As I was studying, I kept on thinking of everything that happened today. Min Ho was the one who tried to ruin my relationship! Noah is the good one! Out of frustration, I accidentally crumbled the math homework I already did! "Crap!" I yelled. I heard the door turn. It was either Kitty or Mae.
"Y/N!" Exclaimed Kitty.
"Hey Kit."
"What's wrong?" "Did something happen between you and Min Ho?"
I wanted to tell Kitty what had happened between us, but for some reason, I kept it to myself.
"Nothing, did you and Dae solve your problems?"
"Not really." "We we're just chatting like friends but then I told him that just being friends might not work for me." "I also walked out right after."
"Kitty!" "You should take this slowly!"
"Well, the damage is already done."
"Regardless, let's study together, Professor Lee told me that you were struggling."
"He told you?"
"He sort of did when I was heading to tutor other kids!"
"He hates me."
"No he doesn't!" "He's just never mind." I muttered.
"I don't have the attitude to study!" "Y/N, let's go get drinks together!"
"No, I need to finish this page."
"Fine, I'll just go get some myself, what's your order."
Today I'm feeling my ice chai latte again.
"Ice chai latte with a spoonful of sugar and some cold foam."
"Alrighty, be right back roomie!" Kitty left.
*ding!*
I opened my phone and it was a text from Noah.
Noah: Hey!
Me: Hi.
Noah: We good?
Me: Of course! You're not the one who tried to ruin my relationship.
Noah: I'm receiving a lot of emotion from you. Want me to come over?
Me: it's okay, you're like 15 minutes away from me.
Noah: How about we go out for lunch?
Me: Sure! What time?
Noah: Let's meet at the entrance of K.I.S.S at 2pm?
Me: K :)
Noah: See you there!
At least I finally have a date now! What should I wear there? I'll figure it out after I finish this math problem. What time is it? It's currently 10:00am. I have loads of time. After 20 minutes, Kitty returned with our drinks.
"Thanks Kitty!"
"No problem, the weather is actually really nice outside!"
"What are you doing this afternoon?" I asked.
"Nothing much, probably just going to chill at campus." "Plus, I might have a half brother!"
"No way you are just telling me that now!"
"Sorry, I forgot!" "Anyway, I found this hospital bracelet in my mom's journal, and it led me to a hospital!"
"When did you discover this?"
"Just last weekend during hiking."
"That's why you left early!"
"Yep!" "So I'm trying to talk to Professor Finnerty since he might be my half brother!"
"What?" "Our teacher might be related to you?"
"Isn't that crazy!"
"Ok, what makes you think that he's your brother?"
"My mom's baby was shipped to Australia and Professor Finnerty is actually adopted and has lived in Australia his entire life!"
"But what if it's just a coincidence, you know hundreds of kids get shipped to places all around the world."
"I have a gut feeling that he's my brother."
"Have you talked to your siblings about it?"
"Not yet since you know, there's a minuscule chance that this entire mystery is like wrong."
"True."
"I'm trying to talk to him one on one, but it's really tough."
"Hmm." "Wait!" "Chuseok is coming up!"
"And?"
"Do you not know what that is?"
"I actually don't so hit me!"
Kitty doesn't know anything about Chuseok and she claims that she's half Korean? Interesting.
"It's a holiday where everyone goes home to have meals with their entire family." "Since you and Alex both don't have any relatives here, maybe you can ask him to go out for dinner."
"Oh gosh, you're right!" "But wouldn't he think that having dinner with a student is a little odd?"
"Then host a dinner for all of us ex-pats."
"Smart Y/N!" "I'll ask him tomorrow during class!"
"No problem." I grinned.
"What about you?" "What are you doing this afternoon?"
"I have lunch with Noah!"
"I thought you hated him?"
"I did, but then it turns out that he isn't a cheater at all."
"What?"
"Yep." "Min Ho made the whole thing up for me to think that he's a cheater, he played us both!"
"Why would Min Ho do that?"
"That's what I'm trying to figure out."
"Ooo, he likes you!"
"No he doesn't."
"You're seriously blind Y/N, why else would he do that!"
"To ruin Noah and I's relationship?" I defended myself.
"Nah we can all see it."
"I know he doesn't like me." I admitted.
"You're just lying to yourself."
I wanted to tell Kitty what I heard, but it was just so embarrassing I couldn't.
"Ugh never mind."
"Great!" "You and Mae both have dates while I'm stuck here on my own with nothing to do."
"You could hang out with Dae?"
"Can't, plus our relationship right now is kind of strange in a way."
"Q also has a date so you can't hang with him." I mentioned.
"I'll just stay here I guess."
"What should I wear Kitty?"
"Show me all your dresses!"
I showed her my 5 dresses I brought from L.A.
"Hmm, I personally am loving the flower dress." "It's giving cute vibes but also the summer!"
"It's literally fall."
"Same thing!" "Plus you can wear the dress with your 2 braids and that would look adorable."
"Fine, I'm trusting you."
Kitty helped me get ready and it turned out so good! I loved my hair and it matched perfectly with the dress.
"You're right, this is so cute!"
"I'm always right."
"I'm leaving now, bye Kitty!"
"Tell me all the tea later!"
"Ofc."
With that, I left me headed to the Kiss entrance. There he stood with some daisies!
"Thanks so much Noah, I love them!" I sniffed the flowers and they smelled amazing!
"I didn't know your favourite type of flower so."
"It's fine, my favourite is lilac though!"
The restaurant Noah recommended was about 2 minutes away so it took us only a little while to get there.
"It's a sushi place!" He told me.
I actually hate sushi.
"Oh, cool!"
We walked into the restaurant and quickly grabbed two seats.
"I'm not sure not to order since I don't really eat sushi."
"I'll help you then!" "Let's do some California rolls!" He told the waiter.
I really didn't want to eat sushi, but here I am. Sigh.
