My sincerest apology for the very late update. Ito yung story na excited sana ako gawain pero I had troubles doing so. Ito yung pending story ko na nagulo ang plot because I didn't feel so attached to the story anymore. This story could have been my best kasi si Ayie ang favorite ni Nikka.
This is the long overdue finale for Ayie, hopefully, I delivered it this time.
Ayie
"Nanay, why is the water's color blue?"
"What is the color of the water in the pool?"
"But it's the floor, not the water!"
Napapikit na lang ako. Bakit nageenjoy si Mama na kausapin itong mga anak kong sobrang kulit?! Ako naman ay nauusbusan na ng sagot!
"So what should be the color of the water Raf?"
"White!"
"No Raf, the water has no color. Look!"
At napanganga na lang ako ng ibuhos ng anak ko sa kapatid nya ang tubig.
"Cha!"
And there, Rafael cried as if he was choked to death, and this Rafaella Luchia has no hope! Sa dami naman ng pwede nya imana kay Mama yung pagiging maldita pa!!!!
"Luchia!!!!"
And this cute little brat ran and hide while her brother is crying.
"Raf, .."
"Mama! My drawing..."
"We'll fix this baby."
So I tried fixing the drawing na hindi naman ako kagalingan magdrawing. In the end, si Raf din naman yung nagdrawing, nagpromise na lang ako na bibili kami ng madaming set ng colors. After Raf has peaced out, I searched for that little brat.
"Haii jusko ka Luchia, kapag tulog akala mo'y napakabait mo."
Chacha is sleeping soundly like she didn't do anything wrong. Haii naku kang bata ka! Ano bang gagawin ko para bumait ka? She's a bully! At 2 years old she can speak very clear but she talks way too much as a baby. Kung si Raf, feeling baby, who by the way is still a baby, itong si Chacha feeling independent na.
After Raf drew what he needs to, he also took a nap. Napakasarap nilang tingnan kapag tulog, kapag nagmulat ang mata, para kaming may sampung batang kasama.
Life has been nothing but perfect for me. I do have regular talk shows in the morning and some guestings. May pailan-ilan akong big screen appearances and short serye but hindi kaya ng matagalan. Anyway, bihira lang naman kami magkaroon ng live and that makes me have more time with the kids.
Paeng on the other hand is already a surgeon and was already taking clinics at Medical City and three more affiliate hospitals. Plus, he manages a part of our SGC Foundations. Wala naman ako masabi sa asawa ko, he was so hardworking. Heto nga't tapos na ng college si Regina at nasa senior high naman na si Rayna. Both of them stay here in our house, of course, I won't let them stay other than our house.
Well, never naman ako dinisappoint nung dalawa, very consistent honors, sobrang bait, and both help us a lot at home.
"I'm homeeeee! Tatay is here!"
"Tulog po Tatay."
"Love! I missed you today!"
My husband kissed me.
"So what happened today?"
"Luchia--"
Paeng already scratched his head. Alam na alam na naman nya ang ginawa ng mahal nyang prinsesa.
"Raf and I are coloring and Raf's asking the color of the water when your dear Luchia poured the water! My God Love, what are we going to do with that girl."
"Love, don't stress yourself too much, she's just two."
"Shall I stop working and just look after her?"
"Love, she'll change. She's just on her terrible two age."
I sighed.
"C'mon Love, you don't need to do a lot of things. You've done enough. "
I hugged my husband. Just after a year of maternity leave, the netwrok offered me a regular show, ayaw ko sana tanggapin kaya lang, my husband said, I was in for bigger things. On the other hand, Mama has been very supportive that she takes the kids with her and brings them back during our breaks. Para tuloy kaming naging binata at dalaga ulit.
Mama said, she'll let the kids be with us kapag nag gradeschool na para daw alam na paano magsasabi sa amin is something gets wrong. Well, my kids are lucky, di lang kila Mama at Papa but also to our Nana and Lolo. Palibhasa sila lang yung batang kasama doon sa Germany.
"Sige na, you change your clothes then we'll eat."
"You cooked?"
"Yes, so go and wake your kids up."
And Paeng hurriedly changes his clothes and wakes her kids up. While eating, Paeng tried to ask her daughter about the happenings this morning.
"Cha, what did you do a while ago?"
"I showed Raf the color of the water."
"How?"
"I pour it."
"Why?"
"Because he would not know."
"Cha cha?"
"Tay, the mug is pink so the color of the water is pink so I need to pour so he would know."
We sighed in chorus. Sobrang talino nitong mga anak namin.
"But did you have to pour it like that?"
"Cha, next time you did something wrong, I will really spank your pwet."
"Nanay! Ouchie!"
"Oo! Ouchie yun! Kasi alam mo na bad yung ginawa mo."
I just can't help but roll my eyes.
"Baby, we don't pour water on someone. We won't ruin their work, look what you've done to Raf's drawing."
Haii nako Luchia, akala mo'y napakabait talaga with her puffy eyes. Ito namang ama napakadali namang utuin talaga.
"What do we say when we do something wrong?"
"I'm sorry Raf."
"What are you going to say to Nanay?"
"I'm so sorry Nanay."
"What will you promise?"
"I'm not going to do that again."
"How about your Raf?"
"I forgive you."
My heart smiled when the kids hugged each other. Kahit naman parehong magulo at minsang nakakainis din kasama na itong ama nila, masaya pa rin naman ang bahay. Growing up wala naman akong kaaway, wala ring kalaro. Minsan kung magkikita kami ng mga pinsan ko but that was very rare since sa Germany naman ako nagstay. Kung hindi nga ako kidnappin ni Nana, hindi ko rin halos makakalaro sila Sab at Myelle. I hope my kids would love each other more than anyone else, maybe the same way I love my beloved brother.
"Nanay, napatulog ko na yung mababait."
"Thank you Tatay. I love you!"
"I love you Nanay, more than the stars in the sky."
I smiled at my husband and hugged him tight. God has been so great that he let me have Paeng at the most perfect time. Without him, I would never know how to go through everything. Without him, I would be out of the limelight I worked so hard for years. He is the reason I kept the job and still the reason why I still pursue this passion. Every time I think it's going to be the end, my husband shows up and always lights up my way.
Now I know, I deserve this love. This love that conquers all the storms I faced, this love that makes everything bearable. Sabi nga sa kanta, ikaw ang aking pahinga.
..Sa mundong nakakapagod, oh, ikaw ang aking pahinga...
