TANJIRO POV
As rimuru and I try to behead the demon, it struck its struck the tsuzumi on its shoulder.
As the sound of his drum echoed, the room flipped.
Teruko grabbed the handle of a drawer, but she ended up pulling the drawer with her as she fell scattering paper over the room.
I quickly caught her.
Rimuru: TERUKO, ARE YOU OK! GAH!
A bunch of papers hit rimuru on her mask, startling her a little.
Tanjiro: RIMURU, ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!
Rimuru removed the papers that landed on her mask.
Rimuru: I'm fine, it's just paper. Hm?
Rimuru stared at one of the papers she's holding before checking the others.
Tanjiro: rimuru, what are you doing?
Rimuru: checking these papers, the story in a few of these looked interesting. This page says it's written by someone named kyogai
The demon flinched for some reason.
Demon: Hey human, what did you just say?
Rimuru: I said "this page says it's written by someone named kyogai" but if you ment what I said earlier, then can I assume your name is kyogai and wrote this before you became a demon
As the demon was about to say something, the weird scent from earlier is coming this way.
???: BETTER WATCH OUT, CAUSE, READY OR NOT, HERE I COME!
Suddenly, a person wearing the hide of a board came crashing through a door, interrupting what the demon was about to say.
Tanjiro & Rimuru: (Who is this guy?)
The stranger readied his two nichirin swords and made a strange fighting stance.
???: All right, you monster, die on the battlefield and serve as my catalyst so I can be even more powerful, AND SOAR TO NEW HEIGHTS!
The demon has gone to shock to angry.
???: HOPE YOU'RE READY FOR ME, CAUSE I'M COMIN' THROUGH!
The boar headed swordsman leaped torwards the demon.
The demon struck one of its tsuzumi, rotating the room.
Rimuru and I landed on our feet.
Rimuru: tanjiro is teruko... HEY!
The swordsman used rimuru as a platform to leap towards the demon again while laughing like some kind of maniac.
Kyogai: so infuriating, all these pests running amuck in my house
He struck his drums, making the room spin back to its original position, making us fall to the floor.
As the room suddenly spins, i accidentally dropped teruko.
The swordsman landed directly on her, not caring if he hurt anyone.
???: HAHAHAHA, I CAN'T BELIEVE THE ROOM SPUN AROUND! NOW THIS IS WHAT I CALL A FUN TIME!
Rimuru and I got furious.
Rimuru grabbed the guy's arm and threw him into the hallway while I checked up on teruko.
???: Who the hell are you two?
Rimuru: WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?!
Tanjiro: STEPPING ON A LITTLE KID LIKE THAT! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!
The slayer snorted.
???: HAHAHAHA! HAVING A HUMAN YOU'VE GOT SPUNK! I LIKE THAT! HAVING A HUMAN SEND ME FLYING! THAT'S A FIRST FOR ME!
He charged at rimuru, but she blocked it and countered.
Tanjiro: (Why is he going after rimuru? Isn't he a demon slayer?)
Rimuru: HEY! STOP THAT!
Their swords clashed, and then locked weapons.
Rimuru: What the heck is wrong with your swords?
They both backed off, readying another stance.
???: these swords do a lot more damage. They're not the kind you delicate flowers would use. The way they shred through flesh is what I pride the most
Tanjiro: THIS IS FOOLISH! THERES A DEMON RIGHT THERE!
Rimuru: tanjiro, this guy seems like the type who doesn't care
???: YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!
Kyogai: How infuriating
As rimuru and the other guy charged at each other, the demon struck his drum.
They backed off as invisible slashes in the shape of claws went between them.
The demon struck his drums several times, rotating the room, while sending more slashes.
Some of the slashes broke a wall, sending rimuru falling through it.
Another drum echoed.
Suddenly the room changed and I found myself in a different room, now separated from rimuru too.
Tanjiro: (What happened?! That demon didn't strike a drum?)
RIMURU POV
After getting separated from tanjiro and teruko, I found myself in another room.
Rimuru: ok, now where am i?
Rimuru: (How did I change rooms? I could've sworn the demon hadn't strike any drums? Is he like that swamp demon and that there's more of him?)
Rimuru: That could explain why I sensed multiple demons just now
I started running, looking for either tanjiro, zenitsu, or any demon.
Rimuru: (MAN THIS PLACE IS LIKE A LABYRINTH, AND ITS ALSO SOMEHOW BIGGER IN THE INSIDE!)
As I kept running, I saw a bunch of half-eaten corpses.
Rimuru: (it's bad enough that this demon has eaten people, this demon is wasteful, he didn't finish eating any of them.) *sigh* (I guess this is a good thing, since we can bury them later)
After a while of running, I heard a faint yet high-pitched scream.
Zenitsu: AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! STAY AWAY FROM US!
Rimuru: (that was easy)
I quickly ran to the direction of the constant screaming.
as the sound got louder and louder, i came across an intersection ahead of me where i saw a yellow blur and a small blur of blue and green being chased by something Grey crawled on the floor.
Zenitsu: W-WE DON'T TASTE GOOD! IM SURE I TASTE AWFUL! IM SERIOUS! AND THIS KID'S ALL SKIN AND BONES, SO HED BE DRY AND TASE TERRIBLE!
I quickly went after them, following the sound of Zenitsu's screams.
I reached a room with an open door and saw a demon cornering shoichi at the very back with zenitsu who's asleep.
Rimuru: IS THAT IDIOT ALEEP?!
My sudden outburst got the attention of both shoichi and the demon.
Shoichi: MISS RIMURU!
Tongue demon: ah, another human
The demon turned around, revealing it gross tongue.
I point my sword at the demon.
The demon launched its tongue at me.
Rimuru: (wind breathing ninth form: idaten typhoon)
I backfliped into the air and then attempted to slash the tongue
But the demon quickly retracted its tongue.
Tongue demon: (this girl is more competent than the other guy)
The demon extended its tongue and then lashed at me while I was in the air.
Rimuru: (water breathing second form: water wheel)
I quickly did a front flip mid-air and slashed the demon's tongue.
As I cut the demon's tongue, the tongue suddenly extended further.
The tongue quickly wrapped around me, making me unable to move my arms.
Rimuru: (CRAP!)
It slammed me to the floor, now im tied up unable to do anything.
Shoichi: MISS RIMURU!
Tongue demon: hehehehe, taking a good look at you, you look quite tasty. Nothing compared to a marechi but still looking delicious
Shoichi: ZENITSU! PLEASE WAKE UP! MISS RIMURU IS IN TROUBLE!
The demon crawled towards me when suddenly a flash of yellow blitz passed between me and the demon as a loud boom echoed throughout the room.
Rimuru: EH!?
The demon groaned in pain as it's tongue hashira been sliced.
Tongue demon: What just happened?!
Now freed from the tongue, I quickly glanced at shoichi and zenitsu, but zenitsu wasn't there.
I scanned the room and saw zenitsu with his eyes closed and in a battle stance at the entrance of the room now facing the demon.
Rimuru: (wait, zenitsu?!)
Zenitsu took a deep breath, which made a strange crackling sound.
Tongue demon: (What is this sound? This boy, he's not the same as before)
Zenitsu: thunder breathing first form: thunderclap and flash
Suddenly, zenitsu became a blur, now standing directly in front of shoichi, stomping on the floor, creating another loud boom.
The demon's head fell to the ground as he sheathed his sword.
Rimuru: (So fast!)
And on that moment, my opinion of zenitsu grew considerably.
The demon's head rolled towards zenitsu, nudging him a little, which caused him to snort with his eyes open as if he woke up.
Zenitsu looked at the demon's head, then made another high-pitched shriek and clung to shoichi.
Zenitsu: AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! IT'S DEAD?!
Rimuru: (wait. DID HE SERIOUSLY JUST WOKE UP?! THEN DOES THAT MEAN HE DOSENT EVEN KNOW HE'S THAT STRONG?!)
And at that moment, my opinion of zenitsu dropped considerably.
Zenitsu: WHAT THE HELL?! THIS IS WIERD!
zenitsu scanned the room looking for the cause of the demon's death and saw me.
Zenitsu: RIMURU, Y-YOU SAVE US!
Rimuru: (I guess he's a sleepwalker or a sleepfighter? In any case, it's probably a good idea to knock him out before he fights)
As i took a mental note, Zenitsu dashed torwards me with his arms stretched out relieved they're safe.
As he was about to cling to me, he stopped in his tracks as it seemed he remembered I'm still hurt.
He then made a 90-degree bow.
Zenitsu: Thank you for saving us, i know you're hurt, but you still save someone as incompetent as me
Rimuru: d-don't worry about it (thank God he remembered I'm still hurt. Otherwise, I'm ready to knock him out)
Rimuru: Anyway, we should get shoichi out of here, tanjiro might need my help with a demon
Zenitsu: Yeah
We then left the room and searched for a way out.
After a few minutes of wandering around, the sound of a tsuzumi suddenly echoed.
The room fliped forward, causing us to fall in the direction we were heading.
Zenitsu: (wait. Did this room just. FLIP OVER!)
as we fell, the doors in front of us started opening one by one until we ended up thrown outside.
TANJIRO POV
After getting separated from rimuru.
Teruko and i wandered around the mansion until we stumbled upon her older brother who's name was kyoshi and he is holding a tsuzumi.
kyoshi explained what happend to him.
as he finished explaining we wondered why he was called marechi by the demon, when Matsuemon who apparently followed us inside the mansion explained to us that marechi is a type of blood that demons crave.
I decide to leave them alone to fight kyogai as they have one of his drums to teleport away.
As i readied a stance kyogai started beating his drums.
After getting tossed around by kyogai, I was able to get my footing and breathe properly by avoiding the papers he scattered during our fight.
Tanjiro: (It's a good thing I knew about these papers ahead of time)
Tanjiro: KYOGAI! I'm not giving you that child!
Kyogai: I WILL GET MY HANDS ON THAT BOY AND RECLAIM MY RIGHTFUL PLACE AMONG THE TWELVE KIZUKI
He stared at me, revealing his scared eye with the number lower moon six
He started beating his drums rapidly, twisting the room in many directions.
Tanjiro: (water breathing ninth form: splashing waterflow, turbulent)
I've managed to get close and saw the opening thread.
Tanjiro: KYOGAI! YOUR BLOOD DEMON ART IS TRULY INCREDIBLE!
I swing my sword successfully decapitating kyogai.
I landed safely and accidentally took a deep breath by mistake, making me feel pain.
Kyogai: Boy...
I glaced at kyogai's disappearing head.
Kyogai: answer me... Did you really think... my blood demon art... was incredible?
Tanjiro: yes I did. However... I can't forgive you for killing
Krogai: I see... then would you tell that friend of yours thank-you... for complimenting my writing for me?
Tanjiro: All right, I'll be sure to tell rimuru. Oh I almost forgot I need a blood sample
I took out the strange knife yushiro gave me and rimuru and threw it at kyogai's corpse.
It started taking a blood sample.
As I went to pick it up I heard a meow and saw a cat.
I placed the blood sample inside it's bag and it left disappearing using yushiro's blood demon art after meowing.
As i was about to leave I gave my respect to kyogai.
Tanjiro: may your soul rest in peace
I left the room andran allover the mansion looking for kyoshi and teruko.
I reached the room where they were in.
Tanjiro: KYOSHI! TERUKO!
They suddenly started throwing random stuff at me.
After calming them down we went to find an exit.
After wandering around I picked up the scents of rimuru, zenitsu, and shoichi.
After a few more steps I picked up the scent of blood, and started moving faster, as fast as teruko and kyoshi can handle.
Once we were outside I saw rimuru in a fight with the slayer from earlier.
