Belly POV
After their little adventure upstairs, Belly and Jeremiah joined Taylor and Jake for a game of beer pong.
While they were having fun with their friends , Belly noticed that they were being watched by Lacie, who was whispering in her friends' ears while staring at Belly.
Realizing how ridiculous the situation was, Belly raised her glass to Lacie and blew her a kiss.
Lacie was surprised by Belly's gesture and finally looked away from her .
Belly smiled mischievously, she had regained control of the situation. When she turned back to Jere, he looked at her curiously and said, "Who are you smiling to Bells ? "
She approached him gently and put her hands around his neck, clinging to him, she kissed him full on the mouth, he responded immediately , and put his arms around her to be closer,forgetting that they were in public.
Belly always lost herself in their kissing and touching, he was perfect.
When they stopped their passionate kissing , she finally replied, "I just made your "girlfriend" understand that she needs to stop stalking us.. bitch "
Jeremiah burst out laughing, "I kind of love jealous Belly, she is so feisty." Belly also laughed.
Taylor and Jake interrupted them and suggested they dance a little.
The dance floor began to fill up and the mood began to lift.
The group of friends went wild with all the music, they had a blast dancing to everything, Ariana, Beyoncé, Drake, Backstreet Boys... They had so much fun.
Belly watched the dynamic between Talor and Jake, they whispered things into each other's ears and laughed.
They were very touchy with each other, it was subtle but Belly noticed it. . It had been a long time since Belly had seen Taylor smile so much and so easily.
The breakup with Steven had been complicated for her best friend, they tried to maintain the relationship at a distance, but Steven was very busy and under pressure at Princeton it could not last despite the love they had for each other.
Steven never talked about his breakup, but Belly knew he had suffered.
He was very good at hiding his emotions behind his ambition to succeed in his studies and make a future for himself.
Whatever had happened after their breakup, Belly had done her best to support her best friend, even if she thought she often hadn't done enough.
Taylor had been a strong support for her during her breakup with Conrad and the death of Susannah.
She was a mess, and her best friend had been patient, empathetic, and there whenever Belly needed her.
Taylor was the president of the fan club "Team Jellyfish" as she liked to call them. She always could see that Jeremiah was Belly's person and that he was so in love with her.
With Jeremiah, they were a big part of her recovery. She doesn't know what she would have become without them.
She watched Jake, he was a really nice person too, a support for Jere when he arrived at Finch, always ready to cheer him up in the moments when the distance between them, the mourning for his mother and the success of his integration into the university were very hard for him.
If Belly had to choose someone to be with her best friend, Jake would be first on the list.
She didn't know much about his romantic past, but Jeremiah had confided in her that he'd broken up with his high school sweetheart just before college, and that he'd had trouble getting over it.
Belley was jolted out of her thoughts when two boys tried to approach her and Taylor, one standing behind Belly and as he put his arms around her waist , the other is trying to take Taylor by the hand and pull her toward him. She could tell they were drunk.
Belly looked at Jeremiah who automatically tensed, his forehead wrinkled and his eyes darkening, she saw his jaw tighten as well.
The boy didn't even have time to open his mouth before Jere walked over and pushed him gently, saying, "Hey man, don't touch and hive her some space, don't be a fucking dick."
She would never dare to admit it, but when Jeremiah became protective, it aroused her terribly, he was usually so gentle and sensitive, but when it was necessary he would defend her against the world.

Belly had rarely seen Jeremiah so pissed off about a random guy at a party.
She whispered, cupping his cheek, "Jere, let it go, okay, it's not worth it..." he looked into her eyes and his gaze softened. but he insisted, "Bells, he's disrespecting you, I just want him to apologize."
He looked back at the asshole and his friend" so , i am waiting... "
They seemed to have sobered up a bit, apparently they were not drunk enough to not notice that Jere was about to kick his ass and that Jake was going to back him up.
The guy turned to Belly and said, "I'm... sorry. "
Jere ordered, "Tell her that you're sorry for being a big pervert, that you'll never do it again, not with her, not with any of the girls at this party or anywhere"
The boy hesitated a little, "Man, I already apologized."
Jeremiah approached him, took his chin in his hand and ordered again, "Just repeat the sentence , it's easy."
"You wouldn't want some asshole to do the same thing to your mother or your sister, would you?"he added.
The boy had a frightened look on his face, Jere finally let go of his chin and said, "Go ahead.
He approached Belly and said, "I'm sorry for being a big pervert, I'll never do it again... I'm really sorry."
Jere patted him on the head like a little child, "There you go, that wasn't so hard, now get out of here so I can't see your fucking face anymore,"
He put his arms around Belly's shoulders and watched him leave.
Belly couldn't believe it, she had never seen him act like that, all to defend her honor.
However, she was very happy that no one was beaten.
She looked at Jere and said, "It's okay, he's gone and I'm fine, you can relax my love".
Jake added, "I thought you were going to hit him when you grabbed his chin. "
Jeremiah replied, "Nobody disrespects or touch Belly or my friends," he said looking at Taylor too , "Are you okay? "Yes, Jeremy, thank you, I'm fine, but you scared the hell out of me," she added, laughing.
Belly and Jere took the last event of the night as a sign to leave the party. When

Jake and Taylor decided to stay, Belly gave Taylor a hug and a wink as they left.
She hoped they would have a lot of fun, she was so glad they were bonding.
She and Jere would spend the night in her room, even if Taylor came home later, she didn't mind him being with them.
On the way back, Jere carried Belly on his back because she was too tired. It was their ritual. The campus was silent, and they even took the opportunity to be silent together.
