"Think there'll be a letter today?" Linh questioned, looking at Tam as they appraoched their lockers.
"I'm pretty sure they've forgotten about me." Tam stated as he and Linh made it to their lockers.
"Oh don't say that." Linh said.
Linh leaned in and licked her DNA strip of her locker.
Tam didn't really pay attention to Linh to see if the strip was tasty or not. He looked at his locker.
"... Does my locker look a little... off to you?" Tam questioned.
Linh gagged as she opened her locker and glanced at Tam's.
"No?" Linh said, confused.
Tam stared at his locker.
"Someone messed with it." Tam stated.
"Maybe it was your secret admirer?" Linh suggested as she got her books.
"Eugh, that taste better leave my mouth soon..."
"Yeah, but the only way to get in is with my DNA." Tam said, looking at Linh.
"Maybe a technopath did it?" Linh shrugged.
"The only technopath we know is Dex." Tam stated.
"And Dex for sure does not like me."
"Maybe Biana got Dex to help?" Linh suggested.
"The two of them are close."
Tam felt unsure. He looked at his locker and sighed as he leaned in and licked the DNA strip. Tam gagged out and he opened his locker.
"Bleh, did Elwin make it vomit flavoured or something?" Tam gagged again.
"Eugh, just... think about something else." Linh stated.
Tam looked into his locker and seen how neatly a box with a letter wrapped on it, as well as another small piece of paper, was sat in his locker.
Tam raised his eyebrows as he took the box. He took the letter and folded piece of paper and handed Linh the box.
Linh stared at the nicely decorated box and held it as Tam read through the letter quietly first.
'Dear Tam,
Bet you've lost hope that I'd write to you again, huh? Well, I've been busy deciding what to make you and made you some cupcakes. (I used dark chocolate for the frosting so it wasn't sweet) I noticed you don't seem to like sweet things.
I placed four cupcakes in the box. You can share it with Linh if you'd like. I hope that it tastes good, I haven't had one yet. I would say let me know but... well you don't know who I am. Maybe I'll see you eating it and know if you'll like it.
Seriously though, I hope you like it. I spent practically my whole evening baking this.
I'll maybe make you something else, I don't know. I'll write to you again soon.
~Your Secret
Admirer '
Tam raised his eyebrows.
"There's cupcakes in the box, you can get that horrid taste out of your mouth if you want one the now." Tam said, looking at Linh as Tam shoved the letter into the envelope and unfolded the other piece of paper.
"Cupcakes?! Oh hell yeah! How many?" Linh asked as she began to open the box.
"Four, so you get two, I'll get the other two." Tam responded.
"Mmh! Ooh it smells good!"Linh exclaimed, grabbing a cupcake for herself once she opened the box.
Linh shut the box and she began to munch on the cupcake while Tam read the small note.
'P.S it was a bit difficult to open up your locker to get this in, hope you don't mind I broke in.
Cute photos hanging on your locker door, did Linh force you to put them up?
Just wondering why you'd scratch out Keefe in the photo. Do you really hate him that much??
Anyways enjoy the cupcakes, I already licked my DNA strip since I got here early and ew, Elwin did not show us mercy. '
Tam couldn't help but smile a little at the last sentence.
Tam stared at the bit that mentioned Keefe though and he glanced at his locker door.
Yes, he hung up some pictures there and yes, Linh forced him to have some pictures there.
Linh, Tam, and their friends. Or well, their friends and Keefe, took a photo together and everyone got a copy.
Linh also forced Tam to put up a photo of him and her.
Tam looked at the group photo. He didn't scratch out Keefe's face, he just... covered it. He was able to uncover it if he really wanted to. But he didn't want to see the smug look on Keefe's face from that day.
Tam grabbed his books and shoved them in his bag, along with the letter and note.
"Uh, give the cupcakes here."
Linh handed Tam the box and he looked at her. A smile grew on Tam's face as he seen Linh's face was covered in frosting.
"You should clean up, you look like a pig." Tam grinned.
"Fuck you." Linh snickered, grabbing a tissue from her bag and wiping her mouth.
Tam let out a laugh as he placed the box of cupcakes in his bag and shut his locker. Linh shut her locker once she got her books into her bag.
"Any reason to believe it could be Biana?" Linh questioned.
Tam shrugged.
"Eh, I dunno." Tam said.
"Mmh, maybe we can have lunch with Biana again, you could eat a cupcake in front of her and see if she'll like stare at you to see if you like it!" Linh suggested.
Tam shrugged, scrunching up his nose. "Ehh..."
"Hey, you wanna know who likes you and it's most likely Biana. From the evidence we have so far." Linh said.
"What evidence do we have it's Biana?" Tam questioned.
"Well, first of all she acted suspicious when I asked about the letters!" Linh stated.
"The glitter is hers-"
"other people can have the same kind of glitter."
"The flowers! The ones I've seen in her bedroom!"
"Uh, many of the same flower?"
Linh looked at Tam, scoffing.
"Tam..."
"I'm not getting my hopes up." Tam rolled his eyes.
"When we have more evidence, we'll go with it."
Linh grumbled.
"God, you're difficult to convince..." Linh mumbled.
Tam rolled his eyes.
"C'mon let's head to class." Tam said, walking off.
Linh followed Tam, walking alongside him.
*****
"Oh, Tam and Linh are at a table." Biana said.
"Ugh, Biana please no-" Keefe began.
"Tam has the box of cupcakes out." Fitz said, glancing at how Linh was already snacking on a cupcake.
"Oh, you should've said so! Let's go check on them!" Keefe exclaimed.
"Gosh, you change your mind quickly." Biana mumbled.
The three of them appraoched the table.
"What up Song twins?!" Keefe exclaimed, sliding down next to Tam.
Tam grumbled as he shuffled over.
"Who gave you permission to sit next to me?" Tam questioned, looking at the blonde.
"I did, of course." Keefe smiled.
Tam rolled his eyes while Biana and Fitz sat across Tam and Linh.
"Hey, hope you don't mind." Biana smiled.
"Oh of course not." Linh smiled.
"Uh, Tam's secret admirer made cupcakes! I already had my two. Tam's been saving his two."
"Oh? Are they good?" Biana asked.
Linh glanced at Tam.
"Eh, not sweet enough. But probably perfect for Tam." Linh said.
Tam grabbed a cupcake.
"The cases are... interesting." Tam stated.
"Awh, it's cute." Linh said, nudging Tam.
Keefe looked at the cases.
"Yeah Tammy, it's cutee~!" Keefe teased, leaning in closer to Tam.
"I can smell your stinky breath, get the hell away from me Sencen." Tam scowled, elbowing Keefe.
Keefe snickered as Tam uncovered the cake from the case.
Keefe kinda stared at Tam as he hesitantly took a bite from the cupcake.
As Tam chewed, he licked his lips, getting any bit of frosting off his face.
Tam swallowed it and he seemed to smile a little.
Keefe bit his lower lip as he stared at Tam.
Keefe then yelped as he felt someone kick his ankle.
Keefe glared at Fitz and Fitz raised his eyebrows at Keefe.
Suddenly, Keefe heard Fitz's voice in his head.
"Stare at Tam like that any longer and I'll be convinced you're falling in love with him." Fitz had transmitted to Keefe.
Keefe glared at Fitz and glanced back at Tam who ate the cupcake, munching on it.
Keefe felt some strange emotion coming from Tam. Keefe glanced at their shoulders and noticed the were touching.
Keefe smiled to himself, looking at the table as he felt a wave of positive emotions overcome Tam.
"You like it?" Linh questioned Tam.
Tam nodded.
"It's... perfect, yeah." Tam said.
"It's not super sweet."
Biana glanced at Keefe and noticed such a goofy grin on his face. She raised her eyebrows and she looked at Fitz.
Fitz looked at Biana and made a very annoyed face.
"He's definitely falling for Tam." Fitz had transmitted into Biana's mind.
Biana snickered quietly and looked away.
Keefe looked at the two Vacker siblings and he raised his eyebrows.
"What's so funny?" Keefe questioned.
"Mmh? Nothing, Fitz just... transmitted me a joke." Biana smiled.
"You wouldn't understand it, it's an inside joke."
Keefe looked at the two siblings suspiciously.
"If you think you know what's happening, then you don't." Keefe scowled at the two.
"I do not feel that way, I know myself better than anyone else and I am an empath for fuck's sake. I know my emotions!"
Keefe slammed his hands against the table, startling Linh and also Tam.
Biana frowned at Keefe.
"Keefe, oh come on-" Biana began as Keefe got up and stormed off.
Biana groaned and she looked at Fitz.
"Leave him." Fitz said.
"He'll cool down."
Tam and Linh glanced at each other.
"Uh, what's happening with Keefe?" Linh asked, looking at Biana and Fitz.
Fitz cleared his throat.
"Let's say, he says he doesn't feel this way towards a person even though it's sort of clear that he's... well falling for them." Fitz stated.
Tam raised his eyebrows.
"Someone who isn't Sophie?" Tam questioned.
"Someone who isn't Sophie." Biana nodded.
"Shocker. He pined for her for years." Tam said, finishing his cupcake.
Biana stared at how Tam finished his cupcake happily.
"You actually like the cupcakes?" Biana asked.
Tam nodded.
"Yeah, really good." Tam said.
"Better be good, I got egged for just trying to help..." Fitz mumbled under his breath.
Biana elbowed Fitz and Fitz scowled.
Linh raised an eyebrow.
"... Uh, okay."
Linh glanced at Tam and Tam made a face at Linh.
"No." Tam said.
"I'm telling you-" Linh began.
"Nuh-uh." Tam shook his head.
Tam shut the box of cupcakes and shoved them into his bag again.
He tugged his bangs and he bit his inner cheek.
Keefe likes someone and was in denial about it? That didn't seem like the empath. Usually he'd try and flirt with the person right away.
It wasn't like Tam cared, he was just... a bit suspicious.
