(Y/n) then flung herself in between the man's gun and Zero, as she realizes this man was Zero's sensei.
"You will not hurt Zero! I won't let you be near him!" (Y/n) huffed.
The man grunted, "Huh? Gal, why do you defend a vampire who has the potential to suck the living force out of you?"
(Y/n) replied in a defiant voice, "Because I care about him,"
Zero's sensei snorted, "Get out of the way, you are just making things harder between us,"
At that moment, Headmaster Cross intervened, "Toga Yagari! Stop!" The Headmaster hauled Zero out of the pool and placed his hand over Zero's head.
Zero's sensei, Toga, said in a gruff tone, "He is a Level E, for crying out loud Kaien,"
The Headmaster answered Toga in a serious threatening tone, "That does not mean for you to just cause trouble here in a peaceful territory between vampires and humans by harming a student,"
Toga just gave a troubled defeated sigh and bowed, "Apologies Kaien.... I shall go now...." With that he disappeared into the darkness of the night.
(Y/n) rushed over to Zero's side and whispered to the Headmaster, "Who is Mr. Yagari exactly?"
The Headmaster sighed, "Well, he is a man of dignity and duty. An elite vampire hunter if I do say so myself. He gets any job done. He is currently here at the academy as a teacher for the Night Class.."
(Y/n) then asked, "Oh, I was surprised that he was Zero's sensei... By the way, Zero won't be put into the Night Class, right?"
The Headmaster adjusts his glasses and frowned, "I have thought about it because of his 'transformation'. Although I have reached to a conclusion that the best thing to do is to let him stay in the Day Class, since he is still a part of the Disciplinary Committee.."
(Y/n) nodded slowly from what she has heard...
"Let's get Zero to the Infirmary as soon as possible," suggested (Y/n).
The Headmaster and (Y/n) carried Zero to the Infirmary.
Zero groggily groaned, "I'm fine..." as the Headmaster and (Y/n) brought him to the Infirmary to rest.
(Y/n) turned to the Headmaster and whispered, "Uh, the bracelet that you lended to Kaname to give to me. I still need a drop of Zero's blood to have it work..."
The Headmaster nodded, "Why of course. Zero? Would you mind having me take a small sample of your blood for (Y/n)?"
Zero muttered, "I guess,"
Headmaster Cross approached the laying silver haired vampire and pulled out a mini syringe from his coat. He carefully inserted the syringe into Zero's arm and withdrew some blood. Zero winced, but closed his eyes to rest.
The Headmaster then bandaged Zero up and inserted a drop of blood from the syringe to (Y/n)'s bracelet. The bracelet made a crackling sound and sparks flew out. (Y/n) gasped in surprise, "Oh my!" Now the bracelet can work on Zero.
"Leave me to rest," growled Zero as he shifted his body in bed. (Y/n) peeped, "Um, see you tomorrow then..." She left as soon as the Headmaster went to his office. (Y/n) walked to her dorm and prepared herself to sleep with a warm shower before brushing her teeth.

Next day, (Y/n) attended class to only find out Zero was not there.
"Where did that boy go?"
As (Y/n) exited her class that ended, she saw Mr. Yagari walking by in the hallways to the Night Class. (Y/n) called out, "Mr. Yagari! Wait!" Toga Yagari turned around and grumbled, "Oh it's you again... What do you want?"
(Y/n) answered with an adamant voice, "You know just what I will ask. Where is Zero?"
The vampire hunter snorted in an unamused way, "I figured you'd ask such a question. He is just being quarantined somewhere, so he will not attack anyone in the future. Now, go away. I got some vampires to teach," He left to the Night Class.
(Y/n) stood there mixed with anger and worry. She needed to find Zero and see if he was alright and safe.

Toga Yagari entered the Night Class classroom in a profound manner and all eyes of the vampire students were glued on their new teacher. Rima whispered in disbelief to herself, "That's... Toga Yagari.." Seiren avoided looking at Toga Yagari's sharp gaze. Kaname gave a cold glare at Mr. Yagari wondering why a vampire hunter has business here. Aido fidgeted in his seat and gulped quietly at the intense atmosphere of the classroom. "He's the current top vampire hunter..." murmured Shiki with a poker face. Takuma's usual smile faded at the sight of Toga Yagari at the door. In the midst of this, Akatsuki groaned softly, "Can't this day just get any better..."
Mr. Yagari yawned, "I'm your new teacher, Toga Yagari. Yes, I actually do have a qualified proper license to teach. Please, I did not come here to kill each one of you.. Even though I do not mind the thought of killing one of you if you all do not decide to listen to my lectures..."

(Y/n) decided to wait till the Night Class had their class over to question Mr. Yagari again of Zero's whereabouts. She waited for hours until Mr. Yagari appeared. The vampire hunter lit up a cigarette and puffed, "Still persistent to find out where Zero is?"
(Y/n) nodded, "Yes,"
Mr. Yagari sighs, "Hm, if you truly care about him that much... I guess I shall tell you where he is. He is being held inside the Headmaster's private guest room..."
(Y/n) bows, "Thank you, Mr. Yagari!" With that she ran off to find Zero..

She finally arrived to the Headmaster's private guest room seeing that the Headmaster had unlocked. Zero had closed the curtains making the room eerily dark and dreary... He was huddled up in the corner with his head down. His silvery bangs covered his lilac eyes as he said in a hoarse voice, "(Y/n)...?"
(Y/n) rushed over to Zero and cradled his head against her chest soothing, "It's alright, Zero.. Mr. Yagari won't harm you," She saw how weak Zero had become from the lack of blood and rejection of the blood tablets. He looked fragile, ready to break any moment. Zero muttered, "Why do you always come back to me when I push you away? I'm dangerous.... How can I make you to hate me?"
(Y/n) whispered, "It is impossible to hate you knowing how much you have gone through your life.. I want to help you,"
Zero coughed, "(Y/n)... I give up..."
(Y/n) caressed Zero's face gently and had tears brimming in her eyes as she spoke, "Oh Zero, be strong! Be strong for me... I don't want to lose you! I will lend my blood to you. You need to drink blood now,"
Zero growled, "No, not again.. I always have to depend on you. I hate myself for it."
(Y/n) revealed her shoulder and her neck to Zero pleading, "Drink. It's the only way to get better.. You won't hurt me I know,"
Zero's eyes stared at (Y/n)'s beautifully exposed skin of her neck. He bared his fangs slightly and suddenly grabbed (Y/n) in a possessive hug. He rested his head on the crook of (Y/n)'s neck and breathed, "I'm sorry (Y/n), again.." His tongue roughly traced the line of her collarbone then to her neck.
(Y/n) shivered as Zero's tongue searched the right spot to bite her. No sooner had Zero found the sweetspot and sank his fangs into her veins, craving the lustful taste of (Y/n)'s blood ever since the last time he bit her. (Y/n) held in her cries of pain, as Zero drank her up. After what felt like hours, Zero released (Y/n) and wiped her blood off his mouth with his hand, panting.
(Y/n) stumbled into his arms and they both fell to the floor.
"Klutz," smirked Zero as he stroked (Y/n)'s hair softly.
"S-Shut up.." pouted a tired (Y/n).
Zero carried (Y/n) and placed her onto the guest bed. (Y/n) lazily looked at Zero but felt an ache in her heart as she turned her gaze away at him.
"This feeling of wanting to protect Zero... I cannot get rid of."
Then, someone barged into the door warning, "Blood shall be shed today."
It was Toga Yagari.
He stood at the door with his gun loaded at Zero. (Y/n) shot up in the bed and was about to get off the bed to stop Mr. Yagari, but something inside Zero's mind snapped. Zero, in a flash, grabbed the gun away from Toga Yagari and hissed, "I intend to live and fight through my vampiric urges, Sensei. I can't just sit away in the dark when this is my fate. I will learn to survive this life somehow.." His lilac eyes burned with determination as he glared at the vampire hunter.
Toga Yagari raised his eyebrow and chuckled, "Well, well, well, my dear student... you finally got your fighting spirit back. This is my motive afterall. I did not intend to kill you. Enjoy life with its struggles, Zero.."
The vampire hunter left in a breeze just as he came...
Zero turned to (Y/n) and growled, "What are you gaping there for, (Y/n)? You're gonna get flies in there... I'll see you tomorrow at school."
He reached to the door and turned his head adding, "Oh, and when I was drinking your blood. I could see your memories of who else bit you besides me and your feelings. I'm sure you'd rather let those vampires suck you up besides me.."
(Y/n) blushed madly as he left.
(Y/n) couldn't believe what she just saw and decided to go tell the Headmaster what had happened. It seemed though the Headmaster already knew what happened since Toga Yagari already explained to him.
"Why do I always find myself in these situations..? Offering blood to vampires... It's unforgiving,"
