The meeting between the Proxies hadn't gone great. No, actually, it sucked.
Brian wouldn't take anything seriously, Toby only seemed interested in learning about [----], Kate basically ignored the whole thing, Scribe wasn't allowed to talk, and Ruin couldn't get a word in above Tim- well, being Tim.
By the end of it Ruin had given up entirely on trying to explain her friend to her coworkers, opting instead to explain the situation directly to The Boss. Which led her to where she was now.

I'm literally in love with my own writing of the characters even though i still haven't really fleshed anyone besides ben out <3
also, I may be losing followers and/or readers for this, but my portrayal of Masky and Hoodie is pretty different from the fandom norm. I mean, they're two college guys. yeah, Tim may be a bit (lot) cranky, but at the end of the day, they both are immature still-in-school dudes who'd probably make crass jokes and such. and I just really think that, if you watch the Marble Hornets, the quote on quote "fandom/fanon approved masky and hoodie" is kinda cringey..... but i do like some aspects of it, so yeah, Brian won't talk much. But, he is a douchebag when he talks sometimes. thas just life :P
