Gary eyed the serpent a new power coursing threw him as he finally stood next to his guild for the first time in forever it felt like.
Ophiuchus stared them down moving back and forth back and forth, she was poised to strike. Yanking her body around she charged at the two dragon slayers who where protecting everyone else from her powers.
"No you don't," Lady Lucy said as she launched at the snake
"Serpent magic: poison claw,"
Lady Lucy landed on the neck of the snakes head her hand engulfed in its skin before the large snake fell down a few yards from the two boys
"No one hurts my guild babies," she snarled as the snakes tail moved viciously against the ground
"Quick get everyone out, she'll need a minute to recover before she use a spirits magic," Gary said as he looked at the Master
In flashes everyone was teleported away before leaving the dragon twins Lady Lucy Ash and Gary, and the master who fell to his knees
"I'm fine I just got winded," he said as he pushed his self back up
"We have to move fast quick everyone attack that snake,"
Ash stood back he didn't have any powers beside his keys, and with this opposite he was too scared to call Misty back out. He watched as the dragons and his master Lady Lucy and finally Gary all attacked the snake.
'I'm useless,' he thought as he stood back
'Are you now?,' a voice whispered to him
Ash's eyes widened that voice...
"Anubis," he whispered as the servant rose and started to fight back
Ash felt his knees lock in place
'You want to help don't you,' the voice asked him
"How how are you,"
'That's not important, besides you know I've always been watching over you. Now do you want power,'
"Anubis-, yes I need the power to help them, to avenge you," he said fisting his hand
'I can give you the power,'
"How,"
'Listen to what your heart tell you,'
"How will that help me, Anubis where are you,"
'I am no where but I am everywhere, I have to go now little one please be safe,' the voice faded out
"Anubis, Anubis wait no," Ash took a step like he was walking towards her voice but he stopped
He placed his hand over his heart and closed off the epic battle his guild was battling against the evil woman snake
Listen listen, he moved his hands to his side one over the next one. Breathe breath, he felt something growing in him something that made him feel like he could made a different.
Opening his eyes it looked like his once brown eyes where now dark and the stars where shinning in them
"Galaxy Magic: Star Cancellation,"
A bright attack that left sparks behind it flew towards Ophiuchus, knocking the snake back before exploding
The snake hissed out and it's body started to shake before it shrunk smaller and smaller it grew.
"Trip, Paul get to the townspeople evacuate everyone," Gary barked at the two flying figures
"Ninf," Ash called over his shoulder
The small cat walked out from his hiding spot to fly to his side, looking up at the boys eyes he backed away
"Go with them,"
"But Ninf.,"
"Ninf please," Ash turned his head no longer looking at the cat as it took off to follow behind the boys
Ash along with the remains ones in the arena looked at the cloud of dust as it cleared
"Servant magic: poison strike,"
Ophiuchus lunged out and towards the master, he body pushed bast Gary knocking him down a light catching an object on her neck
"Her key," he whispered as he landed on his butt
"Ash," Gary called out to him as he still stood on the side lines, a little winded from his first time using magic
"We have to get her key off her neck,"
"How do you wanna do that," he fired back
"We have to get in close," Gary said pushing himself up and away to run at the enemy who was engaged in battle with the master and Lady Lucy
Gary tried to get close to the opponent but she kept him at bay her magic stronger them his, Lady Lucy tried to keep her down too but with her own magic getting turned against her it was a loosing battle. Even with the Master beside them.
"Phoenix Magic: Glory Blaze," the Master shot a large flamethrower at the woman
"Star magic: Bull rampage,"
A mystical bull full of stars rammed into the woman as well, sending her into the coliseum wall
Gary took his shot to get close to her but he had. Like everyone else misjudged the woman....
"Awwwwck,"
Gary was being help up by the throat, by his own spirit, Leo. The spirit had tears pouring out of his eyes as his grip tightened. Gary's mouth started to bleed and he attempted to claw his way out of the spirits grip
"L-Leo," tears now fell out of Gary's eyes how could this be how could his spirit turn on him this way
An eerie laughter shot threw the arena as Cheryl got up, her body healing just like Trip's did.
"You really thought that would be all it took to defeat me," she smiled as door bells went off and all the spirits came to play
Two more stood next to Leo, Sagittarius and Scorpio. While the rest surrounded the arena.
"I'm just missing Aquarius to make this a complete zodiac circle," the woman said as she walked over to Ash
"No you don't," both the Master and Lady Lucy stood in her way
"You think you can stop me," she smiled at them before cutting the air with her arm and their bodies falling
"This is the magic of the one and only Scorpio, a poison that eats away your nerves. Plus with some help of the Death Melody girl soon you'll both be my dolls,"
"Run Ash, don't let her get the key,"
"Yes Ash run away, run away like a little baby," she walked closer to him, "You may have been able to use that magic attack but I can assure you you won't use it again, besides there is no one here to protect you. Your alone all over again, you will always be alone,"
She grabbed his face as she lifted him up, his eyes no longer held the stars in them. But now fear swam freely
"You don't wanna be alone do you," she cooed, a smile spreading across her face, "maybe I'll be nice and let you see your spirit again. You remember her? Anubis the spirit I killed with her own magic, that worthless dog took my gate and constellation from me,"
Ash's eye caught a glitter as he looked down, tied around her neck was a broke piece of a key, one with a odd symbol on it that could only make him think it was hers
"Now then I'll be taking your Aquarius key now," Cheryl said as she dug the key out of his key holder and held it in the air
"Now you can watch as I murder your second spirit," she started to speak again
"MISTY," was screeched across the arena as a shot of yellow yanked the key out of her hand and took off threw the arena
"Get that cat," she hissed
Soon every spirit was after the key, all trying to bring the cat down, while the guild members stayed helpless
Gary was still in Leo's grasp but his eyes where on his two other spirits as they launched attacks to get the cat.
"What has she done to you," he asked dryly as his eyes fell back on Leo the spirit now quivering
Gary's hand reached up to touch his ears before he rubbed them, the spirits grip loosened a bit
"You've always looked out for me, it's my turn and I can't even do anything," he said as Leo's grip tightened back up
"Gary, I'm sorry,"
"It's ok, it's ok,"
The spirit looked up at the boy,
"I was never alone because I had you three with me, you three mean the world to me,"
Leo felt his face get hot as tears ran down his face his grip loosening as he tried to fight the woman's magic. Slowly Gary's body slumped to the ground, coughing.
"What are you doing, don't let the boy go,"
"I will not listen to you," Leo said as he tried to get this body to respond to him
Cheryl dropped Ash as she made her way to the Leo spirit anger in her eyes and magic at her hand she raised her hand up but when she brought it down she didn't hit metal she hit flesh
Gary stood in front of his spirit, his head was low and his body was leaning till it fell.
Leo, Sagittarius and Scorpio all disappeared in flashes afterwards. Cheryl looked down at the boy, disgusted.
"You used the last of your magic to protect them and the last of your life to save them," she growled as she looked at the three keys with bloody thumb prints on them.
"NO NOOOO," Ash raced to the woman ramming into her side he dropped to his knees to pull Gary in his lap "no, don't leave me please don't leave me,"
Ash pressed his forehead to Gary's "I can't be alone I can't lose you again,"
Cheryl walked to his side, a hand placed on her hip and laughter pouring from her mouth how sad could this be, she'd never know she found it too funny
She had defeated the master of Phoenix Wing along with his wife, and now the two celestial mages she didn't have under her control laid weak before her. She turned her attention back to the arena where the spirits continued to try and take Ninf down. Attacks all fired at the cat and gaining
She was going to tap her foot but the ground started to shake and the coliseum walls vibrated,
ROOOOAAAAR
The attacks where cancelled as a bright light engulfed the arena before what looked like a mystical dragon made of stars stood above Ash and Gary.
Ash's skin was now covered in swirls, as he turned to Cheryl he laid Gary's body down as he stood up. His eyes back to before full of stars the mystical dragon turned too.
Cheryl backed up, "Impossible,"
The spirits who where still in the arena all fired attacks at the dragon now, who turned and flapped its wings.
"Ash," Ninf called as he flew to the boy landing on his shoulder Misty's key clenched in his hand
"Ninf you need to leave," Ash's voice echoed like the dragon was talking to
"Why, Ninf can help,"
"Ninf go get the dragon Twins,".
Ninf knitted his brow before leaving no one tried to stop him, Ash kept his eyes on Cheryl now shaking in fear
In a flash he was in front of her holding up her necklace with her key on it.
"What what are you going to do,"
"You have sealed your fate when you tried to harm spirits,"
"I'm sorry please," her eyes widened with fear as Ash took her key
"Galaxy Magic: Spirit Dragon Law: consolation Cancellation,"
The key broke to a thousand pieces as Cheryl Disappeared in a pain filled scream
Ash turned to look at the two dragon Slayers who now back to normal landed on the ground near the Master and others.
Ash's body leaned to one side before the boy passed out the mystical dragon disappearing.
