"Yeah! Of course, see you later then!" 4 smiled as he hung up his phone. He Mario, and their Friends were all at the showground hanging out. 3 had just called 4 to let him know he was coming late and 4 didn't seem to mind
"Was that 3?" Mario, who was sitting next to him on the couch, asked him
"Yeah, he just finished streaming, so he'll be here soon!" 4 replies
Mario looked down at his feet
4's smile faded "You've been acting off since 3 and I became closer, are you okay buddy?" He went quiet for a moment before saying "Are you worried he's going to replace you?"
It was Mario's turn to be silent and speak up "Sure... Let's go with that..."
"Oh...Rio, you know nobody can take your place and you know that" 4 assures him "You're too important and special to me for that" He smiles "So no need to worry!"
"Yeah..." The Red Plumber mumbled under his breath. But this wasn't the case at all.
Even if Mario wasn't worried about being replaced, because he did believe 4 and his words... And even if 3 was both of their friends, something didn't sit right with him since 3 and 4 became friends... They've gotten really close, 3's gotten softer and kinder towards 4, they've also been very touchy with each other...
No, maybe he was over thinking this... They're just friends... He had nothing to worry about... Right...?
After a bit, a Portal opened and 3 stepped out with Eggdog beside him, Eggdog was staring up at him. 3 turned to look down at it
"Now, don't you dare give me that look, be nice, okay?" 3 tells it, he let out a gasp when he was suddenly pulled into a hug
"3!" 4 had a bright smile on his face as he hugged 3
3 chuckled, patting him on the head "Yeah, Yeah... Good to see you too..."
Eggdog jumped on 3's head and started barking loudly causing 4 to flinch and pull away from 3, this also caused Mario to snicker from his spot on the couch
"Eggdog" 3 spoke sternly "I told you to be nice!"
Eggdog just growled, staring at 4
Mario walked next to 4, putting his arm around him "You really aren't good with Animals, aren't you Glitchy?" He chuckles
"O-Of course I am!" 4 stammers "I-Its just weird Eggdog is Suddenly acting like this!"
3 took Eggdog off his head and brought it to his arms "He's been acting like this since we became friends... I don't know why..."
"Yeah..." 4 looks at Mario, moving his arm "Mario's been acting Strange since then too..."
"Perfect" 3 walked to Mario and put Eggdog in his hands, causing Mario to give him a confused look "Then they can become great friends and leave us alone"
"What?" Mario questions, disappointed
"Rio, I told you already, You're irreplaceable" 4 assures him again "A little time away from each other isn't going to kill us"
"You don't know that!" Mario whines
"Yes I do, we've done it before..."
"It does kill us though..."
4 glanced off to the side, recalling a... Specific instance... "Okay...Some worse than others..." He mumbled "Buddy, just please, 3 and I are trying to get on better terms, and we don't really need you and Eggdog...messing it up...?" He rubs the back of his head, he didn't want to word it like that... But with the way Mario and Eggdog have been acting, there wasn't really any other way to word it he turns to 3 and smiled as they started to walk "So! I wanted to run an idea by you! I was thinking-"
Mario huffed "'We don't really need and Eggdog Messing it up' What does he know? Doesn't he know I'm trying to protect him?"
Eggdog looked up at him and barked
"That's what Mario's saying! You get it!" Mario smiles "Hey, you seem to want to keep 3 away from 4, and I wanna keep Glitchy away from 3. So, what if we worked together to keep them away from each other?"
Eggdog quickly nodded

3 and 4 were under a tree, 4 was rambling on about something, probably a video idea on his laptop. Mario and Eggdog were above them in a tree with buckets of water. They both tip them over onto 4 who then becomes soaked
"What the...?" He looked at himself as 3 held back a laugh, 4 looked up and they saw no one or nothing up there. They stood up "I'm gonna change, I'll be back..." They told 3 in a mumble as he walked back to the RV
As he did, 3 brought his hands to his mouth and started laughing

3 and 4 were at the desk playing a game. 3 was on the computer and 4 was beside him on a laptop.
Mario was on a couch eirg Eggdog beside him, also in the game playing with them under the same name as 4. Mario remembered how much 3 didn't like losing so he knew exactly what he had to do, he had to make sure he was constantly over and over killing 3, making sure 3 constantly saw 4's name in place as the one who killed him
3 sighed softly, keeping his composure as he finally spoke "4, please stop. It was funny at first, but now you're spawn killing me constantly and it's getting annoying"
"It's not me" 4 turned his computer to him "I'm on the other end of the Map..."
"What the-?" 3 looked back at his screen, repeatedly getting the death screen. He growled before quickly logging off "SCREW THIS GAME AND THE DAMN FAKERS ON IT!"
Mario laughs and pets Eggdog who barks happily on the head.

A while later, they decided to order lunch, so everyone was around the Grounds eating... Except for Mario and Eggdog. Eggdog approached were 3 and 4 were sitting together and started to ram it's head against 3's leg to where 3 tried to shoo it off
Eggdog whined and started barking, ramming it's head again
"Eggdog..." 3 picks it up and starts to pet it "What's wrong bud? Mario's not THAT bad..."
Eggdog whines again
4 frowns "Maybe it doesn't like being away from you?"
Eggdog barked happily
"Looks like you hit the nail on the head" 3 chuckles "Bud, it's like they told Mario, Something's up with you both, and it's really not helping me and 4 get better with each other"
Mario sat down next to 4 "Nothing's up with us, can't we just hang out with our best friends without something happening?"
4 sighed "I... Suppose you're right..."
3 rolled his eyes "Fine, we can eat together... But only eat, somehow 4 got wet and had to get himself changed, so we lost a lot of time... I actually really need to talk to him before leaving today..."
4 tilted their head confused and Mario glared at 3. Mario clearly didn't like the sound of that

More and more attempts to seperate them. Nothing seemed to be working, in fact, everything Mario and Eggdog had done that day only brought the duo closer. To the point where when Smg4 was working on his laptop and 3 was sitting next to them on his phone, 4 was comfortable enough to fall asleep on him and 3 didn't seem to mind.
Eggdog had had enough, it jumped into Smg4's lap and started to bark loudly causing 4 to shoot awake and and stand up, he quickly fell over seeing Eggdog in front of him
"Eggdog! No!" 3 stood up and moved it away from 4. It growled at 4 from behind him "What has gotten into you!?"
4 sat up rubbing his head
"Sorry about Eggdog..." 3 muttered as he held his hand out to help him up
4 reached out his hand to accept the help. Not without a growl from Eggdog and a Bite to their hand "OW!" He cried out, lucky his glove was there or it would've hurt much more
3 gasped "EGGDOG! THAT'S ENOUGH!" He pulled Eggdog away from 4
4 brought his other hand to the hand that was bit
"God damn it" 3 set Eggdog aside and wraps his arms around 4 to help pull him up "Is it okay?"
"I-I'll be fine..." 4 spoke quietly
3 slowly pulled away from 4 and Mario got between "Alright! That's enough! Eggdog, this wasn't part of the plan at all!"
Eggdog growled, turning away from him
"Plan?" 4 questions "Plan!? Mario, you were in on this!?"
Mario turned to him "I-It was meant to he harmless... Get 3 mad at you, Get you mad at 3...trying to pull you both away from each other..."
"S-So... The Water... The Video Game... Lunch!? Everything you did tod- Eggdog biting me!?"
"N-No! Eggdog was just supposed to startle you awake, it wasn't meant to hurt you..."
"Why would you both do this?" 3 questions, turning Mario and 4's attention to him "Mario, you were the first person to see change in me, why won't you let me near 4!? Why won't you let us just be... Friends...!?" He still seemed hesitant to say that word, although...It was in a much more different way than before
"Mario just thinks... You both have been getting rather close lately..." Mario admits "And he-"
"He's just afraid that I'm going to replace him" 4 cuts him off "After I told him I can't do that!"
"N-No that's not it, I just wanted to protect you..."
"Protect me from what? Mario! This is Smg3, He's trying his best to change and actually be my friend for once, and all you and Eggdog have been doing all day is mess things up, which is the reason we wanted to be alone today! And 3 had something he needed to tell me, and now after what you both did, I'm sure he doesn't want to say anything!"
"Glitchy...Mario's Sorry, he really didn't mean it..."
4 sighs "Listen... I'm not mad at you Buddy... Just disappointed..." He shook his head "I know you're better than this Mario, Eggdog too..."
3 took 4's hand that wasn't hurt "Come on, let's get that cleaned and patched up" They both start walking to the RV "Thanks to your glove, I don't think it's less bad than it could've been..."
Eggdog whined, looking down. It even seemed like it was remorseful of what it did
"Yeah... Maybe we did take it too far..." Mario says with a sigh "We gotta fix it, both 3 and Glitchy made what 3 had to say sound very important..."
