I turned around, Who could that be? The first thought that I had was that it was probably the minister spying on me and trying to figure out my intentions, If he was the one knocking and spying then I swear I would kill him with no hesitation.
Before further knocking, That door opened and there was no one. It shut itself.
"Who is it? Is that a ghost or something?" Alaric said confusingly.
I sighed, "Seriously Deave! Can't you just keep your humor aside for a while, You scared the hell out of me." I grinned.
He turned visible and said, "Yeah sure! My queen, This is my castle I would roam in here without any hesitation, and then Sombra would see me and serve me death!"
I chuckled and nodded my head.
"De-Deave!" Ric's voice grew pale; "You are alive!"
Deave looked at himself and said, "I think so!"
"But the other day those guards--"
"Forget them! I am fine and you should thank your sister for that! If she wasn't there I would've probably died by now. She acted to kill me, But trust me if magic's around it's hard to believe something. Though for Sombra Mr. Deave Barka's dead but whose gonna tell him that he's gonna get that title soon!"Deave gazed at me and smiled as I looked down at the floor.
"No! You will be the one to get that first!" I said.
"Excuse Me?" While Deave said this Ric continuously looked at our faces during this conversation.
"Yeah! I mean why not? Like Deave seriously! First, you knew Emily and now you claim to know my brother too! How come I not know about that?" I asked.
Both of them looked at each other and laughed.
"Well! Faye, Deave's the one who kept Sombra from making a corpse out of me after he attained the power of the tenth star. He kept him so busy and Made a plan for us to escape but when he was caught, I heard the guards saying that he was dead. So, Raged up I just escaped myself that day!" He smiled.
"Aw!! Crime partners were separated!" I grinned.
"Well, But now two new Crime partners are gonna form!" Deave looked at me.
I raised my eyebrows.
"My Queen, The minister is onto you. He is suspected to be the Princess. He is keeping a record of everything you are doing. I'm afraid that he might ruin everything we've planned. His presence is a hindrance to our work. In simple words, we need to kill him."
"You both really don't mean it right, Maybe he's just scared of Sombra." Ric interrupted him.
"No, He isn't! He is actually trying to get Sombra's position. He wants to become a king." Deave said.
"What? Who told you this?"I asked.
"Why do you think I got late in the first place? I was spying on him. I heard him saying all this. He wants to collect proof against you because then Sombra would give him a higher position. He is trying to get almost all the guards on his side, The main reason why Sombra needed a commander knight." Deave explained.
"Ew! What a low person that minister is! " Ric frowned.
"Let's do this!" I announced; "Because he is no help, rather trouble."
Deave smiled.
"And till then Our prince will be staying in this room only," I said.
"And no funny business Alaric." Deave grinned.
"Hey! You both I am not a baby! I am gonna turn fifteen after a few days."
"You both will turn Fifteen, while I turned sixteen this July." Ric rolled his eyes.
I smiled.
We closed the door and went out in the corridor.
"I am gonna go and free my parents first and you will--"
"Oh! Don't worry, I will take care of that minister." Deave answered coolly.
I chuckled.
We then parted ways.
-Deave P.O.V.-
"Finally! I have waited for this for a super long time, To kill that irritating Minister."
As I reached in front of the room of his door I took off my invisibility spell and went in. He was sitting there counting his penny.
I made a sound protection in the room, locked it, and slowly and slowly went towards him.
"Yes! I will become even more rich now!" The minister smiled.
I rolled up my sleeves and said," Boo!!"
"Aaa!!" He screamed as he got up from his chair.
"You--You were dead!" He was confused.
"Aw! But see I came back for you!" I frowned.
"Ah ha! Felicia never killed you! I now have the evidence to make Felicia pay!"; "Or should I say Faye Algate? I know her true identity kid. Now I shall become the king!"
"Yeah! whatever? She spared me, but who is gonna save you!" I grinned.
"Guards!" He screamed.
"Yeah, whatever, No one's gonna hear you! You have already interfered enough in My Queen's plans. I know that people like you are greedy for power and money and they never change. So killing you is the best option."
With a swirl of my hand, a dagger appeared.
"Huh! That will be enough for you."
"No! I am as fierce as a lion! I will fight you and then Faye will die."
I held his neck in one hand and said," What did you say? Say that again! Faye will die? Oh, you cowards! She is here to make people like you die! If only you all could just care for humanity...."
Dagger in my hand, I stabbed him with it.
He shut his eyes at once and fell to the ground.
"Easy peasy!" I dusted off my hands.
I took a look around his room. He had stolen so much money from the people here by collecting infinite taxes. There was nothing useful in there to take so I swirled all that money and sent it to Faye's room where Alaric was resting, to be distributed later to the citizens.
With my arms behind my neck, I became invisible and whistled down the corridor.
-Meanwhile with Alaric-
"Ouch! From where are all these coins coming from and why are they hitting me!"
Coins were hitting him from everywhere as if it were a rain of coins.
Then Deave's voice came and he said," Enjoyy!!"
"Deave!!!" Alaric screamed.
-Faye P.O.V.-
I walked into the Dungeons but this time it was loaded with guards.
"Hey! What's wrong?" Someone Whispered.
That was Deave.
"Deave! You are already--"
"Yeah, I am done with him."
"That sure was speedy," I said.
He grinned.[ Again Deave cast a spell that only Faye could see him.]
"And As for the corpse, where are you planning to bury it?" I asked but I already knew what he was going to say.
"Uh-- Right! His special guard will take care of him. My job was to kill him, rest I don't know."
"As expected!" I smiled.
"So what's the problem here?" He asked.
"This hallway is full of guards today!"
"Leave it to me!" He winked.
He snapped his fingers and changed his look. He became the minister.
I chuckled and said," What is your cunning mind thinking?"
"Just watch, I have always been an excellent actor."
He went forward and said," Guards!!! All of you at the ground at once." He spoke with that same old rusty voice that the minister had.
With astonishment, I laughed.
All the guards ran to the ground and Deave shapeshifted back into his original form.
We both walked ahead to the dungeons where the king and queen were kept.
"Here it is!" I pointed at the prison.
I opened the door and Mother's first question was," Faye! Darling! Is Ric okay?"
I nodded and smiled.
"Now it is time for you to escape from here!" I announced.
"Deave! Child! You are alive?" My Dad asked.
"Yes, Your Highness! All credit goes to your daughter, Faye!"
I smiled.
"Deave take them to my room!"I said.
"With pleasure! But My Queen! Your room is becoming a public resthouse."
I grinned, "It is just a guestroom. But if it was for my personal room I swear I would have thrown you out first!"
"Ouch!" He laughed.
He snapped his fingers and they went to my room. Meanwhile, I made an Illusion appear of the king and queen in the dungeons so as to avoid the sudden disappearance of the royals.
All of a sudden I heard footsteps from the back. The guards were all coming back and saying, "Why did the minister call us there?"
In order to escape I moved further and as I was about to use the invisibility spell, I slipped on the leaking water and fell onto the ground.
"Ouch! Ah!" I cried in pain. I felt as if I had a sprain in my foot. The guards were coming closer but I was not able to stand. Suddenly, Someone grabbed my hand and pulled me back to the little dark corner. The guards moved forward at their assigned places.
I looked back and it was again Deave holding me from my waist to the corner and looking for any more guards there... But they all went away.
"Are you Okay?" he asked tensed.
"You always have the correct timing!" I smiled; "Thanks!"
"No worries, It is my pleasure to help you!"
My foot was still hurting.
"Let's go back and fix this!" He picked me up in his arms and snapped his fingers back to reach my room.
There is something that I always feel... I am never comfortable if someone comes closer to me but it was the first time I didn't feel so. My heart felt safe with him, And I think I can forever count on him if I ever needed help. It is not like I feel any feelings of love for him, But I see the light of a long-lasting friendship with him. I just helped him once, But he has supported me infinite times. I am so glad that I met Deave Baraka...
We reached back into my room and Ric asked, "What the--"
"Ric! She just has a little sprain in her foot."
Then, he sat me on the bed and removed my shoe, checking, "Does it hurt here?"
"Yes! Here."
"Well not a problem, It is just a little sprain, We can cure it with magic!"
He swirled his hands chanting a healing spell on my foot.
I smiled and said, "Deave! If Emi saw you here like this--"
"Shut up!"
"Why?" I grinned.
"Ric doesn't know, and he is a mouthful." He muttered; "And besides it doesn't matter I am just helping you!"
I laughed.
In a matter of minutes, it had turned night and we all went to bed early as tomorrow might just be Sombra's last day......
