu doesn't have to worry as much about your short-term memory loss!" E.N.D. laughed.
I don't understand. The spell wasn't completed. We released the souls.
WHY IS HE HERE?!
"What have you done to Natsu?!" Loke shouts.
"Simple. He's weak and I'm stronger. Also-" he snaps his fingers and Minerva drops Rosy.
Erza catches her quickly and we hear those ear-pitching screams again.
Minvera was burnt into ashes.
"So, you flies though that by saving your friends, you could win?" he laughed.
He suddenly vanished and appeared behind Loke.
"I'll take that." he kicks Loke into the wall and grabs Mavis.
"Loke!" I go to help him and he grabs Mavis by the neck.
"Let go of her!" Gray goes to attack him but, he's blasted away by the sheer pressure of his magic.
"Finally, I can end you, bitch." he smiles, his other hand igniting.
"STOP IT!!!" I screamed.
"Shi no Hoshoku."
"NANI?!" he shouted as a light blinded the room.
Another explosion blasted him across the room and Mavis flying into the arm, into her savior's arms. She began to slightly regain consciousness and tears formed in her eyes.
"I made it, Mavis." he smiled and Mavis clutched onto his coat.
"Zeref!"
Natsu's dark-haired brother smiled at Mavis's tearful smile and kissed her forehead.
"Zeref-sama!" the little black-haired girl bowed at his presence and he put Mavis down.
"Give me a damage report, Kyoko." his smile became serious.
"Most of the headquarters had been destroyed and the ceremony would not be able to be executed since E.N.D.-sama came out on his own." Kyoko stood and Zeref stared darkly.
"Have all the restraints been released?" he asked.
"No. Most of his power is still locked away but, if he uses his host body any longer, it will become his and will therefore summon the rest of his power." she looked down in shame.
"That's all I need." Zeref looked over to see him laughing.
"So! Big brother wanted to save his little wife? Wow. And I thought you were the most evil wizard in all of Fiore. Why don't we finish what we started in the other dimension?!" his body was covered in flames, his eyes glowing red.
"You will release my son. I don't care if you're my brother or not. I will defeat anyone who thinks they can take my flesh and blood from me!" Zeref's eyes glowed the same red.
"Zeref..." Mavis dried her tears and tried to stand.
"Don't, Mavis. Destroying the seal that kept the book in you took most of your energy. You have to go. All of you, take Mavis and go! I can handle him myself!" Zeref shouted at us.
"What?! I ain't running from Salamander yet! I gotta kick his ass for-" Gajeel stopped shouting when Erza gave him a stare.
"Do as he says! We have no other choice at the moment." Erza gave her orders and we began to run off.
"LIKE HELL!" Gray shouts and he stays in place.
"Gray, this is no time to act like an idiot!" Lyon grabs his shoulder but, Gray shrugs his hand off.
"I'm not going to let my darkness get the better of me anymore. I can only overcome it... BY DEFEATING THE GHOST POSSESSING MY BROTHER!" Gray engaged him.
"Foolish human." he smirked as he avoided Gray's punches.
"Scarlet! Take Mavis and go." Zeref's sight was fixated on the fight.
"But, Zeref-" Mavis was cut off by his lips.
Mavis flushed pink and he smiled.
"I'll be back home for dinner." he says and Mavis tears up, nodding.
Erza grabs Mavis and they began to try to find another way around.
"Lucy! Let's go!" I hear Gajeel yell.
I can't go. I...
I HAVE TO BE THE ONE TO SAVE NATSU!
"Go on without me! I'm going to do what I couldn't do in the past!" I yell.
"What do you mean?!" Gajeel shouts.
"I'm going to save the person I love!" And go to help them in the fight against E.N.D.
~3rd Person~
"Where's Lucy?" Loke asks, looking for the blonde girl.
"Gajeel said that she's staying behind." Erza answers, keeping Mavis on her back as the group ran.
"Is she nuts?!" Sting shouts as an explosion knocks them off their feet.
"Did you think I was done with you?!" Sara shouts, laughing manically.
"It seems that we finally agree on something, bitch." Haru giggles.
"Oh ho ho ho! It'll be a perfect time to make them part of my bloody victims!" Trix smiles, showing her shark-like teeth.
"This is boring. Can we get this over with?" Aki looks bored and Fuyu agrees.
"Yeah cause, I have some business with a certain ice wizard." Alyn cracks his knuckles.
"So, if we win, I can make the girls all my pretty dolls?" Louis drinks his tea and Sara begins to charge at Erza.
"I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ANYMORE! KILL THEM!" She laughs as she takes Erza into the wall, dropping Mavis.
"Mama!" Rosy shouts as Gajeel grabs her and Mavis and place them behind large pieces of rubble.
"So, you're the one that took Aries's blood?" Loke asks the smiling shark.
"Oh ho ho ho! You mean the ram? Her blood was beautiful to paint on the walls! How could I forget?" Trix laughs and Loke takes off his sunglasses.
"Well then... I DON'T HAVE TO HOLD BACK!" A bright glow surrounds his being as he and Trix begin to fight.
"What a boring opponent." Aki yawns as Gajeel strikes at him.
"Boring, you say? Well, I guess I'll have to make this interesting if I want to tell the shrimp later!" Gajeel smirks.
"So, ready to die?" Alyn asks and Lyon scoffs.
"You're messing with the former ace of Lamia Scale!" Lyon and Alyn go head to head and Louis jumps in.
"Well, now you're facing the Terror Twins of Tartaros!" Louis smiles menacingly and Lyon cringes.
"So, Yukino... Was attacked by you, right?" Sting asks the pink-covered girl.
"Well, she wasn't very strong so, it was kinda easy.." Haru giggles and Sting loses it.
"I'll wipe that smile, no... I'LL RIP THAT SMILE OFF YOUR FACE!" He shouts, his skin now covered with white marks.
"To think, I have him as an opponent." Fuyu adjusts his earphones.
Laxus tries to hit him but, he blocked by a second.
"Hold still! I have to be home for dinner! Mira's cooking and if I miss her food, I'm gonna kick your ass to the moon!" Laxus shot lighting as Fuyu continued to dodge.
"You and your bitchy family are going to die whether you like it or not!" Sara caused another explosion and Erza re-equiped.
"Tenrin no Yoroi!" she re-equiped into Heaven's wheel and her swords striked.
"Mavis lady... I'm scared." Rosy was crying, holding her hands over her ears to block out the sounds of explosions.
How? How can we stop them? Mavis had to think as the little girl clutched onto her dress. Wait! There's still a way! But... she needs someone that hasn't passed the previous world just yet...
That's it!
"Rosy. I need to do a big favor for me." Mavis told the tearful girl.
The little girl looked up and Mavis placed her hands on the sides of her face.
"You have to trust me, okay?" Mavis smiled and Rosy nodded.
"Okay."
Mavis activated the spell and Rosy began to glow.
"Now, open to the first dimension: Earthland!"
~Lucy~
"Aisu Meiku: Shirubā!" Gray froze the area in front of him but, he jumped out of the way.
Zeref and he began to fight and I tried to help by using some rope I found for a whip.
"You three are boring me. Kuro kasai, shōka!" a ball out of black flames shot at the three of us, blinding us and knocking us into the rubble.
He walked over to us, laughing.
"I expected this weakness from the ice wizard and the blonde but, you too, Nii-san?" he grabbed my hair, causing me to scream in pain.
"Lucy!" Gray shouted.
"He's screaming for me to stop but, you're mine now, princess. Say bye-bye to your precious blonde, Natsu!"
"NATSU!"
"Tentai Karyū no Hōkō!"
A golden flame shot him across the room, crashing into the wall.
"That magic..." he wiped some blood off his chin as another shouted.
"Kasai no Gekikō!" another blast of fire knocked him down.
"Hyōma no Gekikō!" and yet another attack hit him dead on.
"Mōningusutāburasuto!" several other explosions went off.
The three of us were astonished on how easily he was attacked.
"Okaa-san..."
"Mama."
I recognize those voices.
I turned around as the dust began to settle.
And I saw Natsu's smile.
"Hi, Mama! It's been awhile!" the pink-haired girl smiled brightly, standing amongst a few of her nakama.
Nashi... My daughter.
(A/N: OMG! Nashi and some of the next gen kids have appeared but, do they have the ability to stop E.N.D. and free Natsu? Find out in the next chapter of Mended!)
