━━━━━━━━━━━━ You sit next to Will at the kitchen table eating scrambled eggs on toast with a bit of bacon while Joyce hands you a glass of juice.
Down the hall Jonathan quickly walks out of his room buttoning up his shirt as Joyce turns to him.
"Hey, hey, hey. Wait up" she says walking towards him
"Oh, no. I'll eat at work" Jonathan tells her "I'm late"
"No. Your cheek" Joyce says wiping the lipstick off of his cheek making you chuckle
"Alright, alright. I gotta run. See you later" Jonathan says and quickly walks out the door
"Ugh. Gross" Will says making you look at him
"Aww. I don't think you're gonna think that when you fall in love" you tell him as Joyce sits down at the table with them
"I'm not gonna fall in love" Will tells his older sister
"Good morning. Good morning" Steve says with a smiling walking into the house
"Hi, Stevie" you say smiling at him
"Hi, gorgeous" Steve says leaning down to kiss your lips
"Gross" Will says again and Steve looks at him
"What's gross?" he asks confused
"Love. Love is gross" you tell him and Steve sits down next to you
"Hey" Joyce says standing up looking at the fridge "What happened here?" she asks looking at the fallen magnets on the ground
"I don't know" both you and Will answer as Steve takes a bite of his girlfriend's eggs
"Hey, get your own eggs" you say slapping his hand away
"Yeah, Steve help yourself i made more then enough for you" Joyce says smiling at the boy
"Thank you, Joyce" Steve says giving her a smile back and grabing his plate
"What are you two doing today?" Joyce asks sitting back down
"Steve has work again today" you say taking a sip of your drink
"I just wanted to see (y/n) before i start" Steve adds on
"She'll probably end up there anyways" Will says chuckling a little
"How many times have you gone to the mall?" Joyce asks you
"I don't know" you say shrugging your shoulders
"Don't go today, please. Hopper still things thoese men from the lab are looking for you and El" she tells you
"They're gone. The lab is shut, the bad men are gone" you say taking a bite of your toast
"You don't know that. Hopper is still keeping El under strict rules" Joyce says making you roll your eyes
"She deserves to get out more" you say softly
"She's going out today" Will says making you give him a look
"To where?" Steve asks and you keep giving Will the look
"We are just going to Mikes to play D&D" Will answers making you smile
"Oh cool, sounds like fun" Steve says smiling at him

Robin stands at the front counter at Scoops while Steve is sitting in the back room. Dustin walks into the shop and goes straight towards Robin smiling.
"Hi"

"I'm Dustin"
"I'm Robin"
"Pleasure to meet you. Uh, is he here?"
"Is who here?"
The back door slams open to show Steve in his full uniform smiling at the young boy.
"Henderson" Steve says with a chuckle "Henderson! He's back!"
"I'm back! You got the job!" Dustin says as Steve walks around the counter towards him
"I got the job!" Steve says then imitates a trumpet then he starts to do his handshake with Dustin
"How many children are you friends with?" Robin asks as you quickly walk into the shop
"(y/n)! He's back" Steve says happily
"I know. I wanted to get here before he does" you say smiling at them "Hi, Dusty"
"Hi" Dustin drags out as he hugs you
"You knew?" Steve asks you confused
"I wanted to be a surprise for you" you say hugging Dustin back
"It definitely is a surprise" Steve says as Dustin moves out of your arms "Baby, you weren't supposed to come in for a couple of days" he whispers to you
"I know, but i wanted to see Dusty" you smiling at him

"No, no. No way. Hotter than Phoebe Cates? No" Steve says as you are sitting next to him in one of the booths with Dustin eating some ice cream
"Brilliant, too. And she doesn't even care that my real pearls are still coming in. She says kissing is better without teeth" Dustin tells them
"Wow. Yeah, that's great. Proud of you, man" Steve says shocked at what he is hearing "That's kind of romantic"
"Do you really just get to eat as much of this as you want?" Dustin asks pointing to the ice cream in front of him
"Yeah. I mean, sure. It's not really a good idea for me, though, i gotta keep in shape for my lady" Steve says giving you a smile
"Yeah, and how's that working out for you?" Robin asks making the three look at her "He eats ice cream every time (y/n) leave's because hes sad and he misses her"
"Shut up! Ignore her" Steve snaps as you look to him
"Stevie" you say smiling at him
"She's a liar" Steve tells you
"She seems cool" Dustin says taking another bite
"She is cool" you say smiling leaning more on Steve's side with his arm around your shoulders
"So, where are the other knuckleheads?" Steve asks changing the subject
"They ditched me yesterday" Dustin tells them
"What?" you ask leaning forward
"My first day back. Can you believe that shit?"
"Whoa, seriously?" Steve asks him
"I swear to god. They're gonna regret it, though, big time, when they don't get to share in my glory" Dustin tells them
"Glory? What glory?"
"So, last night, i was trying to get in contact with Suzie. And, uh..." Dustin looks around the shop before leaning in and whispers something to the couple
"What?"
"Uh..." Dustin then whispers it again but they still can't hear him
"We can't hear you" you tell him
"Just speak louder" Steve says to him
"I intercepted a secret Russian communication!" Dustin yells out to them making everyone in the shop look at them
"Jeez, shh. Yeah, okay, that's what i thought you said" Steve says to him
"What does it mean?" you ask Dustin confused
"It means, (y/n), we could be heroes. True American heroes" Dustin tells her getting their attention
"American heroes" Steve says smiling
"Just think, you two can have anything you want" Dustin tells the couple
"Anything?"
"Anything"
"What's the catch?" Steve asks him
"No catch, just need your help" Dustin tells them
