Let's read 🫡

Atlanta GA 📍
Saturday, June 2nd
8am

"Remind me to never pick a seat next to Leilani on the plane ever again."

Kaliyah chuckled at the sound of Shay's voice. They had just landed in Atlanta from their flight out of Chicago. It was a 2 hour plane ride which they had to wake up early for.

"Bitch, you were the one snoring in my ear the entire time."

Leilani snickered, causing Shay to roll her eyes. Kaliyah couldn't help it but yawn as she stood there, waiting for the conveyer belt to bring out the rest of her luggage. She had on a simple black yoga pant with a matching sweater. Her carry on bag just hung heavily off her shoulders as she impatiently tapped her foot against the floor.

Kaliyah just couldn't believe that she was actually here for Asian's birthday party tonight. Part of her was hoping that Von wouldn't be there at all, but that was a silly thing to hope for since he was the one planning the party.

Kaliyah actually hadn't spoken to Von in over 4 days. She figured he probably knew by now that he was blocked on everything. She definitely felt bad about having to do that to him, but she really had no choice.

"Oh, there goes your bag Kaliyah."

Leilani pointed, interrupting her thoughts. Kaliyah just nodded her head, her eyes landing on her pink Chanel rolling bag as it came around on the conveyer belt. She wasted no time grabbing it with her hands before placing it onto the ground. Both Shay and Leilani did the same exact thing, grabbing their bags as well.

"I rented us a car. We should be able to pick it up on the second floor."

Kaliyah began just as they all started to make their way through the airport.

"We might have to make a quick stop at the mall later. Ion got shit to wear for this stupid ass party tonight."

Shay muttered.

"Shay be niceeee. This is Asians birthday party we're talking about."

Kaliyah chuckled. Shay just rolled her eyes.

"Look no offense, I know she's your cousin and all, but I don't trust Asian."

She pointed.

"Yeah Kaliyah, I mean wasn't she the one that stopped hanging out with you first when we were kids? She was the one that started acting funny, which is why the both of y'all stopped talking in the first place."

Leilani reminded. Kaliyah just chewed the inside of her cheek, not really wanting to partake in this conversation at all.

"We were kids back then. It's really no big deal now. We're all mature adults, so anything that has happened in the past doesn't really count anymore."

Kali pointed.

"Right, like you having a crush on Von."

Leilani snickered.

"Lani please. That has nothing to do with anything. I ghosted him just like you said, remember?"

Kaliyah playfully smacked Leilani in the arm with her hand while giving her a look.

"Ooouuu I can't believe you actually ghosted King Von. I mean, I understand why you did it... but it's still a damn shame."

Shay snickered, shaking her head. Kaliyah just sucked her teeth at the both of them.

"There ain't nothing wrong with a little flirting Kaliyah. Personally, I would've still kept texting Von like nobody's business, but that's just me."

Shay raised her hands up in defense. Kaliyah made a face as Leilani chuckled.

"I would never text a man like that knowing he has a whole girlfriend. That's just straight up wrong."

Kaliyah pointed.

"Him and Asian are literally on the verge breaking up. I can feel it. Or at least that's what the shaderoom says."

Shay shrugged.

"Ugh, enough about Von. I'm so tired of hearing his name."

Kaliyah huffed lightly just as they headed towards the elevators.

"Bitch please. You know you miss his little late night FaceTime calls-"

Shay continued to tease.

Kaliyah could feel her cheeks warming up as she decided to just ignore the girls. She really didn't want to admit it, but she did lowkey miss Von. Kaliyah couldn't help but wonder if he was mad at her for ghosting him.

I mean, if somebody ghosted me out of nowhere, I'd definitely feel some type of way.

She thought quietly to herself. The elevator doors finally slid open, just as the girls hopped on.

"Okay, so we're gonna pick up the rental and drive straight to the hotel. From there, I might need to take a quick nap before we do anything else."

Kaliyah stated.

"You such a grandma Kali."

Leilani chuckled.

"Bitch we had to be up real early for this flight. I'm missing out on my beauty sleep."

Kaliyah retorted.

"Yeahhh I agree. I definitely need a quick nap after this flight. Especially before this stupid ass party we gotta go to-"

"Shay I said be niceee!!!"

Kaliyah laughed. The girls just all giggled as the elevator doors closed completely shut.

Atlanta, GA 📍
Saturday, June 2nd
8pm

"Happy motherfucking birthday to meeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!"

The sound of Asian's voice just rung with a high pitched tone in Dayvon's ear, causing him to flinch with annoyance. He was currently seated in the drivers seat of his all white Benz with one hand on the wheel. Music was blasting throughout the speakers of his luxury car, Von purposely having the volume on full blast in an attempt to drown out Asian's voice.

His eyes cut towards her, Asian sitting in the passenger seat with her phone out recording herself on instagram live. She was posing for the camera, making all kinds of silly faces toward her viewers. She even flipped the camera on Von, him staring blankly at the screen not really amused at all.

"My baby daddy planned a whole birthday party for me today. You bitches could never! I see all you desparate hoes in Von DM and none of y'all could ever touch himmmm!"

She slurred.

Asian had been drinking since 5pm, trying to get as lit as she could just before her party. The liquor was already flowing through, making her act up the entire afternoon. She just cheesed at the camera, reaching over and grabbing Von's face with her fingers. He could feel her long acrylic nails slightly digging into his face as she squeezed onto his cheeks.

"Asian chill out."

He mumbled, gently moving her hands away from him. She just proceeded to put the camera in his face, making sure everybody on the live could see him.

"Me and Von gon get married one of these days. He's the love of my life. He has my whole soul."

Dayvon just glanced at her, seeing her eyes grow super low as she smirked in his direction.

"You drunk as fuck ova' there makin' jokes huh."

He pointed, chuckling. Asian began to giggle, flipping the camera back onto herself again.

"Yeah I am drunk as fuck, because it's my birthdayyyyy!"

She pointed at the camera. Von shook his head, turning his focus back onto the road. He had to admit he had a lot of love for Asian; but was he in love with her?

No.

She was just easy to keep around, which he knew was wrong for the both of them.

Dayvon licked his lips slightly, pressing his foot on the gas while speeding down the road. He had a feeling that tonight was going to be a very long night. He rented out a huge mansion for Asian's party, practically inviting almost everyone she knew.

There was just one specific person that Dayvon was interested in seeing tonight:

Kaliyah.

He truly had no idea that both Asian and Kaliyah were cousins. When Asian told him that the other night, it surprised him just a little bit. Dayvon was already aware that Kaliyah randomly blocked him just a few days ago; and as much as he tried to make it seem like it didn't bother him at all, he was definitely very much bothered by it.

Von was just confused. He enjoyed talking and getting to know more about Kaliyah, and he thought that she felt the same way. She was like a breath of fresh air to him. In his mind, he thought their friendship was cool and innocent, even though he did flirt with her any chance he got. Kaliyah blocking him definitely had him all the way fucked up.

Dayvon was just curious to see if she would actually pop out at the party tonight. I mean, Kaliyah would have a lot of nerve showing up knowing that he would be there, but also he couldn't wait to see her. He conducted this plan in his head about somehow getting her alone tonight to confront her; but another part of him also didn't want Kaliyah to think he was bothered at all.

Dayvon had never felt bothered by a girl, let alone anyone really in his life. He grew up a street nigga, and had seen a lot of crazy things go down. He witnessed people get shot and die right in front of him. He'd been in and out of jail on multiple occasions at a young age. All of these things just taught him how to hide his emotions and keep them under control.

So it didn't make any sense to him why he felt so bothered by little ole' Kaliyah blocking him as if he was nothing-

"Von, bae are we almost there yet?"

Asian's voice could be heard, disrupting his thoughts.

"Yeah, we like 5 minutes away from tha place."

He pointed. She had finally turned off live, instead placing her phone onto her lap before gazing at him.

"I love you so much Von."

She blurted out, her eyes planted on him. He couldn't help but chuckle, looking in her direction before shaking his head.

"What's so funny Von?"

She pouted.

"You."

He simply said. He could hear Asian sucking her teeth now as she shifted in her seat a bit.

"How come you don't ever tell me that you love me back? Hmm?"

She continued to question. Sober Asian knew way better than to ever ask Von that question. But since she had been drinking all afternoon, her drunk thoughts seemed to be getting the best of her. Asian just watched him intently, waiting for him to respond.

"You know Ion be sayin shit like that. Don't act brand new."

He finally spoke.

"Why not though, Von? You act like you ain't never been in love ever in your entire life."

She pointed. Dayvon just continued keeping his eyes on the road, slightly annoyed by this conversation. He definitely did not like talking about his feelings at all. That was something he liked to keep to himself. He could just feel Asian staring hard at him as he kept his focus straight ahead.

"We here."

He nodded, motioning towards the huge mansion they were finally approaching. Asian quickly turned her attention out the window, completely forgetting about the conversation they were having as she easily became distracted by the scenery outside.

"No wayyyy!!!"

She gasped with excitement. There were cars parked all over up and down the block as it seemed like the party had already started. Music was blasting right inside the house. There were pink birthday balloons spilling out onto the front lawn. Dayvon just let out a sigh of relief, parking his car right out front before killing the engine.

"Come on, they waitin' fa you inside."

He instructed.

They both hopped out the car, Asian making sure to grab a hold of Von's hand before pulling him towards the house. It didn't take long for them to make it inside, just as everyone began to scream their happy birthday's to Asian.

She instantly let go of Dayvon's hand, instead running to all of her friends as they all greeted her. Von was just relieved that she could now be distracted the entire night by everyone else. Instead of following where she went, he headed in the opposite direction, strolling through the house while his eyes scanned the party. It seemed like everyone was already lit tonight. The smell of alcohol, weed and baccarat was just swirling through the air.. typical.

Von just nodded his head at a few people that called out to him. He really wasn't in the mood to socialize with anyone tonight. In fact, he didn't want to admit it at all, but he was lowkey looking for Kaliyah. He couldn't help but think that if she really did show up tonight, she was definitely first on his agenda-

"Hey Von.."

A familiar female voice could be heard, followed by a hand grabbing onto his arm. Dayvon could feel himself being pulled back, before his eyes landed on Rubi.

She just had a small smirk plastered onto her face as she stared up at Von like he was a piece of meat. She couldn't help but admire how handsome he always looked. The big chains hanging from his neck always seemed to catch her eye. Rubi definitely had a hidden agenda here, and she too wanted Von all to herself.

"Damn, ion rememba you bein' invited."

He half joked, causing her to make a face.

"Boy stop playing with me. You know I can get in anywhere."

Rubi playfully hit his shoulder. He just chuckled, removing his arm from her grip.

"I've missed you Von. Haven't seen or heard from you in a while."

She pointed. Rubi bit her bottom lip slightly, giving him a seductive look.

"Aye Von, bring yo bowlegged cheatin' ass on!"

Herb's voice could suddenly be heard, shouting from right across the room. Rubi just rolled her eyes with annoyance as Von turned his attention toward Herb. He also spotted Durk, Booka, Meech, and a few other folks he was familiar with. A huge grin just formed onto his face.

"Mann shut yo bitchass up, Herbert!"

Von shot back, all the guys beginning to laugh.

"Ima need you ta hold that thought Rubi."

Von began, just as he quickly turned on his heel. Rubi instantly frowned, watching him completely walk off in the opposite direction leaving her behind. She huffed to herself, making a mental note to try and get Von alone later tonight.

"On BD I know yo tall light skin string bean lookin ass ain't call me bowlegged."

Von snapped, just as he approached them.

"Nigga how you come to yo own girls party just to flirt with Rubi Rose? Shit crazy."

Booka snickered.

"Von don't even like Asian. Let's start there."

Herb cackled. It was pretty clear that all the guys were already drunk, high, or both.

"All y'all niggas lit already I see."

Von pointed, eyeing the half empty bottle of Hennessy in Durks hand.

"Fuck yeah. Shit we tried waiting for you Von, but yo ass wanna arrive fashionably late."

"Mannn that was all Asian's fault. she was takin' forever ta get ready. Plus her ass was already drunk before we left her crib."

Von explained, waving them off.

"You want a shot?"

Durk offered. He was already in the process of pouring Von a shot of henny in a small glass cup.

"A shot? This nigga must think Ima hoe."

Dayvon snickered. Everyone began to laugh once again while Durk rolled his eyes. He instead handed Von a brand new bottle of Clasè Azul.

Von took the bottle of tequila, pouring himself a cup before drinking it. He seated himself onto the couch with the rest of the guys as they all began to drink, smoke, and converse with each other.

Atlanta, GA 📍
Saturday, June 2
9pm

Kaliyah found herself staring straight up at the huge mansion in front of her, the song 'In Da Club' by 50 Cent could be heard blasting from inside. She stood right outside the car, tugging on her dress and making sure it didn't ride up too much against her thighs.

The dress she had on was white with long sleeves going down past her wrist. Her dress was off the shoulders, exposing the small diamond tennis necklace she wore around her neck. Kaliyah also had on boots, with a Fendi purse in her hands. She carried another bag with a few birthday presents stuffed inside for Asian tonight.

"Girl this party already jumpin'."

Leilani nudged, just as both her and Shay hopped out the car too. The girls had spent most of their day napping, before spending the rest of their time getting ready for the party tonight which caused them to be almost 2 hours late.

"Come on yall, let's just get this night over with."

Shay muttered, rolling her eyes.

Both Kaliyah and Leilani giggled as Shay lead the way heading towards the front door. Kaliyah rubbed her glossy lips together, mentally preparing herself to possibly see Von tonight. There was no doubt in her mind that he was here. She just wasn't sure what she would even say or do if he decided to approach her.

Kaliyah knew all too well that Dayvon had a big ego, and was super bold with his words. So there was no way she could escape him if he was here tonight.

They entered the house, the girls quickly amazed by how beautiful it looked inside. There were huge pictures of Asian literally almost everywhere you turned. Lights were flashing as people danced and mingled all around them. Kaliyah did not recognize a single person here at this party, which is why she was happy to have Leilani and Shay with her.

"Kaliyah?!"

A familiar voice could be heard. The girls looked to the left of them, seeing Bella who was waving in their direction. She was a few feet away sitting with a bunch of people.

"Bella knows Asian?"

Leilani whispered, making a face. Kaliyah just politely waved back, deciding to head over there first.

"What are y'all doing here? I was not expecting y'all to be at this party at all!"

Bella shouted over the music. She hopped up from her seat, pulling each of the girls into an embrace.

"Asian invited us out tonight."

Shay responded, giving Bella a slightly fake smile.

"Y'all want some shots? We were just about to take some."

Bella motioned towards a table which had a plethora of shot glasses, along with different kinds of tequila bottles.

"Girl let me get the Deleon."

Leilani pointed.

"Where can I put Asian's birthday gift? I'm not tryna carrying it all night."

Kaliyah questioned.

"Oh girl, she has a whole pile of gifts in the kitchen. Just put it in there."

Bella said before beginning to pour them their shots. Kaliyah nodded, turning on her heel making her way through the party once again. She shuffled through people, keeping her eyes peeled for any sign of the kitchen. Kaliyah ended up walking down a hallway which lead to what seemed like the kitchen area.

There, she could instantly see a huge pile of gifts and gift bags that were placed right onto the cobblestone counter in the middle of the kitchen.

"Oh wow."

Kaliyah muttered. She just decided to put her gift down randomly with the rest of the bags before exiting. She could barely hear her own thoughts while she pushed through people once again, heading back towards the direction of Leilani and Shay.

Kaliyah could see them in the distance as Bella was handing out shots to everyone. Kali just took a mental note to probably not drink tonight since she would end up being the designated driver home. She continued walking, her eyes traveling elsewhere checking out the rest of the house.

It wasn't until her eyes landed on those all too familiar brown ones. Her heart picked up in speed as she realized she was staring directly at Dayvon. He did not hesitate to stare right back, eyeing her up and down. She couldn't quite tell if he was mad or not, since he kept his face straight.

Boy did he look good tonight though. I mean, he always looked so good.

She thought to herself.

With his locs swinging in his face perfectly as he tilted his head to the side a bit, examining her. He had on a nicely fitted white tee, with his jeans hanging slightly beneath his waste. Whatever weed he was smoking on was tucked in between his thumb and pointer finger.

Kaliyah watched as he brought the joint to his lips, inhaling it perfectly before blowing the smoke in her direction-

"Kaliyah?!!! Oh my gosh you actually came!!!!!"

Asian's loud voice could be heard. Kaliyah gasped lightly, Asian's face coming into view now with a huge smile on her face. She barely had anytime to think as Asian swung her arms, pulling Kaliyah into a tight embrace.

Von still kept his eyes on Kali, watching both her and Asian's interaction with amusement.

"I actually didn't think you would show up."

Asian said while pulling away.

"Girl how could I not come and support you on your birthday? That's crazy."

Kaliyah pointed. She was able to look Asian in the face now, noticing how drunk she seemed tonight. Her eyes were super low as she kept her hand on Kali's arm, squeezing it lightly.

"Bitch I've missed you so much. I mean, it's been so long since you and I spoke."

Asian chuckled.

"Tell me about it. I'm pretty sure the last time I remember speaking to you was back in the 10th grade... right on new years-"

"Mmhmm... yup."

Asian quickly snickered.

"We definitely stopped talking to each other after new years. Crazy right."

She continued with a sarcastic tone. Kaliyah couldn't tell if Asian was trying to be funny... or if it was just the alcohol.

"But none of that even matters anymore Kali. I'm just glad you're here. Did Lani and Shay come with you?"

She questioned.

"Yup, they right over there with Bella."

Kaliyah pointed. Asian wasted no time grabbing onto Kaliyah's hand before pulling her in the direction where the girls were.

"Y'all is not about to be taking shots without me and Kaliyah nie!"

Asian shouted, getting everyone's attention.

"Don't worry bitch, I poured you a cup."

Bella said as they approached them. Before they knew it, both Kaliyah and Asian had shot glasses in their hands filled up to the brim with alcohol.

"Unt unt, where's Von? I need him right here so we can do a quick toast."

Asian had a smirk on her face as she quickly walked off, heading straight toward Dayvon. By now, everyone in the party had their eyes on the both of them as the music suddenly stopped. Asian did not hesitate to take a seat on his lap, raising her shot glass up in the air.

"I just wanna say thank you to my man for setting this all up for meeee."

She slurred, causing everyone to cheer. Kaliyah watched as Von kept his hands firmly on Asian's hips, making sure she didn't fall.

"I also wanted to shoutout my cousin Kaliyah for popping out tonight! She's probably one of the realest people I know! She knows me more than anybody in this room, including Von."

Asian went on. Kaliyah could feel her cheeks warming up as everyone began cheering for her too. She could see Von looking right at her, causing the pit of her stomach to turn slightly.

"Annnnnd I'm just thankful for everyone who came out to my birthday party tonight. Let's just have a toast to meeeee!"

Asian shouted, just as the music started to play again. Everyone lifted their glass cups, toasting it up before taking their shots. Kaliyah wasted no time at all, throwing her head back and taking the shot of tequila.

"Uh oh, girl don't look now. They kissin'."

She could hear Leilani whisper lowly. Kaliyah shook her head, licking her lips for any residue of alcohol on them. Her eyes looked up, watching as Asian did not hesitate to grab Dayvon's face with her hands before planting a kiss on his lips forcefully-

"Alright, that's enough with those two love birds. Y'all want some more shots?"

Bella interrupted, grabbing the girls attention once again.

"Yeah, let me get another round. Maybe 2."

Kaliyah pointed, agreeing with her. Between the looks Von kept giving her, and how drunk Asian seemed to be, and the both of them kissing all lovey dovey like, Kaliyah just had a feeling that tonight would be real interesting.

Atlanta, GA📍
Saturday, June 2nd
10:30 pm

Dayvon stood there quietly, his eyes directly on Asian as he watched her from across the room. She had been acting up the entire night, drunk and feeling herself to the max. Something was definitely off though, as he witnessed her standing right in front of Meech.

He could see them both talking to each other, Asian playfully messing with Meech's chain almost as if she was flirting with him. It was funny because Merch definitely hadn't said a single word to Von the entire night, yet he was real talkative whenever Asian came around.

Nonetheless, Dayvon found it very amusing, having a slight feeling that Asian might've been cheating on him with Meech. He obviously didn't have hard evidence of the infidelity, but he could easily tell with the way Asian was acting around Meech.

Von just rubbed his fingers against his chin slowly, taking note of the two before shrugging.

"Why don't yall two just break up already?"

Durk's voice could suddenly be heard. Dayvon looked to the left of him, seeing Durk just standing there with a slice of pizza in his hand.

"I mean, it seems like you don't really fuck wit Asian like that. Plus, I'm pretty sure she might be sleeping with Meech."

He added in before taking a bite of his pizza.

"Well that's good for ha. Cus she hasn't been getting no dick from me inna minute."

Von snickered.

"Cappp. You tellin' me you ain't fucked Asian in a minute?"

Durk repeated with a surprised look on his face.

"On my soul she ain't get no dick from me in like weeks. I just know her ass been getting it from somewhere else. She think I'm slow."

"Now Von... you not so innocent yoself. We all know you be fucking other bitches too."

Durk pointed.

Von didn't even bother to answer him on that one. He just raised his hands up defensively as Durk busted out into laughter. Von couldn't help but chuckle slightly, instead his eyes scanning the rest of the party now as he was looking for somebody specific.

"Mann you funny as fuck Von. But seriously though, when you gon' stop fuckin' around and settle down with somebody?"

Durk continued talking, just as Von spotted exactly who he was looking for. He could see Kaliyah just a few feet away with her phone pressed to her ear. He just smirked slightly, watching as she began heading towards the front door, exiting the party.

"Is you even listening to me Von? Or you just busy starin' at Kaliyah's ass."

Durk blurted out, causing Von to suck his teeth.

"Just keep an eye out on Asian fa me. I'm finna handle some business real quick."

Dayvon instructed.

"You want me to watch Asian??"

Durk said with a frown. Von just nodded his head, giving him a look before walking off in the same direction Kaliyah had went.

"Maaannnn..."

Durk muttered, rolling his eyes.

It didn't take long for Von to finally reach outside. He could see Kaliyah just standing by herself in the driveway, her arms crossed while she talked on the phone. Her back was facing him as she seemed extremely occupied with whoever she was talking to. Dayvon just took this time to really admire her appearance.

The little white dress she had on just formed her frame perfectly. The color of her dress really looked good against her chocolate skin tone. Her locs were surprisingly short this time, with a few highlights in her hair. He always thought the way she styled her locs was pretty impressive.

"Yeah, I should be back in Chicago by Sunday night. I can come by to see you then."

He could hear Kaliyah speaking softly. Dayvon just snickered to himself, trying to figure out who she was even talking to right now. He wondered if she was talking to Duke, or somebody just as lame on the other end of the line.

"Aww I miss you too. I meant to call you earlier but I was so busy trying to catch my flight with the girls."

Huh? Miss you too? Who tha fuck she missin?

He just scoffed to himself. Von decided to slowly make his way toward her, wanting to hear some more of this conversation she was having. She tapped her heel against the ground lightly, her back still facing him as she continued to talk.

"Yup. I promise I'll be safe out here. I still have that little taser you gave me."

Kaliyah chuckled. Von just crossed his arms against his chest now, stopping in his tracks while continuing to easedrop.

"I love you too. Goodnight. Oh and don't forget to take your vitamins before bed. You always seem to forget whenever I'm not there."

She said before finally hanging up the phone. Dayvon just looked at her skeptically, titling his head to the side. He watched as she let out a deep sigh, pulling the phone away from her ears now.

"So you in love wit somebody?"

He blurted out, just as she gasped in shock. Her head quickly snapped in his direction, a confused look just forming onto her face as their eyes finally met. Kaliyah turned around, frowning at him.

"Umm, excuse me?"

She began.

"Were you just... easedropping on my conversation, Von?"

He watched as her face scrunch up, finding it cute how easily it was to get under her skin. Dayvon just licked his bottom lip slightly before responding to her.

"Yup."

He said, putting emphasis on the 'P'.

Kaliyah squinted her eyes, giving him an annoyed look before shaking her head in disbelief.

"Touch your nose Von."

She snapped, rolling her eyes.

"What?"

He raised his eyebrow up with confusion. Kaliyah just wasted no time deciding to walk right past him, heading back toward the house.

"Hold up-"

Von said, gently grabbing onto her arm. He pulled her back, forcing her to stand right in front of him now.

"I asked you a question, Kaliyah. And ion like repeating myself."

The tone in his voice was stern now. Kaliyah just continued to frown, noticing the serious expression on his face. She was trying to decipher if he was actually being for real, or just drunk.

"Are you drunk or something?"

She said, pulling her arm away from him.

"Do I look drunk to you Ma?"

He shot back. They both just glared at each other now, not even realizing how close they were. Von really couldn't seem to focus on her eyes, instead getting distracted by how glossy and soft her lips looked. Her sweet vanilla scent just engulfed his nose, tempting him.

"I'm not in love with anyone Von. I can't even believe this right now."

She finally answered his question.

"I definitely heard yo ass just tell some goofy nigga on tha phone that you loved them. It was prolly Duke ass too huh?"

"Duke?"

Kaliyah repeated. She almost wanted to laugh now, seeing the slight jealousy just oozing from his demeanor. His jaw was locked as he continued to grill her. His reaction really surprised her to say the least.

"Are you... jealous?"

She curiously spoke, trying not to smirk in his face. She could see the dark swirls just forming in his eyes as he gave her a cynical look.

"On my mama I ain't neva' been jealous of the next man. Ain't shit ta be jealous about Kaliyah."

He snapped lightly. Kaliyah simply did not believe him though. She could just tell by the look he was giving her, that he was definitely jealous.

"Well first of all, I was talking to my father who just so happens to be in the hospital, Von."

She snapped back, causing him to just frown now. Dayvon definitely had no idea about Kaliyah's father, let alone him being in the hospital.

"Second of all, I don't know why you think you have the right to be grilling me like this, as if I owe you anything-"

"You actually do owe me an explanation on why you got my ass blocked on everything."

He said, cutting her off.

"I'm sorry, but don't you have a girlfriend? I don't think me and you being out here right now is even a good idea."

Kaliyah gently pushed Von back with her hand against his chest before attempting to walk off. He refused to let her go though, grabbing onto her hand this time and pulling her right back once more.

"Was it Duke? Did he threaten yo ass ta stop talkin' ta me? I ca' handle his ass real quick fa you if that's what you need me ta do-"

"Von, I don't need you to handle nobody's ass for me. I just need you to leave me alone."

She huffed, pulling her hand away from him. Dayvon just found himself staring down at her face, not really caring for what she had just said at all. He simply didn't want to leave her alone. It was like the more she tried to fight him, the more he wanted her.

The two seemed to be getting Deja vu, memories of the night they had kissed back when they were kids just flashing through their brains. Kaliyah found herself looking down at Von's lips, her heart rate picking up as her cheeks began to grow warm.

"How about we jus' go talk somewhere else. It can be anywhere away from hea'."

His voice was smooth and soft. His suggestion rang sweetly into her ears, the temptation between them slowly kicking in.

"Von I- I can't..."

Kaliyah groaned lightly.

"Look don't worry about Asian. She drunk outta ha mind right now."

He insisted. Kaliyah hesitated a bit, the wheels turning in her head as she continued to think.

"N-no... no I can't leave my friends. They are drunk too and I drove them here to this party-"

"Don't een' worry about allat. I got people in there that can make sure they get home safely, I promise. I just wanna get outta here witchu tonight."

His words sounded so sweet to her as they gazed into each others eyes. Kaliyah could feel the butterflies dancing in her stomach like crazy now.

"Unt unt Dayvon. I'm not about to let you just send one of your homeboys to my friends like that. No thank you."

She snapped, giving him a look.

"Do you trust me or not Kaliyah? I just gotta know."

He questioned.

Kaliyah eye'd him skeptically before letting out a deep sigh. For some reason, she did trust him. He seemed genuinely sincere with everything he was saying to her. Dayvon just watched as she chewed the inside of her cheek before slowly giving in.

"I trust you."

She finally said, earning a small grin from him. He just gently grabbed a hold of her hand again, linking his fingers with hers.

"Come on then, stubborn ass lil girl. Dealing witchu is like pulling teeth."

He snickered. Kaliyah just scoffed at him as he began to lead the way. She followed him down the driveway toward his car.

Every part of her just felt like this was all a bad idea. Leaving Asian's birthday party and sneaking off with Von? I'm no better than the next hoe.

Kaliyah thought quietly to herself. But another part of her couldn't help but feel excited. She had to admit, she did love the feeling that Von gave her. She wasn't sure what he wanted exactly from her, or why he so badly wanted to leave the party with her. She just knew that she would find out soon.

Just a few feet away, standing at the entrance of the mansion, Rubi watched as both Von and Kaliyah drove off in his car. A slight mug was plastered all over her face as she witnessed the entire ordeal.
