~Daryl's P.O.V~
My run was quick. Didn't find much but walkers, as usual. I drove back to the prison and they opened the gate for me. I parked the car and climbed out. I walked into the empty cell block. I felt a pair of footsteps behind mine and I stopped walking. I already knew who it was. I turned around and she stopped walking as well
"Can we talk?" She asked
I sighed gesturing for her to proceed
"Look Daryl I know your avoiding me but sometime your gonna have to talk to me. I don't know if you hate me or its the amnesia but I just need your help Daryl"
I just looked down then back at her
"Everyone's been trying to help me get my memory back and nothing seems to be working. I know we were a couple before this happened to me and I thought if you helped me try to remember I could get something back. Because it really sucks not remembering anything. So please Daryl just help me" She pleaded
I still didn't say anything
"Please Daryl just help me out here. Anything. Because we were together once before. And Carol told me that me and you were in love before this happened to me. And right after that you began to ignore the crap out of me. So what is this Daryl? Do you love me or hate me? Because I'm confused. I just want to remember so if there's anything you can do please just-"
I looked at her as she was talking and pleading. All I wanted to do was kiss her. Wait. What the hell was I waiting for? I took a couple steps foward. Enough of this. I cut her off by crashing my lips into hers.
~Haley's P.O.V~
When Daryl came back I followed him into the empty cell block. I began talking to him pleading for him to help me remember. To help me get my memory back. He simply would look down then back at me.
"I just want to remember so if there's anything you can do please just-"
He cut me off by crashing his lips into mine. I didn't pull away but only kiss back. Everything, everything suddenly came flashing back. All of my memories. How I first met him. How he saved my life. Our first kiss. The first time I went on a run with him and he saved my life. Everything just came back. Not only him but with the rest of the group.
We pulled away and I looked at him with a smiled formed across my face
"What?" He asked
I chuckled "It's back.. all of it"
"Your memories? They're back? But how?" He asked brushing his thumb across my cheek
"It's don't know I guess the kiss. It brought everything back"
He chuckled "Well it's about time"
I smiled "Thank you, for helping me"
"Anytime baby" He smiled back before kissing once again and pulling away
"Come on, let's go surprise everyone" I said before taking his hand and walking outside to find the rest of the group
We walked outside and found anyone from the group to tell them the news. Afterwards I found Tyler and ran over to him
"Tyler!"
I ran up to him holding Daryl's hand.
"Hey speedy what's up?" He asked
"I got it. I got my memory back" I said excitedly
"See sis I told you it's only a matter of time" He lightly punched my arm
"Hey Tyler!"
We heard a voice call from one of the bench tables
"Hey I gotta go, see you guys later" He said as he walked passed us and to the bench tables
I turned around and glanced at everyone. The now new residence from Woodbury. I placed my arms around Daryl's was it and he placed his arms around my neck
"So this is our new home huh"
He laid his chin on my head "Yup, this is it"
"Hey guys"
We turned to Rick as he approached us "We need to move anything that's gonna get wet with the rain. Looks like we got a storm headed our way"
I turned to the sky to see dark clouds in a good distance
We both nodded
"Alright thanks" He nodded before walking off
We separated as we began putting things inside that would get wet. The storm got closer and everyone began going inside. I was the last one outside, dark clouds were already surrounding as I looked at the fences. The walkers were lowly snarling and growling. I made my way inside and notices everyone was already in their cells. I walked towards Daryl's cell and stood at the doorway
"Came to say goodnight" I said crossing my arms as I leaned against the wall
He walked up to me "Well goodnight"
I pecked him on the lips before walking away. I felt a hand grabbed my hand as I turned around
"Where are you going?" He asked
"Back to my cell"
"Hell nah your staying with me"
I chuckled "Ok"
I walked into his cell as we stood by the bed. He pushed a piece of hair behind my ear and looked into my eyes. Our faces were so close to each other. I could feel his breath as he could feel mine. When our lips touched I could feel the electricity roaming around in our bodies. He grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him.
We never broke the kiss as I wrapped my arms around his neck. The kiss deepened when he sat on the bed with me on top of him. His hands made their way up my back and be took off my shirt slowly. We pulled away a little to breath, we had our foreheads touching each other as my hands made their way to the bottom of his shirt and I took it off.
His hands reached my butt as we continued to kiss intensely. This moment I didn't want to leave it. After everything that happened this moment meant the most. He laid down and I laid next to him.
He put his arm around me and I laid my head on his bare chest. Silence took over and all you could hear was the pattern of the rain hitting the building outside.
"Earlier before before you got your memory back you asked if I hate you or love you"
"Yea" I said looking at him
"I would never hate you. I was just upset because you didn't remember me. But I would never hate you Haley. I love you so much"
I smiled and kissed his cheek "I love you too Daryl"
He ran his finger over my gunshot wound on my stomach
"I don't think I could ever forget that day"
"What day?" I asked
"When I found you, I'm glad I did. You were dying"
"And I don't know how I could ever thank you enough"
"Oh I think we can find a way" He smirked then smiled
"Oh yea?"
"Yea" He chuckled then pecked my lips
"What did they do to you?" He asked
I took a deep breath and looked down
"You don't have to tell me" He said
I shook my head "They beat me. Kept me in some shed. Jack, he was like the leader. He thinks I killed his brother when we went on a run. It was just us two, I had no choice but to leave him"
"Baby I'm sorry, I wanted to search for you. But we had this problem with the governor that we had to take care of"
"It's ok" I said "It's ok"
"It's not ok"
I looked at him
"Haley while I was here doing nothing you were getting beaten"
I raised my right arm to discover a small hole with a bruise
"Not only beaten, but they injected me with some drug. That made me pass out"
He just stared at it
"Haley.."
"Daryl it's ok, I'm safe now"
He nodded as I laid my head in his chest, I could hear his heartbeat. He traced his finger on my hand
"Goodnight Daryl" I said closing my eyes
"Goodnight Hales" He said
I felt him kiss my forehead and it made me smile. I slowly drifted off and fell asleep so the sound of his heartbeat and the soft rain that made its pattern hitting the building outside.
