March 3rd 2025
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania had always been her happy place. It had become Nashville when Taylor's family had moved there when she was only fourteen years old, but there was something about Pennsylvania. The way the people were so kind and gracious, to the simple way of living. Sometimes she missed the way things used to be, but she wouldn't give up music in a heartbeat. The pair of them had decided to take the trip to Philadelphia, the last one before the baby was born next month, in order to celebrate both Bennett and Elliotte's birthdays. It felt like time had flown by and Travis couldn't believe that the little girl who he held right after the second Super Bowl win of his career was now a babbling two year old running around the living room, trying her best to keep up and copy absoulelty everything that her older sisters were doing. Taylor swore that she was going to go into labour at any point, her Braxton hicks contractions had been becoming more regular and strong and the baby had dropped even lower almost overnight. She was reassured by Kylie that this was totally normal but could not seem to shake of the feeling that something bad was going to happen. She had never made it this far in a pregnancy, something was bound to happen. Taylor's sickness had for the most part worn off, still coming back for vengeance when she came into contact with anything meat related, more specifically chicken. She had been glad when the Chiefs had been knocked out of the playoffs in the AFC championship games. No matter how sad it made her to see Travis so defeated, it did make her slightly happy that she wouldn't have to endure another game of sickness as she battled with the smells of all of the food she once saw as delightful in the suite. Her one true love of chicken tenders had been thrown out of the window, along with her love for seemingly ranch and anything fried.

Her new found love was anything salted caramel flavoured, and still dippin dots. It had been hard trying to hide her stash of them from Jason and Travis throughout her pregnancy. They all sat around the coffee table in the living room, watching as the girls unwrapped their presents from Travis and Taylor. They were very excited: Bennett being gifted her very own Barbie princess castle and dressing up costumes. Elliotte's gifts being a huge collection of dinosaur toys to add to her growing collection along with an arts and crafts painting set and Travis' favourite and chosen present, a nerf gun. Taylor saw Jason's face lift up with glee but watched Kylie's drop with horror, knowing that as her parents, they would be taking the brunt of the action from that nerf gun. Hopefully they could just accidentally loose it when Eliootte wasn't watching, the same way Jason planned on accidentally loosing their cat if they ever got one. Taylor and Travis had plans for that.

After an eventful family barbecue and lots of presents, cake eating and dancing around, it was finally time for the girls to start winding down and getting ready for bed.

"Ok girlies, its gonna be time for pyjamas and stories soon."

"Can Auntie Tay sing us a song please!!!" Wyatt begged, with Elliotte agreeing enthusiastically. Taylor was laying half asleep on one of the big recliner sofas in the living room, with a sleepy Bennet cuddled up in her lap.

"Shush girls, Aunt Tay is very tired from carrying your baby cousin so we need to be extra quiet. Maybe she can sing you a song tomorrow?" Kylie shushed, not noticing Taylor's eyes slowly beginning to peel open

"No I can do it now if they want me to."

"Only if you are sure. They can wait till tomorrow." Kylie said and Taylor shook her head, reaching forward to pass the sleeping Bennett over to Kylie and over to grab Jason's guitar that he kept lying around. She never brought her instruments to Philly with them because she knew that the basics that she needed would be here, and sometimes it was nice to have some time away from work to spend with friends and family.

"What song do you want girlies?" Taylor asked, ushering the two older girls over to sit in front of her on the floor. Playing the guitar would be difficult when she was thirty six weeks pregnant but she would do it for their nieces. She would do anything for them just like she knew she will do everything and anything for he little girl when she finally arrives next month.

"The one from the pink album!!" Wyatt shouted, jumping upon and down in her spot of the floor next to Taylor. She knew the one that Wyatt meant. Her album Lover. It was an album she had a difficult relationship with. On the one hand she loved it, and it was such a fun and happy time of her life after Reputation. But with so many songs Witten with or about Joe, it's as hard not to think back to how life had been before, and how it was now. Ofocurse it was better now, but she couldn't help but think.

"Ok, I think I will play this one. Your Uncle Travvy likes this one."

We could leave the Christmas lights up till January
This is our place, we make the rules
And there's a dazzling haze
and mysterious way about you dear
Have I know you twenty seconds, or twenty years?

Can I go where you go?
Can we always be this close?
Forever and ever and oh
Take me out and Take me home
Forever and ever
You're my my my my lover

Before long, her three concert goers had fallen asleep on the floor and Taylor had hoped it hadn't been her boring music that had sent them to sleep. It was dad's duty tonight, with Jason forcing Travis to help him out the girls to bed as quote on quote "practise for later on". The women let them get on with it, finishing off the tidying up of that days chaos downstairs.

"Ky, can I ask you something?" Taylor piped up as they sat organising the girls art supplies that had found themselves scattered across the playroom floor.

"Ofcourse Taylor, you can ask me anything you know that." Kylie replied sweetly.

"Do you think Travis will be a good dad?" Taylor asked quietly.

"Do you want my honest opinion?" Kylie said, cocking an eyebrow up in confusion and Taylor nodded.

"Yes please. I just need people to be straight with me and stop tiptoeing around me. I'm pregnant, not an incubator of some deadly disease that could kill me at any point."

Kylie put down the toys she had been organising, gesturing for Taylor join her at the island in the kitchen.

"Honestly. No I don't!"

"Well you weren't supposed to say that!" Taylor said in a shocked tone, her eyes widening.

"Well what was I supposed to say. You wanted me to be honest and that is the gods honest truth Tay." Kylie replied, searching a drawer for a corkscrew.

"You ere supposed to tell me yes, he is going to be a great dad and that I have nothing to worry about." Taylor sighed, resting her head in her hands in frustration.

"Well then I would be lying then wouldn't I." Kylie replied, coming over to sit next to Taylor, wrapping a free arm around her. "He will be a good dad. But at first, he is going to sleep through all of her crying. He is going to call Jason up in the middle of night because he doesn't know what wrong and will end up going down a google rabbit hole. He is going to put on onesies wrong and not know how to change diapers. He will probably throw up when he smells her poopy diaper for the first time. But you are both going to love this crazy little human so much that none of it is going to matter."

"Do you think so?" Taylor smiled.

"I know so. I saw the exact same thing happen with myself and Jason. Do you think that man was programmed to be a father? Hell I don't trust him alone with all three girls even now. No one is born a parent, we all have to learn somehow and we all learn along the way. And do you know what?" Kylie asked, looking over at Taylor sweetly.

"What?"

"Travis asked me the exact same thing a few weeks ago." Kylie mused, watching as Taylor's mouth fell open slightly.

"Really?" Taylor wondered and Kylie nodded, going on to explain their conversation in detail.

"Travis was so worried that you just seemed to be a natural mother but he felt useless. He was determined to be more helpful than Jason which I think you are lucky for." Both of them laughed before Taylor replied.

"So what did you tell him?"

"The truth. Exactly what I just told you. It is going to be really hard most days and a lot of the time you re going to want to give up and wonder why the hell you decided to have a baby in the first place. And then they will do something really really cute and all of those feelings will just be washed away and you will forget why you ever doubted yourselves."

Taylor wrapped as much of herself as she could around the younger woman. No matter how much she was scared, Kylie had managed to reassure her somewhat.

"You know Wyatt keeps asking me when will Auntie Tay and Uncle Trav get married ahaha." Kylie laughed and Taylor smirked.

"Me too Wyatt, I am wondering the same thing."

"He will do it one day. Lets just hope that yours is more romantic then mine was, in the car at my parents house. He only proposed when he did because he wanted to get it out of the way before training camp started. He did it in the middle of training camp so was already a few weeks late in proposing."

Taylor sighed, putting down the cup of green tea she had just made to look back at Kylie. "I know he will one day, it's just that. Well he said before he wants to find "a breeder" so to speak so that Donna will love him again for having kids and giving them grandkids. I just don't want to be that. I want to be his wife Kylie."

Unbeknownst to either Kylie or Taylor, Travis had been listening in from the living room. He had guessed that they had been downstairs chatting whilst him and Jason wrestled with the three girls to get them into bed. With Jason heading off to have a shower, he found himself trekking back downstairs to find his girl. She was talking to Kylie about marriage, something they had spoken about before. He knew that they were both on the same page about getting married after the baby was born. It was not an if it was always a when for them. Travis had known ever since he stepped foot into that apartment in New York City in August of 2023. The dinner they shared, the conversations they had. That night as he fell asleep he prayed that they would never end. It was true love. The kind of love that has fireworks shooting and firing at the door, the kind that Jason had described when he talked about meeting Kylie for the firsts time at buffalo billiards in downtown Philadelphia.

And he wished whole heartedly that all those years ago, he had never made that joke. Thats all it had been, a stupid joke. He had never thought Taylor would ever even hear it, let alone take it seriously. He would never see her as just some breeder. If anything he thought he would marry her first. He had plans to propose to her already multiple times before, but life as always had gotten in the way. He turned himself back around, vowing to grant the girls the privacy they deserved and feeling as if he couldn't bear to hear anymore of the situation. Which was most likely for the best as they soon turned the subject from marriage, to mucus plugs and what it was like to loose them and when.

Upstairs in the guest bedroom, Travis pulled out his Mac book from his rucksack. Ignoring all of the emails he was meant to reply to, he opened up Google, typing in...
