Akshara didn't sleep that night. Her daughter's voice haunted her
"Was it that you loved him more than me or you loved his father more than my father ?"
She has continuously tried to convince herself all these years that whatever she did was for Abhir's sake. She has kept her guilt at bay not letting it consume her. For she knew if she let the guilt surface it would have gobbled her completely and she could not afford it for abhir . She could not leave Abhir be in Manjiri's care. She married only for Abhir. Her passions, her desire everything died with Abhinav, the man who filled her life once with colours. She knew she betrayed him. She could not take care of his child , not giving the love she deserved hence she used Abhir as her shield.
So when she heard the confrontation between Abhisha and Abhir her heart sank. It looked like the arguments she and Aru used to have in their teenage years. Abhir was like Arohi blaming Abhisha just like she was blamed . Arohi has changed now but by the time she did damage was already done.
Will Abhir be like her too ? She had to talk to Abhir . She won't let her son walk on the same path of hatred .
She rolled on to the other side and saw Abhimanyu. He was still sleeping, he usually didn't sleep that late but today he looked so peaceful. She had seen earlier how he and Ruhi came hand in hand.
She was glad they forgo their differences. His confession played in her mind. Why did he confess after all these years ? They have not been a couple since years. They just married for Abhir then why would he say that last night ?
Abhimanyu was braver than her. She knew he visited Abhisha when she was young but Akshara could not gather the courage . She was scared that if she saw her daughter once her resolve would crumble. Her daughter was off without her anyway , she didn't need a coward as her mother.
She stared at the vermillion in her hands , the black beads of the mangalsutra striking against her pale neck. It was wrong of her she knew , she was betraying both Abhinav and Abhimanyu. Being Abhimanyu's wife while having Abhinav in her heart.
Arohi used to say right. She was spineless, not bold enough to take right decisions. But it was too late to correct anything. The damage was done. She has lost her husband and daughter. And the man she was currently married to didn't even come close to as her friend.
Even though she started the day gloomily, she was excited to watch Abhimanyu and Ruhi rekindled today. They would talk as before and she would get some familiarity back.
So she was utterly shocked when a hysterical Manjiri rushed downstairs screaming that Abhimanyu was not waking up.
Everything happened in a blur afterwards. All of them ran to their room. Arohi checking him followed by all the doctors in the family, trying to wake him up. Manjari crying like a hyena in the background.
Two hours later Akshara found herself sitting on the floor as Abhimanyu was wrapped in white lying on the floor.
It was a heartattack, Mahima has said , heartattack during his sleep, the most peaceful way for someone to die .
. A sobbing Manjiri shaking Abhimanyu's shoulders and calling for him, getting consoled by Shefali and Mahima .She saw Ruhi now hugging Arohi and crying her hearts out . Abhir was standing in a corner wrapped in Kairav's arms. Manish and Suvarna on the side standing silently.
Manjiri grabbed her hand and pulled her . "You ... it's all because of you ".
Akshara stood dumbfounded. What did she do now ?
"You killed my son , you did you killed both of my sons , you took them away from him."
As she made her shake vigorously.
A crying Abhir interrupted her and stood infront of Akshara . He held her by the shoulders to shield Akshara " Dida stop please I know you are sad but control yourself it's not Mumma's fault." Abhir shouted.
"No no no" Manjari screeched " It's her fault it is " Her sobs echoing with her each word " She never accepted my Abhi as her husband , she didn't " She pointed towards Akshara " Look at her even now she is not crying".
Akshara raised her fingers to check. It was true . She wasn't. Abhir looked at her and she knew what he thought. He thought his mother was in too much shock to cry. His eyes were pained , sympathetic and pitiful .
But that was not the case. She has not even realised that she wasn't crying. And truly she didn't even want to. She has seen so many deaths in her life that it didn't matter anymore. She has learnt her lesson that crying won't bring anyone back. Because if so she would have had her parents, she might not even have met Abhinav because Neil would have been alive or maybe she would have, Abhimanyu was impulsive perhaps he would have given her divorce for some other reason.
Now it made sense . Abhimanyu's confession last night. He would have known this that's why he said it. She was jealous of him, he was free now from all this he could rest in peace but she had to live.
She looked at Manjiri and sighed. At this point if even a volcano erupted it was Akshara's fault.
Manjari was still shouting uttering nonsense which Akshara had no interest in. She was so tired that she wanted to sleep and not wake up.
A furious Ruhi came in between. " Dida please just shut up! Okay! Just shut up !". Everyone were shocked .
Ruhi however pissed off she might be she has never raised her voice against elders.
"Ruhi beta..." Manjari forwarded her hand to touch her but Ruhi battled it away. " Please Dida just cut the drama "
Akshara realised Ruhi looked tired too. The child has sobbed a lot . Her eyes were red and she looked extremely sick.
" What are you blaming Masi for ? Dida " Akshara looked at her in surprise. Masi ? Either Ruhi slipped in the moment or deliberately called her that she didn't know.
Ruhi continued " You should search a groom for her otherwise your grandson's happy family would break".
"Ruhi" Abhir growled but Ruhi now turned towards her " Abhir why are you not forcing Masi , blackmail her like last time to marry someone or poor Abhir's family will break" She cooed and mocked him at the end.
Abhir was so startled that he could not speak.
Manjiri again started " Ruhi what are you saying Abhir's happy family is with this family with my Abhimanyu . He is this family's blood"
Ruhi laughed her head falling backwards "Happy family ? " She taunted " No Dida it's not Abhir's happy family , it's your delusional family, your toxic family, your selfish family ".
"Ruhi you..." Before Manjiri could finish her sentence she swinged a bit and fainted in Abhir's arms.
Simultaneous shouts of "Dida, "Chachi" and "Manjiri ji" could be heard.
Ruhi spread both her arms, looking at the ceiling exasperated she muttered loud enough for everyone to hear " Here we go again with another drama "
As soon as Manjiri was taken to her room by Shefali and Mahima , Abhir marched towards Ruhi and held her by elbow " What the hell, Ruhi ? Can't you see what Dida's condition is ?"
Ruhi jerked her hand off and stood defiantly staring into his eyes. Carbon copy of Arohi , Akshara thought.
" Yes Abhir I can clearly see she has a mental condition that needs to be treated."
"Ruhi" Ruhi ignored her mother's warning for her to stay quiet and continued. " No I will speak today, everytime only Dida speaks in this house, today let me speak, Dida's all demands are fulfilled,why? because she is sad , she is a mother"
She snapped her fingers infront of Abhir's face " Well news flash Abhir just because she is mad doesn't give her rights to blame others and neither do you get the right "
"What do you mean?" Ruhi scoffed at Abhir's question" Even you can't blame Abhisha for all your misfortunes "
A muscle ticked in Abhir's face and stormy rage arose within him " Abhisha " His voice was low and angry " It's all because of her , she should have died, she brought bad luck she is "
He couldn't continue as he was stopped by a loud slap on his cheek . Abhir's hand flew to his cheek where hot red fingerprints were imprinted.
" Enough, I won't hear a word against my daughter now " Abhir was shocked on Akshara's outburst.
Akshara regretted. She should have slapped him way before. Maybe he would not have become so insolent then.
"Mumma" Abhir whispered in a small voice still with shock.
"Enough" Arohi stepped in this time " Let's talk after we cremate Abhimanyu, that is what is important now ".
Abhimanyu's body was carried by Abhir, Kairav , Parth and Shivansh.
Akshara sat on the bed , the same bed where Abhimanyu died . She stared at the spot. He was free , she was not.
Will he meet Abhinav and Neil there ? What would be answer them ? Especially Neil ? Whose daughter he had ignored.
Akshara knew even if he was free from this world Abhimanyu would never get free . She and him were same. Their sins too large to be forgiven . Their souls too black for redemption.
A/n - Abhira fans think I am portraying Abhimanyu as a bad character, Akshnav fans think I am showcasing Abhimanyu as a good character . I am doing none.
These were perspectives of Akshara, Ruhi and Abhisha , they think Abhimanyu is good not me and for Abhimanyu pov ofcourse he victimizes himself.
Though in my opinion I think Abhimanyu is regretting even in serial and even if he is not he has to handle a psycho woman like Manjiri . We get so triggered just seeing her on screen. Imagine being her son , handling her.
I have watched yrkkh since childhood. I still remember it's first episode, Akshara in white going to the temple.
I have not watched all the episodes of kaira though , I started watching S3 due to pranali. I loved her in bb . I liked harshad Chopra too but man his acting after the leap , it's too good, makers actually destroyed abhimanyu's character, they will show ml and fl getting divorced 80 times and then again getting remarried but they won't let them separate and stay in peace but then again audience like it so what could they do, otherwise harshad Chopra acting is superb.
