Lucas kept his laid back expression as he walked to the Slytherin table. Perhaps it was his confidence, his generally attractive charisma that demanded the respect of his house mates. No one even dared to ask the question they considered oh so necessary: Are you a pureblood?

Draco seldom spoke, indulging himself in the feast (elegantly as to not tarnish his noble name, of course) whilst avoiding Lucas' eyes. His two goons were too oblivious to notice anything, and Parkinson too busy gossiping.

Ron was conflicted. It would make sense to him that Lucas was in Slytherin, since that would mean that he's evil. And him in general was screaming evil. But Athanasia's still been with him all this time, and she seems to him a wonderful girl! Could it be that she's just too kind?

Ron glanced at Athanasia whose attention was on the last student's sorting, he grew a little teary eyed realising Athanasia's true kindness. Harry, on the other hand, couldn't care less. True, he had been warned of Slytherins, but he couldn't care less. Athanasia didn't discriminate even a little, and he wanted to be like her. Who knows, maybe not all Slytherins are bad.

Harry nodded to his own decision, feeling proud of himself.

And Hermione?

'This.. This is just like the novels I read! A troublemaker boy and a kind, pretty girl.. Oh, this is simply too exciting! '

She was fangirling.

And so, the feast began. A seemingly abundant food appeared on each house's table, and the students began their devouring of the food.

Athanasia was listening to Penelope as she gave her a brief on Hogwarts. From senior to junior, you could say.

Her eye caught Dumbledore's, who sent her a warm smile accompanied with a nod and a raised glass of cheer. Athanasia returned the gesture. She also noticed him doing the same with someone next to her. She turned around to see Lucas, who was scowling at Dumbledore.

'Wait, since when was he sitting behind me? '

Lucas, who felt a familiar gaze on him, changed his expression to a playful one in a flick of an eye. People here were fucking blind. Heck, he could blow up the world and the hall would be too busy asking eachother about what they did during summer. Switching his seat with the one who was sitting behind Athanasia was nothing, said 'the one' was easily gaslighted by Lucas.

Athanasia recognised this face of his. She was a veteran of it, after all.

Lucas opened his mouth, a 'flattered but humble' smile accompanying his upcoming cheeky little words.

"Princess, if you really wanted to look at me that bad-- ack" Athanasia kicked his feet, her eyes threatening to hit his precious head if he tried any more.

Lucas yielded, giving her a somewhat jesty smile.

A few people who noticed their antics couldn't help but stare in awe. It was like a little crossover: the prettiest girl and boy in the hall being friends. There were little envious gazes, since they all mutually agreed that the two looked most perfect for eachother.

A one old man with half moon shaped glasses chuckled, trimming his silvery beard as he turned to the ever so prim expressioned employee of his with intentions of starting a bet. Mcgonagall sighed as she shook her head, (but she felt a slight excitement for this year as well) and muttered a 'very well.' to Dumbledore.

"Alright, first years, if you'll follow me!" Penelope said as she led the recently sorted Ravenclaws to the Ravenclaw Tower. Everyone had settled into their dorms in no time. Athanasia had two dorm mates, although their dorm consisted of four beds. The three girls altogether decided to make the extra bed their honorary wardrobe.

There was one thing that Athanasia's dorm mates realised about her, which was that she was filthy rich. Now, dorm mate-1, Aryn Glides herself didn't come from no poor muggle family. Her father owned a very profitable mine, and her mother came from a stable and wealthy family as well. But she'd decided to gladly give up her title as being the 'rich kid' which she'd had since nursery school the moment she saw what was under Athanasia's suitcase. Her many suitcases.

Dorm mate-2, Vivienne Klein, had no words to say.

Not long after, it was already midnight. Everyone had gone to sleep, except Athanasia. It was weird going to sleep without Lily's motherly smile and warm voice being the last thing she saw and heard. She missed Lily.

'I wonder what she's doing'

clink clink clink

Athanasia's ears perked up, looking towards the source of the sound-- the window on her right. Her brows raised as she saw who it was, 'Lucas..'

What was he doing here? At this time, even?

Athanasia felt a sense of deja vu.

She quietly got up and opened the window. However, it was still barred. She looked at Lucas, who lazily gazed at her as he floated in the air in a sitting position.

"Well?" She whispered, making Lucas lean back, and put a deep sleeping charm on her two roommates. Athanasia understood that they could talk freely now.

He made a little circling movement with his finger, which formed a glittering hues of gold which glided along with his fingers-- and a letter appeared between his fingers.

He flew it to her and said in a muttering voice, "A letter from that maid of yours, Lily, was it?" He wondered for a short second, but decided that he could care less. Athanasia gave him a silent 'thank you', her lips formed a little smile as she saw Lily's familiar handwriting.

She looked back at Lucas, who was resting his chin on his hand, gazing lazily at her once again. "It came a few hours ago, thought I'd give it to you tomorrow but…" he turned to face the moon; her shine was ethereal, clouds strayed away in fear of such beauty. There, the moon stood alone, sophisticated and true. Athanasia's eyes softened at the sight.

Lucas turned to Athanasia again with a subtle smirk, "I wanted to take a walk. Thought I might as well give it to you on the way."

Athanasia's hummed quietly in understanding, her eyes fixated on the lady of the night sky who presented herself before her. "You're gonna continue your walk, then?"

"Hm? Wanna join me?"

Athanasia, in a trance, let out a lazy and exaggerated 'sure', but soon realised what Lucas had just suggested. "Wait, what?"

Lucas shrugged, "Join me. I know a spot."

Athanasia considered it, since she couldn't sleep anyway. A walk might help to tire her.

'But then again…' she slided her fingers on the bars of the window. Lucas leaned closer, eyes narrowing as he noticed her concern. He snapped his fingers, making the bars disappear. Athanasia's lips formed an 'O', remembering that this man could literally do everything.

Lucas held out his hand for Athanasia to take, changing his position from sitting to crouching. "Come on. You won't fall, I'll make sure of it."

Athanasia took it hesitantly, and as soon as she did, Lucas pulled her up. The wind blew her hair, which were initially quite strong, but Lucas manipulated them to be gentle. Athanasia looked around, realising how high they were up in the air,

"What if someone sees us?"

"They won't."

That was enough to assure Athanasia, a grin formed on her face with the knowledge that she was on air and could move freely. Lucas took her other hand and pulled her forward to make her walk. Athanasia let out a slight yelp as she was not used to walking on air and more falling in the air. Her grip on Lucas' hands tightened, making him laugh. "You're that scared? Won't you just trust me, princess?"

"Of course I am! It's my first time. And call me by my name while we're here, people might think you're intimately calling me 'princess'" The thought indeed sent shivers down her spine, Lucas hummed carefree, "So let them."

"What?"

"What?"

Athanasia's eyes twitched while Lucas merely smiled. "Now come on, Athy." He said, his tone carrying emphasis as he said her name-- nickname, holding her tightly as he pulled her away from the Ravenclaw Tower.

They passed through the forbidden forest, and after a while, they reached their destination.

A lake, a truly beautiful one at that. It was surrounded by trees and well tamed grass, rows and rows Dahlia grew at every spot where the moonlight reached. The water reflected perfectly the moon who stood in the sky. It was as if this lake was made for the moon.

Athanasia could only stare in awe at the sight, while Lucas stared at her. "Told you I knew a spot." He smirked. Athanasia looked at him with a frown, upset that he disturbed her peacefully taking in the view.

Lucas smiled, "Don't do that. At least thank me for blessing you with such a sight."

Athanasia turned away from him, "Thanks." She muttered.

"So insincere?"

"Would you like me to take it back?"

"No."

"That's what I thought." Athanasia grinned cheekily at him, which Lucas replied with a fake and somewhat irritated smile.

Athanasia watched as Lucas walked forward, his feet touching the water. Athanasia raised her hand to call him, thinking he'd fall, but he didn't. He was standing on the water. He looked at her with a 'what? ' expression.

'Right…' Athanasia thought, if he could stand on air, of course he'd be able to stand on water.

Lucas wheezed, "You really don't trust me, do you?"

Athanasia averted her eyes in nervousness, which made Lucas laugh even more. "Whatever. What are you waiting for, anyway? Come on." Lucas walked closer to her and held out his hand again, and this time, Athanasia didn't hesitate. Once her feet touched the water, it made a soft sound, as if the sound of droplets falling on water. But her feet remained fixed to the surface. Lucas pulled her to the centre of the lake,

"Wanna dance?" He suddenly asked, catching her off guard. "Dance?"

"Yeah."

Athanasia looked at the moon, and then back at Lucas with a smile. "Sure."

Snap

A soft music started to play and the two got into positions, Lucas letting out a few jokingly mocking laughs everytime Athanasia made a mistake. Though, the two dancing together under the moonlight, it was such a sight.
