A short time later, they were sitting in a noble car and Jisung ask himself not for the first time what Chan was working, but he didn't ask him. He had the feeling that he had no right to ask such a question, so he kept his thoughts to himself.

It was still raining and Jisung watched the raindrops run down the car window while he hung out his thoughts.

He wondered what the hell he should wear to work tonight. Because in the crumpled suit he could hardly be seen there.

Hyunjin would laugh at him, even if he wouldn't mean it and their boss would send him back home to change.

Home..

He no longer had a home.

Sighing, he shook his head and noticed that Chan was watching him.

He had noticed how Jisung's expression had changed from sad to something like desperate and helpless and didn't really know what to do.

"I... is everything okay...?" he finally asked and would have liked to slap himself for the question the next moment. Of course, everything wasn't okay.

Jisung raised his head and tried to smile, but then shook his head in torment.

"I..."

He didn't know exactly why, but like the night before, he told Chan what was bothering him, although he had the feeling that he would put pressure on the older. And he definitely didn't want that.

"I have to work later... and I really can't show up like this... the problem is that all my things are with him..." he furiously wiped away the tear that rolled down his cheek.

Chan looked at Jisung unhappy. The mental pain of the younger one was almost within reach and so big that even Chan could feel the weight.

He wished he could just cancel the trip to Australia and stay here to help Jisung. But his father desperately needed him and, as far as Chan knew, had no one who could step in for him.

He suppressed an unfortunate sigh and looked at his watch. It was still early, just half past eleven and he still had plenty of time until his flight would leave.

"Where does he live?" he finally asked.

Jisung just stared at him for a moment and didn't understand what Chan wanted from him.

"The address?" Chan repeated and looked at Jisung with raised eyebrows.

Jisung's eyes widened and he shook his head frantically.

"That's not what I meant! You have to catch your flight..." said Jisung and looked at Chan almost in panic.

"Mhm I know, but I mean it! The address?"

Jisung bit his lower lip and shook his head.

"Jisung," said Chan, looked the younger one deep in the eyes and smiled temptingly at him.

Again, Jisung couldn't help but stare at Chan and thought of the moment when Chan had stood in front of him dressed only with a towel.

"Fine...," he finally said and gave Chan the address.

"We're making another stopover," Chan said to his driver and gave him the address.

After that, they sat silently next to each other.

Chan quickly noticed how uncomfortable the younger felt and wondered if he was pushing him to do something he wasn't ready for, or if he was afraid that he would miss his flight because of him.

He reached out to Jisung and to his surprise Jisung grabbed his hand.

It wasn't far to the address that Jisung had mentioned and somehow it surprised Chan that the guy lived in such a good area. What he had heard from him sounded more like scum than like anything else.

But after all, there was enough scum among well-to-do people.

"Do you have a key?" he asked the younger after they got out of the car.

Jisung nodded, but looked like he would have liked to run away.

Chan grabbed his hand and pulled the younger with him without further ado.

"Come, we can do it!" he said and smiled at the younger encouraging.

The doorman nodded to Jisung with a smile and let them pass without saying anything, from which Chan concluded that Jisung must have been here a lot.

Arriving at the apartment door, Jisung hesitated to put the key in the lock for so long that Chan finally simply took the key from him and unlocked the door himself.

"I knew you would come back. Did you realize that I'm the best thing you ever-"

The guy who owned the voice froze when he saw Chan standing in his apartment, who stood so that Jisung was almost completely covered by him.

"The best thing that could happen to him?! Certainly not!" Chan said so derogatory that the guy blushed with anger.

"Who are you? Get out of my apartment!" he almost screamed to hide how nervous Chan made him.

"Yeah sure," Chan said and laughed.

"Go get your things, babe, I'll take care of the piece of shit here for so long!" Chan said lovingly to Jisung and pushed him a little further into the apartment.

"These are all my things! He's not allowed to touch anything here!" shouted the piece of shit and moved in Jisung's direction to stop him.

"When you get even closer to him, you can watch from the floor while Jisung is packing his things!" Chan growled and built himself up to his full size.

Jisung couldn't help but stare at him. He had already seen Chan with his naked upper body before and knew that the older one was muscular, but he had been sweet and gentle to him. Only now did he realize that it was better not to have Chan as an enemy.

"Come on babe, then we'll pack your things together," he said, grabbed Jisung's hand again and pulled him with him.

Jisung was one hundred percent sure that Chan called him Babe to leave the impression as if they were a couple.

And yet the pet name made Jisung feel like he had butterflies in his stomach and that he blushed instantly.

Chan topped the whole thing with pulling Jisung to himself and pressing a gentle kiss on his lips.

"Come on, let's get your things so that we don't disturb the piece of shit longer than necessary, right?"

Jisung heard Haku gasping for air and that was the necessary push Jisung needed to finally react again.

He nodded as if remotely controlled and pulled Chan with him into the guest room where all his things were stuffed in four boxes.

"Well, we should be able to do that," Chan said, still smiling and grabbed two boxes.

Jisung, who m still hadn't processed that Chan had kissed him, just followed his example and grabbed the other two boxes.

But Haku didn't want to let them go as simple as Jisung had hoped. He stood in front of the apartment door and sparkled angrily at the two.

"None of you have the right to take anything from my apartment! Apart from that, Jisung lives here with me and the whole thing is none of your business!" he snorted angrily and took several steps towards Chan.

Chan just laughed and wanted to push past him, but Haku held him tight.

"If I have to put down the boxes to beat you up, then I'll be happy to do so! Either you let go of me and let Jisung go without causing any more drama, or we both settle it between us. And one more thing: whoever has you as a friend doesn't need enemies!"

It took a moment for Haku to be able to speak again, but finally he let go of Chan and turned to Jisung.

"Do you really just want to throw away all these years because of a guy like that? Think about what we've been through together."

Now Jisung also had to laugh.

"Go aside or I'll report you for attempted rape! And forget that we've ever known each other! I never want to see you again!"

With those words, he pushed past Chan, opened the front door and left the apartment.

Chan grinned contentedly and followed Jisung. He was incredibly proud of the younger one.

Jisung trembled all over his body. Despite everything, it had still hurt incredibly to have to see Haku again. And although he had fought very bravely with Chan by his side, he now had the feeling that he had to throw up.

Chan certainly noticed that Jisung wasn't doing well right now, but couldn't do much with the boxes in his hands.

When they finally arrived at the car again, Chan left it to his driver to store the boxes in the trunk and pulled Jisung into his arm.

He was aware that everything that had happened in the last not even 24 hours was not normal and absolutely didn't go at a normal pace, but somehow he couldn't help it.

What nevertheless surprised him was that Jisung seemed to trust him. Although he also remembered the sad confession from the previous evening. That he would have no other choice even if he felt compelled.

Worried, he pondered whether he had gone too far, but at that moment Jisung wrapped his arms around Chan and laid his head on his shoulder and for the moment the gloomy thoughts had disappeared again.

A short time later, they were back in the car, finally on the way to Changbin.

Jisung had leaned exhausted against Chan. The trembling had become less but hadn't yet completely disappeared.

He felt kind of empty and sad. At the same time, it felt kind of good to be able to lean on Chan.

His feelings were a single mess. The last few days had been an incredible up and down and he didn't know in the slightest how to deal with all this.

The only thing that was certain was that he felt safe and secure in the arms of a stranger, Chan, more than he had in a very long time.
