Chapter 14
BUSY ANG LAHAT SA paghahanda dahil ngayon na ang birthday party slash engagement party na pupuntahan namin. Katabi ko ngayon si Mommy dahil mini makeupan kami, nag request lang ako na hindi masyadong makapal ang imake-up sakin dahil ayaw ko namang maging mukang clown. Manipis na make up lang din ang gusto ni Mommy, naka ipit narin kaming dalawa at naka heels na isusoot nalang namin mamaya ang dress at accessories namin mamaya.
Actually yung accessories na susootin namin ni Mommy ay ako ang pumili, hinayaan niya ako ang pumili dahil hindi naman daw siya marunong sa ganon ganon in short walang alam si Mommy pagdating sa mga fashion and styles. Mula sa dress at accessories pati sa heels ay ako ang pumili.
Ngayon ay patapos na ang makeup namin kaya mabilis kumilos ang mga tauhan din ni Mommy at inihanda ang dress na sususotin namin. Pumasok ako sa Isang kwarto kasama ang dalawang babae at Isang bakla na stylist ni Mom.
Mabilis kong sinuot ang dress ko na ako mismo ang nag sketch, nahirapan pa ako nung una kaya buti nalang ay nandito ang stylist ni Mommy kaya tinulungan ako mag suot. Isinuot na sakin ng isa sa mga babae ang necklace at ang earrings, nang matapos ay mabilis akong tumayo para tignan ang sarili sa salamin.
Napapalakpak ang tatlo habang tinitignan ako mula ulo hanggang paa, halos kuminang na ata ang mga mata nila habang nakatingin sakin kaya napailing ako.
"Wow! Ma'am sobrang ganda niyo po!" Mabilis na papuri sakin ni Julianne na dating Jules ang pangalan.
Ngumiti ako sakanya. "Thank you."
Napatingin ako sa dalawang babae nang lumapit ito saakin at basta nalang ibinigay kay Julianne ang cellphone.
"Ma'am pwede po bang mag pa picture? Ang ganda niyo po kasi!" Kinikilig na sabi ng Isang matangkad na babae.
"Oo nga po ma'am! Para kang artista! Para kahit sa Isang post ko lang ay may kasama kaming maganda!" Masiglang sabi naman ng maikling buhok na babae.
Natawa nalang ako bago tumango, kinuhanan kami ni Julianne ng picture at Isang picture na kasama siya. Lumabas din ako kaagad at napatingin kay Mommy na nakabihis narin napatili nalang siya ng makita ako.
"Oh my god, your so beautiful baby!" Yumakap ito saakin.
Tumawa lang ako bago siya tignan. "You too Mommy, mas bumagay sayo yang dress mo."
Ngumiti lang siya sakin. "I know and thanks to you!"
Bagay na bagay talaga kay Mommy ang napili kong dress, it's a color rose gold dress a long a line satin side slit off shoulder. It's just simple dress but when Mommy finally wear it, it's look stunning and expensive. Mommy just wearing a 3 inches rose pink leather high heels with gold and pink flowers and a pink diamond water drop decor jewelry necklace and earrings.
Ako ang pumili non dahil ibinase ko lang sa skin tone ni Mommy ang pinili kong kulay, at malaking pasasalamat ko nang bumagay naman iyon.
Napatingin kaming lahat sa pinto ng bigla itong bumukas at sumilip sila Daddy at kuya na tapos nading maghanda.
"Wow! Ang po pogi!" Pangaasar ko.
Napailing sila Daddy, Kuya Travis at Tyler pero si Kuya Tristan ay nginisian ako.
"Syempre! Dapat nasasanay kana sa kagwapuhan namin!" Mayabang na saad nito kaya kaagad nalukot ang muka ko.
Ang kapal talaga ng muka.
Inirapan ko siya at lumabas na sa kwarto, nasa Isang mansion na kami kung saan gaganapin ang event at dito na mismo kami inayusan. Madaming imbitado pero napaka tahimik ng paligid.
Magkakahiwalay ang bawat pamilya sa Isang kwarto kung saan sila inaayusan, hindi na nakakapagtaka dahil mayaman ang mga Baratheon.
I want to familiarize this mansion so I will know where would I go if something happened.
Akmang bababa ako nang makita ko ang bride na nakatayo sa terrace at nakatingin sa kalangitan, it's still golden hour.
I bit my lower lip and walk towards to her, mukang mabilis niyang naramdaman ang paglapit ko dahil sa biglaang paglingon niya.
Mabilis itong ngumiti sakin. "Hey,"
I smiled back. "So...? is everything going well with your plan?"
She nodded. "Yes, and it's going to be war... that's for sure."
Bumuntong hininga ako bago sumandal sa terrace. "Are you sure about this? Can you handle all the things that might come when your plan successfully finished?"
"I... don't know actually." She looked at the golden hour again. "But this is the right thing to do, I don't want to continue all this shit that my father cause."
Napatango ako. "Okay, I will always be by your side if anything happened. Don't hesitate to asked for my help, I know that you're older than me but I have more experience than you." I smiled at her before looking at the scenery. "I will leave all of this to you now, Miryah."
Braxton is looking at himself on the mirror, he doesn't want really to go in here but when he heard that Eloise are going he changed his mind. His parents even teased him because they know that he will come because of Eloise.
I just didn't said anything dahil totoo naman. Kung hindi pupunta so Eloise malamang wala ako ngayon dito.
Napailing nalang ako bago lumabas ng kwarto, kasama namin sa iisang kwarto sila Astaroth dahil bakit hindi?
Maglalakad sana ako pababa nang napatingin ako sa terrace, the bride is in there staring at the golden hour. I'm about to walk towards to her when I saw Eloise walking towards to the bride so I stop.
I frown when they were casually talking like a friend's. I can't hear their conversation but I can read their lips, but it ended when both of them look at the golden hour kaya hindi na niya nabasa ang pinaguusapan ng dalawa.
Umalis nalang siya dahil mukang napapansin na ni Eloise na may nanonood sakanila dahil sa galaw ng katawan nito. Bumaba siya at pumuntang garden, naglakad lakad lang ako doon dahil wala naman akong gagawin. Hindi parin mawala sa isip ko kung bakit parang close na close si Eloise at ang bride na hindi ko alam kung anong pangalan.
Napalingon ako sa likod ko nang may maramdaman na palapit saakin and I was right, the man who looks younger than me approach me.
I frown when he stop meters away from me. He just looked at the man who's looking at the huge and luxury fountain. Hindi ko nalang pinansin dahil mukang malalim ang iniisip nito.
Akmang aalis nako dahil ang awkward sa pagitan namin nang magsalita ito.
"Your name is Braxton right?"
I'm shock, of course because how the hell he know my name? But I act it cool nakapamulsa akong lumingon sakanya.
"Yeah, how did you know?" I asked.
He looked at me and smiled. "Ah, right I'm one of the stuff who's holding the list of the people invited and your name is screaming of seriousness, and... I saw your picture too well all of the invited have a picture in there so yeah."
I just looked at him, he's lying... this man is creepy and something about him is not right. I can feel it.
I slowly nodded. "Ah, is that so. You? What's your name, you look year's younger than me."
"Yeah," he nod. "I'm sixteen years old."
"That's why." I mumble.
The man raised his eyebrow. "What?"
I shook my head. "Nah, it's nothing." I stepped back and wave my hand. "Bye."
Mabilis akong naglakad paalis dahil nagsisimula na akong makaramdam nang kakaiba mula sa lalaking iyon, I'm not afraid of him but it's like something is going to happen in this event and I'm worried about my family and friends... And of course to Eloise.
Umakyat ako at nakasalubong ko pa ang groom na mukang badtrip dahil sa lukot nitong mukha habang pababa, ni hindi manlang ako pinansin. Napailing nalang ako at pumunta sa room kung saan nasan sila Tita Sereia.
I knock twice, the door open and I saw Tito Knight, the one who opened the door for me.
Kaagad itong ngumiti ng makita ako kaya sinuklian ko yon.
"It's Braxton, do you need something?" He asked me and opened the door widely so I can come in.
I nod and put my hands to my pocket. "Yeah, I wanted to asked both of you something."
Tita Sereia looked at me. "And what is it?"
I sat on the couch. "I met someone, and eventually this someone is creepy, something is off with him I can feel it and as you know Tito, Tita that my instincts are always right so as my conversation end with that man I came in here to tell you that."
Tita Sereia frown. "Do you know his name?"
I shook my head. "No, but he said he's one of the stuff who's holding the list of all invited to this event so i want you Tita to ask the groom or maybe the bride to asked about that man. He's sixteen year's old by the way."
Tito Knight nod. "We can, I will leave both of you here and talked about it more, because we know you Braxton you weren't lying about this and as you said your instinct is always right."
I smiled. "Thank you Tito, it's just... that man is giving me chills, even though he's only sixteen years old."
Tito Knight nodded and leave the room. Tita Sereia called his Butler and rangers to give them an order, to know who's that man and background check all of the people surrounded in the mansion. Of course Tita Sereia is not stupid to not noticed what I really want them to do.
Maybe that man is planning something to this event and I won't risk my family and friends.
Eloise is staring at the sky as the golden hour started to fade, I don't even know why I am feeling nervous and uneasy right now.
I sigh heavily, bitting my lower lip. What the fuck is wrong with me?! Why I am feeling nervous all of sudden?!
Napangiti ako nang marinig ang tugtog mula sa baba, that's a cue that the event is starting. The song is so good, it's so good that this family is from an old money because they have a taste in music. Their mansion is even so luxury and beautiful the architect planned it so well.
Ahh, the song is so calming. If my memories serves right the title of this song is 'Young and beautiful.'
I stared at the sky as the song continue, and I carefully listen to it.
"Dear lord, when I get to heaven...."
"Please let me bring my man...."
"When he comes, tell me that you'll let him in...."
I can't help but to hummed the next lyrics.
"Father, tell me if you can...."
Napaigtad ako nang biglang may pumulupot na braso sa baywang ko. I look at my shoulder and saw Braxton closing his eyes and rest his head to my shoulder, humming the song to.
"All that grace, all that body.... All that face makes me wanna party...."
He hummed softly and starting to dance slowly with me while his arms are still around my waist.
"He's my sun, he makes me shine like diamonds...."
I sang the next part as he dance me slowly with him.
"Will you still love me.... When I'm no longer young and beautiful?"
We both look at each other while still dancing slowly and sing the song.
"Will you still love me.... When I got nothing but my aching soul?"
He slowly and carefully spin me around as my dress gracefully spin with me.
"I know you will.... I know you will.... I know that you will...."
The song continue but the dance between us stopped, I look at him and he's looking at me too, staring to my eyes. And that evening I realized that it's not just a normal crush nor like to him.
I.... already feel that I love him, not as a brother, not as a friend, but a romantic way.
Mommy cleared her throat, I look at her and raised my eyebrow. She raised her eyebrow as well so I frown. Anong problema nitong si Mommy?
"Bakit ang tahimik mo?" Mommy mouthed.
Napangisi ako. "Chismosa." I mouthed back.
She glared at me kaya natawa ako. We're currently in the table, the Davison's and the Stein's family shared a table.
Si Dad at si Tito Karter ang naguusap habang kausap nila kuya at Tyler ang panganay na anak nito na lalaki na si Kiernan. Habang sila Mommy and si Tita Elisa ang magkausap at kami nila Elaine, at ang kakambal nito na si Eline ay tahimik lang, sila tahimik kumakain ako tahimik na nakatitig kung saan.
When I realized earlier that I already love Braxton I bid a goodbye to him and tell him that my parents might already looking for me. Which is a lie since I told them that I will in the terrace and just called me if we needed to go downstairs.
The Hernández shared a table with their family. My gaze landed on Braxton who's already staring at me instantly, I look away and played with my fingers.
I feel ashamed and guilty because I leave him in there, alone.
"Are you okay, Eloise?"
Nagangat ako nang tingin kay Tita Elisa ng magtanong ito, napatingin tuloy saakin ang lahat nang nasa table kaya napangiwi ako.
I nod. "Yes, po." I smiled at her.
Halata namang hindi sila naniniwala pero tumango sila, I look at Braxton again and I gasped when he's walking towards to our table.
Ngumiti ito sa mga magulang ko at Kayla Tito Kiernan.
"Can I talk to Eloise, Tita , Tito?" Tanong nito.
Mabilis kong tinignan sila Mommy at umiling pero nginisian lang ako ni Mommy.
"Sure! Just get back here before the event starts, okay?"
Tumango si Braxton at marahan akong hinawakan sa braso at iginaya sa garden. I gritted my teeth, humanda sakin sila Mommy mamaya.
Parehas kaming tumahimik, at tumingin sa langit.
"Bakit parang iniiwasan moko?"
"Huh?!" Napalingon ako sakanya. He blink when my voice echoed around the garden. "H-hindi kaya." Mahinang sagot ko.
He shook his head. "See? You never stuttering when you're talking to me. It's only means you're avoiding me when that dance happen."
I smiled. "Hindi nga."
He stared at me kaya mabilis akong nagiwas ng tingin. I played with my fingers and side eye him.
He still staring at me so I bit my lips.
"Why so sudden?" He murmured. "Don't avoid me, Eloise... If something happened between us or if something to my gestures that you uncomfortable with just tell me... I will change it just don't avoid me, Eloise."
I look at him, his words makes my heart beats fast and crazy. But I should stop this I'm feeling for him, I might gave him a dangerous life that he already have, I can't risk it.
"There's none of your gestures makes me feel uncomfortable Braxton, It's just..." I bit my bottom lips, I can't tell him, not yet.
"Just, what Eloise? Tell me, hmm." He mumble.
I gently shook my head. "Nothing, sorry for avoiding you, Braxton. It's just I feel grumpy all of sudden. Ganon naman ako lagi."
He looked at me, clearly not accepting my reason to avoid him just like that. Ah, I forgot he's not just an ordinary person, he's just like my brothers.
I smiled at him. "You can asked my brothers and parents, I'm just like that." I held his hands.
I feel like some electric touch me when I touch his hands, his hands are so warm, far to my cold hands. My heart beats are not normal anymore, I wanted to slapped myself because of if I only didn't realize I love him I won't avoid him.
This is literally new to me, I always holding him, but this is the first time I felt this feeling. And that's because I already know my real feelings for him.
"Your hand is shaking." He said.
I nod. "I know... because it's so cold in here."
He's looking at me, I already know what's he's thinking right now. Did I do something? Is what he's thinking right now I can read his eyes.
Napatingin kaming pareho sa loob nang magsalita ang emcee. I look at him.
"Let's go back?"
He nodded and held my hand. "Yes, let's go back." He carefully pulled me.
Nang makabalik kami sa sariling table ay kaagad naming ibinigay ang atensyon sa babaeng nagsasalita.
"And now! Let's call our birthday boy with his future wife!! Mr. Noah Dawson and Ms. Miryah Baratheon!!"
Malakas na palakpakan ang sumalubong sa dalawang taong naglalakad papuntang gitna, a genuine smile and a fake smile.
Halos lahat ng guess ay nagpalakpakan habang nakangiti ng malaki at pati ang stuff maliban sa dalawang tao, at ayon ay ang nakaupo sa guess table at ang lalaking nakatayo katabi ang mga stuff na nakatingin lang sa dalawang tao na nakatayo sa gitna.
And those two people who doesn't seems to be happy in the event and have a same thoughts.
What a pain...!!
MABILIS ANG BAWAT tipa ng mga daliri nang lalaki habang nakatingin sa laptop nito. That asshole who's genuine smiling right know planted a fucking bomb in the house where his future wife's adoptive family is there. Someone wants to ruined his highness plans and told everything about it to that asshole, and that man eventually move fast, he takes order to all his underling to plant bombs around the house and now his highness can't take any move because that asshole block all her connections.
I'm worried, yes but the queen is in there so I know she will notice that something is wrong, and he only can do now is to save his highness adoptive family.
He's heart are beating so fast as he type on his laptop to stop all the planted bomb's around. The family doesn't even know that their lives is on the line right now, but it's fine as long as he stopped all the bombs timers.
Pigil hininga ang ginawa niya habang hinahabol ang oras nang bomaba, marahas siyang huminga nang matapos niyang patigilin ang oras nang bomba.
"Fuck!" I hissed and stand up grabbing some bottle of water.
Nang matapos iminom ay kaagad niyang tinawag ang mga henchman na siyang nagbigay sakanya ng impormasyon.
"It's done, now I want you to call the queen and fucking help the high priestess." I clench my fist.
But the man on the other line just chuckled. "Don't fucking order me around menace, your not the queen to order me around."
I gritted my teeth. "And don't fuck me around Eagre, don't try me, if you don't want to meet menace."
But of course, that asshole wouldn't be afraid, that man is not called Eagre for nothing. Eagre just laughed even more making me pissed.
"Oh, I'll love you to try." Kapagkuwan ay tumawa ito. "Ah, fine looks like your not in the mood for playing. Don't worry your high priestess will eventually be save." And the call ended.
He just sigh and rubbed his face with his palms. "That asshole." I murmured. If only the high priestess didn't ordered me to watch the family he's already in there.
Eloise is staring at Miryah, something is off, again.
"Congratulations, Ms. Baratheon, Mr. Dawson!" Mom and Dad congratulate them.
Sumunod na bumati ay sila Tito Karter at ang mga anak nito. Tanging kami lang ni Tyler ang hindi mag salita o ngumiti manlang, I'm just staring at Miryah as I looked at her hands.
I was right, something is off. Miryah is giving a signal.
I sigh and smiled. I need to be a best actor again.
"Congrats Mr. And Mrs. Dawson!" I cheerfully said. Halatang nagulat si Noah at tumawa nang mahina.
This asshole is obsessed freaked. Halata namang gustong gusto niya ang sinabi ko.
"Thank you, but we're still not married." He chuckled.
I shrugged. "Well? Doon rin naman papunta iyon." I smiled.
Napakamot batok lang ito bago ngumiti. This is my chance.
"Can I talk to Miryah?" I asked. "In private."
Halatang natigilan ito bago tumingin kay Miryah na nakakunot ang noo. He looked hesitated but he nod and give me Miryah's hand.
"Thank you!" I beamed at him.
Mabilis kong hinila si Miryah sa loob nang Isang kwarto na wala namang tao. I look at her. "What is it? What happened?"
Miryah gritted her teeth and pulled her hair. "That asshole! Someone tell him my plan and of course! That someone who told him my plan is one of the reconnaissance! But I don't fucking know who?!" She rubbed her face with her palms. "He even planted a fucking bomb to my adoptive family! All over their place! I don't even know if menace already turned it off!" She furiously said.
I deeply sigh. "I will call menace, calmed your self down Miryah. Because if you're not calmed your plan won't work, just trust people-that you know you can trust- around you." I calmly said.
I called menace and I look at Miryah she's trying to calm down. That's good, she should calm before going back in there. Mabilis na nagsalita ang lalaking tinawagan ko nang sagutin nito ang tawag.
"How's the high priestess?"
I can't help but to giggle. "She's fine, she wanted to ask you something so I called you."
Ibinigay ko ang phone kay Miryah na mabilis niyang kinuha.
Miryah held the phone and put the phone to her ears. "How's my family, menace?"
Hearing his highness trembling voice he answered. "They're fine milady, you can calmed now. And if something happened please call me as fast as you can okay?" I mumble softly.
Miryah smiled and nodded like menace is Infront of her. "Okay, thank you so much menace, I will leave to you my family. Please protect them."
"Don't worry milady, that's actually my plan."
Miryah bid a goodbye and give the phone to Eloise who's smiling while staring at her.
I blink. "Why are you smiling to me like that?"
Eloise just shook her head and giggle. "Nothing." Kapagkuwan ay bigla itong nagseryoso. "Now that you already calmed can we proceed to your plan, Miryah?"
I smiled. "Of course, this mess is the center of my father and I will the one who cut this all shit." Now that my adoptive family is now safe I can finally proceed my plan.
I will fucking kill you, Noah Dawson.
Eloise and Miryah gracefully walk towards at the table. She sat on the chair and look at Braxton who's looking at her.
"What?" I mouthed.
He shook his head. "Your so gorgeous, your dress is making more it beautiful." He mouthed.
My cheeks heated up. Damn, this is not the first time he compliment me but something of him making my heartbeats makes it crazy.
"Your dress is so pretty."
Napatingin ako kay Elaine. I smiled at her.
"Thank you, yours too. And of course you."
She chuckled. "Can I ask? Why did your accessories and your Mom's have a same design?"
My smile grew bigger. "Because it's have a meaning."
Her twin sister frown. "What kind of meaning?"
I smiled sweetly. "It's a secret, you will know it later."
They just both nodded even though I can see curiosity in their eyes.
Yes, it's indeed have a meaning. Especially their accessories. Red rhinestone water drop decor jewelry necklace and earrings for me and pink diamond water drop decor jewelry necklace and earrings for my Mom.
The water drop have meaning and I'm so excited to see that later.
Busy ang lahat sa kanya kanyang usap at ang lakas nang music! Ni hindi ko na nga alam kung paano sila nakakaintindihan o baka naman ay binabasa nalang nila ang buka ng bibig ng isat isa.
I'm just looking at my nails while everyone is chilling, may mga nagsasayawan na sa gitna madami dami din Meron namang pinili nalang makipag usap at ang iba... Errr mga naghahalikan.
Ako lang ata ang walang ginagawa at nakatingin lang sa sariling kuko na para bang may iniintay na which is totoo.
Suddenly the music starting to fade in short unti unting humina ang musika, lahat ay napatingin sa pintuan kung saan may dalawang tao ang naglalakad palapit sa mga magulang nang groom.
I saw how Noah's face field in shock and his face paled but like a flashed his face darkened while looking at the two persons.
A man and a woman walking towards to his parents. I saw how he gritted his teeth and clench his fist while looking at the two.
Ah, I wasn't satisfied with his reaction. But it's okay, there still something to blow up anyways.
Murmured field the mansion while looking at the person smiling. I saw how Noah's parents stilled while looking at the woman smiling widely while looking at them, like their reaction is the most satisfying reaction to see.
Finally, Miryah will finally free from this asshole.
The woman roamed her eyes, like she's looking for someone, and her grey eyes landed on Noah who's currently walking towards to where their standing.
I look at Miryah, she's smiling. So I smiled and look Infront like we're watching some movies.
This is going to be exciting.
