Three days had slipped by in a blur of relentless searching, yet Mina's efforts had yielded no trace of Y/n.

Frustration gnawed at her insides, a restless energy simmering beneath the surface as she poured over countless documents and patient records, her laptop screen casting an eerie glow in the dimly lit room.

With each passing moment, Mina's agitation grew, her fingers flying across the keyboard in a frenzy of desperation.

But despite her tireless efforts, the answers remained elusive, slipping through her grasp like sand through clenched fists.

Suddenly, a surge of anger erupted within her, a primal scream tearing through the stifling silence of the room.

"Where are you, Y/n?" Mina's voice echoed off the walls, filled with equal parts anguish and rage. The weight of her emotions hung heavy in the air, suffocating her with its intensity.

In that moment of raw vulnerability, Mina found herself grappling with a torrent of conflicting emotions.

Fear, anger, and helplessness waged war within her, threatening to consume her from the inside out.

With a heavy sigh, Mina slumped back in her chair, her shoulders sagging under the weight of her burdens.

Mina's heart leaped at the sound of her phone ringing, hope igniting within her chest like a beacon in the darkness.

With trembling hands, she answered the call, her voice laced with anticipation. "Momo, did you find her?"

The excitement in Momo's voice was palpable as she exclaimed "Girl, I found her!"

A surge of relief flooded through Mina, her pulse quickening with renewed urgency.

"Really?! Let me see!" she exclaimed eagerly, her fingers hovering over the screen in anticipation.

But as the image appeared before her eyes, Mina's heart sank like a stone. It wasn't Y/n. It was just a stranger, a mere resemblance of the person she longed to find.

Disappointment washed over her in bitter waves, mingling with the frustration that had already taken root within her.

"That's not Y/n" Mina typed back, her words heavy with disappointment.

"That's more facially challenged!" The bitter irony of the situation was not lost on her, as she grappled with the cruel twist of fate that had once again dashed her hopes.

Momo burst into Mina's house with an air of urgency, only to be greeted by a sight that left her speechless.

There on the couch sat Mina, clad in nothing but lingerie, her laptop open before her.

Momo's eyes widened in disbelief as she took in the scene before her.

"How is that not Y/n?!" Momo exclaimed, her voice a mixture of shock and incredulity.

Mina's eyes widened in horror as she scrambled to cover herself with a nearby pillow, her cheeks flushing crimson.

"How dare you just barge in like this?!" she exclaimed, her voice laced with indignation.

Momo raised an eyebrow, unfazed by Mina's outburst.

"What the heck are you saying? I'm your best friend!" she retorted, crossing her arms over her chest.

"And why are you covering yourself?"

Mina stammered, her cheeks burning with embarrassment.

"Y-Y/n should be the only one who could see this!" she protested weakly, her words muffled by the pillow.

Momo rolled her eyes, a smirk playing at the corners of her lips.

"Oh, come on, Mitang. We've taken a bath together before!" she quipped, a mischievous twinkle in her eye.

"I even know that you have a mole on your—"

Before Momo could finish her sentence, Mina hurled a book in her direction, cutting her off mid-sentence.

The book collided with Momo's face with a resounding thud, leaving her momentarily stunned. Rubbing her forehead gingerly, Momo shot Mina a reproachful glare.

"Ow! What was that for?!" Momo exclaimed, rubbing the spot where the book had made contact.

Mina's cheeks were still flushed with embarrassment as she shifted uncomfortably on the couch, the pillow still clutched tightly to her chest.

"I-I'm sorry, Momo" she muttered, her voice barely audible. "I'm just... I don't know what to do. I can't find Y/n, and... and I'm scared."

Momo's expression softened as she took in Mina's distress. Setting the book aside, she moved to sit beside her friend on the couch, wrapping an arm around her shoulders comfortingly.

"Hey, it's okay" she said gently. "We'll find her, I promise."

Mina leaned into Momo's embrace, feeling a wave of relief wash over her at her friend's words. "But where could she be?" she wondered aloud, her voice tinged with worry.

Momo's brows furrowed in thought as she considered the question.

"Well, did you check all the places she might go?" she asked, her tone thoughtful.

"Her favorite cafes, parks, maybe even the rooftop garden at the hospital?"

Momo took a deep breath, trying to contain her frustration.

"I mean, how could you even know right? Since every time Y/n tried to connect or spend time with you, you brushed them off or seemed disinterested. They stopped asking because they felt like you didn't care" she explained, her tone firm yet empathetic.

Mina's brows furrowed as she processed Momo's words. "I didn't realize I was being that distant" she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

"You were" Momo affirmed, her tone softening slightly. "Y/n wanted to go on a date with you, but they felt like you weren't interested enough to even consider it."

Mina winced at the sharpness in Momo's tone, her own frustration mounting.

"I didn't know I was being that distant" she retorted, her voice tinged with defensiveness.

"Well, now you do" Momo shot back, her patience wearing thin. "Y/n tried reaching out to you countless times, but you were always too busy or too preoccupied to notice. They deserve better than that."

Mina's eyes flashed with a mix of guilt and irritation. "I never meant to ignore her" she protested, her voice wavering with frustration.

"Intentions don't change the impact of your actions" Momo countered, her frustration evident in her tone.

"That's why Y/n feels neglected and unimportant because of you."

Mina's shoulders slumped as the weight of Momo's words sank in. "I didn't realize things had gotten this bad" she admitted, her voice tinged with regret.

"Then it's time to start paying attention" Momo replied firmly, her frustration tempered by a hint of compassion.

"Y/n deserves to feel valued and appreciated, and it's up to you to make that happen."

With a heavy sigh, Mina nodded, her determination renewed.

Momo's frustration reached its peak, but in a sudden twist, she blurted out

"So, that wasn't really Y/n, was it?" Her eyes widened as she realized the absurdity of her question, hoping for some miraculous revelation.

Mina's eyebrows shot up in disbelief. "How many times do I have to tell you?" she exclaimed, exasperated. "Yes, it wasn't Y/n! How could you still doubt that?"

The absurdity of the situation hit them both, and what started as a serious conversation dissolved into a hilarious exchange of disbelief and exasperation.

Momo threw her hands up in the air dramatically.

"I mean, who even was that person then? I thought they were Y/n, but clearly, I've been mistaken all this time!" She couldn't help but let out a snort of laughter at the sheer ridiculousness of her own statement.

Mina rolled her eyes, trying to suppress a grin.

"Maybe if you paid more attention, you wouldn't be so confused all the time" she teased, unable to resist poking fun at Momo's expense.

Y/n's eyes fluttered open, and as she glanced around the room, her gaze landed on Sana sitting on a table, wearing only a shirt and no pants.

Shock washed over her, and she couldn't help but blurt out, "What are you doing?!"

Sana's cheeks flushed bright red as she fidgeted awkwardly.

"Oh, don't mind me" she stammered, trying to play it off casually. "It was just so hot, you know? I thought I'd try to cool off a bit."

Y/n's disbelief only grew as she watched Sana's flustered attempts at explanation.

With a sigh, she grabbed a nearby pillow and tossed it onto Sana's lap.

"Put some pants on, Sana" she scolded, unable to hide the amusement in her voice.

As she glanced around the room, her eyes landed on Tzuyu, peacefully asleep on the couch.

Y/n couldn't help but shake her head in amusement at the chaos that seemed to follow her friends wherever they went.

With a chuckle, she settled back into bed, ready to face whatever antics the day might bring.

As Tzuyu stirred from her slumber, her eyes fluttered open to find Y/n's teasing gaze fixed upon her. With a mischievous grin, Y/n couldn't resist the opportunity to tease her friend.

"Did you have a great night, Tzuyu?" she quipped, waggling her eyebrows suggestively.

Sana couldn't hold back a giggle at Y/n's playful jab, but Tzuyu's reaction was anything but amused.

Her expression shifted from groggy confusion to outright discomfort, a mixture of awkwardness and mild disgust evident on her face.

Y/n's laughter rang out, enjoying the sight of Tzuyu's flustered reaction.

"Relax, Tzuyu" she reassured, still chuckling. "I'm just messing with you."

Tzuyu shot Y/n a withering glare, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

"Can you not?" she muttered, clearly not in the mood for any more teasing.

Sana tried to stifle her laughter, but a few giggles escaped despite her efforts.

"Sorry, Tzuyu" she managed to say between laughs, her amusement evident.

Y/n relented, offering Tzuyu an apologetic smile.

"Okay, okay, I'll stop" she promised, her laughter finally subsiding as she settled back into bed, the morning's antics already becoming a fond memory.

Sana's phone suddenly rang, startling everyone.

Without hesitation, she answered, her expression turning serious as she listened intently to the voice on the other end.

"Mina will be coming there!" Momo exclaimed urgently, her eyes wide with alarm. "She'll be looking for every VIP room! Move!"

Sana's eyes widened in panic, her heart racing as she processed the urgency of Momo's words.

"We have to go, now!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling with anxiety.

Tzuyu sprang into action, her mind racing as she quickly formulated a plan.

"Y/n, we need to get you out of here" she said, her tone urgent as she moved to help Y/n out of bed.

Y/n blinked in confusion, still half-asleep and completely clueless about the chaos unfolding around her.

"What are you doing? Where are you taking me?" she asked, her voice tinged with bewilderment.

Sana's panic escalated as she struggled to find the right words. "You know what, I can't hold it anymore" she blurted out, her voice wavering with emotion.

"I just want you to be away from Mina for a while because Chaeyoung will just hurt you more."

Y/n's eyes widened in surprise at Sana's unexpected confession, her confusion deepening.

Before she could even process what was happening, Tzuyu was ushering her out of the room, their frantic escape already in motion.

The three friends dashed towards the elevator, their hearts pounding with adrenaline as they hurriedly pressed the button for the ground floor.

They anxiously waited as the elevator descended, each passing second feeling like an eternity.

Finally, with a soft ding, the elevator doors slid open on the fourth floor.

Their hearts sank as they saw Mina standing there, her arms crossed and a cold, steely look in her eyes.

Time seemed to slow as they took in the sight before them.

Sana forced a strained smile, her eyes darting nervously between Mina and Y/n.

Y/n, sensing the tension, pretended to be asleep, unwilling to face the inevitable confrontation.

Tzuyu, feeling equally awkward, turned to face the elevator wall, adopting a posture reminiscent of a lizard.

"Y/n's awake" Sana blurted out, her voice trembling with apprehension as she pointed towards Y/n, only to realize that Y/n had somehow slipped into a deeper slumber.

Desperate to avoid Mina's wrath, Sana nudged Y/n gently, but Y/n remained stubbornly still, feigning sleep with expert precision.

Sana's throat tightened as she swallowed hard, her awkward smile faltering slightly as she mentally prepared herself for the impending confrontation with Mina.

Sana's voice wavered as she attempted to break the tense silence.

"U-Uhm... I could explain, you know?" she stammered, her words tumbling out in a panicked rush.

Momo arrived just in time, walking briskly behind Mina and signaling to Sana to hand Y/n over.

Without a word from Mina, Sana reluctantly handed Y/n to her, her movements hesitant and awkward.

Y/n couldn't resist taking a peek at Mina with one eye, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips as she saw her girlfriend looking healthy and well.

But as soon as Mina's gaze met hers, Y/n quickly shut her eye again, pretending to be asleep.

Sana's attempts to explain grew more frantic as Tzuyu slipped into the elevator, closing the doors behind her and leaving Sana alone to face Mina.

Her words stumbled over each other, her panic evident in every stammered syllable.

With a heavy sigh, Mina finally broke her silence, her voice calm but tinged with disappointment.

"We'll talk about this later" she said quietly, her gaze unwavering as she turned and walked away, leaving Sana to grapple with the consequences of their impromptu escape attempt.

———

After a few hours of tension-filled silence, Mina finally settled Y/n in her office, the weight of the morning's events still hanging heavily in the air.

Y/n remained stubbornly still, pretending to be asleep, while Mina stood beside her, her gaze fixed on her friend.

"You know how tired I am of looking for you? Missing you?" Mina's voice was soft, tinged with a mixture of frustration and longing.

"But you wished before that I should still be taking care of myself, so I did" she continued, her words measured and deliberate.

"But now, I've seen you again" Mina paused, her tone shifting to one of simmering anger.

"I. Am. Mad" she emphasized each word with a sharp edge, her frustration finally boiling over.

Y/n's body tensed like a stone beneath the weight of Mina's words, her muscles coiled tight with tension.

Despite her best efforts to remain still and silent, she couldn't stop the subtle trembling that coursed through her limbs.

Her heart hammered in her chest, each beat echoing loudly in her ears as she struggled to control her racing thoughts.

She could feel the beads of sweat forming on her brow, threatening to betray her facade, and trying to swallow hard and to quell the rising tide of panic that threatened to overwhelm her.

Every fiber of her being screamed to open her eyes, to face Mina's wrath head-on, but Y/n remained stubbornly still, clinging to the illusion of sleep as if it were her only lifeline

As Mina's hand gripped Y/n's ear, a sharp yelp escaped Y/n's lips, and her eyes flew open in surprise.

Before she could protest, Mina's voice broke the silence with a single command "Stop pretending to be asleep! I saw you open your eyes already!"

Y/n's heart pounded in her chest as she swallowed hard, feeling the weight of Mina's accusation.

"Okay, fine! Fine! I'm sorry!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling with a mix of fear and frustration. "I just came from a coma, you know?!"

Mina's grip softened, her hand falling away as she pulled Y/n into a tight embrace.

Tears streamed down her face as she clung to Y/n, her sobs echoing in the quiet room.

There were no words, only the sound of Mina's heart-wrenching cries and the gentle rhythm of their shared breaths.

Y/n's own eyes prickled with tears as she wrapped her arms around Mina, returning the hug with all the strength she could muster.

Mina's words tumbled out in a jumbled mess, her scolding punctuated by sobs that made her sentences nearly incomprehensible.

"Y-you...you can't just...disappear like that...worried...s-so much...didn't know..." Her voice cracked with emotion, her words disjointed and fragmented.

Y/n couldn't help but let out a small laugh at the sight of Mina's stammering scolding, a hint of amusement twinkling in her eyes.

As Mina's tearful scolding continued, Y/n couldn't help but find amusement in the situation.

She playfully dodged Mina's attempts to make eye contact, a mischievous glint dancing in her eyes as she feigned innocence.

Mina's frustration grew as Y/n avoided her gaze, and with a soft punch and a pleading tone, she implored

"Yah...talk to me."

Y/n's lips twitched into a playful smile, but she remained evasive, deliberately looking everywhere but at Mina.
