Desperate waves crashed against the shore, skies rumbled and the ground shook yet somehow it was all so still, the world they lived in and the home they shared, time that slipped and moments that lingered it was all oddly still. Felix was quiet for a second as he removed himself from Hyunjin's body with much strength, grabbing hold of the necklace he rarely ever takes off, removing it from his neck as Hyunjin watched him with surprise "Felix..." the raven head whispered but it was more out of startlement than to ask for his attention as the latter smiled slightly and transparently. he unlocked the necklace and leaned in to put it around the ravenhead's neck "No, lix-" but Hyunjin's words weren't paid attention to when the brunette wrapped the silver chain around his neck, locking it he sealed the act of intimacy. while Hyunjin was all too shaken to even say anything anymore the brunette boy opened his mouth to continue speaking, his eyes glittering with what seemed like tears but the bright smile on his lips was a vivid contradiction
"Then you keep this with you, okay? whenever you're cold and lonely, it'll be your wool to brave the seasons. whenever you think these thoughts again this will remind you of how false these thoughts are, remind you of the home you can always return to, remind you of me"
maybe Hyunjin was just going insane or maybe the layer in Felix's words made tears brim in his eyes. if Felix was here then why did he need this necklace? Felix wasn't someone Hyunjin needed to be reminded of, then why? he couldn't help the tears that fell down his eyes as Felix rushed to wipe them "Nothing to cry about, Hyun" he giggled softly but he knew there were many reasons Hyunjin could cry about and he also knew why he was crying but he wanted to pretend as if there was nothing wrong, for his own dwindling false hope or Hyunjin's sake the answer wasn't clear but for now he wanted to act and pretend that all was going to be well, that he will be okay and so will be Hyunjin despite the haunting of his pessimistic thougts
leaning in he pressed a chaste kiss against the ravenhead's lips before lying down on his chest and snuggling into his neck, eyes closed and breathing smooth the brunette pressed another loving kiss against Hyunjin's neck "Lix?" the cloak of silence was tugged at by Hyunjin who whispered, gulping and ushering away his tears "yes?" the brunette answered, eyes still closed and face still buried in Hyunjin's neck "you're not leaving me, are you?" Hyunjin felt like such an idiot asking that, he hated himself for being so weak and pathetic but he wielded no power over his vulnerable heart that wanted nothing but to flee from his chest and be wrapped around Felix's fingers
"I'm not, Hyunjin, don't fret"
