In an Unknown base, Kit was seated at a computer while Surge was a few feet away.
Kit: That's everything in the base, routed to you.
Surge: Eh?
Kit: Oh. Sorry.....the breaker was overloaded, until it restarted, and we're on emergency power.
Surge: Ugh....Fine. It'll do for now. Gotta be ready, Sonic nor that Gotuce guy won't leave us alone, so long we're not marching in lockstep with him.
Kit: I- I don't think Mister Gotuce was going after up but was rather upset that you hurt the wolf......
Surge: Why do you think that?
Kit: It's just that he seemed protective of the wolf and h-he was trying to help me........maybe h-he can help you too?
Surge: Tch......there's no one who can else us with this........no one....

Sonic and Tails had made it to what was supposedly is Surge and Kits location.
Tails: An Eggman base? Wait, no....look at the insignia!
Sonic: Huh, Starline sure made himself comfortable.
They both make it to the entrance.
Sonic: Dark, Dank, Foreboding.......If they're not in here, I'll eat my own shoe.
Just then Sonic heard what was a turbine engine before being dragged inside by Metal Sonic.
Tails: SONIC! I'm coming!
But then he saw Eggman on a walker with an army of badniks behind him.
Eggman: Blast it, Metal! I didn't say you could run off! Get back here this inst-Oh.
Eggman notice Tails below him.
Eggman: I take it your here with the rat. So Metal just went after....?
They both head inside.

Both Sonic and Metal were zipping around the area, fighting.
Sonic: That certainly was something back in Egghead's city. I haven't seen you that mad in a while. But you still put on the brakes for Belle. Just for a second......you wanna talk about that?
Metal them smalls Sonic into a crate before Tails comes in licking which Metal grabs.
Tails: Sorry I'm late, ron into Eggman!
Sonic: He's here? Figures. All right, go time! Metal, I'm not giving up on you yet!

Moments earlier.....
Eggman: Slow down, will you! Always with the running......fine. A shortcut it is.
Eggman checks a map on his mech.
Eggman: GAH! That platypus went and made modifications to my flawless floor plan?! What a hassle. At least I can still track down the Dynamo Cage's location. That can't be right.....How can it be right on top of-
Suddenly Eggman shoots at the ceiling revealing Surge hiding in the rafters.
Then Surge jumps on top the mech.
Eggman: GAH!
Surge: Bad news, old man. I'm not letting you off easy this time.
Eggman throws Surge down.
Eggman: Get down from my machine!
Surge lands into a group of badniks.
Eggman: Robots, hold her down!
The robots pile on her but pink spikes shoot out, impaling them all.
Surge: Do you really think that would stop me?
Eggman: Of course not! I just needed to prepare....
Eggman presses a button as rockets shoot out to Surge.
Eggman: This!
Surge was about to dodge them with ease but they were destroyed by ki blasts.
She turns around to see who shot them but doesn't seem anyone but then feels heat just above.
Eggman: Cute. Very cute.
Eggman used the thrusters to try and burn Surge alive.
Surge: Aah!
Eggman: Don't try outwit me, girl.
Then Surge shot laser from her eyes which destroys the mech and makes Eggman fall to the ground.
Eggman: Oof!
Surge gets on top the destroyed mech.
Surge: More. Need more.
Surge pulls out a canister with a green crystal in it.
Surge: Yes.....
Surge crushes it and absorbs it.
Eggman had sneakily gone to a key pad before punching in some numbers.
Eggman: If I'm not careful, she's going to turn me into mince meat! Good thing I came prepared. Starline may have put his name on it. But this is my base! I'm sure he didn't know about my private access codes.
Eggman began to sneak past Surge who notices.
Eggman: Well, this has been fun, but I've got a strategically placed escape hatch to catch! Ta-Ta!
Just then at the keypad, the voice of Starline can be heard.
Starline: *Hello Doctor......you found my secret message! How exhilarating! I prepared this just for you.*
Eggman: Wh-Staline?!
Starline: *I'm afraid you little "access codes" weren't as hidden as you thought. This is my base, and I'll be making the rules.*
Surge then charges lightning.
Surge: Your move.......!

Back with Sonic and Tails, they were dodging Metal's attack.
But they can hear Eggmans voice.
Eggman: Eeyagh! Stay back, you fiend!
Metal heard this and was prepared to take off.
Sonic: That doesn't sound good. Deja vu all over again, Huh, buddy?
Metal boosts to Eggman.
Tails: Sonic, is Surge is there.......
Sonic: Yup, like it or not, we gotta go, too.
They both head to Eggmans screams.
Surge had Eggman pinned down.
Eggman: N-Now let's be reasonable! I have a lot of resources at my disposal! And can always use, Ah, motivated individuals like yourself in my employ.......
Surge: You genius types never know when to shut up, do ya? Maybe you'll stop once I knock you teeth in.
Just then Metal appears behind Surge who she stops and with that, Eggman sends Surge over off of him.
Eggman: Finally!
Surge lands as she keeps skidding on the ground.
Surge: You think your little pet robot can take me? I've chewed more of your rust buckets than you can count!
Sonic stops her from skidding as Surge sees him and Tails as well as Eggman and Metal in front.
Eggman: Any other unfounded boats you'd like to blurt out? I'm all ears.
Surge: Rrgh! No!
Surge jumps up into the rafters as Eggman and Sonic began to talk about some fort of truce.
Up in the rafters, Surge head cuddle her legs to her chest and she panics.
Surge: They're working together......It doesn't matter how strong I get. They'll find another way to hurt me.......Hurt us......
Surge made her way back to Kits location with a thud.
Kit: Surge!
Surge seems to be having a breakdown.
Surge: I'm not enough.....never enough......never........
Surge: I-I couldn't find you on the cameras. I didn't know what to do!
Surge:.......Eggman and Sonic are working together. The plan......it'll still work.......it has to......is everything ready?
Kit: Uh-hu! I've locked down every routes to the base!
Then they heard the sound of someone teleporting.
Kit was the first to turn around and see Gotuce......
Kit: Wha! Mister Gotuce!
Surge: Gotuce?
Surge turns around to see Gotuce......but he is panting and bandaged up........as if he is still hurt.....
Surge: Oh. It's you.....you can where to finish the job?
Gotuce:...........No......
Surge and Kit were shocked, but Surge was in silent before speaking.
Surge: What do you mean no!
Gotuce: I...... mean that I'm not going to fight you........I.......am going to help......you.
Gotuce had said the last bit in seriousness.
Surge: So your going to help us kill Eggman and Sonic?
Gotuce: Not kill........just enough for the two of you to leave without a trace.......
Kit then became happy and he runs up and hugs Gotuce.
Kit: Ha-ha! I knew it! I knew you were the only one to truly understand us!
Gotuce: Heh.....heh....Tch ow......can you let me go?.......it hurts to laugh.
Surge: Understand? What do you mean by that?
Kit: Tails had told me that Mister Gotuce was also someone who suffered through a lot! Like us!
Surge: Oh? And by alot do you mean losing your "family"? Or your so you say "universe"? What a bunch of hog wash! Kit! This guy's doesn't understand us at all! He just said that to get close to us so he can finish us first!
Kit: What??? But that can't be true! Is it, Mister Gotuce?
Gotuce was silent before taking out a scouter and pressing it revealing his past and the complete erasure of his entire universe which Surge and Kit were shocked and silent to witness while Gotuce kneels down on all four before hearing his family fade once again..........
