Bio: When Y/N was eighteen he lost both of his parents in a car crash. When he turned twenty-two, he befriended Heather and Michael and begin to live in the Black Hills Woods where it is rumored haunted by the Blair Witch but chooses to live in secluded and alone. He was then approached by Heather and wanted his help to film her documentary on the Blair Witch considering he knows the area in the woods, and he accepted.
Name: Heather Donahue
Bio: Heather was the daughter of Jim and Angie Donahue, the granddaughter of Randy and Sadie Donahue, the sister of James Donahue and the cousin of Cade Merrill. Heather lived in Montgomery County, Maryland, and attended Wheaton High School. During a school production of Romeo and Juliet, she became best friends with Rachel Meyer.
Name: Michael Williams
Bio: Michael Williams was born on November 9, 1970 to Louis & Lorraine Williams in a hospital in Washington D.C. Michael was very close with his older brother Tom. As a kid, he liked to break the family's Golden Rule of no cursing in the house, in order to push the limits. Mike was a student at Montgomery College and became friends with Joshua Leonard, with whom he often went out drinking. Michael enjoyed doing sound, so when his friend Josh asked him to help out on Heather Donahue's Blair Witch Project he accepted.
Name: Joshua Leonard
Bio: Joshua was born the son of Jacob and Summer Leonard. Josh was friends with Michael Williams and they often went out drinking together. In April of 1994, Josh was approached by Heather Donahue to be the director of photography for a documentary she was doing on the legend of the Blair Witch. They'd previously worked on several projects together and got along well, so he agreed to the assignment, recruiting Mike to do the sound. The night before heading out on the project, Josh fought with his girlfriend Lisa Toller because she didn't want him to go. She'd only met Heather once, but had a bad feeling about her.
Name: James Donahue
Bio: James was born the son of Angie and Jim Donahue, grandson of Randy and Sadie Donahue, the brother of Heather Donahue and the cousin of Cade Merrill. Little is known of James' early life, or what his relationship with his older sister was. Likely it was a good relationship, as he cared enough to try and find her later on in his adult life. Lisa noted that for as long as she had known James he had been searching high and low for answers about Heather. This was not too different from his sister Heather, who herself ventured into the Black Hills forest because she wanted answers. After his sister's disappearance and the recovery of her footage, it is likely that when James was old enough he viewed the footage himself. James had taken part in the searches conducted by the authorities to try and find Heather and her crew. At one point, James stumbled across a video on YouTube, which was reportedly found near the site where Heather disappeared which revealed Heather may still be alive, and takes his friends to look for her.
Name: Lane
Bio: Lane began writing information about the Blair Legend and related articles on his blog darknet666blog in December 2013. On April 27, 2014, Lane discovered a DV tape in the Black Hills Forest which its footage shows a frantic cameraman running through a mysterious house. He then uploaded a copy of the tape online, which eventually caught the attention of James Donahue, the brother of one of the missing people, Heather Donahue.
Name: Peter Jones
Bio: Peter Jones is friends with James whose sister went missing. After a video of who presumed was Heather. He, James and their friends go out to the woods to find Heather.
Name: Ashley Bennett
Bio: Ashley Bennett is friends with James. After a video of who is presumed to be Heather was uploaded to YouTube, James and the others go out to find his long-lost sister.
Name: Lisa Arlington
Bio: Lisa Arlington is a filmmaker and the girlfriend of James Donahue who helped look for his sister, Heather.
Name: Talia
Bio: Talia was friends with Lane, who uploaded footage that presumably shows Heather still alive. After James contacts them, her and Lane guides them to where they found the tape to look for Heather.
Name: Elly Kedward
Bio: In February 1785, several children accused her of luring them into her home to draw blood from them. She was found guilty of sucking blood, banished from the village during a particularly harsh winter, and presumed dead. Different reports state that the town dragged her into the woods, tied her to a tree and left her for dead. Young children from the township returned to investigate if Elly had died yet. They found her alive and still tied to the tree, the children sent dogs after her, and slashed her with sticks and knives. They dipped their hands in her blood and press handprints into her flesh before untying her and hanging her from the very same tree. By midwinter, all of Elly Kedward's accusers, along with half of the town's children vanished. Fearing of being cursed or bewitched, the townspeople fled Blair and vowed never to utter the name Elly Kedward again.
