"I'm surprised at how good friends you are with Kiku, aru." China said to the girl. The girl laughed as they walked into Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with the other nation.

"It wasn't his fault at all. All three nations feel bad about what they had done, especially Germany." The girl commented with a bright smile. "He's a great trade partner anyways. Anyways, I heard new that brother-in-law was coming to the first Summit as a guest. Is it true, Yao?"

At this point, the two were on a first name basis with each other, as with most of the other East Asian nations, though some of them the girl hasn't even heard what their names were yet. China burned bright red. "I told you not to call Ivan that, aru! And yes, he's coming." The girl laughed.

"Well I wish you luck with the others." The girl said. "None of us are giving either of you any break with that. Just be glad the bosses are in a separate meeting room." The two entered the meeting place. "I wonder how this'll turn out. I mean, being the first ever Summit!"

"Don't fret, aru." China said with a smile as they opened the door to the room where they were holding the meeting. Malaysia, Japan, India, South Korea and Russia were already there. The girl noticed how it seemed every stayed a bit aways from Russia. She hadn't really gotten to know the nation personally but if he was a "friend" of China's then she wanted to be nice to him. Plus, she had met him a bit during WWII.

China smiled and went to sit by him, the girl following after. "Yao!" Russia cheered, then hugged China tight. China yelped and squirmed as the other nations both chuckled and shivered with fright. The girl raised her eyebrow in question, but laughed a bit.

"Let go, aru!" China yelled. Russia let go and the girl laughed more. The Northern nation brought his attention to the laughing girl who had the courage to sit close to him. Out of curiosity, he poked the girl's cheek, just to check she was real. China gave a deadpan look to him. "What are you doing, Ivan?" He asked.

"Nothing." Russia said, sitting straight up. He looked back to the girl. "You are Philippines, da?" Russia asked with a sweet smile. The girl returned it and nodded.

"In the flesh." She laughed. "I haven't seen you in a while. I'm not exactly surprised you don't remember me but ten again, I didn't talk to you all tat much. How have you been?" For the rest of the time before the meeting, the three former Allies talked of the dinner and China scolded him for not remember all that much of his friend.

The meeting on its own was boring though. Politics and trading and and things of the such. By the time it was over, pretty much everyone was ready to camp out in the hotel and then head home the next day. China, Russia and the girl walked to where they were staying, as all the countries tended to stay in the same hotel.

As it turns out, Russia didn't exactly use his room that night. The girl, Japan and South Korea camped out by China's door for a small bit to make sure, all three of them snickering and cracking jokes about "brother-in-law". They only left for their own rooms when China walked out of get something from the vending machine and spotted the three of them dashing around a corner.

Needless to say, he chased the three around until they locked themselves in their hotel rooms. After that, there was a Summit each year. The next one was in the girl's country but really the only interesting thing was how it had to rescheduled, causing them to have two meetings in one year. Fun things were far and few between until the fifth Summit.

"嘿! Jessette!" China's voice called. The girl was walking into this year's meeting place in Vietnam. The girl smiled and turned to see her friend running towards her.

"Yao! Paano ka?" The girl said as she opened the door for her friend to go first.

"Guess who's attending this Summit as a guest, aru?" China quizzed. The girl raised and eyebrow. They hadn't had a guest since the first summit. When the girl didn't answer China laughed a bit. "Oh come on, guess, aru!"

"Brother-in-law?" The girl asked with a smirk. "Tat would explain why you're so excited." China blushed a bit and avoided the girl's gaze, but then remember otherwise and smirked back.

"That's one of them. Guess who else." He said evilly. It actually took a bit for the girl not to laugh at the failing evil look her friend gave. Her cheeks puffed out slightly.

"How should I know? Come on, tell me Yao." The girl pestered as they started walking into the building the meeting room wasn't far now and either way the girl would find out soon enough.

"Nope. Let's go in, aru." China said, opening the meeting room door. The girl raised an eyebrow and walked in. As she did, a pair of arms wrapped around her, making it a bit hard to breath. She yelped in terror and elbowed the person in the face. The person fell on their back in pain. The girl blinked and saw the infamous blonde in a bomber jacket.

Her eyes lit up with excitement and mischief. "I tought you learned your lesson last time." She laughed, helping the American off the floor. He laughed and rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment.

"Well that was a while ago..." He said, making up an excuse. The girl laughed and walked past him, grabbing his hand as she went. She pulled him into a seat next to her, with a seat in between her and Russia, as she wanted to sit by China as well. The girl looked at the American.

"I haben't see you in so long!" She squealed. "Why haben't you contacted me?" The American was beet red. The girl wondered why until she saw that her hand was still holding his. She swiped her hand back and sat on it. She was also red. She heard South Korea chuckled and swore to herself that the nation would regret it later.

The meeting went by as planned. They talked of trade and such as per normal. When it ended, Russia left with China and the girl chuckled. America turned towards her. "What's so funny?" He asked, breaking the silence they had with each other. South Korea came up to the two of them.

"China and brother-in-law." He joked. The girl and America stood up and started walking to the hotel with him. "I promise you that Russia's room won't be of use tonight." America caught on and laughed.

"I wondered why Japan calls Russia 'brother-in-law'." He laughed. The girl hit his hand.

"So you'be been in contact with him and not me?" She scolded tightly. America grew red and shoved his hands in his pockets.

"Well, uh, I-" America stuttered, trying to form a sentence when South Korea butted in.

"So whose room are you two using tonight?" He joked. Both parties turned red. That was the Korean nation's signal to run, and he did, locking himself in his room as they had done at the first Summit. America and the girl banged on his door but to no avail. The girl slumped on the floor in annoyance.

"Tulala." She muttered, staring at the other side of the hallway. America joined her, sitting with his back against the wall. He put and arm over her shoulder, making her grow bright red and look down to her floral skirt that she often wore to Summits.

"So, how've you been?" America said, trying to make small talk with the girl. She looked up at him with a smile.

"Tama. You?" She answered brightly, her brown eyes shining.

"Same. What have you been up to?" He asked dully. The girl chuckled at him, gaining the American's attention. "What's so funny?" He asked, making the girl laugh even more.

"Oh, noting." She said in a sing-song voice. "I haben't been up to anyting interesting. How're the other, erm, G8 members?" She asked, inquiring about some of the old Allies along with Axis, though she knew how Japan and Russia were doing.

"Oh, they're fine. England calling me a twat, France being a flirt, Germany being a control freak and Italy being, well, Italy." He joked. The girl laughed more.

"You know, it's odd how dipperent Romano is prom his younger broter." She commented, staring up to the ceiling in remembrance.

"You've met Romano? When?" America asked.

"Are you tick? Spain is pretty much my older broter, remember?" The girl said, thinking he would at least remember the battle of Manila Bay.

"Oh, yeah, that." America said. "I try not to remember the past too much..." He trailed off. The girl knew he wasn't going to answer any questions about the past to her nor anyone else. In fact, she didn't exactly know much about his past, even after living with him for years.

"Oh. Mabuti, do you want to head over to my room? I have dried mangos." She offered. America smiled and nodded. The both of them got up and started walking down the hall towards the girl's room.

The girl unlocked her room and the both of them walked in. America immediately jump on the couch, earning another hit on the hand by the girl. "What have I told you about shoes, America?" She inquired. America sighed and slipped the shoes off his feet, placing them by the door. The girl smiled and got shrimp chips and dried mangos out her bag.

The girl made the choice to turn on a channel in her language, making it difficult for America to know what was going on but he didn't mind much. It was a soap opera of all things too. Eventually, the girl fell asleep on the couch, America following her short after.

Outside the door was another story. A certain male with very dark brown hair and two with black hair stood outside the door, waiting. "See, I told you." The brunette snickered. Japan was already thinking of how he could subtly tease his American friend while China was squealing quietly with delight.

"Aru's all grown up!" He squeaked. At the next Summit, both Russia and America joined the Summit as members. Rather odd if you ask me being that for one, Russia is only half Asia and America isn't even from the East.
