Metal against itself and glass is the sound that echoes alongside laughter and chatter in the beautiful apartment of Hyunjin and Felix, the table is filled with delicious food and all four of their plates are full, including Chan and Seungmin's whom Felix had invited over for dinner. though it was Chan's idea that Hyunjin and Felix come over to his place for dinner because he wanted the brunette to meet Seungmin outside of the hospital, Felix insisted that he be the host and here they were, with an arch bow aimed at Hyunjin and he just prays that it gets shot because he hates being here
even if Felix had consulted it with him first, insisted that the three of them could just go out and have dinner Hyunjin didn't agree because he didn't want to let go of the only time he had with Felix due to his busy schedule, even if it meant he had to tolerate Chan. wine burns down his throat as he takes another big gulp of it, this was the only good thing about this dinner, the expensive merlot Chan had brought and oh--not to forget Felix's brownies, that definitely has to be the best thing about this entire day
"How is Hyunjin's work?" Chan questions, directing the fork toward his mouth as he munches on his food "Oh incredible, he barely has time to spare but it's going well" Chan knew the only way this dinner could work is if no one except for Felix addresses Hyunjin, and if he had any questions regarding him he'd just ask the brunette and he'd answer for him. he even told Seungmin to just preteend that the 'grinch-esque black haired boy' is a red zone and it's best to pretend he's not even there unless he talks to you first, which won't happen, and it hasn't.
Seungmin was confused of course but he didn't question any further. The nurse did have some interactions with Hyunjin back at the hospital and though they were always professional Hyunjin's behavior was nevertheless a little sour but Seungmin just always assumed that Hyunjin was stressed about Felix and gave him a pass
"What about you? you bounced back too quickly" Chan scolds the brunette passively as he hands Seungmin a napkin and the boy takes it gratefully "I didn't! I am prefectly fine" The doctor eyes Felix for a second before he nods his head, even if he doesn't believe him he knows that Hyunjin will never let him go back to work if he isn't fine and the notion of that eases his mind. a warm hand intertwined with Hyunjin's gives him enough courage to live through this harrowing dinner as he rushes down another glass of wine and pours himself another
Felix catches the incessant consumption of alcohol and he turns around to look at him, investigating through his eyes if the raven head is okay and can bear through this dinner for a while longer or if he needs to make up an excuse and send him off into the bedroom so he can be alone, after having found nothing he squeezes Hyunjin's hand gently to send a signal as the aforementioned turns to look at him, raising his brows and questing him "are you okay?" Felix speaks lowly so his voice won't reach the other couple as he inches closer to Hyunjin and the raven-haired nods, relaxing back in his seat he twirls his wine glass in his hand throwing a soft smile at the brunette who reciprocates and turns back to the couple
The night slips away rather quickly and Hyunjin is delighted when he finds himself in bed with the brunette, his chest pressed against Felix's back as he cuddles him. hiding his face in the crook of his neck and inhaling the sweet scent of him, smiling contentedly because no matter how rough of a day he has, returning to his beloved and being with him always makes up for it.

Hyunjin would not have this bitter expression on his face if he was in bed and cuddling with Felix instead of here, watching Junho, his wife, and his son; Yang Jeongin all laugh about something incredibly foolish the CEO had said, though Felix was laughing too his laugh could never be compared to the disgusting sound of these people's noises. a puff of air rushes past the raven haired's mouth as he quietly eats his food, waiting for this night to be over
It was another suffering moment of sitting through dinner with some stupid people and listening to their stupid conversations, faking a smile when Felix squeezes his hand and getting tipsy off of expensive alcohol because lord knows without the brunette by his side and a delicious glass of wine in his hand, there will be bullets and deaths and Hyunjin would definitely be one to blame. the dinner was arranged by Junho so he could introduce Hyunjin to his family and also meet the guy who is the only subject Hyunjin will ever be willing to talk about
Hyunjin is an incredibly silent person around strangers, not just at work but everywhere else he goes and that has been very difficult for Junho who is desperate to get to know Hyunjin, yet all of his attempts are futile as most of their conversations go like this; 'do you like champagne?' perfectly normal question yet no response 'is there a place you'd like to visit?' another completely standard one that goes unanswered 'Do you like working here?' and another one 'who is that boy on your screen?' but apparently, this invasion of privacy and slightly bizarre question is worth going off on a rant for 15 minutes about the entire history of Lee Felix, and what a divine deity he is and how incredible everything he does is.
and ever since then, Junho has been dying to meet Felix or get to know more about him, assuming if he did so he would automatically be closer to Hyunjin. and here they were, having dinner and getting along just as Junho had wished "I love to bake too! but I stink at it" his wife; Sohyun squealed as she sulked while her husband agreed "That is true, she excels at everything and I love her entirely but I would not eat a single dessert she's baked even with a gun to my head" Felix lets a mere gasp slip through his lips as he turns to look at Sohyun who nods and pouts "I'm sure she's not that bad" The brunette shrugs and Jeongin snickers
"oh yeah, we'll see if you stick to that after you try the carrot cake she made last night" he mumbles and stuffs his mouth with food. Hyunjin nearly cringes at the mention of the dessert and Felix clicks his tongue "Surely you exaggerate" The conversation goes on and Hyunjin finds himself staring fondly at his beloved, so fascinated by how confident he looks, how prettily he talks and how perfect everything he says is. his choice of words, his way of saying them, the smile he has on, and the way his eyes look around in between the family and pay measured attention to all of them
a sigh escapes his lips before he looks away and continues eating his food because he doesn't want to be the 'creepy guy staring non-stop at his friend' at dinner. a smile romances his lips and he can't help the fact that suddenly, this dinner just got tenfold less disgusting. In all honesty, this evening was nothing like what Felix had pictured. he presumed Hyunjin's boss' family would be stuck-up snobs who'd rather not speak to someone like him and the rest of the dinner would just go painfully slow and in silence but it was the exact opposite of it, the Yangs were incredibly friendly, and welcoming and the sheer fear and nervousness Felix had in him before he stepped on their premise had almost vanished now
he feels barely any pressure as they converse about how Sohyun needs baking classes from Felix and how dead-serious she is about it. though before it can go further a meow takes Felix out of the conversation as he turns to look at the floor, finding a beautiful cat sitting by his seat and yawning. a smile immediately finds its way on his face as the cat jumps on his lap and gets comfortable "Oh no, Elise" Sohyun clicks her tongue as she stands up from her seat but Felix immediately disagrees "No, please, it's fine" he assures the woman who looks at him for a second before sitting down again
It would've been, if Hyunjin hadn't been sitting next to him with that very visible grimace on his face, glaring at the cat that was purring in Felix's lap as if it was karma. the look gets caught by the youngest at the table as he begins a conversation with Hyunjin, in hopes of befriending him because he's been trying all night to impress the older "Hyung, do you not like cats?" he questions sweetly and the attention of everyone else shifts from Felix and Elise to Hyunjin and his abominable facial expressions
"No" the reply is curt as Felix turns to look at him, their eyes meet and the brunette realizes he should probably shift further away from him. before he can scoot in his seat a hand grabs his arm as Hyunjin shakes his head no, allowing him that it's fine and he can stay close even with that creature in his lap. "but didn't you have one?" Junho questions, the wine glass meeting his lips as Hyunjin nods, his eyes still fixated on the food
"It's Felix's" The answer is short and no one at the table questions further "You have a cat?" Sohyun quests, clearly excited by the declaration and Hyunjin wants to shove this entire bottle of wine down her throat just so she can shut up, surely he was being meaner than usual because he has imagined numerous ways he could sew Jeongin's mouth shut just so he won't call him Hyung
"Yes, his name's Nabi and he's an absolute delight" the woman squeals at Felix's reply, clapping her hands in joy "That's wonderful! we should totally arrange a play-date for these two" Sohyun looked like she'd levitate in zeal as a wide grin illuminated her face and Hyunjin fought the urge to roll his eyes, who was she? the committee member of Emily Gilmore's DAR? Only those ladies with no passion in life except for judging others could muster much enthusiasm for a stupid cat play date, Hyunjin's thoughts, not mine.
Time clicks away and Hyunjin has never wished for it to go faster, even after an hour or two of chatting these people just don't run out of things to say and he wants to hate on them like the hater he is but he can't help but notice just how cheery Felix is. though the brunette is always a warm presence it's visible that the four of them are getting on well and Hyunjin doesn't want to be the one that taints a white cloth with his red wine.
soon enough the steer of the table's conversation is led to somewhere Hyunjin doesn't like and before he can even acknowledge it let alone protest, the bullet is out of the gun "I'm sure Hyunjin will enjoy Paris, You should come too Felix, though it's strictly a business trip I'm sure the two of you could use a vacation" the raven-haired boy had completely zoned out for the past fifteen minutes and he was only paying attention to the hand in his hand and the drink in his other, dinner's over and desserts been served yet he has no clue of what they were talking about but now that Junho had mentioned his name and Paris a wind of shock rushes past him and he turns to look at the old man
"What?" he questions and it really should be Felix who says this as the brunette turns to look at him, eyebrows furrowed as a diminishing smile leaves its marks behind on his lips "Paris?" he queries, tilting his head slightly when Hyunjin meets his gaze and grits his teeth before diverting his eyes on the man again "You don't have to worry about him, he's going at my expense" The boy clears his throat and sits straight, removing the napkin from his lap and readying to leave. Felix wasn't having any dessert anyway and neither was he so this would be the perfect time to get the living hell out of here
"Oh, well..." Junho could've said something, he had a lot to say even, but he kept his mouth shut knowing Hyunjin would appreciate not a single penny worth of his words "Great to hear" He smiled warmly at the two and Felix is still very much confused, eyes frantically going from Hyunjin to Junho before they end on Hyunjin. a crinkle in between his brows appears as the two of them get up from their seats "We'll be leaving, now" the taller of the two mumbles and turns around. the brunette sighs inaudibly, understanding that they'll talk about this once they're away from the Yangs as he holds Hyunjin's forearm while his other hand is already firmly held by the raven head
the duo walks over to the main gate followed by the family and before they can reach the main gate Felix turns around and bows "Thank you very much for the dinner, it was an immense pleasure meeting you" Sohyun chuckles at his politeness as she smiles and pulls him in a side hug, Hyunjin wants to clench his jaw but he does nothing
"Come around again, Felix" the brunette smiles pulling away from the dazzling woman "Thank you for having us over, Mr. Yang" another courteous greeting by the brunette as Junho chuckles and shakes his head "I should thank you and Hyunjin for coming over" Felix smiles at the man before his eyes fall over Jeongin
"I hope you're not gonna thank me" the dimpled boy makes Felix chuckle and shake his head "I am! You were a splendid host" The walls are filled with mere laughter and Hyunjin just wanted a bullet in his head if it weren't for Felix. the freckled boy turns to look at Hyunjin who is glad this greeting is finally over but little does he know, it's really not. A wiggle is added to Felix's brows and it takes him a second or two to realize what the brunette wants from him. With a drawn-out sigh, he bows slightly and greets the family "Thank you" It wasn't the best but progress is progress and Felix appreciates it.
"I would offer you boys a ride home but I'm very sure Hyunjin wouldn't appreciate that" Junho adds and Hyunjin nods "I wouldn't" With that being said a last bow is added from Felix as they make their way out of the large door and the cold air blows against their faces. the brunette exhales a sigh, he can't believe November is almost here, time truly flies. it's cold but Felix is glad Hyunjin's warmth is right next to him as they make their way over to the cab but the raven head pulls him over to stop right in the middle of the massive mansion's yard
"I'm sorry about that" Hyunjin mumbles, looking down at his feet as Felix stands before him "About what?" he questions and wraps his arms around himself to deceive the chilly weather "The Paris thing, I was going to tell you at the right time but that fucker ruined it all" Felix is still not following but what's more important is that he doesn't want Hyunjin to feel bad "it's fine, Jinnie" he assures the boy who shakes his head and looks away "it's not fine, I wanted to tell you and then watch you do the whole gasp thing you do," the raven head continues as he takes his hands out of his jeans' pockets and begins acting like Felix
"oh my god! we're going to Paris?! Hyunnie, that's so amazing" A gasp slips through his lips as he shakes his hands in the air and squeals while Felix stands there, mouth apart in complete shock as he fights the gasp to break the stereotype Hyunjin has set of him "I do not behave like that" he shakes his head in dismay and Hyunjin clicks his tongue "it's not something bad, I like it! and then I would've gotten a hug but that shit-tard ripped me off of my opportunity of seeing your pretty smile and getting a nice hug" Hyunjin stomps his foot on the pavement like a child and Felix is seconds away from melting into a puddle of affection
"tell me why we're going to Paris" he bites down his smile and ignores Hyunjin's adorable antics as the boy looks into his eyes and the brunette puts on a tough face "I'm going there with my team for a business situation and I was gonna take you there with me, I saved up some money from the promotion and I wanted to take you someplace nice. besides, it's tough enough I have to tolerate them for half a day without you, I can't do it any more than that" his cheeks are almost puffed as he sulks incessantly and Felix's heart does a somersault at the sight
Hyunjin was being sneaky with the fact that he was fulfilling yet another wish of the brunette but it caused neither of them any harm so he didn't find the fact worthy enough to be shared "So we're going to Paris?" Felix questions and his underwhelmed reaction boils Hyunjin's blood who huffs and stares at him sadly before he nods "Yes, we're going to Paris but you don't have to if you don't-" A loud gasp is followed by a squeal as Felix squirms with his hands in the air "Oh my god! we're going to Paris?! Hyunnie, that's so amazing" and before the raven head can comprehend a warm body is pressed against his as Felix pulls him into a tight hug
he waits a second before he chuckles and wraps his arms around Felix's waist, closing his eyes and basking in the delightful warmth of the boy as he replays his smile in his head and exhales a deep puff of breath when they part slightly from the hug, eyes locked with one another and before anything else can happen warm lips are pressing against Hyunjin's cheek sending shockwaves down his spine. the ravenhead's eyes widen and crimson spreads over his cheeks as Felix smiles mischievously, coated with shyness. "well, thanks to him you got a kiss too"
he mumbles and Hyunjin exhales the puff of air that got stuck in his throat and turns to look at Felix "I fucking love that guy" the brunette laughs at his comment and holds his hand, dragging him toward the cab "Just so you know, I've never been on a plane before and I will definitely be a pain"

and he was true to his words, a big pain. not to Hyunjin but to himself. it has been two hours since they got on this flight and since the plane took off but the brunette boy still has his eyes squeezed and is still clinging to Hyunjin's arm as if him opening his eyes or so much so as parting from Hyunjin will cause the plane to directly go into hell and they'd all be blown up to pieces of flesh, or some other gore way he's thought they're all gonna die ever since he's been informed of being here. every night for the past two days this boy has relentlessly had nightmares of having a plane crash or their plane getting lost in the sky and never being found again like that one movie he saw
Hyunjin of course was at his aid and even offered that neither of them go but Felix refused and here they were. the raven head sighs deeply and rubs Felix's hand with both of his, kissing his knuckles as he looks over to the brunette who is taking deep breaths to ease his frantically beating heart "Baby, are you okay?" comes Hyunjin's soothing voice and there's a shake of no from Felix's side as the boy hides away in the raven head further and inhales his scent to calm himself down
"Do you want to listen to music?" Hyunjin isn't really sure what he can do to help the boy's irrational fear of flying, he even has the window cover down and is doing his best at what he can do but it's certainly not working "Just talk to me, tell me about things" Hyunjin inhales a deep breath and looks around trying to think of things to talk about, usually he has so much to say that he finds it hard to shut up but now that he needs it most, he's drawing a blank "tell me about you work drama" Felix mumbles through closed eyes, taking the hint of how Hyunjin had suddenly silenced clearly struggling with a topic
and so Hyunjin does, tells the boy about his co-worker who was having an extra marital affair in the office and is now fired and it helps ease the brunette's fear who now rests his head on Hyunjin's shoulder and keeps his hands locked with Hyunjin's as he listens to the elder's calming voice. his thoughts drift off to Nabi while Hyunjin's voice blends beautifully with the background as he wonders if Nabi must be doing well with the Yangs, he initially wanted to drop him off at Chan's but considering the man's tough schedule he's barely home so that was indefinitely a no
his second option was Yeonjun now that they were fine again, the misunderstandings were clear and apologies were made but he knew despite the fact that Hyunjin wants nothing to do with Nabi he still wouldn't like him being with Yeonjun so he scratched that too. lastly, Hyejin, but considering the fact that the girl had just given birth and no matter how much she insists she's fine and can take care of Nabi, Felix didn't find it ethical so he considered Sohyun's offer of babysitting Nabi while the two fly off to Paris.
a sigh slips out from his lips as he leans into Hyunjin's touch and finds comfort in it, his safety returning as Hyunjin wraps his arm around Felix's shoulder and presses a kiss on his head, continuing to talk about complete rubbish until he knows the brunette was fast asleep.

15 hours later, Felix and Hyunjin were finally in the comfort of a warm and soft bed as they twisted around and cuddled against one another, groaning in both pleasure and muscle cramps "I hate flying" confessed Felix as the raven head laughed, turning to look at Felix "oh you do? I could've sworn you were having the time of your life" he sarcastically smiled making Felix whine and smack his chest playfully "Hyunjin!" the brunette whines while Hyunjin chuckles, wrapping an arm around his stomach, pulling him close to his own body as he presses a kiss on his forehead. Felix sighed and intertwined his hand with the one that was snaking around his waist and settled on his stomach, his back pressing against Hyunjin's chest
a sigh of relief escaped both of their lips as Hyunjin nuzzles his nose into Felix's neck, inhaling the scent of the body wash the brunette has used. it felt familiar because Hyunjin used the same and it felt nice, to smell the same as Felix. "you should sleep, Jinnie, you have that meeting of yours in just a few hours" the brunette offered, tracing Hyunjin's veins on his arm and hand while the raven head ignores his words and snuggles deeper into his nape, letting his hot breath fan against Felix's cold skin and raise goosebumps
Felix wants to exhale a breath but it's stuck within his chest as he feels the hand of the raven head drawing circles on the fabric over his stomach sending shivers down Felix's back. his breath is replaced by his lips and Felix nearly crumbles at the contact, eyes shutting and the breath that was seemingly stuck earlier finally finds itself out and meets the air of Paris and Hyunjin departs his warm lips away from Felix's skin "I can think of a million better things to do than sleep" he whispers, so low and so dangerously close to Felix's ear that it makes him want to melt into the sheets as the raven head lets his lips graze against the shell of his ear and lets his breath ring in his conscience
Hyunjin's arm tightens around Felix's stomach and the brunette unknowingly tucks himself back into the taller's body, almost like he's unaware of his actions and he's just giving into whatever his heart asks him to do "You must be tired, you need sleep" Felix whispers but his body is going against whatever his lips are uttering, hand tightly clenched around Hyunjin's wrist and he's just waiting for whatever comes next "I'm not tired and I don't need sleep, what I need is," Hyunjin utters, getting up from the bed and helping the brunette in lying down on his back with the help of his hands that grab the sides of his hips
their eyes meet and fires are lit, both within them and around them as Felix gulps watching the raven head tower over him. his knees on each side of the brunette's hips and arms on each side of his head as he leans in and whispers "you" the words catch Felix's world by a storm and his heart almost immediately gives out as he wraps his arms around Hyunjin's neck and both of the boys lean in for a kiss simultaneously, throwing their tiredness right out of the window.
And that's how Felix spent his first night of ever being in a foreign country, that's how both of them spent their first night in Paris together.

to say Felix was in love with this city would be an understatement, everything about it was just the best of the best. the weather, the architecture, the food, the streets, and quite literally everything! (except for the people, most of them were rude but Felix didn't necessarily mind, he'd dealt with rude people all his life and a little bit of French attitude couldn't hurt the boy) because of Hyunjin's busy schedule, he left early this morning after their heated session of intimacy, fighting the jetlag was hard for the boy but he did nevertheless while the brunette slept through the whole afternoon which was highly unlike him
when he'd woken, Hyunjin had already ordered room service for him and he enjoyed the delicious food. after having done so, a shower and outfit change was the second thing on his list before he left the hotel and explored the city, Hyunjin had asked him to do stuff on his own for the time being until the raven head was done with work because he didn't want Felix to be stuck in the hotel room. Felix could've disagreed and argued but there really was no harm in going out on his own a little before he could go around with Hyunjin
looking around the blond loved every architecture he passed and when he was done strolling the streets he decided to take a little break in a cute café before he went back to the hotel. beige walls and intricate decor, the café reminded him of something he'd seen on a screen, so beautifully perfect that it felt bizarre to be sitting in it. a sigh left his lips as he ordered his food with little difficulty as he wasn't used to speaking English, but the hours he'd spent all alone in his apartment when Hyunjin was out and about learning the said language were definitely paying off.
the food shortly arrived and the brunette smiled in glee at the sweet scent of the hot mocha and pain-au-chocolat, it was the most basic order in existence but he was happy with it and nothing else really mattered. A quick snap of the food was clicked and sent to Hyunjin before he dug in on the delight. basking in the warmth of the café Felix looked out at the world that was bustling and cold, the scenery reminded him of last year, last November when he had also been in a café except he was working there and wasn't in the complete glory of The City of Love
the difference between his life back then and now really makes him wonder how it all changed by just a single bump and what would have happened if he never felt the urge to go out that night of July. a sigh withers his lips as he pays for his food and leaves, the bell above his head ringing at his departure before the warmth was left behind and rough licks of cold were sticking to his face and everywhere else, he tightens his brown coat around his small frame as his thoughts continue to echo sounds of what could've been if he hadn't met Hyunjin and he can't really remember when he stumbled back to the hotel
it was nearing sundown and Felix was seated in the soft sheets as he flipped through the pages of some book that was set on the nightstand when the door opened and revealed a rough-looking Hyunjin. the brunette's gaze shot up to whoever entered his room before a smile lit up his face and he immediately stepped off of the bed, out from the comfort of the sheets, and onto the carpeted ground, both of them took steps and met in the middle of the room, Felix's arms sprung around Hyunjin's neck instantaneously and Hyunjin's snaked around his waist, pulling his body close to himself and sighing in content
"I missed you so much" comes a mumble from Hyunjin and a short but sweet giggle from Felix "I did too" They part from the hug just enough that they can stare at each other as Hyunjin leans in and presses a gentle kiss on the brunette's forehead "have you eaten anything? you look pale?" Felix voices his concern as the smile on his lips falters and his hands raise to cup Hyunjin's face "I'm fine, I forgot to eat but I had coffee" The brunette's eyebrows knit together as his hands fall from his face to Hyunjin's wrists and he directs the raven head to the bed, helping him sit down as he stands in between his legs and cards his fingers in Hyunjin's hair who holds him by his waist
"How can you forget to eat? I reminded you like three times" Felix sulked, though the boy didn't like being annoying when Hyunjin was working he also knew that Hyunjin tended to forget entirely about himself and his health and needed to be reminded of, therefore Felix needs to do the job. a sigh echoes as Hyunjin closes his eyes and rests the side of his face on Felix's stomach "Did you eat anything?" the brunette hums "Medicine?" another hum echoes as Felix's magic fingers work their wonder and makes Hyunjin's headache vanish within seconds just by grazing against his scalp
"do you want to take a warm shower?" the brunette asks and Hyunjin groans just at the idea of having to do anything else other than cuddle with the freckled boy "Will you join me?" the sudden and bold question catches Felix off guard as he looks down at Hyunjin in complete surprise, his cheeks tainted red as he clears his throat "what?" it shouldn't have come out as quivery as it did "do you wanna shower with me?" Hyunjin looks up, resting his chin on Felix's stomach and staring into the eyes of the brunette. Felix wants to laugh it off but his breath is lost and so are his senses. it takes him a second or two before he can finally muster up a reply
"Why would I? I've already bathed" he looks away, trying to hide the crimson on his cheeks, and doesn't question the bizarre question whatsoever as Hyunjin chuckles and gets up from the bed, kissing his forehead one last time as he makes his way toward the washroom and disappears behind the door.

Luckily for the two, Hyunjin was done with his work exceptionally quickly and his team had already taken off to go back while the two of them stayed behind. the weather had gone down from freezing to a decent chill and it all lined up perfectly as they visited numerous museums, cafés, and tourist spots while Hyunjin took at least a thousand pictures of Felix at every location and spot. Paris was wonderful and it felt like it. it's been two days including today since they've been traveling around the city, going back to the hotel room late at night because jet lag is not their bestest of friends.
and now was their last night in the city before morning came and they flew away back to Korea. hand in hand the two boys were walking to some place Hyunjin had told Felix was the prettiest in the city, and of course, the brunette agreed to go right away. climbing a set of stairs to some old building Felix clung tightly to Hyunjin's arm, unaware of where they were heading and skeptical of his surroundings. the stairs never seemed to end until they finally did as they stood in front of a metal door which Hyunjin creaked open and revealed the sight of a marvelous roof top
a smile decorated the raven head's face as he led the way and walked inside the rooftop but something held him back, a force. he turns around and faces Felix with confusion "What's wrong?" he is immediately concerned about why the brunette doesn't want to go further "Hyunnie, this is very high" The raven head furrows his brows and stares into Felix's eyes, he was never made aware that the boy was scared of heights "are you scared?" he questions and Felix shakes his head "then?" "what about you?" it took Hyunjin a second to acknowledge what Felix was referring to before he finally sighed deeply and tugged at the brunette's hand
"I'm fine" he insisted but Felix didn't budge from his place "It's really high, Hyunjin. I don't--" Felix was cut off when he was harshly pulled toward Hyunjin, stumbling over his feet and slamming against the raven head as he huffed and the other boy smiled, looking at each other. "I'm sorry, baby, but I had to. I promise I'm fine" A ruffle to his hair and Felix found his nerves relaxing as he sighed and held Hyunjin's hand and they strode toward the railing to take in the beautiful view of the city
breathtaking, that was the best word to use to describe this view. it was utterly and phenomenally breathtaking like no other scenery in the world could ever compete with it. lights spread out everywhere the eye could go, the tower---the infamous tower named Eifel stood so stunningly in the axis of their sights that it looked like it was a beacon of light by the way it was glimmering, though far off they could still see how magnificent it was. building and alleyways all shimmered with similar lights of yellow, blue, and white. everywhere their eyes went it looked like the city was alive, like it's speaking through the bustle of its sound and the hustle of the wind howling
the ebony sky is dark and every single star is shining and vivid, the waxing gibbious moon is glimmering in its glory and the night couldn't have gotten prettier. a gasp slips through Felix's lips as he tilts his head around to take in the stunning scenery that is spread out before him like a bedazzled tapestry. Hyunjin enjoys it of course but not without sweaty palms, a drumming heart, and weak knees to the point he can't even feel them anymore. he turns around and looks at Felix, finding the boy utterly in awe as he quickly fishes out his mobile phone and clicks a picture of the beauty next to him
Felix looks like a God in this lightening, with all of the city lights shining bright against his face and the moon from above accentuating every single feature of his'. plump lips that are rosy as the fruit Eve was tempted to eat and glossy like the shiniest of gems, a tiny nose that is both cute and charming decorated by freckles all across it and across his cheeks much like the stars above. his eyes were a marvel, a landscape that glimmered brighter than the stars in winter skies and brighter than all of these city lights. Hyunjin's fear slipped out of his body like snow from a frozen leaf as he gulped and drank in the sight of the angel
Felix was as captivating as a siren deep underwater, luring men above the sea. or like a nymph or an diety that is bathed in moonlight and bedecked in gold. he was beautiful in every language in the universe. in every meaning of the word and in every sense. To say Hyunjin was enchanted was an understatement, he'd seen this face a million times, fallen in love with it a trillion times, and still, the sight of Felix never fails to make Hyunjin wonder if he was even real or just a figment of his imagination, just something completely perfect his brain had managed to come up with
perhaps Hyunjin had been transported into some fantasy folktale and he was witnessing the sight of a godly fairy, or some mystical land to which Felix was the owner of. and like under a spell, Hyunjin was unable to move even a limb after he had successfully put his mobile phone back in his pocket and now he stood like a statue just gazing at Felix and his ethereal face. the brunette turned around with a wide smile on his face and found Hyunjin's eyes already on himself, his smile turned shy and withered away as his heart began racing and scarlet kissed his cheeks turning them into freshly blossomed petals of a rose.
eyes meeting and everything soon fades into nothing, even the glamours scenery of Paris couldn't keep the boys entertained enough to keep their eyes off of one another. "are you scared?" comes a whisper from Felix and it gets lost in the chilly air of Paris before it can dwindle "of?" Hyunjin replies, too dazed to speak properly "Here" Felix seems to be beguiled too because his words are cut short and there's a haze in his eyes that previously occupied Hyunjin's. the raven shook his head no truthfully before his eyes fell down to Felix's lips and the brunette did the same, gaze lingering over Hyunjin's plump lips before they shared a breath of hesitance and locked eyes again
it was obvious that there was a mist of desire that surrounded them and it didn't take either of the boys long enough to acknowledge it as Hyunjin leaned in, turning his body toward the brunette and cupping his face from one hand as Felix did the same. not a single second needed to be passed before their lips were connected and the line between heaven and earth blurred. angels descended to mankind's residence and sprinkled the shimmering dust of paradise all over it, coating it in a luster of love and brilliance
their lips move in unison, and their hearts glow in the gleam of affection and bliss. Felix's hand raises to clutch Hyunjin's leather jacket as he shifts closer to the taller, the heat of his body radiating onto Felix. their tongues share stories and salivas interexchange before they pull away and pat breathlessly, noses against one another as smiles bedazzle their faces and the world ceases to nothing but a fragrant flower
"You're my treasure" the confession comes from none other than Hyunjin as he sighs and wraps his arms around Felix's waist, hiding his face in his neck and pressing a kiss against his skin as he leans down and rests his head on the brunette's shoulder who smiles and wraps his arms around his neck. Felix doesn't say anything and Hyunjin doesn't need him to. The boy presses a kiss into Hyunjin's hair and rubs his palms on his nape "You're mine too" Felix sighs at his incompetence but he doesn't let it ruin this beautiful moment he's sharing with Hyunjin
no matter how much time passes, this minute they are living in right now will forever be etched into the canvas of their minds like the most prized painting.
the clock ticks but they remain in each other's arms for a while despite the cold air that passes by them. nothing seems to have bothered them until Felix's ears catch onto something and his eyes which were shut earlier shoot open. surprise runs through his veins, his heart begins beating dramatically as he quickly turns his neck toward the open railing and tries to focus on the sound that's ringing in his ears. it's music, a song that no matter what he does he will never be able to forget. upon the mere sound of it, so many memories come flooding and Felix is quickly overwhelmed as they part from the hug
Hyunjin stares at him perplexed while Felix frantically looks over the railing, gripping the metal and keeping his sole attention on the song. Hyunjin doesn't speak and seconds later Felix turns to him "Is there an event nearby?" he questions and Hyunjin shrugs his shoulder "Must be, do you wanna go check it out?" the raven head doesn't really know what's going on but if Felix wants to go to said event then they must. Felix doesn't let a second slip away as he quickly nods.

Hyunjin doesn't know why they're going over to a local event right now but here they are, running through the streets of Paris and pushing past people to get to the small field where the unknown event is held. the security is tight and Hyunjin is unsure if they will be able to get tickets while the show has already started as they make their way through the crowd and stand before the entrance "Pass?" the bodyguard questions him in French and thanks to Hyunjin's rusty French skills he was able to pick up what he said "No" the raven head replies and if Felix wasn't focused on getting in that field he would've been swooned by both his accent and skills
"You can buy one over there" The man points to a far-off corner where there's a small stall with only a few passes left as he turns to look at Felix "Stay here, baby. I'll be quick" the raven head assures Felix before he quickly rushes over to the stall and grabs two passes, the event isn't magnificently large nor is the field so it would be easy to get in. Hyunjin buys the passes and makes his way back to the entrance, giving them to the guard who hands them bracelets and they walk inside the field.
walking through the number of sweaty people Felix feels nauseous and dizzy, the music is loud and so is the crowd. his eyelashes begin to dampen when they finally stop with a close look at the stage and he tilts his head up, gaze falling on the boy performing, and before he can stop it tears are sliding down his face. there stands a boy who looked young and had hair of brown swept back as a guitar hung on his shoulder and he grazed fingers across the strings of it, singing a melody that was both upbeat and sentimental. so many emotions swirl within Felix, familiarity, nostalgia, the ache of yearning and missing this boy who was shining as bright as the stars tonight
even if he had forgotten his voice because of how long it had been since he'd last heard it, he could never forget the melody he used to sing to Felix incessantly. his heart beams with both proudness and sadness because he's so far out of his reach "Sungie" his lips whisper involuntarily and despite the loud music Hyunjin's ears catch on it as he turns to look at Felix and finds him shedding tears with a smile on his face. he's confused but he doesn't say anything, just watching Felix quietly who has now wiped his tears with the back of his hand and is singing along to the song that Hyunjin assumed he was listening to for the first time
even more perplexion rises in him but he pushed it to the side, shifting behind the brunette to protect him from the rocking of people as he wraps both of his arms around his waist and rests his chin on his shoulder. moments pass of Felix trying his best to not cry but he can't succeed and singing along to the song before Hyunjin finally asks him, nearing his lips to his ear "Do you like this guy?" he doesn't know who he is but he presumed Felix must be a fan of him because he's so elated to see him that he's crying
the brunette turns his head toward Hyunjin and contemplates revealing the truth to him for a second, a smile taints his lips before he finally speaks, leaning closer to Hyunjin who has turned his ear toward his mouth so he'll hear him better "Yes, he used to be my friend" Hyunjin is surprised as he looks back at the boy then at Felix "really? then we should go backstage and talk to him" Hyunjin suggests and Felix gulps, his eyes sticking to the singer before he looks at Hyunjin, the raven head isn't really sure why he said that but he wanted Felix to meet the friend he was so emotional for "We can do that? isn't he a big artist?" Hyunjin licked his lips and looked back at the boy
"He's your friend, after all, he'll let you in. If they don't then I'll throw some money at them" A grin finds its way on Felix's lips as his eyes glimmer at the thought and he turns back to pay attention to the friend he's been reunited with after years. everything was cascading into place as if the universe planned it for him and Felix could not have been happier, the boy leans back into Hyunjin's embrace and lets his happiness glow everywhere on his skin.
when the performance ends and everyone is scattering everywhere Hyunjin grabs Felix's hand and drags him toward the supposed backstage "What's his name?" the raven head asks out of curiosity as they push past people "Han Jisung" Felix answers, the name feeling foreign on his tongue but so familiar. as they finally make it through the immense crowd and stand before the guards that are guarding the back doors Felix lets Hyunjin do the talking because they're speaking in French and nothing really makes sense to him
he can see Hyunjin reaching for his pockets but the guard shakes his head and laughs in nervousness under Hyunjin's persistence, Felix takes the gist and grabs Hyunjin's forearm "if he says no then we should just leave, Jinnie, it's fine" the brunette tries to reason, his heart burning because he wanted to speak with his friend, after all these years when he finally has an opportunity it feels like a great loss to not have it work out for him. He feels the anguish right behind the doors of his heart but he doesn't let it inside
and before Hyunjin can argue further the brunette holds his hand and drags him away from the guards, swallowing his agony and leaving behind his friend who's too shiny of a gem to even be spoken to anymore. maybe someday in the future they'll have a chance to meet again, or maybe not, Felix will never know and Jisung will go on with his shows.
