The next morning, when I walked into the kitchen for breakfast, Fred, George and Ginny looked at with wide eyes.
"What?" I asked, narrowing my eyes as I sat down.
"Is it true." Fred whispered.
"Is what true." I whispered back.
"You and Lupin."
I sighed. "Yes." I muttered.
"Wicked." George said.
"No! Not wicked!" Mrs. Weasley shook her head, piling eggs onto everyone's plates.
I felt shame whenever I looked Mrs. Weasley in the eye, and she noticed, her eyes softening. "Sara, I'm not upset about that. I'm upset that that grown man hurt you." She said the last part loudly towards Sirius.
He blinked. "What did I do!"
"You couldn't have tried talking to him?"
"I did!" He turned to me. "I swear to Merlin I tried Sara, but he was too stubborn. Always all "I don't wanna hurt her, I already hurt her when I slashed her."
"He hurt me even more by not responding to me." I stabbed my fork at my plate.
"We know."
All conversation about Remus dropped when he walked into the kitchen, pausing when he saw me.
"Excuse me, I have to go get ready for training." I stood up from my chair, pushing my half eaten breakfast away, and stalking out of the room.
Soon, I was out the door and arrived to training twenty minutes early.
"You're early." Mad-Eye growled.
"I know. I was avoiding a certain someone."
He scoffed. "Lovers quarrel?"
"More like ex's quarrel." I replied.
He eyed me. I felt like his fake eye was trying to read my mind and I looked away.
"You can get your anger out during training." He said, with an evil grin.
And I did. I felt great after training, letting all my rage out. I was firing spells at a fake dummy, and I even ended up punching it.
"Well, you're not going to physically hit You-Know-Who if he comes at you, but good job." Mad-Eye said.
Tonks clapped from the side and I breathed heavily
"Go home." He said. "You did good today."
I smiled. "Thanks."
"See you at dinner!" Tonks called to me.
Walking back into Grimmauld place, it was great luck when I bumped into Remus. Physically bumped into him, as I was heading up the stairs.
"Oh, Sara. Hi. Sorry." He stammered.
My pushed my damp hair out of my sweaty face. "Excuse me. I'd like to go shower please."
He flushed. "Right. Yes. Of course."
We both side stepped to the same side
"Oh uh." I mumbled.
We both side stepped together again.
I grabbed his arm, spinning us around so that I was on the stairs now. "There we go." I turned around and ran up the stairs, cursing under my breath at the way my heart was caught up when I touched his arm. I took a quick shower, before wearing something more comfortable. Soon, it was time for dinner, and I sat myself as far away from Remus as possible.
"Mum, when's Harry coming?" Asked Ron, through a mouthful of chicken.
"Eat with your mouth closed." She snapped. "I'm not sure, Dumbledore has to decide on that."
Tonks started changing her hair colour absent mindlessly while eating, and I watched with Awe.
"Make your hair look like mine." I demanded jokingly.
She obliged, and now her hair looked just like mine with the same thick sandy colour.
I grinned. "Wow, I wish I was a metamorphosis."
After dinner, we all lazed around the living room, me watching Ron and Ginny playing chess.
"Wrong move, buddy." I said to Ginny, as one of Ron's pieces smashed Ginny.
"Damn it!" She cried angrily as I laughed.
I was laying on my stomach on the ground next to Ollie, as we were watching, when I felt a pair of eyes watching. I glanced up to see Remus looking at me. I narrowed my eyes and he looked away, focusing on his goblet instead. I shook my head and turned back to the chess game.
I huffed with irritation. What sucked the most was that I really missed him, and seeing him front of me was making it so hard not to just grab him and hug him and never left go. I started tapping my hand on the floor.
"Merlin, Sara why are you so fidgety?" Asked Bill, noticing my hand.
"I hate sitting still for too long." I lied. "I'm going to get some water."
I went to kitchen and got myself a glass of water. I felt someone knock on the kitchen door. "Sara."
I turned around. "What is it Remus?"
"Can we just have a chat?"
I finished my water. "Fine.....Wait." The closer he got the more I noticed something on his neck. It was a dark spot, right under his jaw. A bruise
I felt my heart flop.
"What?" He asked, eyeing me with concern.
"Who gave you that?" I whispered, pointing to his neck.
"What?" He looked confused, before his eyes widened. "Oh! No Sara wait let me explain-"
"YOU LIAR!" I yelled. "YOU FUCKING LIAR!"
"No Sara please wait just listen-"
"NO! You, WHO DID THAT."
"Sara I-" he pleaded.
I ran out of the kitchen angrily. I wanted to grab Ollie and Bill and haul them away to talk, but just as I reached the living room, Remus caught up with me. "Sara please!"
"Oh enough fighting you too!" Sirius jumped up.
"Who." I demanded, rounding on Remus.
"Sara just calm down." Mrs. Wesley said. "Whatever it is, you can talk about it when you've calmed down."
"WHO!" I ignored Mrs. Weasley, staring down at Remus
"A muggle girl. I- I'd see her working at a coffee shop and, she invited me for tea and it just, escalated but it meant nothing to me!"
I let out a shrill laugh. "Nothing to you my arse! Did you know I went on a date with Charlie Weasley last year! I couldn't even hold his hand without thinking of you! We didn't even kiss because you're stupid fucking face would appear in my mind! I haven't let a single man touch me in a romantic way because of you! And here you are, claiming you still love me, yet letting a girl suck your face!"
Sirius gasped. "Actually Sara, fight him."
"I stopped her alright. I realized-" Remus pleaded
"Not until after she practically devoured your neck!" I cried, tears running down my face.
"I swear I stopped. Please! I was, it was a distraction! Sara I-I didn't know ..."
He tried to hold my hand but I shoved him away. "DONT TOUCH ME YOU FOUL MAN!"
And with that, I ran up the stairs, retreating to my room in tears once again.
Downstairs, I could faintly hear yelling voices.
"HOW COULD YOU DO SUCH A THING TO HER REMUS!" Mrs. Weasley yelled. "I didn't even know it was about you, but do you know how much she'd spent writing letters to you! Charlie came home saying what happened, and he said he could see the love she had for you in her eyes! He could see how much she missed you!"
"Remus you know I'm usually on your side but this was a horrible horrible move on your part." Sirius yelled.
Soon, Mrs. Weasley must of made everyone leave because the girls came into our room, and soon, Bill, Ollie and the twins did too.
"I'm sorry Sara." Bill said softly.
Ollie sat down on my bed and pulled me in, letting me sob onto his chest.
"It hurts so much because I still love him!" I wailed. "I still love him even though I don't want to!"
He rubbed my back while everyone else sat, just keeping my company.
"If it makes you feel any better, Lupin looked like he was close to tears." Fred said.
"Because he got caught!" Ginny cried.
I wiped my eyes. "Whatever. I'll be fine. I'll get over it. I'll be fine."
The next morning, I was glad to see that Remus wasn't at breakfast.
"He won't be coming around much anymore, except for the meetings." Sirius informed me.
"I don't care." I snapped, my eyes still red.
Once everyone had left last night, leaving just me and the girls, I found myself unable to sleep. Hermione was out cold, but Ginny stayed up keeping me company.
"He's a filthy liar." I sighed.
