Saffron's POV:
As Erynn and I walked into my old flat, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of nostalgia. It had been a year since I had lived here, and yet the memories flooded back to me so easily.
"The place hasn't changed much," Erynn said, looking around the living room.
I smiled. "I know. It's weird, but it's almost like I never left."
As we began to unpack the boxes, Erynn was quick to offer her help. It was a long & tiring day, and we were both covered in sweat after lugging heavy boxes up the stairs. But somehow, being here with Erynn made everything better.
I watched as she carefully folded my clothes and placed them in the wardrobe. She was so gentle, so caring, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for her.
"Thanks for helping me with all this," I said, as we sat down on the sofa to take a break.
Erynn smiled at me, her eyes meeting mine. "Anything for you," she said.
I leaned my head on her shoulder, feeling my eyes close at the comfort of her touch. "I'm so happy you're here with me," I said.
"I'm happy to be here," Erynn replied softly. "I knew buying the flat next door was the right move." She teased. Putting her arm around my shoulders. Did I mention that Erynn is my neighbor? She now lives in the same neighborhood as me, Nima and Madiha.
My heart swelled at her words, and I knew without a doubt that I'm deeply in love with her. Her touch, her words, her smile... they all filled me with a sense of warmth and security that I had never known before.

As the day wore on, we worked together to transform the flat into a cozy and comfortable home like before. I was busy unpacking my boxes in my room when Erynn called out to me from the living room. "Hey, Saff, come check this out!" She said excitedly.
I made my way to the living room, curious as to what had caught Erynn's attention. As soon as I entered the room, I saw Erynn holding up a guitar pick and a bunny keychain. It took me a moment to realize what she was looking at.
"Where did you find those?" I asked, completely surprised.
Erynn beamed. "I found them at the bottom of one of the boxes. Remember when I gave these to you on one of our first dates?"
I couldn't help but smile, I had kept it all this time, even after our break up. It was a token of our love, something that reminded me of the good times we had shared.
As I took the items from Erynn's outstretched hand, I couldn't help but notice the emotions welling inside me. There was a twinge of sadness, but also a deep sense of warmth and nostalgia.
""I kept them because they reminded me of the good times we had. And also because I knew that one day we would find our way back to each other," I said, a small smile forming on my lips.
"Thank you for always remembering the little things, it means a lot to me" Erynn said, feeling touched by my gesture.
I grinned and leaned in to place a kiss on her forehead, "Of course, I could never forget. I'm just glad I didn't lose them."

As we settled onto the sofa that evening, me resting my head on Erynn's chest, I know that no matter what the future held, I was exactly where I was meant to be... with Erynn by my side.
Looking around to assess the place and see what still needs to be done, I notice Phalo swimming around in its tank.
"Oh, Erynn! I want to introduce you to someone very important to me," I said with a twinkle in my eye.
Erynn looked a little confused, "Someone important? Who?"
I walked over to Phalo's fish tank and pointed inside. "Meet Phalo, my baby," I said, beckoning her to come closer.
Erynn looked amused, but stood up and walked towards me. "Hi, Phalo. You're a cute little fish."
I couldn't help but grin, "Erynn, I want you to meet Phalo's dad." Erynn's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as I turned to Phalo, "Say hello to your new dad, Erynn!"
Erynn looked at me, amused and still a little confused, "I'm Phalo's dad now?"
I giggled and held up my hand, placing it against the glass of the tank. "Yes!, this little girl needs a dad, and you're the only one around. So, Congratulations!" I said enthusiastically.
Erynn played along, and I couldn't help but grin as she started to talk to the fish like it was a real baby. "Well, hello there, Phalo. You're such a little cutie. I'm going to be the best fish dad ever."
I laughed, She's such a good sport and always knows how to make me laugh. Maybe it was a little silly, but this was starting to feel like we were building a future together, complete with a pet fish and all.
As Erynn and I continued to play with Phalo, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the silly, sweet moments that we share together.

As I laid back on the couch, I couldn't help but feel a growing sense of contentment. This is my home, the place where I feel the most comfortable and happy.
Erynn seemed to sense it too. "How does it feel to be back?" she asked, smiling at me.
"It feels like coming back to something familiar," I replied. "And having you here with me makes it feel even better."
Erynn grinned, wrapping her arms around me tightly . "I'm so happy you're back here," she murmured into my ear.
I leaned into her embrace, feeling her warmth and love all around me. Being with Erynn brought me a sense of comfort and security that I had never felt before.

Erynn and I are enjoying a cozy dinner together courtesy of Chinese takeout of course. We couldn't be bothered to cook and even if we were, it would be such a hassle to find all the stuff we need, I haven't even started unpacking the dishes and utensils yet.
We ate in comfortable silence, the only noise coming from our chopsticks hitting the box carton.
"Hey, I have a question for you," Erynn starts, leaning towards me.
"What's up?" I ask, looking up at her.
"So, I might have forgotten to mention that my band is performing at the GRAND Awards next month. And, well, we're also receiving an award," she says with a grin.
"That's huge! Congratulations!" I exclaimed "I knew you guys would be big!"
"Thanks! I'm excited, but nervous too. It's a big deal, and I... I was wondering if you'd want to be my date and come with me?" Erynn asks with a soft smile.
My eyes widened in surprise. "Really? You want me to come with you?"
"Of course! You've always been so supportive of my music and my band. It wouldn't feel right to go without you. Plus, you're my girlfriend, being my date is your job!" Erynn says with a playful wink.
I couldn't help but blush at the charming gesture. "Well, if it's my job then I have no choice but to say yes," I said, teasing her. I grinned excitedly "It's going to be a blast!"
Erynn leans in and places a kiss on my lips, making my stomach flutter with anticipation. "Great! I promise to make it a night to remember," she says with a glint in her eyes.
I can already tell that it would be a special night, full of love, music, and happiness, and I'm excited to be a part of it all with Erynn.

As Erynn threw away our trash, I couldn't contain my excitement any longer. I decided to share the news with our fans on Twitter.
I hit the tweet button and put down my phone, feeling a thrill of excitement, and within minutes, my phone started buzzing with notifications, and I couldn't help but smile at the flood of messages from fans. They were so excited about the news, and their enthusiasm was infectious.
"OMG, I'm so happy for you both!" one fan tweeted.
"You guys are couple goals!" another fan wrote.
I read through the messages, feeling grateful for the love and support that our fans showed us. It made me realize how lucky I am to be accepted so easily by Erynn's fans, when usually partners of rockstars get hate thrown at them. I guess my charm not only works on Erynn but her fans as well.
I turned to Erynn, once she came back through the back door, and showed her the messages. She grinned from ear to ear, and we spent the rest of the evening scrolling through the rest of the comments and messages from our fans.
We laid out my mattress on the floor of my bedroom since my bed frame won't be delivered till tomorrow, exhausted but content, Erynn pulled me close, tucking me under her arm as we prepare to watch a movie, Erynn's phone connected to a mini projector, displaying the screen on my ceiling.
"This is perfect," I said, nestling closer to her.
"Agreed," she replied, kissing the top of my head. "I love you, Saff. So damn much."
"Me too," I said softly, feeling my heart overflow with emotion.
As the beginning credits flash on the screen, I know that this is exactly where I'm meant to be - in my home, with the person I love most in the world.

A month later...
The moment we stepped out of the car onto the red carpet, I was immediately struck by the flashing lights and the sound of the crowd's cheers. I've attended countless awards show for work but this is the first time I'm walking the red carpet so I feel a little overwhelmed.
(A/N: just remove the crowns 😅 they ain't beauty queens here lol)
But then I looked over at Erynn, and any nerves I had disappeared. She looked absolutely stunning in her dress, and the way her eyes sparkled as she grinned at me made my heart race with excitement.
We made our way down the carpet, stopping to take photos and chat with reporters. It was surreal to see Erynn being interviewed and treated like a superstar, but she handled it with grace and charm. I watched from the sides as Erynn and the others get interviewed together.
One reporter stops the band in their tracks, microphone in hand. "Erynn, you're the lead in this band. You've had some major success this year. Can you tell us a little about your process?"
Erynn grins, settling into the spotlight. "Well, it's all about the music for me. I try to stay true to my influences while still giving it my own spin, and I think that's what people are really responding to."
"Congratulations on your new album release, Guys," a male reporter said holding up his mic to them. "Erynn, Can you tell us a bit about your creative process?"
Erynn smiled and took a deep breath. "Well, it usually starts with just a melody or a chord progression that Thalia and Heidi comes up with and then me and Caoimhe build the lyrics around that. Collaborating with each other helps bring out different ideas and perspectives."
I couldn't help but feel proud of Erynn and the band, I watched them turn from a small unknown indie band into rockstars with sold out shows everywhere.
It was now my turn to be involved. "And who is your lovely date tonight?" the reporter asked, gesturing towards me.
Erynn took my hand, twining our fingers together. "This is Saffron, my girlfriend."
I stepped closer to Erynn and wrapped my arm around hers that's holding my hand. Another reporter turned to me and asked, "So, Saffron, what can you tell us about Quirky Stevens' music?"
I turn to Erynn, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek before answering. "Well, I may be a bit biased, but I think their sound is a perfect mix of soulful lyrics and rock and roll. It's the kind of music that can make you feel everything from heartache to pure exhilaration in just one song."
The reporters nod approvingly, scribbling notes on their notepads. Another reporter chimes in. "A lot of fans love you guys together, is there any chance of you sharing more about your relationship?"
Erynn's expression turns serious. "We're in a committed relationship, and we're happy. We don't feel like our personal lives are anyone else's business. We share what we want but we'd love to keep most of it private."
After a few more questions and photos, we said our goodbyes and made our way into the venue, Erynn leaned in close to me. "You were amazing out there," she said softly.
I smiled and leaned in for a kiss, just as the lights from the cameras flashed once again. I couldn't help but laugh as we broke apart. We were ushered to our seats. I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride when I saw the band's name on the list of performers and nominees. This was their moment, and I was honored to be there alongside them.
...
Quirky Stevens had been nominated for several awards that night, and I couldn't help but feel anxious as I waited for the results to be announced.
Suddenly, the announcer's voice boomed through the speakers, "And the winner of 'Best Rock Band of the Year' is..."
I held my breath, my heart pounding in my chest. i looked over at Erynn who was sitting next to me, her hand clasped tightly in mine
"...Quirky Stevens!"
I let out a cheer, clapping my hands as Erynn jumped up from her seat. The cameras swarmed around us as the members all hugged each other. Tears in their eyes.
Erynn turned and hugged me tightly, lifting me off my feet in a tight embrace. "We did it! We won!"
I wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her in for a kiss.
"I am so proud of you," I whispered.
I beamed with pride as I looked at the band, watching as they made their way to the stage. The crowd erupted in applause as Erynn took hold of the microphone.
"Wow, thank you so much... When I was 15, I had a dream to make a living off of music. Now it's happening, and I have the best girls ever by my side."
I watched, tears in my eyes as Erynn gave an emotional speech, thanking everyone who had helped her get to where she is today. She stepped aside, passing the mic to Heidi.
"Wow," Heidi started. "We are speechless."
"This is such an incredible honor, We've been playing together for a long time now, and we've poured our hearts and souls into our music, to have that be recognized is just...wow" Caoimhe added.
"The support and love that we have received from our fans is what has brought us here, you guys are the ones that made this possible! Without your support, we wouldn't be here tonight. We love you!" Thalia said.
The crowd erupted into cheers, and I can see how the four of them couldn't help but smile. I know this is the moment they had dreamed of, the moment that they had worked tirelessly for.
"We also want to thank the other bands who were nominated," Caoimhe continued. "You have all been such an inspiration to us, and we feel lucky to be part of such a talented community."
Heidi took the mic again, looking out into the crowd. "But most importantly, we want to thank our families, our friends, and everyone who has supported us along the way."
The entire room seemed to be on its feet now, clapping and shouting and whistling.
"And to our leader, Erynn," Thalia said, turning to her bandmate. "We couldn't have done it without you. You're the backbone of this band and we wouldn't be here without you."
Erynn grinned widely, her eyes visibly tearing up. At that, the four of them shared a group hug, the audience's cheers and applause washing over them like a tidal wave. I know for sure that there would be countless more shows and awards, but this one would always hold a special place in their hearts.

I sat on the edge of my seat, my eyes fixed on the stage where the band is about to perform. My heart racing with excitement. I couldn't wait to see them light up the stage with their incredible music.
The lights dimmed, and the room fell silent. Suddenly, a sound erupted from the speakers - the strumming of guitars and the pounding of drums. I felt the energy in the room surge, and I looked up to see Erynn bounding onto the stage, a microphone in her hand.
As the first notes of the song filled the room, I was completely mesmerized. Erynn's voice is like liquid gold, filling the room with its power and beauty. As she sang, I could feel the rest of the world fade away, leaving only her and I in a world of our own. Erynn caught my eye and smiled, the corners of her lips curving up as she sang.
Caoimhe, Thalia, and Heidi were positioned around Erynn, their instruments expertly weaving together to create an incredible sound. They moved together on the stage in perfect harmony, each gesture and movement just as powerful as the last.

This is another song that Erynn had written during our breakup. I knew this would be the perfect lead single of their second album, and I feel like we're in a good place so I agreed for them to release it.
But listening to it still reminded me of a difficult time in our lives, and I couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness. But on the other hand, I felt proud of Erynn for channeling her emotions into her art.
The melody was haunting and beautiful, and the lyrics spoke to a pain that was universal. It's a song that Erynn had poured her heart and soul into, a song about the pain of losing me.
As the song came to a close, the audience erupted into a standing ovation. I clapped and cheered with everyone else, my eyes never leaving Erynn. When we made eye contact for the 2nd time, I could see that Erynn is beaming with joy.
As the band left the stage, I couldn't stop myself from running over to Erynn and wrapping my arms around her. Erynn held me tightly, still smiling from ear to ear.
"I'm so proud of you," I whispered.
Erynn leaned in and kissed me softly, her eyes twinkling with emotion. "Yeah?" she said, pulling me in close. "Did you see that?"
I pressed myself against her, feeling her heart thump wildly in her chest. "I did. You were amazing up there."
Erynn leaned in and brushed her lips against my cheek, murmuring, "Thank you."
I felt her knees go weak at her breathy voice.
"Hey, let's go celebrate after this," she said, taking my hand. "This is a big night, and I wouldn't want to celebrate with anyone else."
"Of course."
As the night came to a close and we made our way back home, Erynn wrapped her arm around me, beaming with joy. "Tonight was amazing," she said, her eyes sparkling. "I'm so glad you're here with me."
I smiled back at her, feeling happier than I had in a long time. "Me too," I replied, knowing that this was only the beginning of many more wonderful moments we would share together.

(A/N:) hey everyone, I know I said a few more chapters before the end but after reviewing the story I felt like I'm ready to end it sooner than planned. This will be the last chapter before the epilogue.
I cut out some scenes that I felt where unnecessary or just combined some scenes into one chapter. So yeah just wanted to let y'all know that 😅, I also don't plan on releasing any bonus chapters anytime soon, maybe in the future I will but for now, I'm satisfied with the simple and happy ending for Erynn & Saffron 😊.
