"Franky, Robin-chan, Y/n-chan, we're okay here. We're heading there right away!" Nami said in the call.
"Let's do something here." I said.
"Robin can you fight?" Franky asked.
"Of course." Robin answered now full of energy and rejuvenated.
"There's an escort ship on the other side of the bridge. Don't you think that is our escape."
"That ship is currently the only way for us to get out of here." You added on.
"Strong right!"
"Slap!"
"Weapons left, Fresh fire Franky boxing Franky centaur." Franky was really enthusiastic about the whole thing and fighting a lot.
Robin was letting out frustration for all the abuse she had endured in the last few days right now. The marines were jumping in the ocean to escape the attacks from Franky.
"Oi you guys we have three prisoners that removed their handcuffs and are going on a rampage. All of you come out here and protect me!" This Spandam guy really couldn't do anything by himself, he was always relying on the strength of others without helping.
The number of marines started to increase and come at you guys. You weren't really fighting and making Kuro do all the work. You had set a radius around you without friction so that anybody that came close would just slide and fall into the ocean.
"They are really persistent." Franky had reached a conclusion that there was likely no end to this.
"Based on the head count alone they're like a first class army." Robin added
You had thought of saving energy for when the warships arrived because it was probably not too long until they showed up, everything that happened from there would determine whether you guys won or not.
"There's an escape ship up ahead. Don't you think that's the key to our escape?" Franky mentioned for the second time after a while.
"Seems like our best option." Robin said.
Enies Lobby started burning up, the island started burning up, the marines and government officials that hadn't escaped were now trying to run away. You looked off into the horizon and the war ships were making their way to the island.
Robin fell to the ground, shaking uncontrollably. You approached her, crouched down, and placed your hand on her shoulder to offer some support. This must have been a truly traumatic experience for her.
When the ships neared you took that chance to destroy them. "El thor!" You had been able to get two in one shot. The marines noticed it was you and wasted no time in trying to come after you, they threw their weapons when they learnt that they couldn't come near you.
With all the dodging you had no time to destroy another one, the ships came near the bridge and passed it. You were worried about the rest of the crew left behind, they should hurry up and get here quickly.
You put up an ice wall and got enough energy to destroy one more ship.
"El thor!"
"You idiot stop destroying the ships. Hurry up and capture Nico Robin so I can be the hero. The buster call sounds like a gun salute for me he he he. And kill Y/n."
You felt a chill from Spandam's orders you really didn't want to die right now.
There was more commotion coming from where Luffy was fighting Lucci, you looked to see a large hand coming out of the building and Lucci flying out in his leopard form. He went crashing down into one of the warships. This must be one of Luffy's new techniques.
You suddenly realized why Lucci seemed so familiar and how he knew you were in Marie Geoise.
Flashback
It was another day in this place you hated and had learned to call home. The government was in desperate need of an increase in power. They had taken some young prisoners with potential and trained them to fight for the government. You stood out because of one reason.
The ability to regenerate. Once you had defied the orders of a celestial dragon and they tried killing you when they realised that you couldn't die. Back then you were stronger or maybe it was just anger fueling you. After escaping with fisher tiger you experienced a kind of block.
It was a typical day, as typical as it could be in this place. You were being pulled along, being the stubborn four-year-old child you were, you refused to walk. When you arrived, one of the world elders was there along with a boy who appeared to be in his teenage years.
"Hello Y/n I have an offer for you to finally leave this place." The older man's words piqued your interest.
"Just go ahead and take the job with the government."
You were fully aware that the government played a significant role in leading you to this current predicament, so what is stopping you from embracing this opportunity? While the offer may appear to be sensible, your strong sense of pride as an Amazon is what is hindering you from seizing it.
"Nope." You popped the 'p' at the end and then stuck your tongue out.
Back to the present
"Gum-gum giant axe!"
Luffy was demolishing a battleship in his attempt to reach Lucci.
"Ha ha. Did you see that Cutty Flam! It's all over for you guys! Or rather, it was over from the start." Spandam was as arrogant as usual.
"It's a bit too early to say that when the fight isn't over yet." Franky rebutted.
"In fact it's reaching its peak soon." You included.
"The one who is fighting Straw hat Luffy is Lucci. You might have been able to get rid of the others but Lucci is a different story."
The warships began firing at the location where Luffy was fiercely battling. These guys truly had no humanity firing where their own comrades were.
"Straw hat was going on a rampage on that battleship just a bit ago, but now he's been blown to pieces. Serves you guys right." You were itching to beat up that cocky bastard but there were more pressing matters at hand.
"Oi oi oi... they fired at the ship while their own men were on it." Franky didn't believe that comrades would do that to one another.
"That's the navy for you," you said with a knowing nod.
"This is the power of a Buster call, the attack I set in motion! This is justice Cutty Flam, now hand Nico Robin to us and I'll make your criminal charges disappear. Are you saying you'd trust that dangerous woman who carries Ohara blood in her veins over the World Government that protects you ordinary people everyday?!"
"Protect us? What a joke!" You scoffed at the absurdity of his statement.
"If you disobey us, just like Tom, you'll end up dy...." Franky wasted no time and sent Spandam flying across with one strong one to the jaw. This had caught your attention and you wanted to know who this Tom guy was, you looked in but just a little.
I'm not going to let this jerk talk about Tom-san like that he was a wonderful person.
"My my face can't get more swollen." Spandam said picking himself off the ground.
"Can it! I've heard enough of your crap!" Franky said. You were just curious how this guy was still a factor and hadn't been knocked unconscious by now.
Spandam then drew a sword that he had with him but barely used.
"He drew the elephant sword, Funkfreed!" One of the marines said. You took caution of this and moved closer to Robin. You had moved away a while ago to attack the ships.
"That thing is powerful!"
Spandam then started whispering to the sword in hand. "Listen funkfreed. To ensure they won't be able to resist any longer, we'll fatally wound Nico Robin, whose guard is down right now."
He then stood up to attack. "Take this! Elephant chop!" The elephant was coming your way straight for Robin.
"Ice wall."
You put up an ice wall and saw Franky actually catching it with his bare hands.
"He st-stopped it?"
"He's so pathetic in every aspect." Franky said and you saw some blood on the ground it must have hit his leg.
"Frunkfreed! You're an elephant . You shouldn't be losing to him! Go crazy and cut them up."
"And your supposed to be a man but still act like a little bitch, " you said this mostly to yourself but it seemed to lift Robin's spirits as she chuckled slightly.
"Put your nose back elephant unless you want me to shoot you right between the eyes." Franky threatened. You weren't a big Franky fan at the beginning but he was really genuine with everything and was actually pretty cool. The elephant moved away and did as told. You took this chance to melt the ice, since it seemed safe now.
You guys were lucky that the weapon wasn't in the hands of someone with actual skill because this would have been a whole different story.
"Y/n will Mugiwara and the others come here?" Franky asked.
"Everyone will... for sure." Robin said standing up.
"They definitely will!" You threw up a thumbs up and had a wide grin spread across your face.
"I thought I told you I'm betting everything on them Spandam." Franky addressed the failure of a CP9 chief.
"What?"
"I never thought a day like this would come. If I had , the power on that day..... I wanted to get Tom-san back at any cost. Those who know the myth of Enies Lobby. Those who know the power of the world government. The straw hats overturn their common sense and advance. In order to rescue their friend they make the world their enemy without second thought. It's exhilarating.
Up to this very day, I've never once forgotten about Tom-san's death. The stupid face that official. Every time it went through my mind.. I hoped that.."
Franky then started to sprint towards Spandam with Funkfreed in hand.
"Stop that idiot ! Stop!" Spandam tried shouting.
"......one day I'd be able to crush him..!" He threw the elephant on top of the chief.
"....like this. Thanks to them my wish came true. Weapons left!" Franky started attacking the marines that were coming. You guys had taken down so many of them but there were always more stashed somewhere ready to attack. Franky was really enthusiastic even going to the ship.
"Hand over the escort ship to us. I'll prepare an escape route for them!"
"I'll fight , I'm okay now." Robin said after dusting herself off a bit and getting into stance.
"This is different from Ohara.. From that time there's nothing to be afraid of because I'm not alone anymore." You were overjoyed that Robin was embracing the comraderie spirit.
"Franky you should join the crew." You said out of the blue.
"No!" He replied curtly.
There were a couple of battle ships that had gotten past you earlier and were still raining hell fire on the island. You doubted that the Franky family escaped as well as the galley-la workers.
"Sorry, marines! We're gonna use this ship escape. Now, we've finished cleaning out our escape ship, the former escort ship." We had just finished clearing out the ship and began waiting for Luffy to finish his fight as well as the others to arrive.
You wondered what was taking them so long, when you were leaving everyone was wrapping up their fights.
"All we have to do now is wait for Mugiwara and the others." Franky said. You sat down on the deck getting ready to start taking a nap. There was no point in spending perfectly good time awake.
Before you even had the chance to savor any sleep there was something coming from the water in high speed.
"Hey you guys don't die." It was Kokoro and she had everyone wrapped in some kind of blanket thing. They were all dropped onto the deck unconscious and you got up as well. But what was odd was their faces were pale and looked shocked.
"They must've ...They must've received a tremendous shock that they all stopped breathing since they didn't swallow much water." Franky said.
You were still analysing Kokoro who had come here in her bra and pants only, she seemed to be a mermaid but with feet.
"Good thing they're all okay.. but what could have shocked them to make them stop breathing?" Kokoro asked.
"It was you!" You and Franky said at the same time throwing hands. The old woman in question turned her attention to Robin.
"Hm? You must be the friend that pirate king kid came to rescue. I saw you at the shift station right? I remember back then. . . I never thought that you guys would pull something like this."
"Put some clothes on old hag!" Franky yelled to which Kokoro ignored.
"I laughed when I heard him say he was gonna be King of the pirates... but who knows? It might actually happen."
You were almost completely done drying off the crew when they started to get up. It began with Usopp, Zoro and Sanji.
"Is Nami-san okay~"
"You guys are as tough as ever, " Franky praised.
I'm glad you're alive." Kokoro added.
"Ahhhh! So it was real! Mermaids really don't exist." Usopp started.
"So the tales were true about people seeing a mermaid then realizing it was a dugong !" Zoro said.
"Oi! You just made that up." You were trying to defend the woman that had just saved their very ungrateful lives.
"You morons! She still hasn't said she's a mermaid yet! Don't give up on the dream yet!" Sanji was holding on to some invisible string of hope.
"I'm an Icefish mermaid."
"Stop it! Don't say 'Icefish'!" Sanji was bending over punching the deck in anger which you found very irrational. Throughout all this not even one had uttered a word of gratitude.
"That's interesting Kokoro I'd like to know about that." You were probably the only cheery one around.
"But I've never heard of a mermaid with legs." Usopp said. Sanji was still hitting the deck.
"I have an objection, too! Mermaids should be more. . . Mermaids should be more like. . . A well-proportioned sexy body. . . Smooth skin and flowing hair that's beaming and beautiful..!" Sanji had been fantasizing until his eyes had turned into hearts. It seemed like whenever he thought about it it went back directly to Kokoro-san.
"Stop it!" Sanji yelled more to himself.
"When mermaids are around 30 their tail fins fork into two and they become able to live on land. They're a mysterious species. If you go to the fishman island one day you'll see."
If you recall properly that was fisher tiger's home, you definitely wanted to visit.
"Huh? Fork in two! I see. They say when a cat lives 100 years, its tail splits into two and it becomes a monster." Sogeking was way out of line on this one.
"Oh Goblin cat?" Sanji tried consoling himself.
"Don't lump me in with monsters. Couldn't you at least say thank you for what I did?!" Kokoro defended.
"Yeah guys she did save your lives." You said.
"Thank you very much Kokoro-san!" All three said and bowed their heads in a show of gratitude.
"No problem."
Then Nami got up and so did Chopper which was good.
"Robin-chwaaan!" Sanji said but she was swooped up by the other two.
"Rooobin!" The two of them said excitedly as they ran towards her.
"I'm so glad we made it in time , Robin! So you're okay!" The navigator spoke.
"Yes all thanks to you guys." Robin appreciated.
"Grandma! That's amazing! So you were a mermaid all this time?! I was thinking you were different since you have fins and scales!" Chimney said laughing.
"You should have noticed grandkid!" Franky said. Chopper then fell on the ground.
"Chopper!"
"Are you okay?!"
"Oh. . . . ? I can't move my body." Chopper said from the ground.
"It's not surprising. We'll tell you what happened when this is all over." Zoro said.
"For now Kuro can carry you around ." You added.
Kuro came and took care of Chopper. Zoro was going up the steps most likely to get a close up on the situation. The island was covered in fire, you also walked up with Franky to check on things. There was just one more guy missing.
"It seems like they've been ordered not to kill Nico Robin in their attacks." Franky said.
"So that's why this bridge isn't being targeted right now." Sogeking said.
"Them trying not to kill her must mean they still intend to get her back." Zoro added.
"After completely destroying Enies Lobby, they'll probably engage in some close combat to get her back." Franky noted.
"That has the highest possibility of occurring." You said.
"Oi oi oi, isn't that bad? We're all physically wrecked, and on top of that, there are tons of crazy powerful guys on those battleships, right? Where's Luffy right now?" Sogeking asked.
"I see the dust of combat still coming up from the top of this bridge's first column." Franky stated as you pointed it out for Usopp who was looking in the wrong direction. "His opponent is, of course , that pigeon guy, Rob Lucci."
"It's not that far from here! If we give him a hand-" You quickly cut off Usopp from continuing.
"No! We don't help." You quickly interjected.
"Don't bother. The pigeon guy is no ordinary man." The swordsman said.
"Luffy can handle this fight by himself." You said.
"What's the point if we get dragged into the fight and get separated again? To make sure we still have an escape route regardless of when that group of battleships turns this way, we'll wait for Luffy right here. That's all we need to do . . . The storm is just beginning." Zoro finally concluded his long speech.
"Understood." Usopp said.
Sanji then came up to where the rest of us were.
"Franky your guys are..." Sanji started.
"Ha hah ha You damn idiot! They've got the luck of the devil! They're fine I'm sure they've escaped okay!" Franky's voice was quite shaky from what you could hear the guy must've been worried about his family which is normal.
"We can depart anytime. Once Luffy gets here , we can set sail right away." Nami had finished getting the ship ready for departure.
"But simply put, there are about as many battleships as there are of us." Sanji said puffing out a smoke.
"This is still after I destroyed all those ships." You said shaking your head.
"Even if we could set sail, it's virtually impossible to get through here." Sanji finished when there was a voice heard through the speakers.
"This is a report from the front gate in the northwest. We've completed retrieval of Enies Lobby's marines and officials. Also, at the front gate , we identified about fifty pirates, including the giants, escaping the main island."
