"Kara, wake up!" Lawton shouted, jumping on my bed in attempt of getting me up.
"Leave me alone!" I replied, trying to push him off with my legs. He gripped it and dragged me off the bed, I pulled the blanket with me as I fell down on the floor and cried out.
"What's happening?" Denzel asked, walking into the room.
"I want to sleep" I said, Lawton still carrying my legs.
"You have school, Demelza" he said in a calmer tone.
"Can I get homeschooled?" I asked, glancing up at him.
He shook his head, amused "The last time a La Masseria got homeschooled, we had to moved live with the Ferraris for 4 months" he stated, narrowing his eyes at Lawton.
He left my legs and held his hands up in an innocent way "I will not take the blame for Hester's actions" he said, walking out of the room.
Denzel walked over to me and dragged the blanket away "Get up!"
"Please, 15 more minutes" I said, arranging myself on the surprisingly comfortable floor.
"Okay" he walked out.
I was about to fall back at sleep when cold water splashed down on me, drenching me wet. I scream in horror, jumping at the coldness of the water and turned to face Denzel holding an empty bucket.
"I'm always ready to wake up a stubborn sibling from sleep" he said, smiling "Get ready, Del" he added before walking out of the room and closing the door behind him.
I frown, squeezing my hair as I walked into the bathroom and took a bathe. The uniform for my class was a simple knee length black pleated skirt, white short sleeve shirt and a black tie. We were allowed to were any black or white shoes and white socks.
I arranged my hair into a double half-up half-down, before wearing my knee socks and NA-KD beige chunky loafers. I took my white and nude pink colour block zip front backpack.
"Good morning" I greeted with a smile, seating in the middle of Casey and Hester. They greeted in their various ways, only Rauw greeted back.
"Good morning Kara" he greeted. Denzel walked into the dinning room with a plate in his hand and placed it infrint of him, I furrowed my eyebrow.
"You cook?" I questioned, picking up the fork and knife.
He shrugged "Depends for who"
Lawton cough from the other side of the room "Can I get my own?" He asked.
Denzel and I turned to him "She doesn't really eats much and have a very small appetite" he mumbled in addition.
"That's strange. All the La Masseria's have some strange sense of gluttony" Denzel commented, taking a seat around the table.
"I'm just not hungry. After a few spoons, I feel like throwing up what I just ate. It's-" I looked for a word, taking the 2nd spoon of the marvelously cooked breakfast and pushed it away "Sorry, I'm full"
He gave Rauw a look at my action. Rauw sipped his coffee, looking at nothing in particular as he busily ate his breakfast.
"Let's go" Kiernan said, standing up and waving the others good bye.
"Bye" I said with a small wave.
"Study well" Hester mocked.
"Dude, who says that? 'Study well' couldn't think of anything better?" Riordan asked.
"Shut up and get going. It's nice not having to go to school" Lawton commented with a smile, sipping his coffee.
"Why are you not going to school?" Haaland asked "I'm calling your Dean"
"Hey! Please!"
I heard Casey chuckled at his response as we walked out of the house. Rio took his own car while Kiernan proposed to drive Casey and I to school like he wasn't actually suppose to.
A way to make him feel like a gentleman*literal eyeroll*
Allegro Secondary and High school wasn't bad. It was big and.... everything a rich private highschool was suppose to be. Casey and Kiernan walked over to their classes after explaining some things to me.
Rauw made me skip a grade. Like of all the things I would like to remember, solving Y×X will be the first on the list.
I glanced at the different lockers, looking for the number 1389 written on any of it. The bell suddenly rang through the halls and within a blink, I was standing alone in the hallways.
"The only time I ever arrived early was for birth" I commented with a frown, finally noticing the locker. I unlocked it, inputting my fingerprint and PIN, in case before filling in my books.
"Jocasta?" I turned to face Jovie with a small smile.
"The world really is small" she commented.
"Yeah" I replied "You too you're late.... What happened?"
She rolled her eyes "No gas and I actually told my driver to fill the day before" she said "We should get going. Mrs Yamaha is every strict on attendance and behaviour. You can fail the test but still have a nice mark because of those two factors"
"Then what are we doing here!" I questioned, taking her arm and asking her to lead the way. She laughed and walked through the halls, heading to the maths class.
"Mrs Genovese, you're late" she announced "Who is the other lady?"
"Kara.... Kara FerrariMasseria" I said with a smile.
The woman let out an exasperating sigh throwing her head back in frustration "Another one?! I've been teaching in this school for 14years and here I thought there was no other La Masseria to pass through me. Hell, I even had two in my class!" she complained.
"Seat down on the first bench!" She said sternly "I will handle you exactly like how I handled Riordan Masseria"
Jovie giggled next to me. She glanced at me and laughed harder, heading to the back of the class. I held a shock expression on my face, taking my time to seat down on the first bench in the middle row of the class.
I sat down, crossing my arm across my chest and staring down on the small table infront of me. Suddenly, I didn't feel to be part of the class anymore. My head felt lighter and my eyes went a little blur as I stared down at the bench.
I have a problem.

"I can't believe what Mr Bicca( chemistry) did when he discovered you were a La Masseria. Mrs Yamaha was even more lenient. He literally spent 1 hour interrogating you" Jovie mocked, walking into the cafeteria.
"They act like I wasn't suppose to be in middle school. Was I with Haaland when he exploded the chemistry laboratory?!" I grumbled annoyed.
What all those teacher did were totally unfair. It wasn't because is as related to them that I had to pay for their sins, especially those of Riordan. That child was a devil when he was 14.
"Come on, Let me present you to my friends" she said. I noticed the dirty, jealous and admiring looks the other students gave me. Others were busily gossiping and throwing me angry and dirty stares while others gave me pure looks of envy.
"Must have figured your brothers are infamous" Jovie said, noticing the stares. I nodded an followed her to her table.
"Guys, this is Jocasta and Jocasta, this is Shaun, Daisy and Henry" she said, gesturing at each one of them.
"Hey" I greeted, seating down next to her.
"Hey" Shaun greeted "You're new?"
I nodded "I just got transferred from France"
"Nice. I figured from the accent" Henry stated.
The noise in the cafeteria simultaneously seemed to reduse. I could throw my pen and hear the echo through the big huge spacious hall.
"La Masseria" Daisy said, staring behind me "Those guys are lit especially Rio. Casey is so lucky being related to them"
Jovie narrowed her eyes at me. I shook my head in reply, knowing what he was thinking about.
"I heard Est finally broke up with Mabel? I knew they wouldn't last for long anyway. Mabel is a golddidder, she thought the whole world revolved around her because she is bestfriends with a model. She seems to forget about her shameful back ground she said.
"Excuse me but that's my cousin you are insulting" Jovie said defensively.
"Well... She is a bitch and I wasn't talking about you why are you so offended?" Daisy rolled her eyes.
"But she has all the right to support her family member. You have no right to insult any one like that, Daisy" I corrected.
"That's how she is. She is Rue's family friend anyway" Jovie commented.
"Will you three calm down?" Henry asked "And Daisy stop. We both know what will happen if they hear you speak about La Masseria issues"
I turned and glanced at their table. Casey and Mabel weren't seated there. Rio had his hands wrapped around another girl while Kiernan gave him disgusted looks while discussing with his friends; Coen and Wren.
"You won't tell them you're a Masseria, now? Word spread around fast" Jovie whispered.
I shrugged, looking up. Kiernan waved at me with a smile, I waved and smiled back.
"Did you just greet Kiernan?" Shaun asked.
"Woah, so you're a gold digger" Daisy asked "And you act so holy?! What a twist!"
"Think before you talk. Do you even listen to the stuff that comes out of your mouth?" I questioned annoyed at her rude behaviour "You know I'm that bitch which can quickly change any relationship you have with my guys. I could change your status at any time with a just a blink so fucking insult my family again and I will demonstrate the power of La Masseria on you"
