Tris' POV
We brush the gravel off us and walk to the gathering crowd. Uriah tells me the leader's name is Eric.
Eric shouts over the noise,"Welcome Initiates! This is the only way into Dauntless. If you can't jump, you aren't for Dauntless!"
He continues,"So, who will go first?"
I ask Uriah if we should.
In reply, he grabs my hand and we run over to the hole in the building and jump.
He screams as we land on a net. If we were higher up the impact would have pierced my skin.
We are greeted by a guy about 18. He pulls us off the net. He tells Uriah,"Uriah. You just jumped didn't you... You are lucky nobody was on the net," and Uriah just shrugs in return.
The guy, Four, ask me for my name. I tell him,"Tris," and I walk away over to Uriah talking to someone. Probably his brother, because he looks like an older Uriah.
I walk over and I hear Uriah scream something like pansycake... He then turns and walks back to me.
I ask him,"Who was that?"
"My older brother, Zeke."
"Oh."
"Yeah... So I was wondering-"
"No."
