I lay in the ditch, thinking over what I did to Comet. I felt awful. I had literally grabbed their arm to see their private scars! I felt like the worst person in the world. If I ever get out of this hole I am apologising to them so hard. I tried to climb my way out, using the dagger like an ice pick, and just ended up falling again. It was a further drop than I expected, about six feet down. Same as a grave, I thought. No, I am not thinking like that, I am getting out of here. I just don't know how yet.
