Also, I wanna thank you for being so patient with me. I finished my first college semester and I'm on my christmas holidays. However, during the holidays I'll be traveling and moving a lot, so writing might be a bit difficult. Brook: "Yohohoho!! A cheerful greeting!! Good day to you! I shall be imposing upon you here on your vessel! I am the dead and skeletonized Brook. It's a pleasure to meet you!!"
Franky/Zoro/Usopp/Chopper: "Don't be stupid!! What the heck is he!"
Brook: "Yohohoho!! My, my! They're harsh!"
Usopp and Chopper were equipped with crosses. The skeleton walked over to Robin.
Brook: "Goodness, aren't you a lovely lady? May I please see your panties?"
Y/N opened his mouth to say something, but Nami was faster, and threw her shoe at Brook.
Nami: *Shark teeth* "Stop that, Harassment Skeleton!!"
Suddenly, Usopp showed up with his anti-evil equipment. He tried to ward off the skeleton with it, and the skeleton slowly backed up. Chopper applauded Usopp, and they proceeded to call Brook an evil spirit. Brook asked where the spirit was, just to receive the rude awakening of the two telling him he was the evil spirit. Luffy and Y/N laughed at the whole situation.
Zoro: "Hey, Luffy!! Y/N!! What's up with this guy?"
Y/N: "You see, I was proven wrong."
Luffy: "Isn't he funny? I had him join our crew."
Zoro: "No, you didn't! I won't allow it!"
He turned towards Nami.
Zoro: "Nami!! Why do you think you went with them?! You were supposed to stop Luffy from running wild!!"
Nami: "I am ashamed. . ." She sighed while holding her head.
The skeleton laughed and walked to the closest door, before raising his arms and suggesting having dinner.
Nami/Zoro/Sanji: *Shark Teeth* "That's not for you to decide!!"
Everyone headed into the dinning room. Brook began complimenting the ship. Franky took the compliment, which got him a warning from the cook to not get chummy with him.
Brook: "But I can't wait to eat! I haven't had a decent meal in decades. I've had to endure terrible agony every day as the skin on my belly caved in until it touched my back! But since I'm a skeleton, I don't have any skin on my belly or back!! Yohohoho!! Skull joke!!"
Luffy: "Skull Joke!!" He laughed while repeating the last words that Brook said.
Y/N: "Skull jo--! Ow!!" He was about to do the same thing, but a painful bonk from Nami stopped him.
The dead man fixed his blue bow.
Brook: "As a gentleman, I adore the laid back time spent while waiting for my meal."
He said before immediately clanking his fork and knife together with the captain.
Brook/Luffy: "DINNER, YAY!! DINNER!! C'MON, BABY!!/ FOOD!! FOOD!! FOOD!!"
Brook: "Chef! For my drink, I'll take milk."
Y/N: "I'll take some choccy milk!!"
Sanji: *Shark teeth* "Shut up!! Wait quietly!!"
Luffy: "Before I forget, Kroobuckle--"
Brook: "No, I'm Brook. Um, actually, you'll have to forgive me, but I still don't know your name..."
Luffy: "Me? I'm Luffy. So before I forget, what exactly are you?"
Zoro: *Shark teeth* "Just how little do you know about each other?!"
Sanji displayed the food on the table, with it being an octopus feast, everyone began chowing down. Luffy was somehow able to maintain conversation with Brook, despite having his mouth stuffed with food. The focus of most of the people present, was either on the food or on Luffy's and Brook's interactions. So, no one was able to notice the little interaction that Y/N and Sanji had. Where Sanji sent him a look, as if asking a question, only to be answered by a shaken head and an apologetic smile from Y/N.
Time Skip
After a long explanation from Brook. The Straw Hats now knew that Brook is a shadow-less revived devil fruit user. Apparently, he had his shadow stolen, and is now in danger of being obliterated if the sun hits him. He saw it himself, and since then he has been drifting in the fog.
BrooK: "In other words, the light rejects my very existence! And my crewmates are all dead!!"
Sanji: "Your life sucks."
Y/N: "No need to add salt to his wound, Sanji! Although, to what wound? If he's all bones!!"
Brook: "Yohohoho!! I like you already!!" He laughed at Y/N's joke.
Brook: "But, you see, sir chef. I've scraped by! Scraped down to the bone! I am the dead and skeletonized Brook. It's a pleasure!"
Sanji: "Why are you so cheerful?"
Brook was suddenly thrown into a laughing fit, to which Usopp responded with his cross up in defense.
Brook: "Today is truly a wonderful day! I met people! On these dark, foggy seas, I can't tell when one day moves to the next... All of my crewmates passed away... I was all alone on a larger ship with a broken rudder... I merely rocked on the water as I drifted for several decades. I was really lonely! And scared! I wanted to die!!"
Y/N: "Brook..."
Brook: "But I'm glad I've lived such a long life. People are joy! I see you as 'joy'! Yohoho!! If only my tears hadn't gone dry, so I could shed tears of joy! You invited me to join your crew, didn't you? That made me truly happy! Thank you! But I'm afraid I must turn your offer down."
Luffy: *Eyes popped out* "EH?! WHY?!!"
Brook: "As I just explained, my shadow has been stolen. I cannot live under the sun. I'm currently protected by the fog that blocks the sunlight here in the Devil's Sea. But if I left with you, it would be a matter of time before my body was obliterated. I will stay here and wait for the miraculous day when I reclaim my shadow!! Yohohoho!!"
Luffy stood up and furrowed his brows.
Luffy: "Don't act like such a stranger! If you need your shadow, I'll take it back for you!"
Y/N stood up as he walked over to the skeleton.
Y/N: "We!! We'll take it back for you. You said someone stole it, right? Who was it? Whose ass do we have to kick?"
Brook: "You two. . . really are great people... I'm surprised! However, I cannot tell you. I could not ask you to die for me when we've just met!"
Franky: "Meaning the foe's too strong? It wouldn't kill you! At least give us a name."
Brook: "No, my lips are sealed. Honestly, I don't know where he is. Yohoho. I don't even know if I'll see him again before my second life comes to an end. But if our paths should ever cross, I have decided to fight him!"
He stated.
Brook: "Putting that aside...let's sing!"
He pulls out a violin from a case.
Y/N: "Wait a minute. Where'd that case come from?!"
Brook: "Instruments are my pride and joy. I was a musician on my pirate ship."
Luffy: "Eeh?! You're a musician?! Please! Join my crew, moron!!" He asked with excitement and sparkles flying around him.
Just as the skeleton was about to sing, he froze and stared at something before calling it out in fear.
Brook: "GYAAAAA!!! G-G-Ghost!!"
Everyone turned to see a ghost poking out of the wall, followed by loud creaking and the ship shaking. Brook appeared to be concerned about something else, because he suddenly ran outside.
Brook: "I-It couldn't be! How horrible! This ship was already under observation. Come look! They've blocked the path in front of you! This is what caused that tremor!"
There was a huge mouth-looking thing, which Brook quickly explained was the back of a gate. He instructed everyone to run to the other side of the ship, and everyone quickly followed. Brook then asked if the Straw Hats had picked of a barrel on their way there.
Y/N: "Yeah, we took Poseidon's barrel."
Brook: "I knew it! That was a trap."
Y/N: "So. . . no Poseidon? Q_Q"
The front of the ship was filled with a thick fog, that slowly began clearing up a bit, but not completely. Still the Straw Hats and the skeleton were able to see land in front of them.
Luffy: "How'd an island get there?"
Brook: "This is the ghost island that wanders the seas... Thriller Bark!"
Time Skip
Due to the Author wanting to speed through some stuff, Imma summarize some stuff that happened. Brook told the pirates to leave the island, before taking off running on water, as if he were Jesus or something. Franky introduced one of the Sunny's new features. This one being the Mini-Merry from dock four, which was good until Usopp, Chopper and Nami rode out of sight and screamed from the island moments later. Back on the ship, Y/N, Luffy, Zoro, Franky and Robin seemed to be dealing with some invisible force that dropped the anchor, opened a hatch, and caused one of Zoro's swords to fly out of its sheath.
Sanji tried jumping off the ship to go look for Nami, Usopp and Chopper, but something grabbed his leg, causing him to crash against the ship's side.
Sanji: "Hogeeeh!!"
(Y/N)/Zoro/Luffy/Franky: "Eeeh?!! How lame!!"
Sanji is then thrown back into the ship.
Zoro: "You said 'Hogeeg'."
Sanji: *Shark teeth* "SHUT UP!! WHY DON'T YOU GIVE IT A TRY?!"
Y/N: "Enough with the hide and seek, show yourself!!"
Robin: "Ah!!"
Sanji: "What's wrong, Robin-chan!!"
Robin was shown to be trying to push off the invisible force.
Robin: "Something's grabbing me!"
Suddenly the invisible forced licked Robin, and that's when Y/N had enough.
Y/N: "Oh, HELL NAW!!"
With incredible speed that was fueled by rage, Y/N jumped towards Robin, and clung onto the invisible force with his arms and legs, before opening his jaw and bitting down on whoever or whatever was in front of him. Y/N's actions caused, the entity to let go of Robin and howl out loud in pain, before running away. But, not before leaving behind a small trail of blood. Y/N tried pursuing it, but suddenly unnatural waves that were forming inside the fence, began shaking the ship.
Another Time Skip
A series of unfortunate events, involving the Ship getting stuck in a giant spiderweb, forced the Straw Hat pirates to venture into the haunted island.
Despite still being very angry to the recent events, Y/N's anger was quickly replaced with Luffy's excitement. And now the two boys were thrilled to explore the island. They headed into the entrance, the floor being covered in bones. They heard some growling coming from up ahead, and before them was, apparently, the creature Cerberus.
Luffy licked his lips, and Y/N grinned.
Sanji: "Cerberus, huh? He would have been safer in Hell."
Robin: "My, how cute!"
Franky: "Hey, isn't he lookin' for a fight?"
Zoro: "He doesn't know his place."
Y/N: "Then let us show him his place on the food chain."
Luffy: "Think he's yummy?"
Cerberus?: "??!!!" The poor animal broke out into a nervous sweat.
Long-story-short, the Cerberus wanna be was quickly tamed by a hit from Luffy and an intimidating stare from Y/N. Leading to it obeying Luffy and Y/N, but for some reason, mainly Y/N.
Now, Luffy and Y/N were riding the dog as they kept going forward into the island. At one point they encountered a tree with a face and a zombie unicorn having a drink together on the side of their path. Luffy, Y/N and Franky ran after them, stating that they would be part of the crew, earning a scold from Zoro and Sanji.
Yet Another Time Skip
Robin was pointing out the fact that all of the creatures that they had encountered so far had bandages, stitches and numbers tattooed onto their bodies. Suddenly, Luffy's group encountered some ghosts.
Ghosts: "Negative~! Negative~! Negative~!" A singular dancing ghost, multiplied into 3 dancing ghosts.
Luffy: "They're multiplying as they dance! Awesome!"
Y/N: "Oooh! I wonder if we'll encounter some dancing zombies. That's be a real thriller right there!"
Sanji: "That's one creepy cheer..."
Luffy: "I'll catch them and train them!!"
Luffy tried catching the ghost with his butterfly net, however it soon proved to be uneffective.
Franky: "Fresh Fire!" The cyborg's fire didn't work on the ghosts either.
Franky: "Shoot! It didn't work." A ghost flied through Franky's chest.
Franky: *Depressed* "It's useless. I'm totally no good this week. Everything I do is no good. I'm not sure I can live like this... I can hear the whole world booing me!" He fell to his knees and sulked.
Sanji: *Shark Teeth* "Are you really that bummed out?!" He yelled at the perverted cyborg.
Luffy: "Okay! I've got the punk!"
Luffy tried catching a ghost with his bare hands but fell on the floor next to the cyborg.
Luffy: *Depressed* "If I could be reborn, I'd like to be a clam. I suck! I wish there was a hole for me to crawl into!"
Sanji: *Shark Teeth* "What The heck Are You Two Doing?!"
Robin: "Do you think that perhaps touching those ghosts weakened their will?"
Y/N: "Hmmm. Perhaps."
Zoro: "Hmph, they're pathetic. It's because they don't usually prepare their spirits, that they get their minds played with by some weird ghosts." A ghost flew through his chest.
Zoro: *Depressed* "I'm sorry I was ever born." He sulked next to Luffy and Franky
Sanji: *Shark Teeth/Veins popped* "THAT'S ENOUGH!!"
Y/N: *Sighs* "Well shit, looks like I've got to call them."
Sanji: "Hm? Who're gonna call?"
Y/N: "Ghost B--" A ghost flew through his chest.
Y/N: *Depressed* "Who am I kidding? Nothing I ever do works. I'm still weak and useless. I wanna go home and die. Wait, I don't have a home to return to. Please, Earth, just open up a hole and swallow me. (;-;)" He sulked besides his depressed brothers.
Sanji: *Shark Teeth* "OH, COME ON!!!"
