"Come on now Nia I don't got all day. Niggas don't know why you don't just stay home." Trey yelled from downstairs.
Nia was busy spraying setting spray on her face. Grumbling under her breath as her brother pressed her to hurry up. "I'm not missing school Trey! Here I come!"
Nia hated being rushed but she knew her brother wouldn't leave her. If he did she'd complain to him all day. Trey knew Nia hated missing school, she always felt like you miss one day and your years behind. She didn't care if she was thirty minutes late already, that didn't mean she was about to miss the whole day.
Finally Nia got up from her vanity and made her way across the room to grab her book bag and slip her glasses on her face.
"About Damn time." Trey said as soon as Nia was at the bottom of the steps. Her older brother was always rushing her like he had an actual job to check into everyday.
Trey was a drug dealer, always mobile when he wanted to be and made good money off it. He took care of Nia and his mother even though they both hated where his money came from but still loved Trey despite his occupation.
"Can we just go! I'm already late." Nia says as she rushed to grab her lunch bag out the fridge, a bagel she made earlier in hand along with a large water bottle. Her hands were filled as she made her way to her brother's black hellcat already heated up in the cold weather.
It didn't take long for Nia to get to school. Only around 15 minutes. She had finished her breakfast and put her water bottle in its respective place on the side of her book bag by the time they arrived.
"See you Bug, don't be stressing bout that school shit too much. I love you."
Nia shook her head with a small smile at her brother's mouth. "I love you to Trey."
Then she got out her brother's car, put her book bag on and headed inside the building. Nia didn't really interact as soon as she got into the school building, she just liked to put her beats on and zone out so she could get her brain ready to take in all this information for the day.
Nia was currently three months into her senior year and was doing as good as she possibly could be. All A's at the moment just how she liked it. Nia always had good grades because she worked hard and only ever focused on school. Nothing other than school could affect her so if something was wrong with her it was most likely her schooling.
Nia went to three periods and then it was lunch time. She didn't have any real conversations yet just listened to her music and did her work. In the halls people spoke to her just from knowing her in classes in such and of course she gave them a smile and a small hey before going about her day.
But at lunch that's when she saw her favorite girl, Mya. Mya was always nice to everybody in school, she was everybody's friend. Nia was real selfish about her friends and just anyone she was close with but she didn't do that with Mya since she knew no doubt that Mya would still flourish with everyone and she wasn't one to hold anyone back. Deep down Nia wanted someone to be selfish about her how she is about everyone else that matters.

The girls laughed and hugged one another as if they didn't see each other just yesterday. Nia went right on and sat next to Mya who was sitting with some of her other friends. All Mya other friends spoke to Nia since they all were pretty cool Nia was just only close with Mya.
"Girl was you late again this morning?" Mya questioned while picking around at the nasty school lunch on her plate that she was not about to eat.
"Yes I wanted to finish my homework and eat breakfast. I didn't miss much though got right into it you know." Nia shrugged it off like it was nothing and it really wasn't to her. Mya already knew that to, nodding right with her.
Mya and Nia had some light conversation, they just talked about chill shit and what they each did when they got home. Nia listened to the other people in the table talk to but didn't comment like Mya did, felt no need for her to.
The end of the day rolled around soon after lunch. Nia only had two more classes after lunch and happily those were with Mya so it only made her day better. When she stepped out of school her brother's car was right there waiting for her and she hurried to get in cause she was ready to gooo. Nia just wanted to go home, get in the bath and curl up in her bed in her silk robe and fresh face.
"We Rey stop by my boss trap real quick." Trey said as soon as she got in the car. Making her mentally roll her eyes but not actually doing it.
"Can't you just drop me home? I don't feel like being out Trey."
"It's out the way and it won't be long. Just sit back and relax." Nia really rolled her eyes this time at her brother's response but she just did what he asked.
Nia took her phone out her pocket and put an AirPod in to watch TikTok's during the ride. When they pulled up it was a horrible neighborhood just decent and the houses were separated. She only saw one guy sitting on the porch of the house her brother was going into but she was sure more could be outside with all the cars parked around.
Nia just put her head back down and minded her business. She looked at the clock on the top of her screen from time to time, timing how long her brother was taking. She was chilling until it hit an hour and she was getting impatient. Nia tapped her foot, her phone was long closed now and she just wanted to go home.
Nia had never been inside the trap before but people knew who her brother was and nobody inside should be messing with her. So she decided to get out.
'This man wanna be taking his sweet ole time.' She thought while rolling her eyes.
Nia opened the car door and stepped out, just as she did a loud ass Srt came pulling into the empty drive way. It was a lot of cars around but ironically none were parked in the driveway to the house.
She quickly figured out why when this tall man got out the car. Didn't even have to pull his pants up cause they were secure on his body with his belt. His long dreads were slightly in his face but he moved them and tucked his phone in his pocket. He had on a black essentials sweat suit but she could spot a dainty but nice chain on his neck. Along with rings on his fingers. She could tell all his jewelry was real and looked real good from afar, probably even better in person.
Nia felt like a weird statue just standing there looking at him when he wasn't paying her not no mind at all. She felt like some lil girl compared to him even though she was already eighteen. Her school uniform that consisted of a skirt, button up shirt and blazer did not help her case at all.
"Yo Nia! Get yo ass back in the car!" She heard Treys voice, snapping her out of her staring down the guy with the Srt.
"You-you was taking to long! I was Rey come get you." She says, holding her ground so she ain't look like some kid right now. Why did she care anyway.
"What girl you got at my trap Trey?" A voice said, entering their conversation now making Nia turn back to the Srt guy. His voice sounded so deep and chill. Like he was so relaxed but also so dominant at the same time.
"My bad boss this my sister Nia. Nia this my Boss."
Nia looked at her brothers boss, who was now looking down on Nia. Of course Nia was shorter than this man. She was 5'6, not small at all but he had to be at least 6'4
"Well hi 'boss' since I didn't get your name." She says, slightly sassing at her brother but that wasn't nothing.
"You can call me Caine. People round here usually call me boss so they not used to using my name unless I allow them to."
Nia hummed like his authority meant nothing to her. I mean why should it?
"Well can y'all just hurry up please. It's the weekend and I'm tryna get home and relaxed." Trey was giving Nia some type of look after she said that but she didn't pay it no mind. Just turning her ass round and getting back into the car. Even rolled her window up to show she was staying out of their conversation but also rushing them to hurry it along.
Now Nia was back in her right mind she knew that she wanted to get home if anything. She did get to see a cute boy- well man to her. She couldn't help but still look at him from the corner of her eye. She knew he could see her doing it because of her brother's tints.
The boys talked for while before her brother stalked back off into the house making her roll her eyes and slightly tap her nail on the center console.
'I wish he hu-'
Her thoughts were cut off as some knocking was done to the window.
It was Caine.
Nia brought her eyebrows in a little bit before she rolled the window down and looked up at him who was only slightly leaning down to the car window.
"You going to do this favor for me ma."
