━━━━━━━━━━ Effie is sitting in between you and Peeta as a car is driving the three of you over towards the train station.
"You two are in for a treat. Crystal chandeliers. Platinum doorknobs and it flys. We'll be in the Capital in less then two days-"
Effie's voice fades out in your ears as you look over at Peeta who can't help but let his tears fall down his face making your heart drop.
You walk onto the train first and it's probably the cleanest thing you have ever seen.
As you walk in you touch the silver table next to you that has a bowl of fruit sitting ontop next to cakes and sweets and lots of baked goods that are sitting on trays.
You turn your head up to see a dining table with blue velvet chairs that had been set with silverware. You then look to see four arm chairs with a coffee table in the middle of them.
"200 miles per hour, you can barely feel a thing" Effie says as you sit next to Peeta in the arm chairs "I think its rather a wonderful thing is about this opportunity... That even though you're here and even though it's just for a little while. You get to enjoy all of this"
The two tributes just stare at the lady as she gives them a smile.
"I'm going to find Haymitch and Katniss" Effie says before standing up "Haymitch is probably in the bar car"
"You even met him? Haymitch?" Peeta asks you making you close your eyes "You've obviously met Katniss before"
You think to yourself in your head to not get close to Peeta, you're going to die, there is no point in getting close to him now.
"You know, (y/n), he is our mentor. He did win this thing once. Look! You know if you don't want to talk, I understand. But I just don't think there's anything wrong of getting a little bit of help" Peeta says making you look to him
You keep remembering the scene in your head of the two of you outside the bakery.
You keep looking Peeta in the eyes only for him to turn his head away from you with a small blush on his cheeks.
The door opens in front of you and Katniss walks in making you jump up.
"Katniss" you breath out running towards your best friend as she pulls you into a hug
"Are you okay?" Katniss asks hugging you back "I can't believe you did that"
"I wasn't going to let Lily fight in these games" you say pulling away
"Probably the bravest thing anyone has ever done" Katniss tells you
"I'm going to die, Katniss" you say sadly
"No you're not. I'm going to help you win" Katniss tells you as she pulls something out of her pocket "I got this for you, it's good luck"
"How do you know it's good luck?" you ask as Katniss hands you a gold pin of a mockingbird
"Because i'm telling you it is" Katniss says making you chuckle as she pins it to your dress
"Congratulations" Haymitch says walking in with a glass in his hands and he goes to the bar cart "Where's the ice?"
"I don't... I don't know" Peeta says as you sit back down next to him
Annnoyed Haymitch grabs the bottle of alcohol and comes to sit down next to Katniss in front of Peeta.
"Okay, so uh... ...so when do we start?" Peeta asks sitting up
"Whoah. Why so eager?" Haymitch asks him "Most of you aren't in such a hurry"
"Yeah. I wanna know what the plan is. You're our mentor, you're supposed to-"
"Mentor?" Haymitch asks cutting him off
"Yeah. Our mentor is supposed to tell us how to get sponsors and give us advice" Peeta tells him
"Oh, okay. Ummm... Embrace the probability of your immanent death. And know, in your heart... that there's nothing I can do to save you" Haymitch tells them
"So why are you here then?" you ask him
"The refreshments" Haymitch says holding up his glass
"Okay, I think that's enough" Peeta says and goes to grab the drink
Haymitch snaps and punches his bare foot onto Peeta's chest making his back sit the back of the chair.
"You made me spill my drink over my new pants" Haymitch says to him "You know... I think I'll go finish this in my room"
"He's gonna come around" Peeta says standing up
"What? It's no use" you say to him
"I'm gonna go talk to him" Peeta says following Haymitch out of the room
"Please tell me you can help us" you say looking at Katniss
"Of course i can"

It's the next morning and you are still wearing the same dress as the day before, your grandmother's dress.
You walk over towards the same cart as before to see Haymitch and Peeta talking at the table while Effie is fixing her makeup and Katniss is looking out the window.
"You'd freeze to death first" Haymitch says to Peeta
"No, because I'd light a fire" Peeta says back
"Now that's a good way to get killed" Haymitch says as you walk in
"What's a good way to get killed?" you ask them
"Oh! Joy. Why don't you join us?" Haymitch says looking at you "I'm just giving a life-saving advice"
"Like what?" you ask sitting at the head of the table
"I wa... I was just asking about how to find shelter" Peeta fills you in
"Which would come in handy if in fact, you are still alive" Haymitch says looking down at his plate
"How do you find shelter?" you ask him
"Pass the jam" Haymitch says to you
"How do you find shelter?" you ask him again
"Give me a chance to wake up, sweetheart. This mentoring is very... ...taxing stuff" Haymitch says pulling out a flask "Can you pass the marmalade?"
As Haymitch puts his hand on the table you slam the butter knife in between his thumb and pointing finger.
"That is mahogany!" Effie says from behind you shocked at you actions
"Look at you! Just killed a... place mat!" Haymitch says pulling the knife out
"(y/n), calm down" Katinss says walking over to the table
"You really wanna know how to stay alive?" Haymitch asks you "You get people to like you. Oh! Not what you're expecting. When you're in the middle of the games... ...and you're starving or freezing, some water, a knife or even some matches can mean the difference between life and death. And those things only comes from Sponsors. And to get Sponsors, you have to make people like you. And right now, sweetheart? You're not off to a really good start" he tells you
"There it is" Peeta says getting up and looking out to the Capital "It's huge. That's incredible"
It suddenly goes all dark as the train goes into a tunnel making Peeta look back at you confused.
The train then pulls into the station that is full of people smiling, clapping and waving at the train. Peeta keeps looking out the window smiling and waving back them.
"Come on. Come on" Peeta says smiling at you
"Better keep this knife. He knows what he's doing" Haymitch says handing you the knife back
