Deans POV
"This is the Garland file." Linus tells Ana and Sam as he hands them a folder. Then he looks over their shoulder. "Is he...drunk?" He asks them as he nods his head at me as I sway back and forth. "No." Ana replies as Sam reads the file.
"Deputy, according to this, Luther Garlands cause of death was physical trauma. What does that mean?" Sam asks. "The guy died 20 years ago, before my time. Sorry." Linus says. "Then can we talk to the sheriff?" Ana asks. "Uh, he's out sick today." Linus tells her. "Well, if you see him, will you have him call us? We're staying at the Bluebird." Sam tells him then he holds up the file.
"Mind if I take this?" He asks and Linus shakes his head. "Know what? You're awesome." I say to Linus, who looks at me confused. "Thanks. Um, y-you too, I guess." He replies. "Alright, come on, lover-boy." Ana says as we leave.

We walk inside an assistant building when I begin to speak. "This isn't gonna work. Come on, these badges are fake. What if we get busted? We could go to jail." I say panicked, as a resident walks me and startles me as Ana turns to me.
"Dean, calm down. Deep breath, okay?" She says and I take a deep breath. "Feel better?" She asks and I shake my head. "Just come on." She says as I start to scratch my arm. "Don't scratch." She tells me firmly as I drop my hand.
Eventually, we come up to an older guy and Sam walks up to him and introduces us. "Mr Garland." Sam says and the man looks over at us. "Hi uh, I'm Agent Tyler. This is Agent Perry and Agent Kramer, FBI. We'd like to ask you a few questions about your brother Luther." He says as he gestures to me and Ana.
"Let me see some I.D." Garland says. "Certainly." Sam nods as we show him our badges. "Those are real obviously. I mean, who would pretend to be an FBI Agent, huh? That's just nutty." I say and Ana elbows me. "Sorry, he's new. He gets nervous sometimes." Ana assures him as Garland looks at me suspiciously.
After a moment, Garland looks back at the badges and hands them back to us. "What do you want to know?" He asks us. "Uh, well, apparently your brother, Luther, died of physical trauma." Ana says and Garland scoffs. "You don't agree." Sam stated. "No, I don't." Garland says firmly.
"What would you call it?" Ana asks him. "Don't matter what an old man thinks." Garland says. "Mr Garland, we're just trying to get the truth on your brother. Please." Sam pleads as Garland considers his words for a moment.
"Everybody was scared of Luther. They called him a monster. He was too big, too mean looking. Just too different. Didn't matter he was the kindest man I ever knew. A lot of people failed Luther. I was one of them. I was a widower with three young 'uns. And I told myself there was nothing I could do." Garland says.
"Mr Garland, uh...do you recognise this woman?" Ana asks him as she hold up the drawing of Jessie. "It's Jessie O'Brien. Her man, Frank, killed Luther." Garland says. "How do you know that?" Sam asks him.
"Everybody knows. They just don't talk about it. Jessie was a receptionist at the mill. She was always real nice to Luther, and he had a crush on her. But Frank didn't like it. And when Jessie went missing, Frank was sure that Luther had done something to her. Turns out the old gal killed herself, but Frank didn't know that. They found Luther with a chain wrapped around his neck. He was dragged up and down the stretch outside that plant till he was past dead." Garland explains.
"And O'Brien was never arrested?" I ask him. "I screamed to every cop in town. They didn't want to look into Frank. He was a pillar of the community. My brother was just the town freak." Garland replies. "You must of hated Frank O'Brien." Sam says and Garland shakes a bit.
"I did for a long time, but life's too short for hate, son. And Frank wasn't thinking straight. He wife had vanished, he was terrified. A damn shame he has to put Luther through the same, but...that's fear. It spreads and spreads." He says and the three of exchange a look.

"Now we know what these are, road ash." I say as I hold my arm and we head to the impala. "And I'm guessing Luther swallowed some wood chips when he was being dragged down that road." Ana adds. "Makes sense. You're experiencing his death in slow motion." Sam says to me. "Yeah, well, not slowly enough, huh? Say we burn some bones and get me healthy." I say.
"Dean, it won't be that easy." Ana says. "No, no, it'll be that easy. Why wouldn't it be easy?" I ask. "Luther was road-hauled. His body was ripped to pieces. He was probably scattered all over that road. There's no way we're gonna find all the remains." Sam explains. "You're kidding me." I say disbelieving.
"Look, we'll figure something else out." Ana tries to assure me. "You know what? Screw this." I say as I start to walk away. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Dean." Ana and Sam says as they walk over to me.
"Come on. No. I mean, come on, guys. What are we doing?!" I ask them, in a shaky voice. "We're hunting a ghost." Sam says. "A ghost, exactly! Who does that?" I ask panicked. "Us." Ana says. "Us? Right. And that guys, that is exactly why our lives suck. I mean, come on, we hunt monsters! What the hell?!" I exclaim as Ana and Sam share a worried look.
"I mean, normal people, they see a monster and they run. But not us. No, no, no, we-we search out things that want to kill us. Yeah? Huh? Or eat us! You know who does that? Crazy people! We...are insane! You know, and then there's the bad diner food and then the sleeve motels. I mean, who wants this life, guys? Huh? Seriously? Do you two actually like being stuck in a car with me eight hours a day, everyday? I don't think so! I mean, I drive too fast. And I listen to the same five albums over take over and over again, a-and I sing along. I'm annoying, I know that. And you, Sam- you're gassy! You eat half a burrito and you get toxic!" I say.
"He got you there." Ana says to Sam. "You know what?" I say as I toss Sam the car keys. "You can forget it." I say as I start to walk away. "Whoa, Dean, where are you going?" Ana asks me as I turn and point at them.
"Stay away from me guys, okay? Cause I am done with it. I'm done with the monsters and-and-and the hellhounds and the ghost sickness and the damn apocalypse. I'm out. I'm done. I quit." I say as I walks away.

I sit in the hotel room, anxiously, when the door opens and Ana walks in. "We looked for you everywhere Dean. How the hell did you get here?" She asks me. "Ran." I say like it's obvious as Ana sighs and sits down next to me.
"What do we do now? I got less than fours hours on the clock. I'm gonna die, Ana." I say, as Ana stares ahead of herself. "Yeah, you are." She tells me and I look puzzled. "You're going back." She says. "Back?" I ask, my eyebrow raised.
"Downstairs, Dean. Hell. It's about damn time too. Truth is..." Ana says as she turns to me with black eyes. "You've been a real pain in my ass." She says as I look at her terrified then she throws me against the wall with a hand gesture.
"No! You get out of my fiancé, you evil son of a bitch!" I yell. "No one's possessing me, Dean. This is what I'm gonna become. This is what Sam's gonna become. This is what we want to become. There's nothing you can do about." Ana growls as she starts to choke me.
But a second later, I feel warm hands on my cheeks and I blink seeing Ana's green eyes staring at me in concern. "Dean, hey, hey, hey." She says as I look at her scared. "It's just me. It's me, baby." She tells me. "Ana?" I whisper shakily and she nods. "Yeah, it's me." She says as I wrap my arms around her, feeling her hands rub up and down my back.

Sam's POV
I sit on the Impala, outside the mill as a car drives up. The cyst shuts off and Bobby climbs out of the car. "Howdy." He says to me. "Hey Bobby. Thanks for coming." I say as I shake his hand. "Where's Dean and Ana?" He asks me. "Uh, Dean's home sick so Ana's staying with him." I tell him and Bobby gives me a knowing look. "So, have his hallucinations started yet?" He asks. "Yeah, Ana called me. They started a few hours ago."I reply.
"How we doing on time?" He asks. "We saw the coroner about 8:00am. Monday morning, so, uh...just under two hours." I say and Bobby shakes his head. "What about you? You find anything?" I ask. "This, uh, enencyclopedia of spirits date to the Edo period." He says as he gives a book. I look it over and see it's written in Japanese.
"You can read Japanese?" I ask him and he answers in Japanese. "Guess so, show-off." I retort. "Anyway, this book lists a kind of ghost that could be our guy. It, uh, infects people with fear. It's called a Buru Buru." Bobby replies.
"It say how to kill it?" I ask. "Same as usual. Burn the remains." Bobby tells me and I sigh. "Wonderful. Uh...is there a plan B?" I ask. "Well, the Buru Buru is born of fear. Hell, it is fear. And the lore says we can kill it with fear." Bobby says.
"So we have to scare a ghost to death?" I ask him. "Pretty much." Bobby replies, nodding. "How the hell we gonna do that?" I ask him. "I might have an idea. Don't think you're gonna like it though." Bobby tells me.
Minutes later, I call Ana and it rings a couple of times before she answers. "Hey, you're on speaker." She tells me. "Hey! So, uh, just ride out the trip, okay? You're- you're gonna be fine. We got a plan." I assure Dean. "What is it?" He asks me. "Uh, just a good plan, alright? Hang in there." I tell him before I hang up.
"This is a terrible plan." I tell Bobby. "Yeah, I know." Bobby replies. "I know it says scare a ghost to death, but this?" I say as he turns to me. "Hey, you got a better idea, I'm listening." He says but I don't answer.

Deans POV
I start to hear barking then the door rattles, breaking off it's hinges. Ana and I turn to see Britton entering our room. "Sheriff?" Ana asks as we notice the gun in his hand. "What are you doing here?" I ask him confused.
"Why are you two looking into Luther Garlands death?" Britton asks, angry and panicked. Then I see blood on his right arm. "Hey, hey, you're-you're sick. You're sick. You're sick, alright? Just-just like me, okay? You got to relax." I try to explain but he hits me then Ana.
"Frank O'Brien was my friend. So he made a mistake. So I didn't bust him. So what? And you're gonna bring me down over that?! No, sir." Britton points a gun at me but Ana kicks it out of his hand and they begin to fight.
"You're friend was a murderer. He killed the wrong man and you hid it. Like a coward." And tells him as they punch and throw each other around until Britton starts to hyperventilate. "Get away from me!" He shouts at Ana as he falls on his back to the ground and Ana steps away from him.
"Al, you got to calm down!" I try to assure but then he clutches his chest, he's having a heart attack. "Step back!" Britton shouts as he clutches his chest and screams out in pain until he goes limp, leaving me staring at him in utter fear.

Sam's POV
I enter the mill and look around for a few moments but there is no sign of Luther. "Any luck?" Bobby asks me through the walkie talkie. "I don't know what's wrong, Bobby. Last night he came right at us. It's almost like he's...scared." I tell him as I put down my shotgun.
"So now what?" Bobby asks. "I guess we got to make him angry." I tell him before I step up. "Hey, Luther!" I yell as I start to tear up his drawings, that are still hanging up, until the machines turn on. "Come on, Luther. Where the hell are you? What are you waiting for?!" I yell when I turn around and see Luther.
He charges at me and I fight with him. We lure him to the spot we need him as I grab a chain and wrap it around his neck. "Bobby, punch it!" I yell into the walkie-talkie. I hear the roar of an engine before Luther gets pulled backwards. I run out and see his spirit being dragged across the road by the impala until he completely disappears.
I sigh with relief as Bobby stops the car and looks out the window at me.

Deans POV
Me and Ana are still sitting in the hotel, as I get to stay calm until I hear barking again. I look down at my watch, wondering how long this plan Sam told me would take when I see something on the floor. I pick it up and sees it a bible.
I glance up at Ana, seeing her cleaning her knifes before I look back at the bible. "Hi Dean." A little girl voice greets and I turn and see a small blonde girl in a white dress. "Huh, no! No!" I say panicked as I stand up. "Dean! What's wrong?" Ana asks me as she walks over. "Yes! It's me, Lilith." The girl says excitedly before she embraces me.
"Oh, I missed you so much. It's time to go back now." She tells me and I move away from her, closer to Ana. "You-you are not real!" I say. "Who's not real?" Ana asks. "What's the matter, Dean? Don't you remember all the fun you had down there? You do remember. 4 months is like 40 years in hell. Like doggy years. And you remember every second." She says as I continue backwards from her until I fall to the floor.
"You are not real." I say as I clutch my chest. "It doesn't matter. You're still gonna die. You're still gonna burn." She tells me, smiling. "Why me? Why'd I get infected?" I ask. "Silly goose. You know why, Dean. Listen to your heart." She says.
"Whu...?" I ask. "Baboom, baboom, baboom, baboom." Lilith taunts as she hits her fist against her leg. Every time she says baboom, my heart would start to beat harder and I don't know which heartbeat would be my last. I try to stay calm but hearing Lilith's taunts and my heart beating against my chest, I didn't know how much longe until have until suddenly it stops.
"Dean!" Ana yells as I gasp and look around, seeing no Lilith and my heartbeat is back to normal. "Baby, it's over. It's over." Ana tells me as I fall forward, laying my forehead on her shoulder.

"So you guys road-hauled a ghost with a chain?" I ask as we stand somewhere outside of town, talking with Bobby. "Iron chain etched with spell work." Sam says. "Hmm, that's a new one." I say impressed. "It was what he was most afraid of. It was pretty brutal, though." Sam says and I shrug a bit.
"On the plus side, I'm still alive, so, uh, go team!" I say as I hold up my bottle of beer and Ana snorts, holding an ice pack to a bruise under her eye. "Yeah." Sam says, chuckling a bit. "How you feeling?" Ana asks me. "Fine." I reply.
"You sure, Dean? 'Cause this line of work can get awful scary." Bobby says. "I'm fine. You to go hunting? I'll hunt. I'll kill anything." I say and Bobby smile. "Aww, he adorable." He teases and we all laugh.
"I got to get out of here. You kids drive safe." Bobby says as he pecks Anas cheek and heads to his car. "You too Bobby." Ana tells him. "Hey, thanks!" Sam shouts after him as Bobby gets into his car and drives off.
"So uh...so, what did you see? Near the end, I mean." Sam asks after a moment of silence. "Oh, besides a cop beating the crap out of my girl?" I ask and Ana rolls her eyes. "He did not beat the crap out of me. I got a few good hits in." She grumbles and I chuckle, wrapping my arm around her waist, pecking her temple.
"I saw howler monkeys. Whole roomful of them. Those things scare the crap out of me." I tell him instead of what I wanted to tell them. "Right." Sam says as he shakes his head but Ana knows that's a lie. "No, just the usual stuff, guys. Nothing I can't handle." I say as I take a sip of beer, not even believing myself.
