ooo. MOMOKO FINALLY WILL GET HER GET BACK 😍
ooo. walking towards the town with a following Ace from behind me, i held a piece of paper with the groceries and other necessities i had with some of the extra savings since I was avoiding the Casino for the time i could.
"What are we getting?" Ace asks suddenly, making me look over at him with a blink, before looking ahead as i put the list in my pockets of the shorts i wore today
"Some bread, eggs since i don't have chickens, extra ingredients to make more jam, beans, and cheese- that's for groceries, then i need a new pen" i tell him in response, "how about we get some sake to drink for our month anniversary of meeting?" He suggests with a grin, making me deadpan.
"Hey, i love me some Sake, but I'm not trying to waste my savings. Plus- who celebrates knowing someone for a month anyways??" I ask him skeptically with a brow raised as i was deadpanning.
"Cause we're best buddies"
"We aren't best buddies"

His expression made me snort as i snap my head the other way with a hand over my mouth, before calming myself and looking at him, my lips quivering as i try to look as serious as i could, "What's with that face?!"
"This? :'("
"THAT ONE-" i burst in laughter, pointing at him with my finger, "see? Only being best buddies can you react like this. And plus, I'll pay for the Sake, of course we can have something else to celebrate knowing eachother for this while." He tells me as he grins
I let a breath out as i stop the laughter, before sighing and walking again, "alright. But your paying for the sake." I tell him as i look at him as he walks by my side, and he gives me a smile. "Of course."
ooo. at the market place i was holding two pieces of bread, one in either hand with a narrowed look while ace stood behind me with the rest of the groceries i picked pretty quickly out, leaving just the bread, my new pen, and the Sake that Ace was going to purchase with his own money.
"C'mon lady! It's a great deal~" the vendor says in a rushed tone, rubbing his hands as he looks at me with a false grin. I look up at him before holding up a finger while i inspect them closely as i then lift the bread to my nose, before lifting them down after smelling them.
"Okay, i'll buy this one." I say as i choose the one on the right, that smelt fresher. The vendor let a relived breath out, "okay lady, it'll be 2 beri in total." He says, and i give the vendor just that, before taking my grocery bag from Ace and placing the loaf of bread in
"C'mon, we gotta get to the pen shop." I say to Ace, only lightly looking up at him, and he nods with a light smile as we turn and walk off
The two of us take some turns before entering into the material part of this island where the shops that have materials used for story telling are located, from shops for felt made for scrapbooks for young children, to just normal paper for books. Overall, this part of the island has no houses, only shops.
"Who knew there's so many different types of materials for types of books." Ace says, making me look over at him, nodding with a small smile as i look forward
"Yeah, theres many types or writting. From writing on normal paper, to talking about your writing, to even making ancient text on types of stone... i've doubled in many when i was younger..." i trail off as i frown around the end, my tone turning in a solum way, and i could feel Ace's stare on me.
"..." he stays silent, only seemingly eyeing me sharply, i shake my head lightly- riding me of the past feelings, "but in the end, I've decided to write on normal paper, and i love to write stories about that but this island... well, this island's beliefs are old time, so no one wants to buy some woman's writings" i say in annoyance at the end, frowning, and before i could add on, Ace cuts me off-
"That's stupid." His words make me pause as we stand outside a shop. I look up at him with my brows raised in surprise from what he had said, "huh? Wait- are you... are you serious? I'd thought you'd-"
"I'd what? Think your not as good as some other writers are just cause of your sex? I'd be supporting for your passion no matter what. Though i think it's stupid for others to think otherwise." He tells me with his usual expression
"Well i- well It's not the fact i'd think you'd act like most of these bastards... it's just that i'd think you weren't going to..." i stop as i blink, in fact, now that i think about it more seriously, Ace wasn't really the one to think about that from the time that I've known him- even though it's only been a month, it was odd.
I look at him closely for a moment, my lips lightly parted, he kept on looking at me, a small smile on his face, "look, i really wouldn't care if your a woman or a man, or even not being either- but you'd be my friend, and what kind of man would i be if i thought that just because your a woman, your less than some old man's traditions. Your my friend, aren't you?( i think your more than a friend bro ☹️🤞🏼 )" he says as he gave me a warm smile that made my eyes widen from his words, my lips lightly parted.
"Yeah... you are. I see then" i say as i look down with a small smile, and i felt my heart twist in a way, "haha! I knew we were friends!" He exclaims( bro you ruined the moment 😔 ) which snapped me out of the haze that clouded my thoughts, and i look up at him, before shaking my head and walking again, "let's go get my pen now" i tell him as he chuckles and walks by my side.
And after a while, when we got back to the house after Ace purchases the Sake, the two of us sit on the engawa where we both chat the time away. The feeling that i felt was still there for a reason i didn't know.
ooo. more weeks has passed since then, and our interactions since then were the normal. He also bragged about his younger brother Luffy, who was probably going to be a big time pirate... Ace actually bragged about some Luffy guy so much- I made him sleep outside for a couple days just so he'd shut it.
Though... I wonder if Toji would be happy about me making my first friend that wasn't him? I hope he would( Toji would be so proud of her 🥹 )at the very least. Anyways, currently I was eating lunch with Ace again. "Momoko... I'm planning on leaving soon..." Ace says, and I pause mid-bite as I stay silent
'oh...'
"You are?..." I ask quietly as I raise my food to my lips as I take a bite, and Ace nods his head as he looks at me from underneath his hat. "The shipwright here has finally finished up on my ship, and I am a pirate after all.... You've been kind to me for this time, and I'll always appreciate you for your kindness, Momoko." Ace says as he gives me a smile as he slightly lifts his head, his eyes crinkling slightly.
I chew my food as I stay silent, after all, it was kind of nice to have someone in this lonesome home and after Toji died, I didn't have much company with some exceptions every once and a while, and even that old couple never stayed in my home, only giving me money in order for the debt that they apparently owed Toji for the fact he helped them out when they had hard problems financially.
"...Alright then Ace... have a good journey..." I tell him quietly as I return on eating, acting my usual way.
Ace eyes me as my head was lowered as I stay silent as I finish my meal. After I stand as I turn towards the door that leads to where my garden was.
"I'll be back..." I tell him quietly, and He eyes the back of me, but I dont wait to hear anything I walk towards the door. 'Why would I feel disappointed?... I only knew him for 5 weeks...' I think as I force my quivering lip to stop by biting on it as I let a heavy breath out from my nose as I open the door of my house, and my eyes widen at the sight of my garden.
My garden, the same one that Toji took care of and lured me into doing the same thing, was destroyed. The tulips that Toji would take care of, the same ones that Toji loved were all squashed and ripped from the ground, all the Cherry trees were ruined, and much more. The only evidence that it wasn't a animals doing, was the words written in ink, that stated, "since you wont marry me, then how about I teach you a lesson? Of course, i'll forgive you at the towns square." And I already knew just who it was.( MF YOU DIDNT HAVE TO DO THAT (i wrote him to do that) 🤨)
I tighten my fists up as I walk to the destroyed tulips, 'their barely even salvageable... only one of them has its seeds still intact...' I pick up one of the petals of the ruined Tulips, and I tighten my hold on it as I grit my teeth. "Momoko-" I hear Ace call out as he walks out the door, but he cuts his words off as his eyes widen in shock at the destroyed garden.
Ace narrows his gaze at the sight of the writing, "Momoko... i'll be back-" Ace goes to say, "no... I'm going to deal with this matter on my own..." I say as I stand and I turn as I walk away with tight hands, Ace looks at my back as I walk away with harsh steps as I have tight hands. I grit my teeth, 'damn bastard... its one thing to bother me... but destroying the things that Toji loved...' I storm.
"Momoko... you'll get in trouble, right?"
I stop as I look over at my shoulder at him, and I eye him as he had his head lowered, and I eye him as he had a shadow casted over his gaze. "Yeah... I'll probably get kicked out... I'll figure things out after..." I tell him and he seems too watch me as I return on my descent towards the man at the towns square, of course I wasn't going to ask for his forgiveness. No way in hell would I ever do something like that.
"...I'll see you..." He says, and I just barely hear it, but I brush it away as I depart with a frustration in my step.
As I walk, I begin approaching the back of Monoma. "Monoma... you asshole!!" I bark at him as he turns, and then- his face is met with a strong punch to the face, making him stumble back a distance as he loses a tooth. "You- you bitch!! How dare you hit a man?! Your- your just a woman!!" Monoma yells as he takes a step forward, I tighten my fists up as I had my head lowered as he takes some more steps forward.
I grit my teeth as I lift my head up, "I dont give a damn about men or this, or Women have to be that!! You can keep all that shit to yourself! I love myself, when I'm kicking ass!!" I yell as I take a side step just as he ran forward with his arm out with a balled up fist that was going to punch me, and I grab it, shocking him, and then I proceed to throw him over my shoulder and I slam his back onto the cobblestone- he has the air knocked out of him as some saliva comes out as he was pained.
I take a slight step back as I look down at him harshly, "I may be a woman, but I'm more of a man than you would ever be." I tell him harshly as I glare down at him as he sits up as he looks at me with a wide eyes as he trembles as he has blood running down his nose and mouth. I proceed to turn around after staring down at Monoma who looked like he was going to start ugly crying, "Dont come back!! You damn woman!!" He shouts as i look over my shoulder as I glare at him, making him freeze off as he trembles, I eye him narrowly as I turn and I go back to looking back forward as I storm off.
"Your a poor excuse of a man, Monoma."
