I don't own this. This belongs to their respective owners. I make no money off of this.
"Looks like you were wrong Peter," Ned pointed out.
"Yeah, Ned, it looks like I was," Peter replied, a small smile on his face.
"Bastard," Rocket growled, barley audible. Although the people with enhanced hearing heard him.
It was becoming clear to some people that Rocket had taken a personal interest in Kaine's story, though they couldn't figure out why.
"It seems he is going to save her after all," Steve said.
"Okay, I admit it, I was wrong," Peter exclaimed.
"Yes, but you lost faith in him," Tony pointed out. "Something you are famous for not doing."
"Considering the circumstances, it seemed like a fair assumption at the time," Peter countered.
"No way is that going to take five minutes," Gamora said.
"I am Groot," Groot agreed.
"I like the doctor," Tony announced.
"He reminds me of that old guy who stood up to Loki," Steve said. "Back when we captured him in Germany."
"A brave person willing to stand up for what is right," Natasha added. "I can see why."
Loki just grimaced at being reminded of his past actions. Actions which he regretted. Suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder and looked to see Thor. Mouthing a silent 'thanks' he turned back to the screen.
"I am Groot," Groot complained.
"What did h-" Tony was cut off.
"He said he hates it when villains assume that you know what they are talking about," Mantis Translated.
"You can understand him," Drax asked.
"Yes, Drax," Mantis answered. "It seems you are the only one who can't."
"Somebody knows how to make an entrance," Tony said.
"To be fair, being a superhero, isn't it necessary for you guys to make big entrances," Ned asked jokingly.
"Fair point," Tony admitted.
Peter scoffed. "Villains rarely consider us a threat. Until we beat them, then they realize their mistakes."
"And by then, it's too late," Tony agreed.
"It does give us an advantage," Steve added.
"He claims he is not a hero, yet he acts like one," Peter said. "Saving people, stopping the bad guy."
"Don't forget you gave up on him being a hero too," MJ pointed out.
"And I have since been proved wrong," Peter countered.
"Still brash, though," Nick Fury noted.
"I doubt he will stop that anytime soon, if at all," T'Challa stated.
"I hope not," Drax randomly said.
"At least the civilians are safe," Scott said.
"From the Salamander maybe, but not the fire," Hope pointed out.
"Still safer with him gone than with him there," Scott countered.
Peter flinched at seeing Kaine try to kill him, secretly relieved when the Salamander broke free.
"I swear if he brings up Xiuhcoatl one more time, I'm going to lose it," Tony said dramatically.
"He hasn't said it that many times," Vision pointed out. "He only said it-"
"It's not about how many times he's said it. It's about how he is saying it," Wanda interrupted.
"Did we just agree," Tony asked.
"It seems we did," Wanda noted.
"I doubt those bullets are going to do much," Nick Fury said. "Someone like him is going to require a more powerful weapon."
"Like Coulson's gun," Maria suggested.
"We have no way of knowing if it exists in this universe," Fury replied.
"Even if it did, how would Kaine get it," Tony asked.
"That is an impressive display of power," Wong noted. "However, the aim is terrible." Wong suddenly smirked. "Much like you, Stephen."
"What is that supposed to mean," Stephen asked.
"You are powerful, but you lack direction. You are even more powerful than me, and even your knowledge is catching up to mine, yet you can make some terrible decisions," Wong simply stated.
Although Stephen wouldn't admit it, he knew Wong was right.
"That was actually smart," Sam said.
"You sound so surprised," Bucky noted.
"Are you still mad about the airport," Tony asked.
"Not mad, just annoyed," Sam replied.
"It was embarrassing," Bucky admitted.
"If it wasn't before, it is now," Quill joked.
"Although to be fair, he has spider based powers and his suit does have a spider on it," Peter said. "I can see why people would confuse us."
"I doubt he will ever believe it, but he did good," Steve said.
"He is good at this, being a hero," Nick Fury agreed. "Minimum casualties and property damage."
"So much for five minutes," Shuri said.
He may not be Spider-Man, but he sure does care for the people he saves like him," Peter commented.
Steve looked deep in thought. "A vigilante could help her... But she would have to look over her shoulder for people who would want her to leave. She would have to worry about ICE and others."
"Not necessarily," MJ said, getting the attention of everyone in the room. "Houston is a haven for immigrants both legal and illegal. If she could avoid them for a while and avoid getting attention drawn on her, she should be safe."
"How do you know that," Tony asked, genuinely impressed.
"I read a paper on it," MJ shrugged.
"Well as far as being safe, living with a superhero can be safe," Valkyrie commented.
"As long as they don't give their address on a national broadcast and challenge a terrorist to a fight," Pepper said.
"Not my smartest move," Tony admitted.
"There is a story there, and I want to know it," Valkyrie told Pepper.
"Later," Pepper promised.
"Looks like he finally found a place to call home," Peter grinned.
"And Houston has a hero to protect it," Natasha added.
An) Done. Please try to keep the political arguments to a minimum. What I said about Houston being a haven for immigrants is true. Just remain civil about this and get along. I will delete any comments that are clearly trying to start arguments from either side of the political arguments.
