My alarm woke me up. Got out of bed, got dressed and putted the necklace on. Walked downstairs to the kitchen. My uncle and aunt noticed me and looked at me with smiles decorating their faces, either because they wanted me to be happy or because they saw that I was wearing the necklace. I sat down and had m breakfast, which consisted of fried eggs, bread and tea. It was good. Then I was driven by my uncle to school.
Once there I met my friends near the lockers.
"Hey."
"Hi."
"How was your weekend?"
"Interesting. How has both of yours been?"
"Nothing special." Leonor answered.
"Same. Maybe interesting because my cousin got a puppy but nothing else."
We went to our classes. I sat down in the middle of the class. I was ready to be productive in a way. The time came and the bell rang, the teacher began the lesson. It was an ok lesson. I am not a fan of the teacher but the subject itself isn't that hard. I managed to get through it. The next class was shared with the girls. We sat down close to each other. Talked until the bell rang and the teacher walked into the classroom. It was a good lesson since we had to do the tasks in a group, I had my two friends together to do the work together. It was fun and we did the tasks really well and I think we deserve a good grade out of that. The third lesson I am sharing with Samuel and Luciana.
That lesson passed by very quickly and the lunch break began. I rushed to the cafeteria were I found our table and sat down. I had my lunch packed and made by my aunt. A chicken sandwich, sink but good. The other slowly came in and sat down. All of our group was here today. While eating I got this idea but I of course had to ask the others what they thought.
"I just got this idea. What if we all hang out after school. I do know a good spot."
"Is it that spot near your house?" Samuel asked and I nodded.
"I would like that."
"I am in."
"I believe I am free, so I am also in."
A few more said they wanted to go and I was happy that we all will hang out for the first time. My circle of friends grew fairly big, I mean be a girlfriend of a popular guy and that is it. I finished up my food and then listened to the conversation of the table and tried to talk myself whenever I felt like I needed to or wanted to. This lunch break has been one of the greatest ones I've had in a long time. I like socializing, weird to say that. Never thought I would truly say that but here I am saying it.
Sadly the break was over and I had to walk to my next class. I had like four more lessons and I will be free to hang out with my friends. This class was history and boring but I managed to do note taking and just somehow listen to the teacher. After that one I had to rush to the dressing room to be ready for PE class. The teacher was evil again. Made us run like eight laps in the school's inside small stadium. I was out of breath and was very tired, it was just a warm up. Then we stretched and had to do specific exercises. I really should use our home gym. After the exercises we had to do some jumping with a rope for a grade, stupid I know. I was able to do the best grade which I was very happy for that. For the remaining of the class time I did some exercises with the gym equipment they had.
Next class was math and we had a test. I think I did good, I shouldn't fail this one. Then I had my last class which was Spanish. We had to write an essay, well prepare to write an essay. Thankfully I already had ideas on what to write so making the plan wasn't so hard. The structure thing I hate. It is then hard to write since you are supposed to write in a specific structure or way. This teacher is pretty good, I like her. We had an entire week to write the essay which I was grateful for that.
The bell rang and I was off to my locker and then the stadium as Samuel and some of his friends had practice and we would hang out after. So the rest of us either looked how they trained, played or talked with each other. I and Luciana were in a deep conversation about food, I don't remember how we got there about this but I really enjoyed talking about food. I learned that she likes to cook and bake. She would like to have her own place where she could do that. Soon enough the practice was over and the guys headed to the locker rooms to shower and be ready to meet us in the front of the school outside.
Once they came we all used a bus. Yes. But no one really minded that and we drove to the closest stop and got off. Then walked to the spot. The walk was fun since we all talked and liked each others company. We all really got along well. The time did fly fast and we got to the spot in what felt like in no time. We all sat down on the benches and looked over the city.
"This place has a spectacular view of the city." Luciana commented.
"It does."
"I live in the neighborhood. How come I never knew of this place?" One of Samuel's friends asked.
"I didn't know of this place if Camila didn't show it to me." Samuel said.
Some talked with others, some looked over the city, maybe thinking, its a good place for thinking. I felt happy, relaxed. I liked how my idea was liked by others and now they like it even more. This spot I remember going the same day I arrived here. I cried here, was hanging out with Samuel and now a big friend group. A special place of mine and I am sharing it with others, I don't mind. I didn't have such similar spot I liked back at my town. I didn't want to leave my town but once I started to live here, it grew on me. I still miss home but I am not hating this big city.
I was resting my back on Samuel's front and he had his arms wrapped around my waist, I was circling my finger around his forearm. I liked how he was warm, even if it was cold outside, the snow from yesterday had already melted. Bernadette and her crush were looking all lovely at each other, I might have eavesdropped and heard that there might be a date soon. Leonor was happy talking to a guy, I know not romantically. My friends were happy, I was happy. It was nice to see both Leonor and Luciana talking from time to time. I am sure Leonor will find her girl one day.
This friend group consists of people who are couple, me and Samuel, you can say Bernadette and her guy, another couple and then the single ones likes Luciana and Leonor with a few others. A great group of friends. At first I remember thinking that Samuel friends will be like the popular ones in the movies and tv shows but it isn't true, well his teammate was mean to me but as far as I knew he was dealt with and he apologized a week later after when that happened. Many others don't look at me with envy or anything bad, at least I haven't noticed or my friends as well. I knew Samuel was very wanted but after I started to date him, no one seemed to be interested in him or they just value his choice and my own and just leaves us alone. Which I like that.
Someone started to play music and we all actually got up and started to dance. This reminded me of me and Samuel. I didn't even know some of us were that good at dancing. It was super fun. Me and Samuel from time to time danced like a couple which some made fun of us, but we didn't care. The music was mostly popular songs. We all dance to at least four songs until we all decided it was time to relax since we all were tired. Sat down on the benches again.
"We should do a group selfie. What do you guys say about this?" Luciana suggested. We all agreed and she took out her phone, she was in the middle and we all managed to somehow fit in the frame and take a few photos, she then made a group chat and send the photos to there. I liked how the photos turned out. We then all talked about school, mostly just saying bad things about teachers. The guys did also talk about football and the upcoming games. Luciana finally told us there is going to be a party this Friday, a Christmas related one. I don't know if I will go there but likely I will if my friends will go too.
The party things weren't discussed yet but I think through the week it might be. Either way we spend more time in the spot. Its like no one even thinks of going home. Which is nice. I know tomorrow we all have school but like it doesn't matter. I got the idea out of nowhere and we all don't have to be here for eternity. The weekend was boring and then emotional and now Monday is all nice. I have had bad weeks, days and had good weeks and days. It always goes by bad days and followed by good ones, it goes in a circle. Life I guess. But slowly the others started to head home, me and Samuel stayed as we lived the closest, well I did, he just wanted to stay with me.
"I love you." He blured it out of nowhere.
"I love you too." He placed his palm on my cheeks and pulled me into a kiss. After pulling away we placed our foreheads against each others. I really do love him. Is that too soon? Maybe. He then had to walk home himself. I still stayed for a bit longer. The wind blew on my face but it wasn't a harsh cold one. The city started to be light up and the sun going down making the surroundings darker. There is so many people in this city and here I am one person who got unlucky and lucky with life. I mean I am absolutely not the only one but it feels like it. I don't even know how to describe it properly what I am feeling right now. All I know is that I am happy. Veyr happy. I am confident that I can go through other hardships of life. I know I can. They might be different but I am not fragile anymore. That girl was left in the town and a new girl had moved into the big city and now is a slightly different than before. My birthday wish was to feel totally happy here and made good new friends.
This is my home. It is truly my home now. I have a big group of friends, a boyfriend and guardians who love me. I can truly call this place home and I might not even move to a different one since I have everything I need here. Life is unpredictable but if I can go through the hard and then the good comes along the way.
