Jennie's POV
Two weeks before the proposal
I don't know what happened but I one day just decided to propose to Precious.
I am not even at home when that idea pops up.
I am in the middle of an important meeting.
Daddy was in the middle of berating the presenter when I suddenly blurted "I want to propose."
My father slowly turned his head at me and raised his eyebrow.
"Really Jen?! In the middle of a meeting you realize you want to propose?" Daddy said in disbelief.
I even heard one employee say "The CEO can talk?!"
I shrugged my shoulders and got up from my seat.
I glared at the presenter and said.
"Revise your whole presentation. An elementary student can make a better powerpoint than you and for fuck sake remove the gifs and clip arts this is not a retreat or a highschool project."
After saying that I walked out of the conference room.
I hurriedly went back to my office. I sat on my desk chair and blindly reach for my lunch bag.
I open it and grab the pecan cookie that precious bake.
Daddy saw me munching on my cookies when he entered my office.
"You know that people can think clearly when they are not hungry." I immediately defended my action.
Daddy looked at me amusedly and replied "I did not even say anything."
I narrow my eyes at him. "You don't need to say anything. I know what you're thinking." Daddy smirks then sits in front of my desk.
"So. You want to propose?"
I nodded at him.
"We need to call the squad then." Daddy said.
"Also Call uncle Seo-joon." I added.
"Why? Are you aware that he doesn't even know how to open a blister pack of medicine properly without letting the tablet fall to the floor?!" Daddy said incredulously.
"Just call him please."
Daddy rolls his eyes in response.
He called several times but no one answered.
"Why did I even bother buy your siblings a fucking phone if no ones gonna use it?"
I shrug my shoulders and replied. "We told you that we don't need a phone but you insist on buying us one. So don't blame us if we don't use it."
Daddy shakes his head and mutters.
"There's no doubt that you are all Go Eun's child."
"Albert. Are my kids at home? Yes. Tell them to come to the office now. Ok thank you."
"All your siblings are home. Now I'll call Seo-joon."
"Hi baby Boo!"
"Hello dumbass."
"As usual You're so sweet Soo-hyun.!"
"I try to be."
"Why did you call?"
"Go to my office."
"No. I am busy"
Daddy smirks and replies.
"I am so sorry to hear that. I'll tell Jen that you can't come to the office now to plan her proposal to Lisa because you are busy. Don't worry Seo-joon. We understand."
"Wait. What?! Jen's gonna propose? No!! I am not busy!!"
"No it's alright Seo-joon. We don't want to impose"
"No! I am joking! I am not busy!"
"Bye."
"Soo-hyuuuuuuuun-" Daddy ends the call.
"He'l be here in less than 30 minutes. I assure you." Daddy said smugly.
"Thank you. " I replied.
Hanbin,Taeyhung, So-hye and Jisoo who were still in her pajamas arrived in the office.
"Did you just woke up Jisoo?" Daddy ask.
Jisoo pouts and said "Yes. I am still sleepy though because I only slept 4 hours ago."
Jisoo went towards the couch to lie down. She used our father's thigh as her pillow.
A loving father as always. Daddy told Hanbin to get the blanket and pillow from my private room for Jisoo to cuddle with.
"You know your sister cannot sleep if she doesn't have a pillow to hug while sleeping."
The rest of my sibling sits on the other couch.
Hanbin handed the blanket and pillow to daddy.
"Here's your pillow Jisoo." Daddy whispered.
Jisoo immediately snuggled on the pillow while Hanbin helped our father place the blanket on Jisoo.
"Why is she always sleeping late?" Daddy asked us.
"Jisoo was trying to complete her thesis in a week daddy." Taeyhung replied.
"Thesis? She's not even in her final year in Columbia right? Or am I wrong?" Daddy ask.
"Nope but Jisoo was bored. She thought taking Chemistry and IT at the same time was hard but she found it easy. So she requested the dean of both departments to let her do her thesis in advance.!"
"Tsk. At this rate, I would have to finish my senior high plus law school in less than 10 years. It would be embarassing if I fail." So-hye whined.
"'Princess don't worry okay? Finish everything at your own pace. Studying is not a competition on who finish first or who has received a lot of awards." Daddy said to So-hye.
"True little sis. I for example, after finishing my degree I plan to study business management so I can help big brother." Taeyhung shared.
"Will that make me feel better?" So-hye replied sarcastically.
"Of course! It means that we can graduate together! Look, I'll even get my Phd if you are still not finish in law school." Taeyhung proudly replied
Daddy shakes his head in amusement. "There's really something wrong with all of my children."
"Thankfully, We all got mommy's intelligence." Hanbin said sweetly.
Daddy's amusement turns into a scowl.
"You got your intelligence from me!"
"Nope." All three of us replied at the same time.
"Are you telling us that mommy's dumb, dear father?" Taeyhung said.
Kim Soo-hyun's eyes widen in fright. Only Kim Go Eun can frighten our father.
"I did not say that! You're right. Your smart because your mom is. I am the dumb one. Let's close this discussion."
My siblings and I snicker in amusement.
Suddenly, Uncle Seo-joon entered my office. He was accompanied by Hae Jin and Bo gum.
Uncle Seo-joon spread his arms and shouts."Your favorite uncle is here!"
All of us ignores him. His two sons even overtake him to sit on the remaining spaces on the couch.
Uncle Seo-joon pouts then he decides to sit on the floor since there's no space left.
"Since everyone is here. I want to announce that I will propose in two weeks time"I said.
"Psh. Why so late? I thought you will propose the first time you saw her." Hae Jin said.
"It's not appropriate." I replied.
Uncle Seo-joon snorts."There's nothing wrong in proposing that very same day you met her. Trust me! I know!"
"True, but it's very wrong to wed in civil because you are cheap. The ring was even bought in an online store. Imagine that." Daddy replied.
Uncle Seo-joon gasp. "Min-young wants a civil wedding! And her ring was customized how dare you!"
"I don't think so papa. Mama denied that she wants a civil wedding. She said it was what you want." Bo gum said.
"Noo! She does!" Uncle Seo-joon said indignantly.
We laugh at Uncle Seo-joon's misery.
"Let's go back to the topic. Focus everyone." I said.
"So 1st pre-nup. What do you think."
"Why bother with pre-nup. We all know that if Lisa divorce you, she will get half of your assets and you won't care." Hanbin said.
"Definitely a Pre-nup. If Lisa divorces Jen, she will get everything of Jen's worth. We will still take care of our partner even if we are sadly already separated" Daddy explained.
"So you meant that the meaning of Pre-nup in our family is not to protect our assets and money but to assure our partners that we are willing to give everything to them once we fuck up?" Hae Jin clarified.
All of us nodded.
"Oh. Okay then. That's good. I mean. What's the use of being rich if the love of your life was not with you. That makes sense." Hae Jin said.
I wrote in my pad pre-nup yey!
"Okay. I have an idea with my proposal." So I elaborate on what I want and what their roles.
Unfortunately, I have to assign the most important role to Uncle Seo-joon and his 2 sons.
They assure me with their life that they will not fail in their mission.
I will plant all the clues inside the mall. I know Lisa will gravitate to everything that connects to us.
I bet she will even buy those things.
The sign should have pictures so Lisa can understand that I am proposing.
While we are in the middle of our discussion. Jisoo decided to wake up.
"What did I miss?" She sleepily said.
"Jisoo you'll be the one that Jen will dip into the pool as a punishment because you'll be the mastermind of why we ate Lisa's cookies." Taeyhung explained.
This little shit. We decided that he will be the sacrifice not Jisoo.
Jisoo stared at me for a moment then her expression changed to happiness
"Cool! I'm In! As long as you'll not drown me! I am willing to do it! Oh my gosh. I am so excited. Hey Jen. I will make a huge confetti bomb. Like it was so big that you need a truck to transport it. "
"Jisoo." I call her but she still doesn't stop talking.
"Daddy. Do you think it would be nice if it was a flower bomb?"
"You'll waste a lot of flowers Jisoo."
Our father replied.
"Oh you're right. Confetti then."
Jisoo excitedly gets up and announces.
"Let's go guys! I need your help to cut all the colorful papers that I will use for the confetti. Let's go to my lab. Come on!"
Jisoo runs out of my office pajamas and all while the rest of our family follows her.
"We can buy that, why do we need to cut it manually." So-hye whined.
Hanbin pats So-hye's back and replied softly "Because it will show that we are making an effort for Jen's proposal and it will also convey that we are all for it. It is some kind of family bonding. We can talk and laugh with our siblings and uncle Seo-joon's family. Don't you think?"
So-hye stares at Hanbin for a minute then smiles.
"You're right Hanny." Then they both went out of my office, leaving daddy and I staring at their backs amusely.
"Well, that turns out great." I nodded in agreement.
"So. The ring? What do you plan?" Daddy asked.
"I want it to shape like a sun. That's what I want."
"Sure. How much is your budget." Daddy teased.
"Don't insult me daddy. You know my budget is unlimited." Daddy laughed.
"Then goodluck to you son. I will help you if you need anything for your proposal. You know that we already treat Lisa as our daughter in law the first time that you introduced her to us. Anyway, I will go home now because I miss your mom."
While my father was walking towards the door I called him again.
"What?"
"Can I please have your card?"
Daddy's eyes narrow. "Why?"
"I need to rent the mall and to buy the ring. So I need your card." I explained.
"No." He turns around but stops when I say.
"I thought you said you would help me?"
"I change my mind." Daddy walks out of my office.
"My card only has a half a million." I mutter. I only have one card. If I need more money, I need to go to the bank and that is very inconvenient.
Suddenly a black card was thrown my way. I almost did not catch it.
I looked up and saw my father smiling at the doorway.
"I'm just joking. Use that, then I'll just deduct everything from your account."
I smiled widely and thanked him.
"I love you Jennie." As soon as he said that, he left.
I am really lucky to have a father like him. Aren't I?
I hope my proposal will be successful.
If Lisa declines, I will just kidnap her.
