This was in second year and he just turned 12
Moon PoV
I woke up to the solemn silence of the morning in Rockhampton, I got up and did my morning regiment, I look at the calendar on the wall on my way out to see the date September 7th. Is it really that day of the year again. I look on the bed and see that Merula's not there, I then hear a Party horn go off behind me. I jumped up into the air out of shock.
Merula: "Happy Birthda- Moon...Moon..Moon, where are you?"
"Up here"
She looks up to me up there on the ceiling eyes dilated and shaking with fear, she gets the message and helps me down, before she gets a death stare. She looks at me with excitement in her eyes as she drags me down the stares. She hands me a plate of Pancakes and a bowl of seeds. Before she gives me a kiss on the cheek and sitting down next to me. I give her a kiss back before mom and dad come and sit at the table.
Mom: "Hey, son, I know it's you birthday, but could you run to the store, we're out of Vegemite."
"How, I bought 15 cans of that stuff?"
Dad: "That was me...I'm sorry."
Merula: "I'm sorry, but what is this 'Vegemite' your talking about?"
We all heard that and all 5 of us(Mom, Dad, Dinawan, angie, and I) turned our heads and gave her the 'ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME MATE' look. We saw her eat Marmite on a piece of toast, and here she is asking about Vegemite.
"That's it...we're done."
Merula: "Are you breaking up with me?!"
"No, we're going to the store."
So I finished my breakfast and went to the store, found the Vegemite, bought about 30 jars bought them and walked home. I open the door to find the room completely dark, so I turned and That's when
Mom, Dad, Dinawan, and Merula: "Surprise!!"
I got so scared I jumped up and hit the roof. They looked up and helped me down and we celebrated the rest of the day. That's when I saw a Fox run up to me with a box in it's mouth.
And It dropped it, they urged me to open it, so I did and found three things
This was a pleasant surprise. But then I see a hawk fly through the window
Merula somehow managed to convince me to take off my glasses. So I couldn't see for a straight 15 minutes. But then I could see. She held a mirror up and I saw the gift
I hugged her, but that's when my family joined in. But it was pleasant.
