The car ride was silent. I was looking out of the car's window . How the hell did he get to know about that kiss? I was feeling so embarrassed. Wait why am I being embarrassed he is my husband of course I can kiss him can't I? The car stopped in front of a tea stall as I frown Turning towards Ahad.

“ Why are we here? “ I asked as he unplugged his seatbelt.

“ What is this stall for? “ He asked, looking at me as I answered.

“ For tea “ I said as he nodded. “ So we will have some tea here. Come out “

My eyes lit up at the name of tea. I really needed it. I tried to unplug my seatbelt but it was stuck. Before I could do anything, his big hand wrapped around mine taking the seat belt from me. He comes near. So near that his breath was hitting my face. I looked at him with my eyes wide open, wondering why his eyes were sticking to me, his hands were working on the seatbelt.

“ Mi Amor.. You are doing this on purpose right? “ He whispered, nearly sounding breathless. His eyes travelled to my lips just when I thought he was going to push me against the seat and kiss me like crazy he pulled away. And the seatbelt was opened.

Breath entered my lungs again . By the time I looked towards his side, he wasn't there but standing on my side opening the door for me.

I looked up at him as if his face was normal like before. He raised his eyebrow towards me.

“ Do you want me to pick you up and take you there Mrs Malik “ I blink my eyes as I quickly get out of the car. What is his problem?

We walked to the stall as I sat on the nearby seat. Ahad came with a cup of tea in his hand.

“ Where are you? “  I asked as he sat in front of me, handing me my cup of Tea.

“ I don't like tea, '' he said as I nodded. I took a sip and smiled at the taste. I don't know how people can hate a thing like tea . I looked in front of me as heat crawled up to my cheeks when I saw Ahad looking at me. His all focus was on me but when he saw me looking at him he looked away. A small smile appeared on my lips . “ You can look at me if you want. I won't complain, '' I said, focusing on my tea.

He looked up from his phone. He put his phone in his pocket and rested his gaze on me.

“ I think you like getting yourself into danger”

He said as I frowned, not understanding.

“ Sorry what? “ I asked as he shook his head

“ Nothing. Let's go now “ He said standing up.

As we reached home, everyone was sitting in the living room. I greet everyone. Maa kissed my cheeks and Abbu gave me his blessings.

I sat beside Ahad with a smile as Maa spoke up.

“ Ayesha, we were waiting for you. “ Maa said her lit up face a while ago turned into a sad one. I frowned and asked. “ What happened Maa “

She looked at Abbu who nodded his head.

“ Actually my daughter, Your Dad is sick, he is having a fever so your parents wanted you to go to their house and spend some time there. You can leave tomorrow morning if you want “

As soon as Maa told me about Dadu , my heart sank . He is sick but how? Before I hurt my hands with my nails a warm hand holds my hand gently rubbing the thumb over my hand. Ahad calmed me. So I spoke.

“ Tomorrow I will leave then “ I said as everyone nodded. Maa put a hand on my cheek.

“ He will be fine Ayesha. Don't worry “ I nodded after this Ammi told me to get fresh so I walked to my room. Took a deep breath.

Allah please make my Dadu healthy!

The door of the room opened as Ahad entered his soft eyes looking in my eyes as he walked towards me. Putting his hands on my cheeks cupping them.

“ As long as I know your Dadu is strong, all you need to do is be strong. Everything will be fine, hmm. “

I nodded, closing my eyes. “ Tomorrow I will drop you there okay “ I opened my eyes as he was still looking at me.

“ Okay “ I said.

After getting a shower and having my dinner

I walked inside the room in my pink night suit. Ahad was not in the room so I sat on the bed and pulled out my phone . I looked at my inbox and there was a “ Hi “ From Bunny . I text back as “ hi “ As after some seconds his reply came.

Bunny :” Flower how are you? “

Me :” Not so good but I'll be fine “

Bunny :” Why? What's wrong? “

Me :” It's just my Dadu is a little sick so I am going to stay at my parents place for sometime. “

Bunny :” How much Time? “

Why is he asking questions like this?

Me :'' Um for almost a month as I am going to stay with my Dad until he gets well.

The next text took him a while to write.

Bunny :” Won't you miss your husband ?  “

I press my lips together thinking about it. Of course I will miss him. He has become a safe place for me and staying without him makes me sad.

Me :” Yes, I will miss him so much. But I guess he don't care “

Bunny :” Of course he cares. He must be having a hard time getting away from you. Maybe more than you “

Me :” How do you know? “

Bunny :” I just know. “

I rolled my eye

Me :” Fine. Now I gotta sleep. You sleep too “

Bunny :” Goodnight “

I put my phone aside and was about to lay on the couch as Ahad entered the room. His eyes landed on me. He was looking so handsome in that blue shirt.

“ Why are you sleeping here “ He asked

“ Because it's where I sleep, “ I replied normally. He shook his head before picking me up in his arms. I quickly wrapped my arms around his neck.

“ What are you doing Ahad! Put me down! “

He ignored my words and walked towards the bed. Putting me down,

“ Sleep on the bed with me Ayesha. It's your place “ He said in his soft serious voice. I just stare at him like he is a magical prince charming.

“ No, it's not my place Ahad. It's your— “

He put his index finger over my lips stopping me from speaking.

“ It's Our place Mi Amor. There's no yours and mine in us. It's always Our “ He said as goosebumps rose up in my body. He leaned in and kissed my forehead. Before walking, walking towards his side and getting on the bed.

I look at him thinking what type of Aliens hijack him. He is not the Ahad I saw on the first day of our marriage in the Car. I lay beside him. Turning my back to him. He turned off the lights. And after some moment I was pulled towards him by his arms. My back hit his chest and his arms around my waist . His breath hit my neck . My heart starts to beat fast and so does his.

“ Ahad.. “ I whisper as he spoke “ Just stay like this Mi Amor. Just for today “ I gulped and closed my eyes. Melting in his arms.

Why does his arms feel like home?

I woke up, greeted by the gentle touch of the morning sun filtering through the curtains. My eyes naturally found their way to the most beautiful sight in the room—Ayesha, still peacefully asleep beside me. A soft smile graced my face as I admired her, her beauty seemingly untouched by the morning light.  She was leaving for her parents' house, and I couldn't help but feel a pang of longing, knowing I wouldn't see her like this for some time.

My fingers moved delicately, sweeping aside a few stray strands of hair from her face. But just as I was lost in that moment, her eyes fluttered open. Panic surged through me, and I swiftly withdrew my hand, my throat tightening with nervousness. Ayesha slowly sat up, her gaze locking onto mine.

"Why are you standing there, Ahad?" she asked, curiosity twinkling in her eyes. I found myself momentarily frozen in place.

"Nothing, just morning Yoga," I managed to mumble, finally gathering the courage to stand up, as if to justify my presence in the room. Ayesha nodded, seemingly satisfied with my explanation. She announced her intention to get ready and gracefully got out of bed, making her way to the closest to select her outfit for the day.

But just as she was about to enter the bathroom, I reached out and gently captured her hand. My voice trembled with emotion as I spoke, "Can't you stay for today? The weather doesn't look promising." My eyes pleaded with her to reconsider.

Ayesha turned to gaze out of the window on the serene morning. "The weather does look beautiful today, but I need to go, Ahad. Dadu is sick," she replied with a hint of sadness in her voice.

Reluctantly, I released her hand, accepting her decision. As she disappeared into the bathroom, I remained alone in the room, a lingering sense of longing filling the space between us.

I stood outside, ready to take Ayesha to her parents' house . She came out of the dressing room wearing a beautiful yellow dress with silver earrings and her hair flowing freely. She looked amazing, and my heart skipped a beat as she smiled at me. I couldn't help but admire her.

"Let's go, Ahad," she said, her voice pulling me back to reality. I realised she had been calling my name, and I nodded, trying my best to resist the urge to pull her close and never let her go. After meeting my family, we got into the car, but I couldn't help but ask the question burning in my heart.

"So... when will you come back?" I already knew the answer, but I needed to hear it from her.

She replied, "One month, until Daddy gets better," and I understood. We arrived at her parents' house, where we were warmly greeted. Ayesha seemed a bit uneasy with her parents, and it hurt to see her like this. I wished I could stay with her, but I knew I had to leave.

After meeting Dadu, Ayesha and I stepped outside, and I couldn't help but study her, trying to capture every detail of her beautiful face.

"Ahad, you can come here to visit me, okay?" she said, her voice tinged with hope.

"Sure, I'll see if I can make some time," I replied, though in truth, I was ready to stay with her indefinitely.

She smiled, her warmth washing over me. "Take care, Ahad. Don't get sick."

"You too, take care, Mi Amor," I said, my heart aching as I kissed her forehead briefly. Reluctantly, I walked away towards my car, driving back to my empty room, missing her already.

I think I am getting out of my mind.

I stepped into the room, and the scent of Ayesha still lingered in the air. It was an aroma that comforted and haunted me at the same time. I couldn't understand what was happening to me, but there was this tight feeling in my chest, a sensation I had only felt twice before in my life—once when I had to leave behind my flower, and now, leaving Ayesha.

The room felt colder than usual, her absence making it seem emptier. I noticed her bangles lying on the dressing table, a stark reminder of how much she had changed my room since she came into my life.

"Ahad, if you keep on behaving like this, how will you survive a month without her?" I scolded myself, trying to shake off the melancholy that had settled in my heart.

I decided to take a long shower, hoping it would clear my mind. However, as I lay on the bed with my laptop, attempting to distract myself from thoughts of Ayesha, her sweet smile and enchanting eyes continued to dominate my mind.

Great now I am addicted to my wife
