Deans POV
I hear my alarm go off, beeping loudly as I immediately shut it off. I sit up in my bed, seeing the alarm clock read 6:00am and I get up out of bed, walking over to my closet where I pick out my suit for today.
Minutes later, I make myself a cup of coffee from my espresso machine and take a sip from it. Now dressed in my business suit, my hair slicked down, I leave my home and cross the street to my silver Toyota Prius.
Once inside the car, I start it up and rock music blares from the stereo. I look at it confused then change the station. "NRP, morning addition. It's time for this waste and-" The radio says as I smile and drive off.
******
After pulling up to my work place, I walk in and go towards the elevator. I enter and push my floor button when I hear hurried footsteps. "Hold the door!" A female voice says and before the door can close, I hold my arm to stop it.
A woman runs up to the elevator and walks inside it. "Thanks." She says to me as I look her over. She's very beautiful, her brunette hair curled in soft waves, very light makeup on her face. Her outfit consisted of a very tight black skirt, black wedges, a black blazer and a white shirt. My lips tilt as I see a tattoo on her ankle.
She holds a bag on her shoulder, holding the strap as I notice she looks a bit stressed. "Rough morning?" I ask as she glances over at me. "You could say that." She says, her voice strong, as the doors begin to close and the lift begins to move upwards.
"You wanna talk about it?" I ask politely. "Well, aren't you a nosy one?" She says sarcastically as my eyes widen a bit. "Just a question." I say and she scoffs. "Just not looking forward to meeting my new boss." She says and I frown. "Why not?" I ask.
"I heard he's a pretentious asshole." She says as I raise my eyebrows at her. "He's probably gonna tear me a new one." She says. "You never know. He could be understanding." I say and she scoffs. "With a name like Dean Smith, I doubt it. I'm sure he's a hard-ass." She says as my eyes widen. This woman is my new assistant.
"And 'Dean' to me, sounds like someone who gets a lot of women. The type of man who doesn't know how to keep it in his pants for more than a day." She says as I raise my eyebrows, a bit taken aback by her. "And that last name, Smith. Sounds more like a made up name for a teacher in a sitcom." She continues as I turn my head away, smirking knowingly.
The elevator dings and the doors open. "Well, I hope you survive your first day." I say to her, stepping out of the elevator. "Thanks." She says as she steps out. The two of us walk down the hallway, until we reach my office, where I stop at the door and take out my keys.
The door clicks as it unlocks and I turn my head to look at the woman, smirking. "Off course you're my new boss. Typical." She says but doesn't seem embarrassed. "I'll see you in my office now." I say, turning the knob and pulling the door open, holding it open for her first. "Thanks." She says as she walks in and I follow behind her.
"I'm not sorry about the things I said." She says and I nod. "I suspected that Ms..." I say waiting for her to finish and give me her last name. "Carter. Anastasia Carter." She tells me and I smile. "Beautiful name." I tell her. "Yeah, I like it." She says and I chuckle lowly. I think I'm going to have my hands full with this woman.
******
The day goes on normally as I type on my computer, take some calls and have meetings. Ana would come in every now and then with some papers for me to sign and she would file away some paperwork before working on her computer.
"Net probability aside, it's the client retention rate that concerns me vis-à-vis maximising return on sales. Buzz me back once you've seen the spreadsheets." I say into my head set but I keep staring over at Ana as she works, noticing she bites her lip when she's concentrating.
Then Mr Adler walks in as I take of my headset and walk up to him. "Mr Adler." I greet. "Dean." He says as he slaps me on the shoulder. "Good stuff." He says. "Good stuff?" I ask. "Big things. Good stuff." Mr Adler says and I smile. "Good stuff." I repeat as he looks over at Ana.
"How's the new assistant treating ya?" He asks me. I look over at Ana as a small smile appears on my face. "She's good. Great actually." I say as he notices my smile. "Oh I bet she is, you sly dog." He says playfully as he slaps my shoulder then chuckles.
******
Later, in the evening, I sit at my desk with my headset on talking into it, when Ana walks in. "Oh I hear you. No, I haven't been to the gym in ages. Carrying a little bloat around myself. It's a secondary lifestyle, my man, no two ways." I say as Ana places another set of paperwork on my desk. "Alright, tell me one more time. You said lemon and- what was it? Cayenne and maple syrup, are you serious? How much did you lose?" I ask as I see Ana roll her eyes.
"Really? Okay, well I'll have to give that a try. Okay, we'll talk later." I say and take off the headset. "Trying to lose weight?" Ana asks me. "Not really. But it wouldn't hurt to take off a few pounds." I tell as I pick up a piece of paper she set down and skim through it.
"Mmm." She hums and I look up at her. "What?" I ask. "Nothing, it's just...if you can still fit into your shirts, you don't need to lose weight. Plus, it doesn't look like you need to." She tells me. "Oh really?" I ask, the corner of my lips tilting up upward. "Yeah. You look better than most of the guys round here." She says. "Well thank you." I say, smirking as I put the paper down.
"If I were to say you had a great body, would you hold it against me?" I ask, raising my eyebrows and she smirks. "You been checking me out?" She asks and I shrug lightly. "Maybe." I say even though I have. "Well, it depends. Are you just being nice, or are you coming into me?" She asks with a knowing smile. "Depends, is it working?" I ask her and she laughs. "Could be." She says.
"So, how did your first day go?" I ask her. "It's been better than some of the offices I've worked in." She says. "Well, I hope I wasn't being to much of a hard-ass on you." I say. "Okay, maybe I misjudged just a little bit. Sorry for calling you a pretentious asshole." She says.
"Apology accepted on one condition." I say as she eyes me suspiciously. "And what is that?" She asks. "I take you out for coffee." I say and she chuckles. "Going on a date with my boss? Quite scandalous." She says as I stand up and walk to her. "We'll call it a getting to know each other." I say as I stand in front of her and she laughs. "Do you say this all your assistants?" She asks. "Only the pretty ones." I reply.
"Well, you drive a hard bargain, Mr Smith." She says sarcastically as I look at her. "Okay. I'll have coffee with you. I accept your meeting." She says and I smile. "How about after work?" I ask her and she nods. "I'll see you in the morning, sir." She says slowly as she turns to walk away, and a smirk comes to my face. "Goodnight, Ms Carter." I say as I watch it leave the room, smiling to my self.
******
I continued work for a little bit longer then put some files in a case and leave my office. I check my phone as I walk to the elevator, which dings. I enter, focused on my phone, then I look over at the other person in the elevator, who is staring at me; it's a young man, who's wearing a short sleeved T-shirt that says, Sandover Bridge & Iron Inc. Tech Support.
"Do I know you?" He asks me as the elevator goes down. "I don't think so." I say to him. "I'm sorry, man, you just look really familiar." He tells me. "Save it for the health club, pal." I tell him, as the elevator dings and I walk out.
******
Sam's POV
I press a button on the phone and talk into my headset. "Tech support. This is Sam Wesson." I say. I sit at my desk, bored, as I listen to the person in the other end complain about their printer.
"Okay. Uh, did you try turning it off and then on?" I ask as I poke my vampire bobble head with my pencil. "Okay, go ahead and turn it off. No, no, no, just-just off. Alright, give it a second. Turn it back on. Okay, is it printing now? Great, anytime." I say then take off the headset, pressing another button on the phone.
"Hey." My workmate, Ian, greets me as he rolls over to me in his chair. The only guy who doesn't wear the company shirt. "Yo." I say as I turn to him. "What do you think of Mimi?" He asks me and I look over and shrug. "She's okay." I reply. "Might have to hit that." Ian says and I roll my eyes. "Oh, dude, that's totally age inappropriate." I remark. "Experience." Ian says. "Trifocals." I grumble. "There's a MILF there Sam. I just know it. Maybe a GMILF." Ian says and I scoff. "Come on." I say making him smile before he stops and looks at something.
"Check her out." He says as he points at a very beautiful woman walks past the cubicle as I look up at her. "That chick is hot." Ian says as he bites his lip but I couldn't help but think I've seen her before just like how I thought the man in the elevator, the night before, looked familiar.
"Yeah, she's very beautiful." I say. "Maybe if I can't get with Mimi, I'll try it out with that girl." Ian says and I shake my head. "Coffee break?" He asks me. "Yeah, for sure." I say. "Paul, time for a refuel buddy." Ian says to Paul, who hasn't taken his eyes off his computer. "Sorry, no time." Paul tells us. "Since when? Dude, we get paid by the hour." Ian says annoyed. "Working." Paul says plainly. "Okay." Ian scoffs and the two of us walk away from his desk.
"He seems stressed." I point out. "Freaked because he got caught surfing porn on the internet." Ian says and I turn to him. "No, no, no way. When?" I ask him shocked. "Got sent up to HR yesterday. Guess they put the fear of God in him." He says as we walk into the break room.
The microwave dings before someone takes out a bag of popcorn and leaves while I head to the coffee pot. Ian, on the other hand, goes to the supply cabinet and starts picketing packets of pencils. "Ian, dude." I say disapproving. "Just doing a little shopping. Running low at home." He tells me as I hand him a cup of coffee.
"So, Sam, had any of those dreams lately?" He asks me as I turn away. "What? Don't be like that. Come on. It's the highlight of my day." He says and I sigh. "I never should have told you in the first place." I mutter. "They're genius. Don't hold out on me, dude. Share with the class." Ian says.
"You're just gonna be a dick about it." I say. "What? No way. I won't say a word. Total respect. Go." He says and I sigh, thinking for a moment. "I dreamt that I saved a Grim Reaper named Tessa from demons." I say and Ian bursts out laughing making me turn away.
"Classic! How much D&D did you play when you were a kid? Oh, my- okay, so you- rescuing a grim reaper. That's- you're a hero. I mean, thank God we've got Harry Potter here to save us all from the apocalypse." Ian says, laughing. "Dick." I grumble. "Wizard." He says.
******
I sit back in my cubicle, filling out a form on a clipboard. I yawn, and prop my head on my hand, closing my eyes. And then I begin to have flashes of me in a fight, then me killing a demon, then me and that man from the elevator killing a striga, I think, then the woman who stakes and decapitates a vampire. I wake up in my cubicle, looking around in a fright.
******
I enter the elevator and see the man and woman and a few others inside. I try not to stare at them while the elevator whirs. It reaches a floor and everyone but me, the woman and man get out then the elevator doors close.
"Can I ask you guys a question?" I ask them as the two of them look over at me. "Look, man, I told you, I'm not into the, uh-" the man starts to say but I shake my head. "Oh dude, come on, I'm not either. I just wanna ask you one question." I say as the man looks at the woman who shrugs.
"It's just a question." She says to him and the man sighs. "Sure." He says to me. "What do you guys think about ghosts?" I ask as they give me confused looks. "Ghosts?" He asks. "Do either of you believe in them?" I ask them and the man laughs.
"Uh, tell you the truth. I've never given it much thought." The man says as the woman bites her lip. "Vampires?" I ask. "What? Why?" They asks in unison as they turn to me. "Because I've been having some weird dreams lately. You know what I mean?" I ask. "No. Not really." The man says.
"So you guys never had any...weird dreams?" I ask and the man turns to me sharply. "Alright, look, man, I don't know you, okay? But I'm gonna do a public service and, uh, let you know that-that you over share." He says as he presses a floor button. The elevator dings and the man leaves while the woman stays.
"You coming, Ms Carter?" The man calls out as the woman sighs and walks out but she turns back, preventing the door from closing. I give her a concerned look as she looks up at me. "I do." She admits before walking away, over to the man.
******
I'm in my cubicle again, the next day, addressing my headset. "Did you turn it off, then on?" I ask as I draw some vampires on a pad of paper. "Alright, well, let's try that. No, no, it's fine. I'll wait." I say as I pull up the search engine on my computer, looking josh ways before I type in vampires. I click the search image and glance over the pictures of Dracula wannabes.
"Is it printing now? Oh, that's great. Anytime." I say as I keep looking at my search. "Whatcha doing?" A voice asks making me jump a bit then I minimise the search engine and hide the sketches before turning to Ian, shaking my head. "Nothing." I reply.
"You get a email from Human Resources?" He asks me. "No. Why?" I say curiously. "Damn it. Guess it's just me, then. I'm supposed to, quote, report to HR, unquote." He says. "They're finally busting you for a snaking all those office supplies." I joke and he smiles. I hope they spank me." He laughs, then shoves his chair back to his cubicle and leaves. I retune to my search engine.
"No no no no no no. Come on. Don't do this to me. Please." Paul's voice says frantically and I take off my headset, and stand up to lean over his cubicle. "Hey man, you okay?" I ask him. "It froze." Paul says panicked as he looks over his computer.
"That's crap, Paul. They freeze all the time." I say. "You don't understand. When I- when I rebooted, everything was gone. A whole days work deleted." He exclaims. "Well, did you back up?" I ask him. "No, I didn't back up. I wish to God I backed up but I didn't. I'll get it back. I'll find it. It's somewhere. I'll find it." He says frantically. "Paul, it's okay, man. These things happen." I tell him calmly before I see the woman walking by.
I move away from my cubicle and follow her into the break room. I see her walk over to the coffee pot and starts to make her cup when I walk up to her. "So, you have weird dream too?" I ask making her jump. "Shit!" She exclaims.
"Dude, announce yourself." She says as she looks at me. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I'm Sam, by the way." I introduce. "It's fine. Ana." She tells me. "But yes, I've been having these dreams. Of me fighting these creatures with a couple of guys." She says. "How long?" I ask her. "Um...about couple of weeks ago." She tells me.
"So...do you believe in ghosts and vampires?" I ask her. "Honestly...yes, I do. Always have." She tells me as she grabs her coffee. "Same here." I says. "I'm sorry Sam, I've got to get back to work." She tells me and I nod. "Yeah, of course. Nice meeting you." I say. "You too." She says before she walks out of the break room.

Deans POV
Me and Ana sit in café, drinking coffee as we just laugh and talk. As I talk about a childhood memory, I notice Ana has gone into a daze. "Hey, earth to Ana!" I say and she shakes her head as she turns to me. "Sorry." She says. "You okay? I'm not boring you, am I?" I ask her concerned. "No of course not. I was just lost in thought, that's all." She says. "Oh yeah, what's got you lost in thought?" I ask her. "Nothing to worry about." She tells me as a song starts to play over the speakers.
I can't fight this feeling any longer
And yet I'm still afraid to let it flow
What started out as friendship
Has grown stronger
I only wish I had the strength to let it show
I tell myself that I can't hold out forever
I said there is no reason for my fear
Cause I feel so secure when we're together
You give my life direction
You make everything so clear...
"I love this song." Ana says smiling as I listen to it. "Not much of a fan for rock music." I say. "You're kidding." She says as I shrug. "It's just never really been my thing." I say. "Aw, come on. You don't like anything from Bon Jovi?" She asks and I shake my head. "Dennis DeYoung?" She asks next and once again, I shake my head. "Bob Seger?" She asks and I give her a confused look. "Who?" I ask.
She scoffs. "Wow. I don't think I've ever met anyone who didn't at least like one rock song." She says in disbelief. "Well sorry to be a disappointment." I say, taking a sip of my coffee. "Yes, it is. Massively." She says seriously then smiles to show me she's joking. She goes back to listening to the song before she starts to sing quietly.
"And even as I wander
I'm keeping you in sight
You're a candle in the window
On a cold, dark winters night
And I'm getting closer than I ever
Thought I might..."
I smile as I watch her sing. She notices me staring and immediately stops, taking a sip of her latte. "You know..." I start making her look up at me. "This song isn't so bad when you sing it." I say as she smiles. "Thanks." She says lowly.
"You know I find it hard to believe you're single." I tell her as she shrugs lightly. "Yeah, I haven't met a decent guy in a while. Well, a guy that I've liked at least." She says and I smirk. "So you admit you like me?" I say as she rolls her pretty green eyes. "You're very full of yourself, aren't you?" She asks me.
"No, I can just see it in your eyes." I tell her as she leans more on the table, towards me. "And what are they saying?" She asks. "They're saying you like me but there's something else." I say as she smirks. "Would you like to find out, sir?" She asks seductively and I gulp.
******
My door bursts open as me and Ana continue to kiss each other. Ever since we left the coffee shop, we haven't been able to keep our hands of each other. I close the door and push her back against it, gripping her hips tightly. She moans lowly into my mouth as I smirk.
"You sure you want to do this, Ms Carter?" I ask her and she nods. "I'm sure. Are you sure, Mr Smith?" She asks as I pull back, placing my hands on the door, on either side of her head. "More than sure." I whisper and I swear, I see her eyes flash a brighter green.
She grabs the back of my neck, pulling my lips back to hers as I move my hands to her thighs, and lift her up. Her legs wrap around my waist as I carry her to my room. I drop us both onto my bed, making it bounce. Her hand move to my tie as she frantically undoes and lift it off from around my neck.
I move my lips to her neck, kissing her soft skin. "You smell so good." I tell her as she chuckles softly, undoing my shirt. Her hands move underneath and she pushes the shirt off, as I drop it in the floor. Her hands run over my abs and chest as I move my hands to the bottom of her dress, pushing it up.
I move back and lift her dress all the way up as she raises her arms, letting me take it fully off. I groan in lust as see her black matching lingerie. "Fuck me." I whisper as she smirks. "I thought that's what you were gonna do to me." She says seductively and I smirk, leaning back over her.
"Definitely." I whisper against her lips before kissing her again. Her hands move to down to my trousers, undoing them before I help her push them and my boxers down. I move her panties aside as her legs wrap around my hips. I line up with her before I push in and we groan at the tightness between us.
"Fuck." I groan as I take her hands in mine, raising them above her head as I start moving my hips. She moans lowly as her eyes flutter closed. I dip my head, pressing my lips to the soft skin of her neck again. "Dean..." she moans and I smirk.
"You feel so good." I whisper in her ear as her hands clench in mine. "H-harder." She whimpers and I pull back to look at her. She opens her eyes, staring into mine as I thrust my hips harder. I groan as I feel how tighter she gets the deeper I go.
"I'm gonna cum." She moans as I feel her legs start to shake around my hips. "Good. Cum for me." I tell her, pressing my lips back onto hers. I kiss her hastily as continues moans leave the back of her throat. Her hands clench mine as she starts to clench around me.
I pull away as a loud moan rips out of her throat as she cums. I place my forehead against hers as I groan, reaching my high just after her. "Fuck." I groan as I slow down my thrusts. "Shit." She moans as we both chuckle, looking at each other. I lean down, kissing her softly as her legs relax against me.

The next day, me and Ana walk into the office together, seeing people in coroners outfits roll a body bag out of the area. Me, Ana, that guy from the lift and several other people watch. I address another suited worker.
"Something about this seem not right to you?" I ask him. "Uh, yeah, try the whole thing. I'm telling you, man, I'll never eat popcorn again." He tells me. "Yeah, right." I mutter as me and Ana share a look.
******
As I pace in my office, Ana comes in. "Hey." She says as she walks in and I turn to her. "Hey, beautiful." I say. "I looked up Paul Dunbar's file for you." She says and I nod. "And his death...it doesn't make sense." She says. "What do you mean?" I ask her.
"Well, he was two weeks away from retirement and he was supposed to have a party as well." She says and I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. "Two weeks?" I say confused and she nods.
******
Sam's POV
I roll my chair over to Ian's cubicle, seeing him wearing a yellow shirt for the first time, and working busily. "Hey, why would someone kill themselves two weeks before they're supposed to retire? I mean, Paul was two weeks from freedom. Hi should have been happy, right?" I ask as Ian turns to me in his chair. "I don't have time for this, Sam." He says firmly and I laugh. "That's very funny." I say but then I notice his shirt and attitude.
"What's with you?" I ask. "I'm working. It's important." Ian replies firmly. "HR bust your balls or something? You're wearing the shirt. Did you shave?" I ask as a phone rings and Ian answers the call. "Tech support, this is Ian. Be right up." He says then hangs up the call and turns to me. "Gotta go up to twenty two. Speak to a manager." He says, taking off the headset and leaves.

Deans POV
There's a knock at the door and I look up from my computer as Ana, with Ian by her side, walks in. "Hi, Ian is it? Yeah come on in." Is ya and Ian walks in as Ana shuts the door behind them, and me a file that Ian was working on.
"Yesterday you filled out a 445-T and no problem, just a few errors when we did your switch over to Vista. So I'm sure you're used to filling out the dash-R's, am I right?" I ask Ian, who's starting to look distraught. "Oh, no." He mutters. "No no no, it's fine. It's fine. I just need you to redo one today so I can get the show on the road with the invoicing." I say as I push a paper over the desk, smiling. Ian looks at it terrified.
"Oh my God." He says devastated. "No, it's fine. Just refile it and we're square." I assure him. "I can't believe I did this." Ian says upset as Ana and I share a look of confusion.
"I can't believe...I-I can't believe I did this." He says again. "Hey, guy, come on." I say. "No, no. It affected profits. It- I screwed up. I-I can't- I can't- I am so sorry. I- how could I do that? I failed Sandover. I failed the company." Ian exclaims upset. "Ian, calm down. It's not a big deal." Ana tells him. "No!" Ian shouts before he runs out of the room.
"Ian? Ian, hey." I call out as me and Ana follow after him. We come up o the bathroom and I turn to Ana. "Stay here." I tell her and she nods as I enter the bathroom. I walk in and see Ian just staring into the mirror. "Ian, hey. Just chill out, man. Okay?" I say before I notice my breath is visible.
Suddenly, all the faucets come on even though me and Ian are the only ones in the room; all the soap dispensers as well. "Ian, hey. Maybe we should get out of here, huh? Come on. Ian. Look at me." I say as I take a few steps closer to him.
Ian turns to me as he pulls a pencil out of his pocket, stares at me for a moment then stabs himself in the neck. I stare at the spout of blood and rush forward as Ian collapses. I look up and see an old man in the mirror then turn around and see no one is standing there. Ian then goes still.
"Ana!" I scream and she rushes in. "What happ...." She says as she comes in and freezes as she sees Ian. "Holy shit." She says shakily. "Call 911. Now!" I tell her as she nods and rushes back out of the bathroom.
******
Later the coroner rolls Ian's body out, again with an audience, while I talk to a police officer and Ana stands of the side, leaning against the wall in a daze.
"No, I-I followed him into the bathroom. He was, uh- he was standing there in front of the mirror and then-" I say then I see the man from the elevator and stop. "Continue sir." The officer say as I turn back to him. "And he stabbed himself in the neck. I'm sorry, that's um..." I say max the officer nods.
******
I'm back in my office as Ana sits in the chair I'm front of my desk. "You okay?" I ask her concerned. "I should be asking you that." She says and I sigh. "I really don't know." I say as I walk over to the window and look out of it.
"Two deaths in two days..." she says lowly. "What the hell is going on, Dean?" She asks me and I shake my head. "I don't know..." I say before I turn to her. "I like you calling me Dean." I tell her as she smiles softly. "It's better than me saying Mr Smith all day." She says and I nod.
"Maybe that weird guy might know something." I suggest. "The one that asked us about ghosts and vampires?" She asks and I nod. "Call him and have him come to my office please." I tell her. "Why?" She asks. "I think...I think I saw something. So please, call him." I say as she nods and gets up.
"Yes sir." She says as my lips tilt up before I look down at my blood stained clothes and go to grab an extra shirt I bring for emergencies.
******
I button up the shirt just as there's a knock at the door. "Come in." I say as I look up, seeing the man and Ana enter. "Shut the door." I say and Ana looks at me. "You want me in here?" She asks and I nod. "Yes." I tell her and she closes the door behind them.
"Who the hell are you?" I ask the man as I turn to face him. "I'm not sure I know." The man replies. "What the hell does that mean?" I ask him. "Sam Wesson. I started here three weeks ago." He replies.
"Alright. You cornered me and Ms Carter in the elevator talking about ghosts. And now..." I say them I stop. "Now what?" Sam asks as there's a pause. "Now nothing, I, uh...so you started working here three weeks ago, huh?" I say and Sam nods. "Yeah, me too." I say before we look at Ana. "Same here. I got bumped to assistant a few days ago." She says as I unscrew the top of the bottle.
"It's the master cleanse. You tried it? Phenomenal. Detoxes you like nobody's business." I say before I take a drink. "When you were in the bathroom with Ian, did you see something?" Sam asks me and I look over at Ana who nods at me. "I don't know. I don't know what I saw." I say.
"Wait. Are you saying that you- did you see a ghost?" Sam asks. "I was freaking out. The guy pencilled his damn neck." I exclaim. "You did, didn't you? Okay, listen. What is these suicides aren't suicides? I mean, what if they're something not natural?" Sam suggests and Ana turns to him.
"So, what, ghosts are real? And they're responsible for all the dead bodies around here? Is that what you're telling us?" Ana asks him as all three of us sit down, in unison. "I know it sounds crazy, but yes. That's what I'm telling you guys." Sam says. "Uh, huh. Based on what?" I ask him.
"Instinct." He replies as I look down, shaking my head, then look back up. "I've got the same instinct." I say and Ana nods. "I think I do to." She says as Sam looks between us. "Seriously? You know those dreams I was telling you about? I was dreaming about ghosts." He says. "Yeah." I say.
"And it turns out that's there's a real ghost." Sam says. "So you're telling us that your dreams are special visions and you're some kind of psychic?" I ask him. "No. I mean, that would be nuts. I'm just saying something weird is definitely going on around here right? So I've been digging around a little." He says as he pulls some papers out of his bag. "I think I found a connection between the two guys." He says as passes the papers. Ana gets up and stands next to me as we look at them.
"You broke into their email accounts?" Ana asks him. "I used some skills that I happen to have to satisfy my curiosity." He replies as we give him an impressed smile. "Nice." We say and Sam smiles. "Yeah. Okay. So it turns out Ian and Paul both got this same email telling them to report to HR, room fourteen forty-four." He explains and I furrow my eyebrows.
"HR's on seven." I say. "Exactly." Sam says. "Should we go check this out?" Ana asks us. I'm up for it but Sam looks at her confused. "Like right now?" He asks surprised. "Uh, yeah." She says as Sam smiles. "I am dying to check this out right now." He says. "Right?" Ana and I say excited as we all stand up and leave.

We come down the corridor when we hear a man yelling and hurry to room 1444, seeing it's locked. Sam steps back and raises his leg, kicking the door open. "Whoa." I say impressed.
A shelf had fallen on a man and the three of us hurry over and lift it off of him. The old man from the bathroom appears behind Ana and flings her into a wall, then shoves me and Sam over, his hand sparking lightning. I get up and swing at the old man with a wrench. He dissipates before I could hit him. The monitor switches off and everything stops shaking. We relift the shelf so the man can get out.
"How'd you know how do to that?" Ana asks me, shocked but also looking impressed as I shrug. "I have no idea." I reply honestly.
