your pov
lately i've been distant from everyone including taylor. i don't know why i just have a feeling like i'm not wanted. my self-esteem has been low for whatever reason i don't know why. i think i just need time to myself
i was sitting on the couch watching tv when taylor sat next to me and put her arm around me. i got up because i felt uncomfortable for a reason i don't know why.
"y/n where are you going?" she asked with a pout on face.
"oh um i gotta go to the bathroom" i said with a fake smile.
"ok then" taylor said turning her attention back to the tv.
damn it y/n why can't you just be normal and not be so distant all the damn time what's wrong with you i thought to myself.
i decided to book a flight to rhode island to go stay at that house for a little. i think the beach will help me clear my mind a little.
i walked back out into the living room and sat on the other end of the couch.
taylor looked at me and then looked back to the tv with a sad look on her face.
"h-hey um tay" i said while fidgeting with my fingers
"yeah" she turned her attention to you and smiled
"uhm i have to leave tomorrow and go to um arizona." i said. i felt bad lying to taylor but i felt even more bad about lying on where i was going
"what why?" she asked confused
"uhm family reasons..." i said looking down.
"oh do you want me to come with you?" she asked.
"NO i mean no, sorry i think it's just best if i go by myself..." i say
"o-oh okay.. so how long will you be gone for?" she asked.
"u-uhm a couple days?" i said it came out more like a question. i didn't really know how long i would stay.
"oh.." she said.
"well i'm gonna go pack then head to bed. you coming up?" i asked.
"yeah i'll be up soon.." she said.
taylor's pov
something's up with y/n. she's been so distant lately and now she's leaving. did i do something? if i did i don't know what. well i hope what's ever going on with y/n's family that everything is okay. y/n seemed pretty upset about it so i hope she's okay.
i walked upstairs and saw y/n packing the last of her stuff.
"hey tay?" she asked.
"yeah baby?" i said.
"can you drive me to the airport tomorrow?" she asked.
"yeah i can what time do you need to be there?" i asked
"well my flight leaves at 10 so probably 8:30?" she said
"okay. are you taking the jet?" i asked.
"no i'm flying commercial." she said
"oh okay. well i'm gonna go shower" i said.
"ok" y/n said as she plopped down on the bed.
as i was in the shower i let the steamy water hit my back. i was in deep thought. i knew y/n was lying to me. i don't know what about but i know she is lying.
