"Mera putra sakushal toh hoga na, Arya ?" Devaki asked anxiously, her voice filled with worry. Despite being out of prison, the grand walls surrounding them still felt like a prison in itself.

Vasudev looked at her with pity, gently placing a hand on her shoulder, "Chinta na karo. Mujhe vishwas hai ki Nand aur Yashoda use apne hi putra se badhkar prem kar rahe honge."

Tears, held back by her lashes for so long, broke free. All her children had been taken away from her, and the one who remained was now beyond her reach.

She turned to Vasudev, her eyes filled with longing, and asked, "Kya meri niyati mei mamta ka sukh nahi hai ?"

"Awashya hai." A calm voice replied. Both Vasudev and Devaki turned their heads to see Shri Gargacharya, the revered priest of the Yaduvansh, standing before them.

They immediately stood up and bowed down, touching their foreheads to his feet. Garg Muni placed his hands on their heads, showering them with his blessings before helping them rise. His gaze fell upon Devaki's tear-stained face, and he offered a sad smile.

He said, "Jis prakar Aditi ne varsho tak tapasya kar, Vishnu ko Vaman roop mei apna putra paya tha. Jis prakar varsho tak nisantaan reh Kaushalya ne Parambrahm swaroop Ram ko apna putra paya tha, uss hi prakar Devi aapne bhi kayi tyaag kar swayam Bhagwaan ko apne kokh se janm diya hai."

Pausing for a moment he continued, "Jo sukh Aditi aur Kaushalya ko praapt huya tha, woh aapko bhi praapt awashya hoga. Parantu aapko inke bhaati dhairya dharna hoga."

Devaki nodded, feeling assured at his words and fully comprehending that she was an integral part of the divine play of the gods and that she must not allow her emotions to hinder the grand plan.

"Kis naam se bulaya jata hai usko ?" She asked.

Garg Muni answered, "Abhi tak naam karan sanskaar huya nahi hai."

Vasudev said, "Jaha Tak mujhe yaad hai, aaj mere putra ko janme 100 din ho chuke hai. Kyu Devaki ?"

She nodded a yes, Vasudev then glanced back at the great seer, joining his hands and humbly requesting in a whisper like voice, "Muni Garg, aap Tapodhan hai, kripiya Gokul jaa, mere Devaki ke putra ko ek upyukt naam pradaan kare."

For a moment, Gargacharya remained silent, before looking up, unable to understand what name to bestow God himself, "Sabhi naam jiske hai.... Sabhi naam jis se hai... Use mai kya naam pradaan karu ?"

"Aap atyant gyaani hai, Munivar. Jo naam denge, wahi jag prasidh hoga. Jag ke kalyaan hetu, koi naam toh aapko dena hi hoga." Vasudev said.

Garg glanced back at him and replied, "Yeh toh mera saubhagya hoga."

---------

Gargacharya, adorned in his traditional attire and carrying his sacred scriptures, entered the house of Nand with a serene smile on his face. The mukhiya, overwhelmed by the presence of such the revered sage of Yadavas, bowed down in deep reverence and offered him a seat of honor, worshiping him as if he was a god.

As Gargacharya settled comfortably, Nand expressed his gratitude for the seer's visit.

"Aapke aane se humara ghar dhanya huya. Prabhu, aap toh swayam purnkaam hai, fir mai aapki kya sewa Karu ?" Nand asked, "Aap jaise punyatmao ka ana, hum grihasto ke liye param kalyaan ka karan hai."

Gargacharya's eyes twinkled with warmth as he replied, "Nand, aaj mai sewa lene nahi, karne aya hu. Uss Ishvar ki. Mai tumhare putra ko naam dene aya hu."

Nand's face lit up with joy, "Yeh toh paramsaubhagya ki baat hai ! Prabhu, yadi aap pehle batate, toh ek bhavya utsav ka aayojan kar deta."

"Nahi Nand." Garg shook his head, "Yadi Kamsa ko yeh suchna milti hai ki tumhare putra ka naamkaran maine, Yaduvanshiyo ke acharya ne kiya hai, toh use vastavikta ka bodh ho sakta hai. Jabse Devi Yogmaya ne use uske annt ke baare mei chaitaya hai, tab se uski mati aur bhi brasht ho gayi hai."

Nand nodded understanding, and offered a solution, "Aap satya keh rahe hai. Aap chaahe toh humari gaushala mei hi swastivachan kar, aur naamkaran sanskaar karde. Dusre kya, mere swayam ke sage-sambandhi bhi nahi jaan paayenge."

"Yeh sarvatha uchit rahega." Garg agreed.

Nand cautiously entered his chamber, where Yashoda lay sound asleep. However, her son, the divine lord, was wide awake, engrossed in playing with the toys dangling from his cradle. With utmost tenderness, Nand gently lifted the little deity into his arms and silently departed the room.

Seeing the infant form of the lord, smiling playfully, Garg's lips parted, his eyes filled with awe and reverence. Although he had lived long enough, but never had he seen a sight so attractive, so attractive that it makes one forget all the worldly miseries, making all the worldly bonds seem insignificant, and making one realise that there exists only one bond which is permanent in this temporary world, that which is shared between aatma and Paramatma.

"Chaliye acharya." Nand said, leading the way to the backyard where the big cowshed was. Around 9 lakh cows were tied there.

Now that they both were completely alone, and not another person in sight, Garg gazed at the little lord, smiling serenely in Nand's arms, looking back at him with big curious lotus like red eyes.

"Yeh jo shyamal rang ka hai, isne bhutkaal mei, kayi deh dharan kiye hai, jeevatmao ke kalyaan hetu. Kabhi shwet, kabhi rakt, ya kabhi peele rang ka tan liye yeh prakat huya hai. Abki baar yeh krishna-varn ka hai..... Iss liye sansaar ise 'Krishna' naam se jaanega." Garg proclaimed.

"Krishna." Nand smiled at the pleasing name, as he looked down at his son who gurgled happily, showing his approval.

Garg said, "Tumhare yeh putra, chuki Vasudev ke ghar janma tha, log ise 'Shrimaan Vaasudev' kahenge."

Pausing for a moment, Garg glanced at Nand, tears of bliss were streaming down his old eyes, and with a smile he said, "Tumhare putra ke kayi naam hai, aur roop bhi anek hai. Iske jitne gun hai aur jitne karm hai, uske anusaar ise alag alag naam mile hai. Unn sabhi naamo ko mai toh jaanta hu, parantu sadharan vyakti nahi. Yeh putra tumhara, tumhare gaav ka, param kalyaan karega, iss sampurn sansaar ka kalyaan karega."
