I know this is not one of the usual pairings, but I just ran out of ideas rn

Seb

I was sitting at the bar and drinking something alcoholic while talking to my friend Kimi. He just came back from holidays and we wanted to meet and talk. The songs they played were mostly old, so we both started vibing when we knew some. The drinks also weren't bad and altogether the bar was one of the good ones in the city.

"So, any news?" Asked Kimi and smiled slightly.
"No, I don't think so. I had a lot of work and not much time."
"So still single?" I only nodded. He knew me for quite a long time and he even tried to help me find someone. It was all for nothing, it often ended with one night stand and after that we never met again.

Kimi was already married, but I was a bit younger, so it didn't stress me out that much.

I looked around and saw no one familiar. Then someone requested a song I didn't know that much, but it sounded good. I saw a few people leaving the dance floor and in the middle was a man. He was dancing alone by himself, everybody just looking at him. It didn't seem to bother him, because he continued dancing while the biggest smile was still on his face.

I was stunned to be honest. He looked so chill, even though some of his dance moves were off the rhythm or weird. Some people were laughing in the corners and pointing at him. I frowned at them and Kimi noticed.

"What?" He asked shortly. I knew what he was talking about even if he said only one word.
"Nothing."
The guy started singing. His voice was good, but his singing sounded bad to be absolutely honest. I'm not the best at singing myself, but I wouldn't have the courage to sing and dance in the middle of a crowded place.

"Dancing with myself oh-oh-oh..."
He sang and I didn't know, whether I should join him in his dance or not.
Fortunately the song ended, so I didn't have to make the decision. The guy laughed and walked of the dancefloor while clapping his hands. Someone was cheering for him to continue and most of the people were just laughing at the man. He whether didn't notice, or it didn't bother him at all.

When I turned to Kimi, I noticed he wasn't there anymore, probably went to get more drinks.
After a few minutes he was back.
"He's there every day, dancing, he's the club dancer or they at least call him that. Always dancing with himself. Nobody ever joins him. They even said that he's cursed to dance until somebody joins him. Don't know if that's true, sounds like some crazy fantasy movie." Kimi said and I was looking at him wide eyed.

"How do you know?"
"I asked."
"But who?"
"People?"
"No I mean...never mind."

We continued talking and drinking for a few hours and the guy from earlier seemed to disappear after the dance.

We left the bar around midnight and said our goodbyes. I sent one last glance in the bar's direction and started walking home.

The next day I was at the bar again. Same place, same time, but this time without Kimi. I was sure he knew I was here though. I waited for the man from the day before, but he was nowhere to be seen. I even considered going home, when suddenly I heard a familiar song. I was surprised, because it was the same song as before. Dancing with myself.

What was even weirder was that the man wasn't there dancing or singing. He wasn't there at all. Some people were confused and looked around as I did, but the others probably didn't go there often to realize something was wrong.
Then I heard someone sitting at the bar talking.
"I don't wanna go..."
"You have to."
"I want to be free. Not dancing here forever."
"I know, but I can't help you."

Then, in the middle of the song he appeared in the middle of the dancefloor and started dancing again with the same smile as yesterday. He started singing and the people started to leave the floor. It was weird. It looked as if the floor just started burning their legs so they had to go away.

"Dancing with myself, oh-oh-oh"
I started vibing and humming to the song, but didn't have enough courage to join the man.
"If I had the chance I'd ask the world to dance..."
He sang and looked around the crowd as if he wanted to deliver some kind of message saying that.

He started playing the imaginary guitar when the solo came and I smiled. He looked like he enjoyed it. There were no signs of him not liking it and I was wondering, whether he's such a good actor or if he really enjoys it. If I hadn't heard him before talking to the barman, I'd say the second.

When the song ended, he somehow managed to disappear same as the other day. I was confused. He couldn't really be cursed right? And if he was, what was he then? Person, ghost? I went home and couldn't stop thinking about him. Not only because of the confusion of the sudden disappearance, but also because of him.

His hair that I wanted to run my fingers through, his confidence that I would like to have, the stunning smile, or the amazing eyes he had. I didn't know who or what he was, but I suddenly knew that I wanted to save him. I knew I have to go to the bar the next day and face my fears by joining him on the dancefloor.

I was nervous since the early morning when I woke up. I thought about calling someone to go with me, but Kimi was already away in Finland and Lewis was on a date. I was so nervous in the evening that my hands were shaking. I opened the door of the bar and sit in the corner with a drink.
Maybe he won't come today...I assured myself before I could chicken out.

I heard familiar tones and the fear inside me started boiling. I couldn't move. I've never stood in front of that much people, never sang in front of anyone and never danced while someone was looking. I wanted to go home.

The guy appeared in the middle of the floor and started dancing. People were immediately getting of the floor as if they were burnt and I was glued to the spot watching his moves and listening to his voice. The song continued but I couldn't move even if I wanted to. I wanted to help him. But couldn't bring myself to it.

My phone started ringing in my pocket as I went to the toilets to answer.
"Hey Seb, i know where you are, just a reminder that you can't chicken out again, go get your man." Said Lewis through the phone. I called him earlier that day to explain what I was doing.

I splashed cold water on my face and then went out again.
"But your empty eyes seem to pass me by... leave me dancing with myself..."

He looked at me as I walked from the toilets and I couldn't break the eye contact. I was caught of guard by his beautiful yet sad eyes even though he was still smiling. I walked a bit closer, still unsure and nervous. I wasn't able to join him.
"There's nothing to loose..."
He sang still looking at me with a slight movement with his head and hope in his eyes.

People were still off the dancefloor, mostly at the bar. I walked closer to him. I knew the song will end any minute, but I was so nervou that I couldn't move faster. As I stepped on the floor, I felt immediate pain as if my feet were on fire. I stepped off and looked back at the guy. He was not looking at me. I had chance to go away and never get back, but I couldn't leave him there.

He looked so beautiful yet sad and I wanted so desperately to make him happy, to help him, to save him.

I stepped on the floor again and moved fast to him. I stopped a few feets away from him as he stopped dancing and turned to face me. The song nearly ended as we stood there. My feet were burning and my whole body felt like on fire, but the guy looked so genuinely happy even with the tears in his eyes, that I couldn't just get back.

"Hey, wanna dance?" I asked and then the burning stopped. The song changed, lights went off and there was a slight red flame in front of me which seemed to get right from the guy. People got back to dancing as the music changed to some ABBA song and when the pale light got back, he wasn't there.

I walked off the dancefloor to the bar and sat there for a few hours hoping the guy would somehow magically appear. He didn't. He was gone as the previous days.

I went back to the bar the next day at the same time and did the same for the whole week. He wasn't there. The barman tried talking to me, but I sat there in silence as if I lost my voice and drunk some kind of beer, but I wasn't able to feel the taste.

"Hey, hey, you!" Someone waved in front of my face.
"I've been trying to talk to you." I turned to face the person with familiar voice and saw a smiley face of the club dancer. His hair was messy but looking as good as ever and he had mischievous light in his brown eyes. I was amazed. From this close look he looked almost angelic.

"Thank you. Can I buy you a drink for saving my ass back then? Don't know how long I'd be dancing there if it wasn't for you." I smiled.
"You welcome. I'm Sebastian." He shook my hand while smiling and looking straight into my eyes in which I got lost immediately.
"Daniel. Nice to meet you."
