"Minnie! Come on, I do not want to be late!" Sunoo said yelling at me.
Let's just say he's on a very thigh schedule and he can't be late. Their Junior trip is today and his boyfriend is going and he wants to be there with him.
On the other hand, I will have another boring day of school. Going from class to class, test from test, this will be as exhausting.
The only thing that could make my day better is by seeing Jisung. And my crush Hwang Hyunjin.
It's a secret so don't tell anyone, but I've had the biggest crush on him since middle school, and now that we're in high school it gives me a better chance. Well that's if I have a chance.
Jisung always tries to make me feel better by saying I'll find someone else, but who else is there? We go to the same school and I often see him, but why can't he seem to notice me?
"I'm coming, I was just packing my bag. Im good to go now."
"It's a normal school day for you. What do you need to pack? I bet your failing." Sunoo said chuckling.
"Not funny! Im a straight A student, and I'm packing because I might stay at Jisung's tonight."
Jisung is my bestfriend, my only friend infact. I was always a quiet person and never liked talking to anyone. I always thought that friends would get in the way of my chances of getting into a good college, but when Jisung came along, it was like he changed my whole mindset.
We've been Bestfriends since middle school, so I guess I can say he's been more like a brother to me more then my own. Don't tell Sunoo I said that ether.
"Tell hannie I said hi, okay?" I nodded and we headed out to the car.
"Are you sure that mom said it was okay to use the car? What if she needs it for work? Or what if she needs to get something?"
"Chill, she said it was fine. She isn't going to work for a couple of days anyway and besides, your driving it home right?" I just looked at him and nodded again.
I'm not that great of a driver. Sunoo usually takes us to school then drops me off at home so he could hang out with his friends. Or I just walk, I was always scared of the road which is why im avoiding that drivers test we have to take at school.
"Minnie, you have to stop being scared of the road. When I graduate, who's gonna drive you to school and back? I'll be in college."
"Your only a Junior, I have more time with you anyways."
"It was just an example. You need to be ready, I won't be here forever to take care of you."
I just sighed and faced the other way as he continued driving. I knew that I have to take it especially because it's required for everyone in my grade to take it. Sometimes I wish I wasn't a sophomore you know?
"By the way, this might be the year that you can finally stop being a chicken and talk to Mr Hwang Hyunjin." He teased.
"Yah, stop teasing me! He isn't the most important thing I need to worry about this year."
I was obviously lying. Even people on the moon can tell that I had some type of feeling for him.
"Are you sure? You seem to often stare at him a lot, talk about him to Jisung, oh and-"
"We get it! Now are we almost at school? I wanna finish this conversation already."
"Geez, looks like somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. We're here relax."
I waited until he pulled over into one of the parking spaces and got out. It was a lot of people outside walking to the bus and into the door. I spotted Jisung and ran over to him.
"Hannie. Please help me, I feel like I'm going to die being in this school all day." I said exaggerating.
But what I didn't notice was that it was 3 others standing beside him, including somebody who I never thought to see.
"Oh, hey Minnie! Meet Minho, Changbin, and you already know Hyunjin."
"Does he now?" Hyunjin looked at me with a cheeky grin. Was this his way of flirting?
I don't know why, but I was blushing. I guess you can say that his looks got me. Well played hyunjin, well played.
Before they could say anything else, I pulled Jisung over to the corner, I needed answers and I needed them now.
"When we're you gonna tell me that you hung out with all 3 of the most popular kids in school? Are you nuts?"
"I started talking to Minho a couple of days ago, I just met his friends yesterday." I stared in shock after hearing the news.
"Minho knows about you, so does Hyunjin and Changbin. They wanted to get to know me and you a little better so I also invited them to our hangout after school. Please don't be to mad."
"To mad? What do I even say to hyunjin? It will be so awkward, he doesn't even know me."
"That's the thing, he wants to get to know you." He looked at me with puppy eyes. I could tell he wanted me to give in but I held on for a little longer.
"I'm not falling for it, your eyes don't faze me."
"Please Minnie, just go. You don't have to hang out with them again if you don't like them. I want all us to become good friends." He whined.
"Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee-"
"Fine. I'll go, but just this once. So stick to your word."
"Thank you so much! I promise you don't have to do this again if you don't want to." He cheered.
"Can we seriously get to class? almost all of the parking lot is empty." I asked.
"Yeah, but we should walk to class with the guys. I'm sure they won't mind." I nodded and followed him back over there.
"Minho Hyung, do you mind if we walk to class with you guys? We have the same 1st period."
"I don't mind, as long as Seungmin is okay with it then he could go with Hyun maybe. They have the same class."
Jisung walked over to me smirking. "What are you up to?" I asked.
"Hyunjin Hyung is gonna walk with you. You don't have 1st period with me."
"What?" I yelled so loud that they all looked at me.
"I'll take that as a yes. Gotta go Minnie, see ya!" Jisung quickly left with Minho and I was left by myself with Hyunjin. Changbin left with someone named Felix?
"Uhh, hey? How's it going." He said awkwardly.
"F-Fine. I guess, I'm just trying to get to class you know?"
"Haha, yeah." He looked at me smiling. Gosh, his smile is so cute. If only I could just kiss him right then and there I would.
We made it to class just in time. I was so happy until he sat right next to me. I felt butterflies in my stomach.
"I think I'm your seat mate for right now. All the other seats are taken."
I looked around the room to see he was right. I got more anxious, I don't know how I will survive this class with him literally sitting right next to me.
"Hey so um, do you maybe want t-" He stopped talking when the bell rung. If only I could thank the bell, I would."
"Alright class! Grab your text books and turned to page 365 please and thank you." Our teacher said.
As I was getting Hyunjin stopped me. "Don't worry I'll get it for you, after all I am your seat mate right?" He said chuckling and walked to the other table to get the books.
I felt like my cheeks were on fire. People were staring and whispering about us, I could hear everything.
I flinched when somebody touched my hand. "Chill Min, it's just me. Hyunjin." I blushed at the nickname, nobody calls me that except for Sunoo and Jisung.
"Oh.. haha." I laughed nervously and opened my book and started reading.
The lesson went on for so long. I was starting to fall asleep until somebody gently touched my shoulder making me wake up from my slumber.
"Minnie, maybe you should stay away for the lesson? We only have about 10 minutes left anyways and then there's lunch." Hyunjin said whispering.
"Excuse me Mr Hwang? Would you like to share with the class what you were whispering to Seungmin?" The teacher asked him.
"I'm sure the class doesn't need it. But it seems like you want it." They all laughed as the teacher rolled her eyes and continued talking. I blushed at how confident he was, I could never stand up for myself especially to a teacher.
"Seungmin? Are you okay. Your face is red and you spaced out." He asked looking concerned.
"I'm fine, I think that it's the temperature in this room. Let's just focus on the lesson." I said looking back at my book.
I didn't forget about what he just called me. Minnie. It was like he was the perfect person to call me that, I wanted him to keep calling me that but I would never say that.
About 10 minutes later the bell rung. Everybody got up from their seats and it was just me, hyunjin, and some other students left in the room as the rest walked out.
I got up to push in my stool to the desk. "Hey Minnie, do you want to sit with me and my friends at lunch? I'm sure they won't mind, Jisung and Felix will be there." He told me.
"Felix? Who is that?" I asked. "Changbin's Boyfriend. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll like him. It's like you, Jisung, and him have the same personality." He smiled and grabbed his books.
"If everyone is cool with it, I don't mind it." I mumbled.
"Okay, well we should get going. The tables will fill up really quickly." He took my hand and we both walked out.
I felt butterflies in my stomach once again. 'Am I living the y/n life right now? There is no way.' I thought.
I regretted ever agreeing to sit with them at lunch because as soon as we walked in the cafeteria, everybody stared at me like I was a nasty creature. I guess I could say I got insecure, I never liked myself and the thought of becoming friends with hyunjin? Makes it even harder to believe this is reality. But who am I to deny the Hwang Hyunjin? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
"Minnie! Over here!" Jisung yelled at me from a table with some other people.
Hyunjin saw them too. Me forgetting that our hands were still interlocked, he pulled me over to sit by him.
Hannie looked in shock at first then smirked at me. "Don't you say a word, or I will fuck you up." I said mouthing the words to him. I guess he got the hint nodded back with a serious face.
"Hey Jisung. Hey Hyun. What's up?" Changbin said.
They started to talk while I sat there on my phone. I was infact trying to avoid a conversation but Jisung brung something up.
"Hey Minnie, I was thinking. What if we all hang at your house today? It's the closet by." He asked.
They looked at me. "Sure, I don't mind. Let me just ask my mom first." I said.
"I can't wait to see what your house looks like Seungmin." Hyunjin whispered in my ear.
